2Immobilized thrombin on X-ray radiopaque polyvinyl alcohol/chitosan embolic microspheres for precise localization and topical blood coagulation显示文摘Trans-catheter arterial embolization(TAE)plays an important role in treating various diseases.The available embolic agents lack X-ray visibility and do not prevent the reflux phenomenon,thus hindering their application for TAE therapy.Herein,we aim to develop a multifunctional embolic agent that combines the X-ray radiopacity with local procoagulant activity.The barium sulfate nanoparticles(BaSO4 NPs)were synthesized and loaded into the polyvinyl alcohol/chitosan(PVA/CS)to prepare the radiopaque BaSO4/PVA/CS microspheres(MS).Thereafter,thrombin was immobilized onto the BaSO4/PVA/CS MS to obtain the thrombin@BaSO4/PVA/CS MS.The prepared BaSO4/PVA/CS MS were highly spherical with diameters ranging from 100 to 300μm.In vitro CT imaging showed increased X-ray visibility of BaSO4/PVA/CS MS with the increased content of BaSO4 NPs in the PVA/CS MS.The biocompatibility assessments demonstrated that the MS were non-cytotoxic and possessed permissible hemolysis rate.The biofunctionalized thrombin@BaSO4/PVA/CS MS showed improved hemostatic capacity and facilitated hemostasis in vitro.Additionally,in vivo study performed on a rabbit ear embolization model confirmed the excellent X-ray radiopaque stability of the BaSO4/PVA/CS MS.Moreover,both the BaSO4/PVA/CS and thrombin@BaSO4/PVA/CS MS achieved superior embolization effects with progressive ischemic necrosis on the ear tissue and induced prominent ultrastructural changes in the endothelial cells.The findings of this study suggest that the developed MS could act as a radiopaque and hemostatic embolic agent to improve the embolization efficiency.Xiaohong Li Xiongfa Ji Kun Chen Muhammad Wajid Ullah Basen Li Jiameng Cao Lin Xiao Jun Xiao Guang Yang 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,7:6

4Cross-Modal Complementary Network with Hierarchical Fusion for Multimodal Sentiment Classification显示文摘Multimodal Sentiment Classification(MSC)uses multimodal data,such as images and texts,to identify the users'sentiment polarities from the information posted by users on the Internet.MSC has attracted considerable attention because of its wide applications in social computing and opinion mining.However,improper correlation strategies can cause erroneous fusion as the texts and the images that are unrelated to each other may integrate.Moreover,simply concatenating them modal by modal,even with true correlation,cannot fully capture the features within and between modals.To solve these problems,this paper proposes a Cross-Modal Complementary Network(CMCN)with hierarchical fusion for MSC.The CMCN is designed as a hierarchical structure with three key modules,namely,the feature extraction module to extract features from texts and images,the feature attention module to learn both text and image attention features generated by an image-text correlation generator,and the cross-modal hierarchical fusion module to fuse features within and between modals.Such a CMCN provides a hierarchical fusion framework that can fully integrate different modal features and helps reduce the risk of integrating unrelated modal features.Extensive experimental results on three public datasets show that the proposed approach significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art methods.Cheng Peng Chunxia Zhang Xiaojun Xue Jiameng Gao Hongjian Liang Zhengdong Niu 2022Tsinghua Science and Technology2022,27,4:2
5Dehydrogenation of isobutane to isobutene over a Pt-Cu bimetallic catalyst in the presence of LaAlO_(3) perovskite显示文摘In this study,isobutane dehydrogenation to isobutene reaction was carried out in a series of PtCu bimetallic catalysts prepared by coimpregnation method.The catalysts were characterized by means of several techniques,including XRD,N_(2) adsorptiondesorption,TEM,XPS,H2TPR and TG.The results show that the existence of LaAlO_(3) perovskite can enhance the dispersion and sintering resistance of metal nanoparticles and facilitate the transfer of carbon deposits from active sites to the support.Interestingly,the perovskite nanoparticles can also inhibit the reduction of CuOx and the formation of PtCu alloys,resulting in the suitable interaction between Pt and Cu.The PtCu/LaAlO_(3)/SiO_(2)catalyst exhibits the optimal dehydrogenation performance with an isobutane conversion of 47%and isobutene selectivity of 92%after 310 min reaction,which was ascribed to the unique role of LaAlO_(3) perovskite as well as the appropriate PtCu interaction.Yanyong Li Meng Ge Jiameng Wang Mengquan Guo Fanji Liu Mingxun Han Yanhong Xu Lihong Zhang 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,4:2
