1Multicenter study of the clinicopathological features and recurrence risk prediction model of early-stage breast cancer with low-positive human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 expression in China (Chinese Society of Breast Surgery 021)显示文摘Background:Breast cancer with low-positive human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)expression has triggered further refinement of evaluation criteria for HER2 expression.We studied the clinicopathological features of early-stage breast cancer with low-positive HER2 expression in China and analyzed prognostic factors.Methods:Clinical and pathological data and prognostic information of patients with early-stage breast cancer with low-positive HER2 expression treated by the member units of the Chinese Society of Breast Surgery and Chinese Society of Surgery of Chinese Medical Association,from January 2015 to December 2016 were collected.The prognostic factors of these patients were analyzed.Results:Twenty-nine hospitals provided valid cases.From 2015 to 2016,a total of 25,096 cases of early-stage breast cancer were treated,7642(30.5%)of which had low-positive HER2 expression and were included in the study.After ineligible cases were excluded,6486 patients were included in the study.The median follow-up time was 57 months(4-76 months).The disease-free survival rate was 92.1%at 5 years,and the overall survival rate was 97.4%at 5 years.At the follow-up,506(7.8%)cases of metastasis and 167(2.6%)deaths were noted.Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that tumor stage,lymphvascular invasion,and the Ki67 index were related to recurrence and metastasis(P<0.05).The recurrence risk prediction model was established using a machine learning model and showed that the area under the receiving operator characteristic curve was 0.815(95%confidence interval:0.750-0.880).Conclusions:Early-stage breast cancer patients with low-positive HER2 expression account for 30.5%of all patients.Tumor stage,lymphvascular invasion,and the Ki67 index are factors affecting prognosis.The recurrence prediction model for breast cancer with low-positive HER2 expression based on a machine learning model had a good clinical reference value for predicting the recurrence risk at 5 years.Trial registration:ChiCTR.org.cn,ChiCTR2100046766.Ling Xin Qian Wu Chongming Zhan Hongyan Qin Hongyu Xiang Ling Xu Jingming Ye Xuening Duan Yinhua Liu Chinese Society of Breast Surgery(CSBrS) Chinese Society of Surgery of Chinese Medical Association 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,6:9
2Altered Local Field Potential Relationship Between the Parafascicular Thalamic Nucleus and Dorsal Striatum in Hemiparkinsonian Rats显示文摘The thalamostriatal pathway is implicated in Parkinson's disease(PD); however, PD-related changes in the relationship between oscillatory activity in the centromedian-parafascicular complex(CM/Pf, or the Pf in rodents) and the dorsal striatum(DS) remain unclear.Therefore, we simultaneously recorded local field potentials(LFPs) in both the Pf and DS of hemiparkinsonian and control rats during epochs of rest or treadmill walking. The dopamine-lesioned rats showed increased LFP power in the beta band(12 Hz–35 Hz) in the Pf and DS during both epochs, but decreased LFP power in the delta(0.5 Hz–3 Hz) band in the Pf during rest epochs and in the DS during both epochs, compared to control rats. In addition,exaggerated low gamma(35 Hz–70 Hz) oscillations after dopamine loss were restricted to the Pf regardless of the behavioral state. Furthermore, enhanced synchronization of LFP oscillations was found between the Pf and DS after the dopamine lesion. Significant increases occurred in the mean coherence in both theta(3 Hz–7 Hz) and beta bands,and a significant increase was also noted in the phase coherence in the beta band between the Pf and DS during rest epochs. During the treadmill walking epochs, significant increases were found in both the alpha(7 Hz–12 Hz)and beta bands for two coherence measures. 4A new method of micro-motion parameters estimation based on cyclic autocorrelation function显示文摘Signals with sinusoidal frequency modulation(FM)are the general form of micro-Doppler signals in radar echoes from targets with micro-motions.This paper derives the cyclic autocorrelation function of a sinusoidal FM signal using its cyclostationary characteristics,and estimates the parameters of amplitude,modulation index,micro-motion period and noise power based on cyclic autocorrelation function.The estimation method is robust in noise environment when compared with conventional time-frequency analysis methods.Finally,the performances of estimation by utilizing the simulation data and darkroom measurement are shown in tables.The Monte-Carlo simulation results show that the estimator is asymptotically optimal at SNR above6 dB.NIU Jie LI KangLe JIANG WeiDong LI Xiang KUANG GangYao ZHU HongYu 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,10:4

