1A bHLH transcription activator regulates defense signaling by nucleo-cytosolic trafficking in rice显示文摘Crosstalk between plant hormone signaling pathways is vital for controlling the immune response during pathogen invasion.Salicylic acid(SA)and jas-monic acid(JA)often play important but antagonistic roles in the immune responses of higher plants.Here,we identify a basic helix-loop-helix transcription acti-vator,OsbHLH6,which confers disease resistance in rice by regulating SA and JA signaling via nucleo-cytosolic trafficking in rice(Oryza sativa).OsbHLH6 expression was upregulated during Magnaporthe oryzae infection.Transgenic rice plants overexpressing OsbHLH6 display increased JA responsive gene expression and enhanced disease susceptibility to the pathogen.Nucleus-localized OsbHLH6 activates JA signaling and suppresses SA signaling;however,the SA regulator OsNPR1(Nonexpressor of PR genes 1)sequesters OsbHLH6 in the cytosol to alleviate its effect.Our data suggest that OsbHLH6 controls disease re-sistance by dynamically regulating SA and JA signaling.Fanwei Meng Chao Yang Jidong Cao Huan Chen Jinhuan Pang Qiqi Zhao Zongyi Wang Zheng Qing Fu Jun Liu 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,10:10
2Current Status and Future Challenges of Weather Radar Polarimetry: Bridging the Gap between Radar Meteorology/Hydrology/Engineering and Numerical Weather Prediction显示文摘After decades of research and development, the WSR-88 D(NEXRAD) network in the United States was upgraded with dual-polarization capability, providing polarimetric radar data(PRD) that have the potential to improve weather observations,quantification, forecasting, and warnings. The weather radar networks in China and other countries are also being upgraded with dual-polarization capability. Now, with radar polarimetry technology having matured, and PRD available both nationally and globally, it is important to understand the current status and future challenges and opportunities. The potential impact of PRD has been limited by their oftentimes subjective and empirical use. More importantly, the community has not begun to regularly derive from PRD the state parameters, such as water mixing ratios and number concentrations, used in numerical weather prediction(NWP) models.In this review, we summarize the current status of weather radar polarimetry, discuss the issues and limitations of PRD usage, and explore potential approaches to more efficiently use PRD for quantitative precipitation estimation and forecasting based on statistical retrieval with physical constraints where prior information is used and observation error is included. This approach aligns the observation-based retrievals favored by the radar meteorology community with the model-based analysis of the NWP community. 4Genome re-sequencing analysis uncovers pathogenecity-related genes undergoing positive selection in Magnaporthe oryzae显示文摘Rice blast caused by Magnaporthe oryzae(M.oryzae) is one of the most destructive diseases,which causes significant rice yield losses and affects global food security.To better understand genetic variations among different isolates of M.oryzae in nature,we re-sequenced the genomes of two field isolates,CH43 and Zhong-10-8-14,which showed distinct pathogenecity on most of the rice cultivars.Genome-wide genetic variation analysis reveals that ZHONG-10-8-14 exhibits higher sequence variations than CH43.Structural variations(SVs) detection shows that the sequence variations primarily occur in exons and intergenic regions.Bioinformatics analysis for gene variations reveals that many pathogenecity-related pathways are enriched.In addition,193 candidate effectors with various DNA polymorphisms were identified,including two known effectors AVR-Pik and AVR-Pital.Comparative polymorphism analysis of thirteen randomly selected effectors suggests that the genetic variations of effectors are under positive selection.The expression pattern analysis of several pathogenecity-related variant genes indicates that these genes are differentially regulated in two isolates,with much higher expression levels in Zhong-10-8-14 than CH43.Our data demonstrate that the genetic variations of effectors and pathogenecity-related genes are under positive selection,resulting in the distinct pathogenicities of CH43 and Zhong-10-8-14 on rice.Jidong Cao Yongqi Yu Junkai Huang Rui Liu Yan Chen Suiyan Li Jun Liu 2017Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,8:6

6Stochastic Dynamic Modeling of Rain Attenuation: A Survey显示文摘Satellite communication systems(SCS) operating on frequency bands above 10 GHz are sensitive to atmosphere physical phenomena, especially rain attenuation. To evaluate impairments in satellite performance, stochastic dynamic modeling(SDM) is considered as an effective way to predict real-time satellite channel fading caused by rain. This article carries out a survey of SDM using stochastic differential equations(SDEs) currently in the literature. Special attention is given to the different input characteristics of each model to satisfy specific local conditions. 8The Consumption-Stimulating Effect of Public Rental Housing in China显示文摘China's public rental policy creates opportunities for poor households to rent apartments at low rental prices.In addition to such an impact,we argue that public rental housing increases the purchasing power of the poor and therefore enhances the income elasticity of consumption,i.e.,the percentage of consumption increment due to a 1 percent increase in income.Based on a nationwide dataset from China,the Chinese Household Income Project 2018,we find that public rental housing significantly increases the marginal impact of household disposable income on consumption.Specifically,our analysis suggests that public rental apartments could increase the income elasticity of consumption demand by 18 percent among all rental households and by 24 percent among rental households with below-average income.We also find that the effect of public rental housing on income elasticity of consumption is stronger for service consumption than for nonservice consumption.These results suggest that a well designed public rental policy could not only promote consumption in favor of the service industry but also alleviate the undesirable consequences of the unbalanced consumption structure caused by income inequality.Xiaokuai Shao Yujin Cao Yangchuan Teng Jidong Chen Liutang Gong 2022China & World Economy2022,30,1:0
9优化经直肠前列腺重复穿刺(英文)显示文摘Objective: Diagnosis of patients with negative prostate biopsy and persistent suspicion of prostate cancer remains a serious problem. In this study, we investigated the application of optimizing prostate biopsy for patients who need repeat prostate biopsy. Methods: In this prospective, non-randomized phase-I clinical trial, the prostate cancer detection rate of initial detection scheme was compared with optimizing prostate biopsy scheme. The number of punctures of initial detection scheme was the same as that of optimizing prostate biopsy scheme. The puncture direction of optimizing prostate biopsy was a 45° angle to the sagittal plane from front, middle, and back. The two cores from each lateral lobe were horizontally inwardly inclined 45°. Results: A total of 45 patients with initial negative biopsy for cancer were received the optimizing prostate biopsy scheme. The cancer detection rate was 17.8%(8/45), and prostate intraepithelial neoplasm(PIN) was 6.7%(3/45). The patients receiving repeat transrectal prostate biopsies were pathologically diagnosed as lower Gleason grade prostate cancers. Conclusion: The cancer detection rate of repeat biopsy prostate cancer is lower than that of initial biopsy.