6SIZ1 negatively regulates aluminum resistance by mediating the STOP1–ALMT1 pathway in Arabidopsis显示文摘Sensitive to proton rhizotoxicity 1(STOP1) functions as a crucial regulator of root growth during aluminum(Al) stress. However, how this transcription factor is regulated by Al stress to affect downstream genes expression is not well understood. To explore the underlying mechanisms of the function and regulation of STOP1, we employed a yeast two hybrid screen to identify STOP1-interacting proteins. The SUMO E3 ligase SIZ1, was found to interact with STOP1 and mainly facilitate its SUMO modification at K40 and K212 residues. Simultaneous introduction of K40 R and K212 R substitutions in STOP1 enhances its transactivation activity to upregulate the expression of aluminum-activated malate transporter 1(ALMT1)via increasing the association with mediator 16(MED16) transcriptional co-activator. Loss of function of SIZ1 causes highly increased expression of ALMT1, thus enhancing Al-induced malate exudation and Al tolerance. Also, we found that the protein level of SIZ1 is reduced in response to Al stress. Genetic evidence demonstrates that STOP1/ALMT1 is epistatic to SIZ1 in regulating root growth response to Al stress. 7Remaining Useful Life Prediction of Rolling Element Bearings Based on Different Degradation Stages and Particle Filter显示文摘A method is proposed to improve the accuracy of remaining useful life prediction for rolling element bearings,based on a state space model(SSM)with different degradation stages and a particle filter.The model is improved by a method based on the Paris formula and the Foreman formula allowing the establishment of different degradation stages.The remaining useful life of rolling element bearings can be predicted by the adjusted model with inputs of physical data and operating status information.The late operating trend is predicted by the use of the particle filter algorithm.The rolling bearing full life experimental data validate the proposed method.Further,the prediction result is compared with the single SSM and the Gamma model,and the results indicate that the predicted accuracy of the proposed method is higher with better practicability.LI Qing MA Bo LIU Jiameng 2019Transactions of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics2019,36,3:1

10High-performance Ta-doped Li_(7)La_(3)Zr_(2)O_(12) garnet oxides with AlN additive显示文摘Garnet-type oxide is one of the most promising solid-state electrolytes(SSEs)for solid-state lithium-metal batteries(SSLMBs).However,the Li dendrite formation in garnet oxides obstructs the further development of the SSLMBs seriously.Here,we report a high-performance garnet oxide by using AlN as a sintering additive and Li as an anode interface layer.AlN with high thermal conductivity can promote the sintering activity of the garnet oxides,resulting in larger particle size and higher relative density.Moreover,Li3N with high ionic conductivity formed at grain boundaries and interface can also improve Li-ion transport kinetics.As a result,the garnet oxide electrolytes with AlN show enhanced thermal conductivity,improved ionic conductivity,reduced electronic conductivity,and increased critical current density(CCD),compared with the counterpart using Al_(2)O_(3) sintering aid.In addition,Li symmetric cells and Li|LiFePO_(4)(Li|LFP)half cells using the garnet electrolyte with the AlN additive exhibit good electrochemical performances.This work provides a simple and effective strategy for high-performance SSEs.Chang ZHANG Xiangchen HU Zhiwei NIE Cong WU Nan ZHENG Shaojie CHEN Yihang YANG Ran WEI Jiameng YU Nan YANG Yi YU Wei LIU 2022Journal of Advanced Ceramics2022,11,10:1

14Endophytic Bacteria Promote the Growth of Suaeda glauca in Saline-Alkali Stress:Regulation of Osmotic Pressure and Antioxidative Defense System显示文摘Endophytic bacteria are promising bacterial fertilizers to improve plant growth under adverse environment.For ecological remediation of coastal wetlands,it was necessary to investigate the effect and interaction of endophytes on halophytes under saline-alkali stress.In this study,an endophytic bacterium strain HK1 isolated from halophytes was selected to infect Suaeda glauca under pH(7 and 8)and salinity gradient(150,300 and 450mmolL^(-1)).Strain HK1 was identified as Pantoea ananatis and it had ability to fix nitrogen,dissolve inorganic phosphorus and produce indole-3-aceticacid(IAA).The results showed that strain HK1 could promote the growth of S.glauca seedings when the salinity was less than 300mmolL^(-1),in view of longer shoot length and heavier fresh weight.The infected plants could produce more proline to decrease the permeability of cells,which content increased by 26.2%–61.1%compared to the non-infected group.Moreover,the oxidative stress of infected plants was relieved with the malondialdehyde(MDA)content decreased by 16.8%–32.9%,and the peroxidase(POD)activity and catalase(CAT)activity increased by 100%–500%and 6.2%–71.4%,respectively.Statistical analysis revealed that increasing proline content and enhancing CAT and POD activities were the main pathways to alleviate saline-alkali stress by strain HK1 infection,and the latter might be more important.This study illustrated that endophytic bacteria could promote the growth of halophytes by regulation of osmotic substances and strengthening antioxidant activities.This finding would be helpful for the bioremediation of coastal soil.FENG Kanghong SUN Ping CHEN Youyuan GUO Jiameng 2023Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,4:0
