| 3 | Gas Film Disturbance Characteristics Analysis of High-Speed and High-Pressure Dry Gas Seal显示文摘The dry gas seal(DGS) has been widely used in high parameters centrifugal compressor, but the intense vibrations of shafting,especially in high-speed condition, usually result in DGS's failure. So the DGS's ability of resisting outside interference has become a determining factor of the further development of centrifugal compressor. However, the systematic researches of which about gas film disturbance characteristics of high parameters DGS are very little. In order to study gas film disturbance characteristics of high-speed and high-pressure spiral groove dry gas seal(S-DGS) with a flexibly mounted stator, rotor axial runout and misalignment are taken into consideration, and the finite difference method and analytical method are used to analyze the influence of gas film thickness disturbance on sealing performance parameters, what's more, the effects of many key factors on gas film thickness disturbance are systematically investigated. The results show that, when sealed pressure is 10.1MPa and seal face average linear velocity is 107.3 m/s, gas film thickness disturbance has a significant effect on leakage rate, but has relatively litter effect on open force; Excessively large excitation amplitude or excessively high excitation frequency can lead to severe gas film thickness disturbance; And it is beneficial to assure a smaller gas film thickness disturbance when the stator material density is between 3.1 g/cm^3 to 8.4 g/cm^3; Ensuring sealing performance while minimizing support axial stiffness and support axial damping can help to improve dynamic tracking property of dry gas seal. | 4 | PKM2 coordinates glycolysis with mitochondrial fusion and oxidative phosphorylation显示文摘A change in the metabolic flux of glucose from mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) to aerobic glycolysis is regarded as one hallmark of cancer. However, the mechanisms underlying the metabolic switch between aerobic glycolysis and OXPHOS are unclear. Here we show that the M2 isoform of pyruvate kinase (PKM2), one of the rate-limiting enzymes in glycolysis, interacts with mitofusin 2 (MFN2), a key regulator of mitochondrial fusion, to promote mitochondrial fusion and OXPHOS, and attenuate glycolysis. mTOR increases the PKM2:MFN2 interaction by phosphorylating MFN2 and thereby modulates the effect of PKM2: MFN2 on glycolysis, mitochondrial fusion and OXPHOS. | 6 | A preliminary study of the failure mechanisms of cascading landslide dams显示文摘Landslide dams commonly form when mass earth or rock movements reach a river channel and cause a complete or partial blockage of the channel.Intense rainfalls can induce upstream flows along a sloping channel that significantly affect downstream landslide dams.If a series of landslide dams are collapsed by incoming mountain torrents(induced by intense rainfall),large debris flows can form in a very short period.Furthermore,the failure of these dams can amplify the magnitude and scale of debris flows in the flow direction.The catastrophic debris flows that occurred in Zhouqu County,China on 8 August 2010 were caused by intense rainfall and the upstream cascading failure of landslide dams along the gullies.Incorporating the role of outburst floods associated with the complete or partial failure of landslide dams is an interesting problem usually beyond the scope of analysis because of the inherent modeling complexity.To understand the cascading failure modes of a series of landslide dams,and the dynamic effect these failures have on the enlargement of debris flow scales,experimental tests are conducted in sloping channels mimicking field conditions,with the modeled landslide dams distributed along a sloping channel and crushed by different upstream flows.The failure modes of three different cascades of landslide dams fully or partially blocking a channel river are parametrically studied.This study illustrates that upstream flows can induce a cascading failure of the landslide dams along a channel.Overtopping is the primary failure mechanism,while piping and erosion can also induce failures for different constructed landslide dams.A cascading failure of landslide dams causes a gradually increasing flow velocity and discharge of the front flow,resulting in an increase in both diameter and percentage of the entrained coarse particles.Furthermore,large landslide blockages can act to enhance the efficiency of river incision,or conversely to induce aggradation of fluvial sediments,depending on the blockage factor of the landslide dams and upstream discharge. | Gordon G.D Peng Cui Xinghua Zhu Jinbo Tang Huayong Chen Qicheng Sun | 2015 | International Journal of Sediment Research2015,30,3: | 8 |
| 7 | A genome-wide analysis of SWEET gene family in cotton and their expressions under different stresses显示文摘Background: The SWEET(Sugars will eventually be exported transporters) gene family plays multiple roles in plant physiological activities and development process. It participates in reproductive development and in the process of sugar transport and absorption, plant senescence and stress responses and plant-pathogen interaction. However,thecomprehensive analysis of SWEET genes has not been reported in cotton.Results: In this study, we identified 22, 31, 55 and 60 SWEET genes from the sequenced genomes of Gossypium arboreum, G. raimondii, G. hirsutum and G. barbadense, respectively. Phylogenetic tree analysis showed that the SWEET genes could be divided into four groups, which were further classified into 14 sub-clades. Further analysis of chromosomal location, synteny analysis and gene duplication suggested that the orthologs showed a good collinearity and segmental duplication events played a crucial role in the expansion of the family in cotton. Specific MtN3_slv domains were highly conserved between Arobidopsis and cotton by exon-intron organization and motif analysis. In addition, the expression pattern in different tissues indicated that the duplicated genes in cotton might have acquired new functions as a result of sub-functionalization or neo-funtionalization. The expression pattern of SWEET genes showed that the different genes were induced by diverse stresses. The identification and functional analysis of SWEET genes in cotton may provide more candidate genes for genetic modification.Conclusion: SWEET genes were classified into four clades in cotton. The expression patterns suggested that the duplicated genes might have experienced a functional divergence. | 10 | The Seasonal Variation of Large Volume Airgun Signals in Hutubi,Xinjiang显示文摘In order to study the seasonal variation of large volume airgun signals in Hutubi,Xinjiang,we analyzed 2,936 signals of airgun source excitations during 2015-2016 received by a seismograph on the bank of the excitation pool.Firstly,the RMS value of the signal amplitude and the daily average temperature were compared after linearly superimposing the signal in days,to analyze the influence of the surface ice cover on the excitation energy release of the airgun source.The result shows that the ice cover will reduce the excitation energy,and the thicker the ice cover is,the more obvious the excitation energy reduces.Secondly,the time-frequency analysis method was used to analyze the influence of the surface ice cover on the signal frequency.It is concluded that the existence of the ice cover has little effect on the signal frequency,but it will affect the intensity of the signal around 4 Hz between 1-2 s after excitation.The cause of these phenomena is that the ice cover affects the bubble oscillation,which in turn affects the energy conversion.The study shows that when using the cross-correlation delay method to calculate the wave velocity,the signals can be divided into two periods according to the daily average temperature:with or without ice cover on the upper surface of the excitation pool.This can help eliminate the influence of the source variation and improve the accuracy of the monitoring results. | SU Jinbo WANG Qiong ZHANG Wenxiu WEI Yunyun CHEN Hao WANG Haitao | 2019 | Earthquake Research in China2019,33,2: | 5 |
