1Optimization of Short Stroke Control Preset for Automatic Width Control of Hot Rolling Mill显示文摘Automatic width control is a key issue in hot strip rolling process. The edge rolling has been widely used in the roughing stand of hot strip mill to control the width of the slab. However, the edge rolling and consequent horizontal rolling will cause a significant width change in the head part and tail part of the slab, which have to be trimmed before the finishing stands. Based on the width reduction deformation curve of the head and tail along the longitudinal direction of slab, the short stroke control (SSC) technology has been developed to overcome this problem. The finite element method has been used to simulate the unsteady edge rolling process. Three short stroke control curves have been compared in order to obtain the best width control result. 2金属塑性成形的晶体塑性学有限元模拟研究进展显示文摘综述了金属塑性成形过程中晶体塑性有限元模拟的理论背景和应用方面的研究进展,同时总结了国内研究者该领域的研究现状,指出了晶体塑性有限元模拟所要解决的问题及研究重点。晶体塑性理论起源于20世纪20 年代,包括单晶塑性本构理论和多晶塑性本构理论,能够深刻揭示材料变形的规律。与此同时,开始于30多年前的有限元法也已经日益成为求解材料成形理论公式的有效工具。晶体塑性有限元法作为一个强大的模拟工具将二者有机地结合在一起,已经广泛地用于模拟材料的微观结构和各种力学响应,越来越被材料界和力学界的研究者所重视;然而,无论是在理论方面还是应用方面晶体塑性有限元法都还不尽完善。未来晶体塑性有限元模拟的理论研究重点是建立系统的理论架构用于预测由滑移和孪晶引起塑性变形材料的各种力学响应,应用研究重点是运用各种模型模拟其他与织构相关的性能或参数。晶体塑性有限元模拟不仅能够深化人们对材料成形规律的理解, 而且可以不断推进晶体塑性理论的发展。皮华春 韩静涛 薛永栋 TIEU A Kiet 姜正义 2006机械工程学报2006,42,3:11
3Modeling uniaxial tensile deformation of polycrystalline Al using CPFEM显示文摘The crystal plasticity finite element modeling(CPFEM)is realized in commercial finite element code ABAQUS with UMAT subroutine on the basis of the crystal plasticity theory of rate dependent polycrystal constitutive relations in the mesoscopic scale.The initial orientations obtained by electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)are directly input into the CPFEM to simulate the mechanical response of polycrystaUine 1050 pure Al in uniaxial tensile deformation.Two polycrystal models and two tensile strain rates were used in the simulations.The stress-strain curves of tensile deformation were analyzed.The predictions and the corre- sponding experiment result show reasonable agreement and slight deviation with experiments.The flow true stress of strain rate 0.01 s^(-1)is higher than that of strain rate 0.001 s^(-1).At the strain less than 0.05,the stress saturated rate of the experiment is higher than the simulated results.However,the stress saturated rate of the experiment becomes gentler than the corresponding simulated predictions at the strain over 0.05.Also,necking was simulated by the two models,but the necking strain is not well predicted.Tensile textures at strain 0.25 were predicted at the low strain rate of 0.001 s^(-1).The predictions are in good accord with the experimental results.Huachun pi Jingtao Han Chuanguo Zhang A. 10Effect of stress state on deformation and fracture of nanocrystalline copper:Molecular dynamics simulation显示文摘Deformation in a microcomponent is often constrained by surrounding joined material making the component under mixed loading and multiple stress states. In this study, molecular dynamics(MD) simulation are conducted to probe the effect of stress states on the deformation and fracture of nanocrystalline Cu. Tensile strain is applied on a Cu single crystal,bicrystal and polycrystal respectively, under two different tension boundary conditions. Simulations are first conducted on the bicrystal and polycrystal models without lattice imperfection. The results reveal that, compared with the performance of simulation models under free boundary condition, the transverse stress caused by the constrained boundary condition leads to a much higher tensile stress and can severely limit the plastic deformation, which in return promotes cleavage fracture in the model. Simulations are then performed on Cu single crystal and polycrystal with an initial crack. Under constrained boundary condition, the crack tip propagates rapidly in the single crystal in a cleavage manner while the crack becomes blunting and extends along the grain boundaries in the polycrystal. 14Impact of chosen force fields and applied load on thin film lubrication显示文摘The rapid development of molecular dynamics(MD)simulations,as well as classical and reactive atomic potentials,has enabled tribologists to gain new insights into lubrication performance at the fundamental level.However,the impact of adopted potentials on the rheological properties and tribological performance of hydrocarbons has not been researched adequately.This extensive study analyzed the effects of surface structure,applied load,and force field(FF)on the thin film lubrication of hexadecane.The lubricant film became more solid‐like as the applied load increased.In particular,with increasing applied load,there was an increase in the velocity slip,shear viscosity,and friction.The degree of ordering structure also changed with the applied load but rather insignificantly.It was also significantly dependent on the surface structure.The chosen FFs significantly influenced the lubrication performance,rheological properties,and molecular structure.The adaptive intermolecular reactive empirical bond order(AIREBO)potential resulted in more significant liquid‐like behaviors,and the smallest velocity slip,degree of ordering structure,and shear stress were compared using the optimized potential for liquid simulations of united atoms(OPLS‐UAs),condensed‐phase optimized molecular potential for atomic simulation studies(COMPASS),and ReaxFF.Generally,classical potentials,such as OPLS‐UA and COMPASS,exhibit more solid‐like behavior than reactive potentials do.Furthermore,owing to the solid‐like behavior,the lubricant temperatures obtained from OPLS‐UA and COMPASS were much lower than those obtained from AIREBO and ReaxFF.The increase in shear stress,as well as the decrease in velocity slip with an increase in the surface potential parameterζ,remained conserved for all chosen FFs,thus indicating that the proposed surface potential parameterζfor the COMPASS FF can be verified for a wide range of atomic models.Thi D.TA Hien D.TA Kiet A.TIEU Bach H.TRAN 2021Friction2021,9,5:1
