| 1 | Multicenter study of the clinicopathological features and recurrence risk prediction model of early-stage breast cancer with low-positive human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 expression in China (Chinese Society of Breast Surgery 021)显示文摘Background:Breast cancer with low-positive human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)expression has triggered further refinement of evaluation criteria for HER2 expression.We studied the clinicopathological features of early-stage breast cancer with low-positive HER2 expression in China and analyzed prognostic factors.Methods:Clinical and pathological data and prognostic information of patients with early-stage breast cancer with low-positive HER2 expression treated by the member units of the Chinese Society of Breast Surgery and Chinese Society of Surgery of Chinese Medical Association,from January 2015 to December 2016 were collected.The prognostic factors of these patients were analyzed.Results:Twenty-nine hospitals provided valid cases.From 2015 to 2016,a total of 25,096 cases of early-stage breast cancer were treated,7642(30.5%)of which had low-positive HER2 expression and were included in the study.After ineligible cases were excluded,6486 patients were included in the study.The median follow-up time was 57 months(4-76 months).The disease-free survival rate was 92.1%at 5 years,and the overall survival rate was 97.4%at 5 years.At the follow-up,506(7.8%)cases of metastasis and 167(2.6%)deaths were noted.Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that tumor stage,lymphvascular invasion,and the Ki67 index were related to recurrence and metastasis(P<0.05).The recurrence risk prediction model was established using a machine learning model and showed that the area under the receiving operator characteristic curve was 0.815(95%confidence interval:0.750-0.880).Conclusions:Early-stage breast cancer patients with low-positive HER2 expression account for 30.5%of all patients.Tumor stage,lymphvascular invasion,and the Ki67 index are factors affecting prognosis.The recurrence prediction model for breast cancer with low-positive HER2 expression based on a machine learning model had a good clinical reference value for predicting the recurrence risk at 5 years.Trial registration:ChiCTR.org.cn,ChiCTR2100046766. | Ling Xin Qian Wu Chongming Zhan Hongyan Qin Hongyu Xiang Ling Xu Jingming Ye Xuening Duan Yinhua Liu Chinese Society of Breast Surgery(CSBrS) Chinese Society of Surgery of Chinese Medical Association | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,,6: | 9 |
| 2 | A retrospective prognostic evaluation analysis using the 8th edition of American Joint Committee on Cancer(AJCC)cancer staging system for luminal A breast cancer显示文摘Objective: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical prognostic value of the 8th edition of the American Joint Committee on Cancer(AJCC) staging system for luminal A breast cancer.Methods: Using both the anatomic and prognostic staging in the 8th edition of AJCC cancer staging system, we restaged patients with luminal A breast cancer treated at the Breast Disease Center, Peking University First Hospital from 2008 to 2014. Follow-up data including 5-year disease free survival(DFS), overall survival(OS) and other clinic-pathological data were collected to analyze the differences between the two staging subgroups.Results: This study included 421 patients with luminal A breast cancer(median follow-up, 61 months). The 5-year DFS and OS rates were 98.3% and 99.3%, respectively. Significant differences in 5-year DFS but not OS were observed between different anatomic disease stages. Significant differences were observed in both 5-year DFS and OS between different prognostic stages. Application of the prognostic staging system resulted in assignment of 175 of 421 patients(41.6%) to a different group compared to their original anatomic stages. In total, 102 of 103 patients with anatomic stage IIA changed to prognostic stage IB, and 24 of 52 patients with anatomic stage IIB changed to prognostic stage IB, while 1 changed to prognostic stage IIIB. Twenty-two of 33 patients with anatomic stage IIIA were down-staged to IIA when staged by prognostic staging system, and the other 11 patients were down-staged to IIB. Two patients with anatomic stage IIIB were down-staged to IIIA. Among seven patients with anatomic stage IIIC cancer, two were down-staged to IIIA and four were down-staged to stage IIIB.Conclusions: The 8th edition of AJCC prognostic staging system is an important supplement to the breast cancer staging system. | 5 | Modulating morphology via side-chain engineering of fused ring electron acceptors for high performance organic solar cells显示文摘In this work, four fused ring electron acceptors(FREAs), 2F-C5, 2F-C6, 2F-C8 and 2F-C10, are developed to investigate the effect of side-chain size on the molecular properties and photovoltaic performance of FREA systematically. The elongation of side-chains in the FREAs not only improves their solubility in the processing solvent, but also enhances their miscibility with the donor PBDB-T. It helps the FREA diffuse into the donor PBDB-T during film-formation, thus leading to the decrease in domain size and domain purity from PBDB-T:2F-C5 to PBDB-T:2F-C10 blend films in sequence. The smaller domain size affords more D/A interfaces to benefit exciton dissociation and inhibit monomolecular recombination. However, severe bimolecular recombination occurs when the domain purity decreases to a critical point. Due to the dual function of the increment of side-chain length, both short-circuit current density(J_(SC)) and fill factor(FF) of devices exhibit an evolution of first increasing then decreasing from 2F-C5, 2F-C6, 2F-C8 to 2F-C10 based OSCs. | 6 | Chlorinated polymerized small molecule acceptor enabling ternary all-polymer solar cells with over 