| 1 | Decrease-radix design principle for carrying/borrowing free multi-valued and application in ternary optical computer显示文摘In this paper a new theory referred to as the decrease-radix design (DRD) is pro-posed,which is found in the research of logic units of ternary (tri-valued) optical computer. Based on the theory proposed,the principles and the regulations of the DRD for making operation units of multi-valued operation with carrying/borrowing free are also presented. The research work has come to the following important conclusion: let D be a special state contained in n physical informative states,then one may figure out any multi-valued processors within n(n×n) carrying/borrowing free n-valued units by the composition some of n×n×(n-1) simplest basic operating units according to the regulations of DRD proposed in this paper. The detailed systematic way of our design regulations is highlighted step by step in the paper with an example of design of a tri-valued logic optical operating unit. The real ar-chitecture,the procedure,and the experimental results of our sample in tri-valued logic operating unit are given. Finally,a re-constructible model of ternary logical optical processor is introduced. | 2 | Application of Traditional Chinese Medicine injection in treatment of primary liver cancer:a review显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the application of Traditional Chinese Medicine Injections(TCMIs) for treatment of primary liver cancer(PLC).METHODS:A literature review was conducted using PubMed/Medline,Cochrane Library Controlled Clinical Trials Database,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),China Scientific Journal Database(CSJD) and China Biology Medicine(CBM).Online websites including journal websites and databases of ongoing trials,as well as some Traditional Chinese Medicine journals that are not indexed in the electronic databases were also searched.RESULTS:The literature review showed that TCMIs as adjunctive medication for the treatment of PLC could regulate patient immunity,reduce bone marrow suppression,relieve clinical symptoms,and improve quality of life,as well as control disease progression and prolong survival time.CONCLUSION:Within the limitations of this review,we conclude that application of TCMIs as adjunctive medication may provide benefits for patients with PLC.Further large,high-quality trials are warranted. | Mouduo Li Cuixia Qiao Liping Qin Junyong Zhang Changquan Ling | 2012 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012,32,3: | 22 |

| 8 | Effects of short-term low temperatures on photosystem Ⅱ function of samara and leaf of Siberian maple (Acer ginnala) and subsequent recovery显示文摘Samara is the reproductive organ (seed) for many tree species in arid land in northwestern China. It is ecologically important in population development due to its dispersal function. However, information on its photosynthesis and effect of environmental stresses on its photosynthesis is still very limited. In the present study, responses of photosystem II (PSII) activity in samara and leaf of Siberian maple to short-term chilling/freezing and subsequent recovery potential were comparatively investigated by using polyphasic fluorescence test. The samara had more efficient photosynthesis (Fv/Fm and PIABS) and more efficient electron transport (φEo) but lower energy dissipation (DIo/RC) than leaf. Generally, the PSII performance and the electron transport for both samara and leaf were inhibited under low temperature stress, accompanied by an increase of energy dissipation in PSII reaction centers (RCs). PSII of both samara and leaf was not markedly affected by chilling and could acclimate to chilling stress. Short-term freezing could completely inhibit PSII activity in both samara and leaf, indicated by the drop of values of Fv/Fm, PIABS, φEo to zero. PSII functional parameters of short-term dark frozen samara could be largely recovered whereas those of frozen leaf could not be recovered. | 11 | Dynamic Balance Control Based on an Adaptive Gain-scheduled Backstepping Scheme for Power-line Inspection Robots显示文摘This paper presents an adaptive gain-scheduled backstepping control(AGSBC) scheme for the balance control of an underactuated mechanical power-line inspection(PLI) robotic system with two degrees of freedom and a single control input.First, a nonlinear dynamic model of the balance adjustment process of the PLI robot is constructed, and then the model is linearized at a nominal equilibrium point to overcome the computational infeasibility of the conventional backstepping technique. Second, to solve generalized stabilization control issue for underactuated systems with multiple equilibrium points,an equilibrium manifold linearized model is developed using a scheduling variable, and then a gain-scheduled backstepping control(GSBC) scheme for expanding the operational area of the controlled system is constructed. Finally, an adaptive mechanism is proposed to counteract the impact of external disturbances. The robust stability of the closed-loop system is ensured by Lyapunov theorem. | 12 | Reversing abnormal hole localization in high-Alcontent AlGaN quantum well to enhance deep ultraviolet emission by regulating the orbital state coupling显示文摘AlGaN has attracted considerable interest for ultraviolet(UV)applications.With the development of UV optoelectronic devices,abnormal carrier confinement behaviour has been observed for c-plane-oriented AlGaN quantum wells(QWs)with high Al content.Because of the dispersive crystal field split-off hole band(CH band)composed of pz orbitals,the abnormal confinement becomes the limiting factor for efficient UV light emission.This observation differs from the widely accepted concept that confinement of carriers at the lowest quantum level is more pronounced than that at higher quantum levels,which has been an established conclusion for conventional continuous potential wells.In particular,orientational pz orbitals are sensitive to the confinement direction in line with the conducting direction,which affects the orbital intercoupling.In this