4Key immunity characteristics of diverse stages of brucellosis in rural population from Inner Mongolia, China显示文摘Background: Brucellosis poses a serious threat to human and animal health,particularly in developing countries such as China.The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is one of the most severely brucellosis-endemic provinces in China.Currently,the host immune responses functioning to control Brucella infection and development remain poorly understood.The aim of this study is to further clarify the key immunity characteristics of diverse stages of brucellosis in Inner Mongolia.Methods: We collected a total of 733 blood samples from acute(n=137),chronic(n=316),inapparent(n=35),recovery(n=99),and healthy(n=146)groups from the rural community of Inner Mongolia between 2014 and 2015.The proportions of CD4^(+),CD8^(+),Th1,Th2,and Th17 T cells in peripheral blood and the expression of TLR2 and TLR4 in lymphocytes,monocytes and granulocytes were examined using flow cytometry analysis.The differences among the five groups were compared using one-way ANOVA and the Kruskal–Wallis method,respectively.Results: Our results revealed that the proportions of CD4^(+) and CD8^(+) T cells were significantly different among the acute,chronic,recovery,and healthy control groups(P<0.05),with lower proportions of CD4^(+) T cells and a higher proportion of CD8^(+) T cells in the acute,chronic,and recovery groups.The proportion of Th1 cells in the acute,chronic,and inapparent groups was higher than that in the healthy and recovery groups;however,there was no significant difference between patients and healthy individuals(P>0.05).The proportion of Th2 lymphocytes was significantly higher in the acute and healthy groups than in the inapparent group(P<0.05).The proportion of Th17 cells in the acute group was significantly higher than that in the healthy control,chronic,and inapparent groups(P<0.05).Finally,the highest expression of TLR4 in lymphocytes,monocytes and granulocytes was observed in the recovery group,and this was followed by the acute,chronic,healthy control,and inapparent groups.There was a significant difference between the recovery group and the other groups,except for the acute group(P<0.05).Moreover,a correlation in TLR4 expression was observed in lymphocytes,monocytes and granulocytes among the five groups(r>0.5),except for the inapparent group between lymphocytes and granulocytes(r=0.34).Conclusions: Two key factors(CD8^(+)T cells and TLR4)in human immune profiles may closely correlate with the progression of brucellosis.The detailed function of TLR4 in the context of a greater number of cell types or tissues in human or animal brucellosis and in larger samples should be further explored in the future.Yongzhang Zhu Li Shi Yige Zeng Dongri Piao Yingbo Xie Juan Du Meng Gao Wei Gao Junli Tian Jun Yue Min Li XiaoKui Guo Yufeng Yao YaoXia Kang 2022Infectious Diseases of Poverty2022,11,3:1

6Synergistic-engineered van der Waals photodiodes with high efficiency显示文摘Van der Waals(vdW)heterostructures based on two-dimensional transitionmetal dichalcogenides have provided unprecedented opportunities for photovoltaic detectors owing to their strong light-matter interaction and ultrafast interfacial charge transfer.Despite continued advancement,insufficient control of photocarrier behaviors still limits the external quantum efficiency(EQE)and operation speed of such detectors.Here,we propose a synergistic strategy of contact-configuration design and thickness-modulation to construct high-performance vdW photodiodes based on the typical type II heterostructure(MoS2/WSe2).Through integrating three contact architectures into one device to exclude other factors,we solid the superiority of designed 1L-MoS2/WSe2/graphene heterostructures incorporating efficient photocarrier collection and gate modulation.Together with leveraging the layer-numberdependent properties of WSe2,we observe the critical thickness of WSe2(11 layers)for the highest EQE,which verifies the thickness-dependent competition between photocarrier generation,dissociation,and collection.Finally,we demonstrate the synergistic-engineered vdW heterostructure can trigger record-high EQE(61%)and manifest ultrafast photoresponse(4.1μs)at the atomically thin limit(8 nm).The proposed strategy enables architecture-design and thickness-engineering to unlock the potential to realize high-performance optoelectronic devices.Baishan Liu Xiankun Zhang Junli Du Jiankun Xiao Huihui Yu Mengyu Hong Li Gao Yang Ou Zhuo Kang Qingliang Liao Zheng Zhang Yue Zhang 2022InfoMat2022,4,3:1