6A single mutation in the PBC loop of VP2 is involved in the in vitro replication of infectious bursal disease virus显示文摘To test whether amino acid mutations in the PBC and PHI loops of VP2 are involved in the replication and virulence of infectious bursal disease virus(IBDV), a pair of viruses, namely the moderately virulent IBDV(rG x-F9VP2) and the attenuated strain(rGt), were used. Residue mutations A222P(P_(BC)) and S330R(PHI), selected by sequence comparison, were introduced individually into r Gx-F9VP2 by using a reverse genetics system. In addition, the reverse mutation of either P222 A or R330 S was introduced into r Gt. The four modified viruses were then rescued and evaluated in vitro(CEF cells) and in vivo(SPF chickens). Results showed that A222 P elevated the replication efficiency of rG x-F9VP2 while P222 A reduced that of rG t in CEF cells. A mutation at residue 330 did not alter IBDV replication. In addition, animal experiments showed that a single mutation at either residue 222 or 330 did not significantly influence the virulence of IBDV. 7Delivery of pOXR1 through an injectable liposomal nanoparticle enhances spinal cord injury regeneration by alleviating oxidative stress显示文摘Oxidation resistance 1(OXR1)is regarded as a critical regulator of cellular homeostasis in response to oxidative stress.However,the role of OXR1 in the neuronal response to spinal cord injury(SCI)remains undefined.On the other hand,gene therapy for SCI has shown limited success to date due in part to the poor utility of conventional gene vectors.In this study,we evaluated the function of OXR1 in SCI and developed an available carrier for delivering the OXR1 plasmid(pOXR1).We found that OXR1 expression is remarkably increased after SCI and that this regulation is protective after SCI.Meanwhile,we assembled cationic nanoparticles with vitamin E succinate-graftedε-polylysine(VES-g-PLL)(Nps).The pOXR1 was precompressed with Nps and then encapsulated into cationic liposomes.The particle size of pOXR1 was compressed to 58 nm,which suggests that pOXR1 can be encapsulated inside liposomes with high encapsulation efficiency and stability to enhance the transfection efficiency.The agarose gel results indicated that Nps-pOXR1-Lip eliminated the degradation of DNA by DNase I and maintained its activity,and the cytotoxicity results indicated that pOXR1 was successfully transported into cells and exhibited lower cytotoxicity.Finally,Nps-pOXR1-Lip promoted functional recovery by alleviating neuronal apoptosis,attenuating oxidative stress and inhibiting inflammation.Therefore,our study provides considerable evidence that OXR1 is a beneficial factor in resistance to SCI and that Nps-Lip-pOXR1 exerts therapeutic effects in acute traumatic SCI.Jing Zhang Yao Li Jun Xiong Helin Xu Guanghen Xiang Mingqiao Fan Kailiang Zhou Yutian Lin Xiangxiang Chen Lin Xie Hongyu Zhang Jian Wang Jian Xiao 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,10:2
8The intervention effects of Lactobacillus casei LC2W on Escherichia coli O157:H7-induced mouse colitis显示文摘This study investigated the intervention effects of Lactobacillus casei LC2W in murine(SPF C57BL/c)challenge infection models induced by Escherichia coli O157:H7.Mice were fed streptomycin with water for 3 days prior to intragastric gavage by E.coli O157:H7(Control)or L.casei LC2W together with E.coli O157:H7(Intervention)to explore the role of L.casei LC2W by biochemical indicators,histological evaluation,expression of colonic pro-inflammatory and intestinal barrier factors related to enteritis.Results showed that the administration of L.casei LC2W was able to alleviate the symptoms of colitis induced by E.coli O157:H7,exhibiting lower weight loss as well as more intact colon tissue.Furthermore,L.casei LC2W could down-regulate the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines(TNF-α,IL-6,and IL-1β)and protect the intestinal barrier function by improving the level of MUC2,ZO-1 and E-cadherin 1 compared to the control group.These results demonstrate that L.casei LC2W can reduce the severity of E.coli O157:H7 infection,and suggest L.casei LC2W may maintain the immune balance and intestinal barrier to reduce colitis.In addition,we found the effect of intervention is similar to that of prevention,which is better than that of treatment.Guangqiang Wang Hongyu Tang Ying Zhang Xiang Xiao Yongjun Xia Lianzhong Ai 2020Food Science and Human Wellness2020,9,3:2
