1Diversity of methanotrophs in Zoige wetland soils under both anaerobic and aerobic conditions显示文摘Zoige wetland is one of the most important methane emission centers in China. The oxidation of methane in the wetland affects global warming, soil ecology and atmospheric chemistry. Despite their global significance, microorganisms that consume methane in Zoige wetland remain poorly characterized. In this study, we investigated methanotrophs diversity in soil samples from both anaerobic site and aerobic site in Zoige wetland using pmoA gene as a molecular marker. The cloning library was constructed according to the pmoA sequences detected. Four clusters of methanotrophs were detected. The phylogenetic tree showed that all four clusters detected were affiliated to type I methanotrophs. Two novel clusters (cluster 1, cluster 2) were found to relate to none of the recognized genera of methanotrophs. These clusters have no cultured representatives and reveal an ecological adaptation of particular uncultured methanotrophs in Zoige wetland. Two clusters were belonging to Methylobacter and Methylococcus separately. Denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis gel bands pattern retrieved from these two samples revealed that the community compositions of anaerobic soil and aerobic soil were different from each other while anaerobic soil showed a higher metanotrophs diversity. Real-time PCR assays of the two samples demonstrated that aerobic soil sample in Zoige wetland was 1.5 times as much copy numbers as anaerobic soil. 2Native point defects and oxygen migration of rare earth zirconate and stannate pyrochlores显示文摘Various excellent properties of rare earth zirconate and stannate pyrochlores are close related with their native point defects.First-principles calculations are performed to systematically investigate the point defect mechanism and the oxygen diffusion behavior of A_(2)B_(2)O_(7)(A=La,Ce,Pr,Nd,Pm,Sm,Eu,Gd;B=Zr,Sn).The possible defect complexes and their associated reactions under stoichiometric and nonstoichiometric conditions are explored.The O Frenkel pairs are the most stable defect structure in stoichiometric zirconates,whereas the cation antisite defects are the predominant one in stoichiometric stannates.In the case of BO_(2) excess zirconates and stannates,the BA cation antisite defect with the A vacancy and/or the oxygen interstitial is energetically favorable,whereas the ABantisite defect together with the oxygen vacancy and/or the A interstitial is preferable under the A_(2)O_(3) excess condition.Meanwhile,the maximum point defect concentrations of zirconates are much higher than those of stannates.Furthermore,the oxygen migration barriers are similar in these compounds,ranging in 0.68 eV–0.80 eV.The predicted point defects and oxygen diffusion mechanisms play the critical role in their engineering applications and are expected to guide the future property improvement of pyrochlores through the control of point defects and/or composition.Juanli Zhao Yuchen Liu Yun Fan Wei Zhang Chengguan Zhang Guang Yang Hongfei Chen Bin Liu 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,14:2
3Corrosion resistance of non-stoichiometric gadolinium zirconate fabricated by laser-enhanced chemical vapor deposition显示文摘Gadolinium zirconate (GZ) is a promising candidate for next-generation thermal barrier coating (TBC) materials.Its corrosion resistance against calcium-magnesium-alumino-silicate(CMAS) needs to be further increased for enhancing its in-service life.As the Gd element plays an important role in the CMAS resistance,three GZ coatings (GZ-0.75,GZ-1.0,and GZ-1.2) with different Gd/Zr atomic ratios are designed and deposited by laser enhanced chemical vapor deposition(LCVD) in this work.It is found that the generated Gd-apatite in GZ-1.2 would block micro-cracks inside the column structure and the inter-columnar gap more efficiently.Thus,the CMAS penetration rate (5.2 μm/h) of GZ-1.2 decreases over 27% comparing with GZ-1.0 and GZ-0.75,which is even lower than the Gd_(2)Zr_(2)O_(7) coatings fabricated by electron-beam physical vapor depositions (EB-PVDs).This work provides a feasible way to adjust the coating's corrosion resistance and may guide the development of future coating for long in-service life.Chengguan ZHANG Yun FAN Juanli ZHAO Guang YANG Hongfei CHEN Liangmiao ZHANG Yanfeng GAO Bin LIU 2021Journal of Advanced Ceramics2021,10,3:2
4Unravelling how biochar and dung amendments determine the functional structure and community assembly related to methane metabolisms in grassland soils显示文摘Biochar and dung amendments have been extensively employed in soil remediation and fertilization of grasslands,which are the largest terrestrial sinks for methane.However,how these exogenous amendments regulate methane metabolisms at the molecular and community levels remains elusive.In this study,we investigated the functional genes and community assemblies of methanogens and methanotrophs using Geochip 5.0 and high-throughput sequencing to reveal the impacts of biochar and dung on soil methanogenesis and methane oxidation.The interac-tions between methane metabolic genes and other biogeochemical genes were also examined.According to Geo-chip microarrays,methanogenic gene mcrA decreased and increased with dung or biochar amendment,respectively;The methanotrophic gene pmoA showed a reverse but not significant tendency.Undominated processes contributed 65.51%to replace homogeneous selections as primary driving forces of methanogen assembly after dung amend-ment;the contribution of dispersal limitation increased to 46.13%in methanotroph assembly after biochar amend-ment.The diversity and association of co-occurrence networks for carbon-nitrogen cycling genes decreased after exogenous amendments.These results indicated that biochar and dung amendments prominently regulated the functional genes and community assembly involved in methane metabolisms.The co-existence patterns of methane metabolic genes and other related geochemical genes were also shaped by these amendments.This study provides the scientific reference for the development of grassland management in the context of global warming.Qingzhou Zhao Yanfen Wang Zhihong Xu Juanli Yun Zhisheng Yu 2022Biochar2022,4,1:0