10Robust,flame-retardant and colorful superamphiphobic aramid fabrics for extreme conditions显示文摘High-performance superamphiphobic fabrics are very useful in special fields,such as firefighting,rescue,and polar sports.The complicated preparation process,easily damaged surface structure,and high cost drastically limit their commercial application.In this work,we utilized a simple,low-cost superamphiphobic coating to prepare a superamphiphobic aramid fabric(SAF).The excellent repellency to acid/alkali solutions and low boiling point organic solvents has been demonstrated with the contact angle of>150°and>130°,respectively.Additionally,the original color of the fabric can also be maintained,accompanied by superior flame retardancy,strength and comfort with thermal degradation of 361℃.More importantly,SAF displayed excellent durability via 50 standard machine washes,100-min of ultrasonic washing,10-min of UV irradiation,120-min of high-temperature heating,5000 cycles of abrasion,and destructive abrasion by sharp metal.All the results showed the superior performance of our SAF in protective fabrics under extreme environmental conditions.LIU Xiang CHEN JunLi SHAO QingQing CAO JiQiang DU ZhaoQun LIU HongLing YU WeiDong 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,8:0
11Effect of different plant growth regulators on callus and adventitious shoots induction,polysaccharides accumulation and antioxidant activity of Rhodiola dumulosa显示文摘Objective:As a medicinal plant,the resource of Rhodiola dumulosa is deficient along with the large collection.For the protection and utilization of R.dumulosa,the influence of plant growth regulators(PGRs)on callus induction and adventitious shoots differentiation,polysaccharide production and the antioxidant activity were tested.Methods:Internodes of R.dumulosa were used as explants and cultured on MS medium plus different plant growth regulators(PGRs).The anti-oxidative activities of polysaccharides were evaluated using radical scavenging assays.Results:By response surface plot,0.85 mg/L N6-benzyladenine(BA),0.34 mg/L naphthaleneacetic acid(NAA)and 0.33 mg/L 2,4-dicholorophenoxyacetic acid(2,4-D)were the optimal factors for callus induction(90.03%)from internodes explants on MS medium.The fresh weight of green callus increased 47.26 fold,when callus was inoculated on MS+thidiazuron(TDZ)0.5 mg/L+NAA 2.0 mg/L.Adventitious buds regenerated from callus on the media of MS were fortified with BA 1.0 mg/L plus NAA 0.5 mg/L,and the induction rate was 40.00%.MS plus indole-3-butyric acid(IBA)1.0 mg/L produced the highest rooting rate with 10 to 15 roots in a length of 2–3 cm per shoot.The content of total polysaccharides in callus developed on MS+TDZ 0.5 mg/L+NAA 2.0 mg/L and MS+BA 1.0 mg/L+NAA 0.5 mg/L was as high as 1.72%2.15%.At the dose of 0.5 mg/mL polysaccharides extracted from different callus induced on MS+NAA 2.0 mg/L+TDZ 0.5 mg/L or MS+BA 1.0 mg/L+NAA 0.5 mg/L or MS+BA 0.5 mg/L+2,4-D 0.5 mg/L,the ABTS radical eliminating percentages were 82.78%,80.18%and 68.59%,respectively,much higher than that of wild plant.Conclusion:A rapid micropropagation system for R.dumulosa has been developed.The combination of TDZ and NAA or BA and NAA can increase the yield of the total polysaccharides.The polysaccharides isolated from callus and whole wild plants had stronger free radicals scavenging activities,indicating that polysaccharides from R.dumulosa are the potential pharmaceutical supplements.Xu Lu Liangdan Fei Yi Li Jialin Du Weiwei Ma Hangjun Huang Junli Wang 2023Chinese Herbal Medicines2023,15,2:0
12Enhanced electroreduction of CO_(2)to C_(2+)fuels by the synergetic effect of polyaniline/CuO nanosheets hybrids显示文摘Electrochemically converting CO_(2)to value-added multi-carbon(C_(2+))fuels and chemicals is a favorable way to achieve carbon neutrality.Herein,polyaniline/CuO nanosheets(PANI/CuO NSs)hybrid electrocatalysts are developed in order to achieve superior C_(2+)selectivity by imparting PANI functional component to the CuO NSs.The decorated PANI nanoparticles(NPs)can effectively stabilize the*CO intermediates and increase their coverage on the active Cu sites,which facilitates the C-C coupling to form multi-carbon products.Benefiting from the synergetic effect of PANI and CuO NSs,best Faradaic efficiency(FE)for C_(2+)product up to 66.4%at-1.6 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE)in a H-cell measurement and 60.0%at 400 mA·cm^(-2) in a flow cell measurement are demonstrated by PANI/CuO NSs-25 sample.More importantly,the C_(2+)selectivity keeps stable even in a continuous measurement time period of 92 h in H-cell measurement.The present study may provide more insights for designing efficient hybrid materials toward superior C_(2+)production from electrocatalytic CO_(2)reduction.Lian Ma Qinghong Geng Longlong Fan Jun-Xuan Li Dawei Du Junli Bai Cuiling Li 2023Nano Research2023,16,7:0