9Effect of Coated PHB on Properties of Abradable Seal Coating显示文摘As pore-forming materials, the coated poly-p-hydroxybenzoate(short for PHB) and h-BN can be applied in the preparation of abradable seal coatings at high temperature. The characteristics of coating such as morphology, thermal stability and composition were studied by SEM, EDS and FTIR. The results show that the modifi ed PHB will change the remained carbon amount, porosity and pore morphology of the coating, which can affect the properties of coatings. 12Clinicopathological analysis of early-stage breast cancer patients that meet indications for BRCA 1/2 genetic testing显示文摘Objective:To investigate the clinicopathological characteristics and prognostic factors of early-stage breast cancer patients with indications for breast cancer susceptibility genes 1/2(BRCA1/2)genetic testing in China.Methods:Based on the indication criteria for BRCA genetic testing specified in the National Comprehensive Cancer Network(NCCN)clinical practice guidelines in oncology,genetic/familial high-risk assessment:Breast and ovarian(Version 2.2019),a retrospective analysis was performed on patients with early-stage invasive breast cancer treated at Breast Disease Center,Peking University First Hospital between January 2008 and December 2016.Clinicopathological characteristics of all patients were analyzed,and prognoses were calculated using the KaplanMeier method and a Cox proportionate hazards model.Results:A total of 906 early-stage breast cancer patients who had indications for BRCA genetic testing and had complete clinicopathological data and follow-up information were included in the study group,accounting for34.7%of all breast cancer patients treated in Breast Disease Center,Peking University First Hospital during the study period.Compared with breast cancer patients without indications for BRCA genetic testing,the overall survival(OS)and disease-free survival(DFS)of patients with indications were not significantly different.In the study group,patients with premenopausal status,high T stage,lymph node positive,estrogen receptor(ER)negative,Ki-67>20%and presence of a vascular tumor thrombus had worse prognosis.There were more family histories of gastrointestinal cancer in patients with related indications than in patients without such indications.Conclusions:Single-center data showed that more than 30%of patients with early-stage breast cancer had indications for BRCA genetic testing.There was no prognostic difference in patients with or without indications for BRCA genetic testing.Premenopausal status,high T stage,lymph node positive,ER negative,Ki-67>20%,and presence of a vascular tumor thrombus were associated with poor prognosis.Hongyu Xiang Ling X in Qian Liu Hong Zhang Shuang Zhang Jingming Ye Yuanjia Cheng Ting Li Yinhua Liu Ling Xu 2020Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,2:1
13Formation mechanism of high-quality reservoirs of Lower Cretaceous volcaniclastic sedimentary rocks in Songliao Basin显示文摘High abundance gas reservoirs were discovered in the volcaniclastic sedimentary rocks of Wangfu faulted depression in Songliao Basin,but the distribution pattern and formation mechanism of this type of high-quality reservoirs were not clear.In the Shahezi Formation of Well Block CS6 in Wangfu faulted depression,the void space type,reservoir property,pore throat and pore diameters were studied by means of the casting thin section,helium intrusion porosimetry,mercury intrusion porosimetry(MIP)and nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)methods,moreover,formation mechanism and main controlling factors of the high-quality reservoirs were discussed.Results showed that lithology of high-quality reservoirs consisted of the volcaniclastic sedimentary agglomerate and the volcaniclastic sedimentary breccia,and exhibited the coarsening-upward characteristics.Furthermore,three types(seven subtypes)of void spaces were identified,among which the intragranular vesicles with primary abundant pores were uniquely developed