| 9 | Robotic-assisted cholecystectomy: Current status and future application显示文摘Robotic-assisted cholecystectomy(RC)is increasingly common.However,its exact role remains unde-fined,with multiport conventional laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC)being regarded as the established gold standard.This review aims to provide an overview of the evidence for RC and to define its current and future role.A literature search was performed on the PubMed and Medline databases to identify relevant articles published between 1994 and February 2022.The evidence obtained was summarised in a narrative style.Greater emphasis was placed on recent 10-year articles and studies of higher meth-odological quality.RC is noninferior to LC.The robotic platform facilitates the application of minimally invasive surgery in a way conventional laparoscopy cannot.LC remains appropriate for the majority of patients requiring cholecystectomy.The advantages of RC include inherent technical benefits,facilitating the learning of new surgical technology and its potential to reduce the risk of open conversion and bile leakage in certain populations(Mirizzi syndrome,complicated calculous disease,chronic liver disease and possibly malignancy).It also has increasing applicability to related biliary surgery.The limitations include cost,loss of tactile feedback and the learning curve associated with initial implementation.Future applications of robotic surgical systems include utilisation in difficult cholecystectomy,cases of biliary malignancy,telerobotic surgery and telementoring. | Simran Chandhok Phillip Chao Jonathan Koea Sanket Srinivasa | 2022 | Laparoscopic, Endoscopic and Robotic Surgery2022,5,3: | 1 |

| 18 | Silicon-integrated nonlinear Ⅲ-Ⅴ photonics显示文摘Mainstream silicon photonic integrated circuits are based on compact and low-loss silicon-on-insulator(SOI)waveguide platforms. However, monolithic SOI-based photonics provides only a limited number of functional device types. Here, to extend the on-chip capabilities, we propose a general heterogeneous integration approach to embed highly nonlinear Ⅲ-Ⅴ(Al Ga As) photonics into the SOI platform. We develop low-loss AlGaAs-on-SOI photonic circuits with integrated Si waveguides and showcase sub-milliwatt-threshold(-25 mW) Kerr frequency comb generation in ultrahigh-QAlGaAs microrings(Q over 10^(6)) at the telecom bands. | 19 | Machine learning accelerated carbon neutrality research using big data-from predictive models to interatomic potentials显示文摘Carbon neutrality has been proposed as a solution for the current severe energy and climate crisis caused by the overuse of fossil fuels, and machine learning(ML) has exhibited excellent performance in accelerating related research owing to its powerful capacity for big data processing. This review presents a detailed overview of ML accelerated carbon neutrality research with a focus on energy management, screening of novel energy materials, and ML interatomic potentials(MLIPs), with illustrations of two selected MLIP algorithms: moment tensor potential(MTP) and neural equivariant interatomic potential(NequIP).