15Phytoplankton Structure and Evaluation of Water Quality in Spring in the Moats of Dinghai District,Zhoushan City显示文摘Phytoplankton structure in spring in the moats of Dinghai District,Zhoushan City was investigated in April 2016. Firstly,the species composition and dominant species of phytoplankton were analyzed,and then the water quality of the moats was evaluated by cell density,water-quality indicator species,biodiversity index method,and saprobic index method. The results show that there were 114 species of phytoplankton in the moats of Dinghai District in spring,belonging to 70 genera,38 families,and 7 phyla,of which Bacillarophyta,Chlorophyta and Cyanophyta were dominant; the main dominant species were Synedra acus,Aphanizomenon flosaquae,Microcytis flos-aquae,etc. The cell density of phytoplankton in the moats ranged from 1.07 million to 13.7 million cells/L. Shannon-Wiener diversity index,Margalef richness index,Pielou evenness index,and saprobic index averaged 0.93,2.53,0.12,and 2.61 respectively. 17Discovery of pulmonary fibrosis inhibitor targeting TGF-b RI in Polygonum cuspidatum by high resolution mass spectrometry with in silico strategy显示文摘Pulmonary fibrosis(PF)is an irreversible lung disease that is characterized by excessive scar tissue with a poor median survival rate of 2-3 years.The inhibition of transforming growth factor-β receptor type-I(TGF-β RI)by an appropriate drug may provide a promising strategy for the treatment of this disease.Polygonum cuspidatum(PC)is a well-known traditional Chinese herbal medicine which has an anti-PF effect.Accordingly,a combination of high resolution mass spectrometry with an in silico strategy was developed as a new method to search for potential chemical ingredients of PC that target the TGF-β RI.Based on this strategy,a total of 24 ingredients were identified.Then,absorption,distribution,metabolism,and excretion(ADME)-related properties were subsequently predicted to exclude compounds with potentially undesirable pharmacokinetics behaviour.Molecular docking studies on TGF-β RI were adopted to discover new PF inhibitors.Eventually,a compound that exists in PC known as resveratrol was proven to have excellent biological activity on TGF-β RI,with an IC_(50) of 2.211 μM in vitro.Furthermore,the complex formed through molecular docking was tested via molecular dynamics simulations,which revealed that resveratrol had strong interactions with residues of TGF-β RI.This study revealed that resveratrol has significant potential as a treatment for PF due to its ability to target TGF-β RI.In addition,this research demonstrated the exploration of natural products with excellent biological activities toward specific targets via high resolution mass spectrometry in combination with in silico technology is a promising strategy for the discovery of novel drugs.Huarong Xu Jiameng Qu Jian Wang Kefei Han Qing Li Wenchuan Bi Ran Liu 2022Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2022,12,6:0

20A high-speed true random number generator based on Ag/SiNx/n-Si memristor显示文摘The intrinsic variability of memristor switching behavior can be used as a natural source of randomness,this variability is valuable for safe applications in hardware,such as the true random number generator(TRNG).However,the speed of TRNG is still be further improved.Here,we propose a reliable Ag/SiNx/n-Si volatile memristor,which exhibits a typical threshold switching device with stable repeat ability and fast switching speed.This volatile-memristor-based TRNG is combined with nonlinear feedback shift register(NFSR)to form a new type of high-speed dual output TRNG.Interestingly,the bit generation rate reaches a high speed of 112 kb/s.In addition,this new TRNG passed all 15 National Institute of Standards and Technology(NIST)randomness tests without post-processing steps,proving its performance as a hardware security application.This work shows that the SiNx-based volatile memristor can realize TRNG and has great potential in hardware network security.Xiaobing Yan Zixuan Zhang Zhiyuan Guan Ziliang Fang Yinxing Zhang Jianhui Zhao Jiameng Sun Xu Han Jiangzhen Niu Lulu Wang Xiaotong Jia Yiduo Shao Zhen Zhao Zhenqiang Guo Bing Bai 2024Frontiers of physics2024,19,1:0