work,models of Al_(0.75)Ga_(0.25)N/AlN QWs constructed with variable lattice orientations were used to investigate the orbital intercoupling among atoms between the well and barrier regions.Orbital engineering of QWs was implemented by changing the orbital state confinement,with the well plane inclined from 0°to 90°at a step of 30°(referred to the c plane).The barrier potential and transition rate at the band edge were enhanced through this orbital engineering.The concept of orbital engineering was also demonstrated through the construction of inclined QW planes on semi-and nonpolar planes implemented in microrods with pyramid-shaped tops.The higher emission intensity from the QWs on the nonpolar plane compared with those on the polar plane was confirmed via localized cathodoluminescence(CL)maps. | Li Chen Wei Lin Huiqiong Wang Jinchai Li Junyong Kang | 2020 | Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1: | 6 |

| 14 | Synthesis and Thermal Insulation Performance of Silica Aerogel from Recycled Coal Gangue by Means of Ambient Pressure Drying显示文摘Silica aerogel materials are well recognized for their superinsulation performance and are regarded as one of the hot candidates to revolutionize building insulation. To date, high production cost related to exorbitant precursors as well as cumbrous multi-step hydrophobization process has often narrowed the field of applications. In this work, granular silica aerogel materials were synthesized by extracting Si O2 from recycled rich silicon coal gangue, followed by one-step hydrophobization and ambient pressure drying. Lightweight(about 0.16 g/cm3) and nanostructural aerogels were obtained through this route. They exhibit a 3D open porous microstructure with around 600 cm2/g surface area and 20 nm of the average pore diameter, thermal conductivity of 4-5 mm packed granules is 20-25 m W/(m·K), which was proved by both guarded hot plate and hot-wire transient methods. | 15 | Impact of the equivalent center of mass separating from the sliding surface on the isolation performance of friction pendulum bearings显示文摘A new equivalent center of mass model of FPBs(friction pendulum bearings) is introduced, and based on this model, coefficient j of the equivalent center of mass separating from the sliding surface is defined. It is thought in theory that j has a significant impact on the isolation parameter of FPBs, since the equivalent post-yielding stiffness and friction coefficients are not simply determined by sliding radius and sliding friction pairs. The results of numerical simulation analysis using ABAQUS conducted on two groups of FPBs support this viewpoint. For FPBs with the same sliding radius and sliding friction pairs, the FPB modules of structural analysis software such as ETABS could only distinguish the equivalent transformation using j one by one. The seismic response data obtained in a base isolation calculation example of FPBs are very different, which reveals that j's impact on the isolation effectiveness of FPBs cannot be ignored. | 17 | A Two-stage Robust Optimal Allocation Model of Distributed Generation Considering Capacity Curve and Real-time Price Based Demand Response显示文摘Demand response, the reactive power output of distributed generation(DG), and network reconfiguration have significant impacts on a DG allocation strategy. In this context, a novel real-time price-based demand response formulation is integrated into the allocation model of DG. The tariff is regulated by the difference between the load and active power of renewable energy. Meanwhile, network reconfiguration and the capacity curve describing the active and reactive power limits of DG are included in the optimization model for promoting the allocation of DG.With these measures, the optimal allocation model of DG is established with the goal of maximizing the net annual profit while guaranteeing the efficient utilization of renewable energy. In addition, the uncertainties of renewable energy are considered on the basis of a two-stage robust optimization method. Finally, the entire optimization model is solved by the column and constraint generation algorithm in the IEEE 33-bus distribution system and a practical 99-bus distribution system. | 18 | Simplified mathematical model of inter-turn short circuit of field windings in hydro-generators and its application显示文摘Inter-turn short circuit of field windings is a common electrical fault of generators.Simulation is an important method of investigating the fault and providing data support for fault monitoring.However,huge numbers of pole pairs and damper loops in large hydro-generators would lead to lengthy calculation time,hindering scientific research and engineering application.To deal with this problem,we analyze a theoretical basis for a damper winding simplified model and then propose an equivalent treatment method.Through the analysis of steady-state current harmonic characteristics of generators with different stator winding configurations during the fault,the simplified models suitable for steady-state calculation are derived from two aspects,namely,additional rotor harmonic current frequency characteristics and the relationship of the amplitude as well as the phase of each branch current of the stator.The calculation and experimental results of the two simplified models are then compared to verify the models' correctness.A calculation example of the Three Gorges left bank VGS generator shows few deviations between the calculation results of the simplified model and the original model.Moreover,the calculation time using the simplified model is 1/1500 that using the original model,which provides a more effective tool for on-line fault monitoring.Finally,the sensitivity-verification application of the fault-monitoring scheme based on the stator steady-state unbalanced current RMS is depicted.The result shows that the scheme can monitor two-turn short circuits of field windings in the Three Gorges generator and provide high sensitivity. | HAO LiangLiang WU JunYong SUN YuGuang WANG XiangHeng | 2013 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,4: | 5 |
