2Frictional contact algorithm study on the numerical simulation of large deformations in deep soft rock tunnels显示文摘There exist three types of nonlinear problems in large deformation processes of deep softrock engineering, i.e., nonlinearity caused by material, geometrical and contact boundary. In this paper, the numerical method to tackle the nonlinear contact and large deformation problem in A Software on Large Deformation Analysis for Soft Rock Engineering at Great Depth was presented. In the software, based on Lagrange multiplier method and Coulomb friction law, kinematic constraints on contact boundaries were introduced in functional function, and the finite element equations was established for two incremental large deformation analyses models, polar decomposition model and additive decomposition model. For every incremental loading step, by searching for the contact points in the potential contact interfaces (the excavation boundaries), the Lagrange multipliers, i.e., contact forces are calculated iteratively by Gauss-Seidel method, and justified through satisfy the inequalities of static constraint on contact boundaries. With the software, large deformation and frictional contact of a transport roadway were analyzed numerically by the two models. 7Ufl1 deficiency causes kidney atrophy associated with disruption of endoplasmic reticulum homeostasis显示文摘The UFMylation modification is a novel ubiquitin-like conjugation system,consisting of UBA5(E1),UFC1(E2),UFL1(E3),and the conjugating molecule UFM1.Deficiency in this modification leads to embryonic lethality in mice and diseases in humans.However,the function of UFL1 is poorly characterized.Studies on Ufl1 conditional knockout mice have demonstrated that the deletion of Ufl1 in cardiomyocytes and in intestinal epithelial cells causes heart failure and increases susceptibility to experimentally induced colitis,respectively,suggesting an essential role of UFL1 in the maintenance of the homeostasis in these organs.Yet,its physiological function in other tissues and organs remains completely unknown.In this study,we generate the nephron tubules specific Ufl1 knockout mice and find that the absence of Ufl1 in renal tubular results in kidney atrophy and interstitial fibrosis.In addition,Ufl1 deficiency causes the activation of unfolded protein response and cell apoptosis,which may be responsible for the kidney atrophy and interstitial fibrosis.Collectively,our results have demonstrated the crucial role of UFL1 in regulating kidney function and maintenance of endoplasmic reticulum homeostasis,providing another layer of understanding kidney atrophy.You Zhou Xifu Ye Chenlu Zhang Jiabao Wang Zeyuan Guan Juzhen Yan Lu Xu Ke Wang Di Guan Qian Liang Jian Mao Junzhi Zhou Qian Zhang Xiaoying Wu Miao Wang Yu-Sheng Cong Jiang Liu 2021Journal of Genetics and Genomics2021,48,5:1

17Influence of unsupported sleepers on the dynamic stability of ballasted bed based on wheelset impact tests显示文摘The unsupported sleeper can change the load characteristics of ballast particles and thus affect the dynamic stability of a ballasted bed.In this work,a laboratory test was constructed on a ballasted track containing unsupported sleepers.The ballasted track was excited by a wheelset,and the influence of unsupported sleepers on the dynamic stability of a ballasted bed was studied.The results show that the main frequency of the sleeper vibration appeared at 670 Hz,and the first-order rigid vibration mode at the frequency of 101 Hz had a significant effect on the condition without the unsupported sleeper.When the sleepers were continuously unsupported,the vibration damping effect of ballasted bed within the frequency range of 0–450 Hz was better than that at higher frequencies.Within the frequency range of 70–250 Hz,the vibration damping effect of the ballasted bed with unsupported sleepers was better than that without the unsupported sleeper.Owing to the excitation from the wheelset impact,the lateral resistance of the ballasted bed with unsupported sleepers whose hanging heights were 30,60,and 90 mm increased by 37.43%,12.25%,and 18.23%,respectively,while the lateral resistance of the ballasted bed without the unsupported sleeper remained basically unchanged.The unsupported sleeper could increase the difference in the quality of the ballasted bed between two adjacent sleepers.In addition,test results show that the hanging height of the unsupported sleeper had little effect on the lateral resistance of a ballasted bed without external excitation,but had an obvious effect on the rate of change of the lateral resistance of a ballasted bed and the acceleration amplitude of the sleeper vibration under the wheelset impact.Juzhen Liu Shuai Du Ganzhong Liu Ping Wang Rong Chen Xiankui Wei Hao Liu 2023Railway Engineering Science2023,31,1:0
18High-resolution sea surface wind speeds of Super Typhoon Lekima (2019) retrieved by Gaofen-3 SAR显示文摘Gaofen-3(GF-3)is the first Chinese spaceborne multi-polarization synthetic aperture radar(SAR)instrument at C-band(5.43 GHz).In this paper,we use data collected from GF-3 to observe Super Typhoon Lekima(2019)in the East China Sea.Using a VH-polarized wide ScanSAR(WSC)image,ocean surface wind speeds at 100m horizontal resolution are obtained at 21:56:59 UTC on 8 August 2019,with the maximum wind speed,38.9 m·s^(-1).Validating the SAR-retrieved winds with buoymeasured wind speeds,we find that the root mean square error(RMSE)is 1.86 m·s^(-1),and correlation coefficient,0.92.This suggests that wind speeds retrieved from GF-3 SAR are reliable.Both the European Centre for MediumRange Weather Forecasts(ECMWF)fine grid operational forecast products with spatial resolution,and China Global/Regional Assimilation and Prediction Enhance System(GRAPES)have good performances on surface wind prediction under weak wind speed condition(<24 m·s^(-1)),but underestimate the maximum wind speed when the storm is intensified as a severe tropical storm(>24m·s^(-1)).With respect to SAR-retrieved wind speeds,the RMSEs are 5.24 m·s^(–1) for ECMWF and 5.17 m·s^(–1) for GRAPES,with biases of 4.16 m·s^(–1) for ECMWF and 3.84 m·s^(-1)for GRAPES during Super Typhoon Lekima(2019).He FANG William PERRIE Gaofeng FAN Zhengquan LI Juzhen CAI Yue HE Jingsong YANG Tao XIE Xuesong ZHU 2022Frontiers of Earth Science2022,16,1:0