in the high-quality reservoirs of volcaniclastic sedimentary rocks,indicating this high-quality reservoir belonged to the large-pore and small-throat reservoir;porosity and permeability of volcaniclastic sedimentary agglomerate were slightly higher than those of volcaniclastic sedimentary breccia,and both were significantly higher than those of sedimentary rock in the Shahezi Formation,the porosity was closely related with the burial depth.Formation mechanisms of reservoirs in the volcaniclastic sedimentary rocks were release of volatile matters in parent rocks,grain support,dissolution and tectonic modification,among which the former two were the main controlling factors.The high-quality reservoirs over the study area were mainly distributed in the central part of the fan of volcaniclastic sedimentary rocks,among which the grain-supported,coarse-grained volcaniclastic sedimentary rocks with high content of intragranular vesicular detritus and burial depth less than 3000 m were the most favorable area for development of the high-quality reservoirs.Huafeng Tang Tan Kong Xiang Liu Di Yang Hongyu Huo Yulong Huang 2017Petroleum Research2017,2,2:1

17Turning weak into strong: on the CTAB-induced active surface growth显示文摘Discovering new methods and principles in the inequivalent growth of equivalent facets is of great significance for going beyond symmetrical nanocrystals and for out-of-box exploration. In this work, we demonstrate that a middle ground exists between the traditional weak ligands and the strong ligands with unusual growth modes. By modifying the seed concentration during the growth of pentagonal Au nanorods, the typical weak ligand cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB) is made strong, leading to notches of restricted growth and even the active surface growth mode. In-depth investigation in the link between growth kinetics and ligand packing reveals the principle of their interplay —— that the on-off dynamics of the ligands only allows for a certain limit of materials deposition rate. Beyond this limit, the growth materials build up and are then diverted elsewhere, leading to inequivalent growth. The fact that a freshly grown surface has few ligands promotes the active surface growth, focusing the growth materials onto a few sites. 18Light-induced magnetic phase transition in van der Waals antiferromagnets显示文摘Control over magnetic properties by optical stimulation is not only interesting from the physics point of view,but also important for practical applications such as magneto-optical devices.Here,based on a simple tight-binding(TB)model,we propose a general theory of light-induced magnetic phase transition(MPT)in antiferromagnets.Considering the fact that the bandgap of the antiferromagnetic(AFM)phase is usually larger than that of the ferromagnetic(FM)one for a given system,we suggest that light-induced electronic excitation prefers to stabilize the FM state over the AFM one,and will induce an MPT from AFM phase to FM phase once a critical photocarrier concentration(αc)is reached.This theory has been confirmed by performing firstprinciples calculations on a series of 2D van der Waals(vd W)antiferromagnets.Interestingly,a linear relationship betweenαc and the intrinsic material parameters is obtained,in agreement with our TB model analysis.Our general theory paves a new way to manipulate 2D magnetism with high speed and superior resolution.Jiabin Chen Yang Li Hongyu Yu Yali Yang Heng Jin Bing Huang Hongjun Xiang 2023Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,7:0
19An endoplasmic reticulum-targeted organic photothermal agent for enhanced cancer therapy显示文摘Developing selectively targeted photothermal agents to reduce side effects in photothermal therapy remains a great challenge. Inspired by the key role of endoplasmic reticulum in the protein synthesis and intracellular signal transduction, particularly for the immunogenic cell death induced by endoplasmic reticulum stress, we developed an endoplasmic reticulum-targeted organic photothermal agent(Ts-PTRGD) for enhancing photothermal therapy of tumor. The photothermal agent was covalently attached with 4-methylbenzenesulfonamide and cyclic Arg-Gly-Asp(c RGD) peptide for realizing the targeting of endoplasmic reticulum and tumor cell. Owing to its amphiphilic properties, it readily self-assembles in water to form nanoparticles. The photothermal agent possesses excellent photophysical properties and biological compatibility.