16.6% efficiency显示文摘Recently,all-polymer solar cells(all-PSCs) based on polymerized small molecule acceptors(PSMAs) have achieved significant progress.Ternary blending has proven to be an effective strategy to further boost the power conversion efficiency(PCE) of the all-PSCs.Herein,a new A-DA′D-A small-molecule acceptor-based PSMA(named as PYCl-T) was designed and synthesized,which possesses similar polymer backbone with the widely used PY-IT,but with chlorine substitution on the A-end groups in the A-DA′D-A structure.PYCl-T was then employed as the third component into the PM6:PY-IT system and the ternary all-PSCs based on PM6:PY-IT:PYCl-T demonstrated a high PCE of 16.62%(certified value of 16.3%).Moreover,the PCE of 15.52% was realized in the enlarged ternary all-PSCs with effective area of 1 cm^(2),indicating the great potential in large-scale applications.Moreover,the optimized ternary blend films of PM6:PY-IT:PYCl-T show excellent thermal stability at 150 ℃.This work demonstrates that the utilization of a ternary blend system involving two well-compatible PSMA polymer acceptors is an effective strategy to boost the performance of the all-PSCs. | Ke Hu Jiaqi Du Can Zhu Wenbin Lai Jing Li Jingming Xin Wei Ma Zhanjun Zhang Jinyuan Zhang Lei Meng Yongfang Li | 2022 | Science China Chemistry2022,65,5: | 1 |
| 7 | Clinical and pathological portraits of axillary presentation breast cancer and effects of preoperative systemic therapy显示文摘There is a lack of investigation into the biological characteristics and preoperative systemic therapy(PST)for occult breast cancer(OBC).For this study,departmental records in Breast Disease Center of Peking University First Hospital from January 2008 to December 2015 were retrospectively reviewed to identify cases of OBC.Eleven cases were included,and all patients were female,with a median age of 56(range:29–75)years.The sensitivity of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)was 100%,and the false positive rate was 33.3%.Based on histologic analysis of the axillary node,9(81.8%)cases were grade 3,and 2(18.2%)cases were grade 2;4(36.4%)cases were≥10%estrogen receptor(ER)positive and 6(54.5%)human epidermal growth receptor 2(HER2)positive.Nine cases(81.8%)exhibited over 30%Ki67 expression.PST was performed in 5 of the 11 cases.The lymph node response rate was 100%(5/5),but no complete remission was achieved.In conclusion,aggressive subtypes were predominant among the included cases,and PST should be considered for OBC treatment options. | Ling Xu Fang Li Yinhua Liu Xuening Duan Jingming Ye Yuanjia Cheng Ling Xin | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,4: | 1 |
| 8 | Enhanced intermolecular interactions to improve twisted polymer photovoltaic performance显示文摘In polymer solar cells(PSCs), twisted polymer donors usually have low photovoltaic efficiencies due to their poor photoactive layer morphologies. Herein, we successfully improved twisted polymer(PBDT-3T) photovoltaic efficiency by employing C=O groups(PBDT-3TCO) to enhance intermolecular interactions. The maximum power conversion efficiency(PCE) of PBDT-3T is only 1.05%, while the PCE of PBDT-3TCO reaches 11.77% in non-fullerene(NF) PSCs. Both polymers-based PSCs show very similar open-circuit voltages but remarkable differences in their short-circuit currents and fill factors. The single crystals of both functionalized terthiophenes with methyl substituents demonstrate that the terthiophene with C=O units changes molecular pattern by forming intra/inter molecular S???O and O???H interactions but its molecular planarity does not significantly improve.Our comparative studies show that PBDT-3TCO with C=O units possesses a strong aggregation property and optimal photoactive layer morphology in NF PSCs. | 10 | A multicenter study on efficacy of dual-target neoadjuvant therapy for HER2-positive breast cancer and a consistent analysis of efficacy evaluation of neoadjuvant therapy by Miller-Payne and RCB pathological evaluation systems(CSBrS-026)显示文摘Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the factors influencing pathological complete response(pCR)rate in early breast cancer patients receiving neoadjuvant dual-target [trastuzumab(H) + pertuzumab(P)] therapy combined with chemotherapy. Additionally, the consistency of the Miller-Payne and residual cancer burden(RCB)systems in evaluating the efficacy of neoadjuvant therapy for early human epidermal growth factor receptor-2(HER2)+ breast cancer was analyzed.Methods: The clinicopathological data of female patients with early-stage HER2+ breast cancer who received dual-target neoadjuvant therapy at 26 hospitals of the Chinese Society of Breast Surgery(CSBrS) from March 2019 to December 2021 were collected. Patients were allocated to four groups: the HER2 immunohistochemistry(IHC)3+/hormone receptor(HR)-, IHC3+/HR+, IHC2+ in situ hybridization(ISH)+/HR-and IHC2+ ISH+/HR+groups. The overall pCR rate for patients, the pCR rate in each group and the factors affecting the pCR rate were analyzed. The consistency between the Miller-Payne and RCB systems in assessing the efficacy of neoadjuvant therapy was analyzed.Results: From March 1, 2019, to December 31, 2021, 77,376 female patients with early-stage breast cancer were treated at 26 hospitals;18,853(24.4%) of these patients were HER2+. After exclusion of unqualified patients, 2,395 patients who received neoadjuvant dual-target(H+P) therapy combined with chemotherapy were included in this study. The overall pCR rate was 53.0%, and the patients' HR statuses and different HER2+ statuses were significantly correlated with the pCR rate(P<0.05). The consistency of the pathological efficacy assessed by the Miller-Payne and RCB systems was 88.0%(κ=0.717, P<0.001).Conclusions: Different HER2 expression statuses and HR expression statuses are correlated with the pCR rate after dual-target neoadjuvant therapy in HER2+ breast cancer patients.
