| 1 | Genome-wide association analysis identified molecular markers associated with important tea flavor-related metabolites显示文摘The characteristic secondary metabolites in tea(theanine,caffeine,and catechins)are important factors contributing to unique tea flavors.However,there has been relatively little research on molecular markers related to these metabolites.Thus,we conducted a genome-wide association analysis of the levels of these tea flavor-related metabolites in three seasons.The theanine,caffeine,and catechin levels in Population 1 comprising 191 tea plant germplasms were examined,which revealed that their heritability exceeded 0.5 in the analyzed seasons,with the following rank order(highest to lowest heritabilities):(+)-catechin>(−)-gallocatechin gallate>caffeine=(−)-epicatechin>(−)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate>theanine>(−)-epigallocatechin>(−)-epicatechin-3-gallate>catechin gallate>(+)-gallocatechin.The SNPs detected by amplified-fragment SNP and methylation sequencing divided Population 1 into three groups and seven subgroups.An association analysis yielded 307 SNP markers related to theanine,caffeine,and catechins that were common to all three seasons.Some of the markers were pleiotropic.The functional annotation of 180 key genes at the SNP loci revealed that FLS,UGT,MYB,and WD40 domain-containing proteins,as well as ATP-binding cassette transporters,may be important for catechin synthesis.KEGG and GO analyses indicated that these genes are associated with metabolic pathways and secondary metabolite biosynthesis.Moreover,in Population 2(98 tea plant germplasm resources),30 candidate SNPs were verified,including 17 SNPs that were significantly or extremely significantly associated with specific metabolite levels.These results will provide a foundation for future research on important flavor-related metabolites and may help accelerate the breeding of new tea varieties. | Kaixing Fang Zhiqiang Xia Hongjian Li Xiaohui Jiang Dandan Qin Qiushuang Wang Qing Wang Chendong Pan Bo Li Hualing Wu | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 10 |
| 2 | Robust fault-tolerant attitude control for satellite with multiple uncertainties and actuator faults显示文摘In this paper,the satellite attitude control system subject to parametric perturbations,external disturbances,time-varying input delays,actuator faults and saturation is studied.In order to make the controller architecture simple and practical,the closed-loop system is transformed into a disturbance-free nominal system and an equivalent disturbance firstly.The equivalent disturbance represents all above uncertainties and actuator failures of the original system.Then a robust controller is proposed in a simple composition consisting of a nominal controller and a robust compensator.The nominal controller is designed for the transformed nominal system.The robust compensator is developed from a second-order filter to restrict the influence of the equivalent disturbance.Stability analysis indicates that both attitude tracking errors and compensator states can converge into the given neighborhood of the origin in finite time.To verify the effectiveness of the proposed control law,numerical simulations are carried out in different cases.Presented results demonstrate that the high-precision attitude tracking control can be achieved by the proposed fault-tolerant control law.Furthermore,multiple system performances including the control accuracy and energy consumption index are fully discussed under a series of compensator parameters. | Liming FAN Hai HUANG Kaixing ZHOU | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,12: | 4 |

| 4 | The Combined Effect of Plastic Particles Size and Concentration on Rotifers’ (Brachionus plicatilis) Performance显示文摘The presence of microplastics in aquatic ecosystems is of increasing global concern.Nano-sized plastics,in particular,can penetrate the cell membrane and cause biological death.Our study evaluated the combined impacts of several polystyrene mi-crospheres’sizes and nominal concentrations on the overall performance changes of Brachionus plicatilis.Experimental animals were exposed to three microplastic sizes(0.08,0.5 and 6μm)and five nominal concentrations(0,0.5,2,8,32μg mL−1)for 20 d.Our results showed that the toxicological effect of particle size on rotifers did not significantly depend on the nominal concentration.The interaction between the nominal concentration and size occurred only for body length and lorica width.Specifically,high nominal concentrations of microplastics that were close to nanometer size significantly impaired the overall vitality of rotifers,embodied in shortage of body type,delay in the arrival of maturity,reduction in the cumulative number of neonates,and the advance of the death process.In comparison,fair-sized size(0.5 and 6μm)displayed non-significant damage except for individual groups.Most notably,the net reproductive yield was only a third of what it was in the original environment,implying that there was not much fertility left.Besides,with the development of rotifers,the adverse effects of polystyrene microsphere drive had become more and more serious. | SUI Yanming WANG Senyang MOHSEN Mohamed ZHANG Longsheng SHEN Mengyan LIU Zhiquan NGUYEN Haidang ZHANG Shengmao LI Kaixing LV Linlan DONG Xuexing | 2022 | Journal of Ocean University of China2022,21,2: | 3 |
| 5 | Experimental Studies on Fuel Spray Characteristics of Pressure-Swirl Atomizer and Air-Blast Atomizer显示文摘In this work,the effects of fuel temperatures and pressure drops on the flow field and spray characteristics of a pressure-swirl atomizer were discussed using the Particle Imaging Velocimetry(PIV),Planar Laser Induced Fluorescence(PLIF)and Laser Particle Size Analyzer(LPSA)methods.Then the air-blast atomizer was selected to study the interaction of initial atomization and flow field.The effect of fuel-air ratio on the air-blast atomizer were also considered,where the fuel-air ratio was varied by adjusting mass flow rate of the air and fuel respectively.The results show that the spray angle of the pressure-swirl atomizer increases first and changes a little after the pressure drop higher than 0.5 MPa.However,more fuel concentrate on the central region,which is mainly caused by the increase of the proportion of small droplets with lower centrifugal force.The fuel temperature can improve the spray angle only in lower pressure drop,and it has a little effect under higher pressure drops.In addition,the fuel pressure drop has an obvious influence on the fuel distribution and flow field near the nozzle exit compared with the downstream.For the air-blast atomizer,the spray angle increases compared with the pressure-swirl atomizer for the introduction of swirl air.Furthermore,the spray angle decreases with the air mass rate increasing,and it increases with the fuel mass rate increasing.The distribution of velocity and droplet near the nozzle exit is influenced by the air mass rate,and the fuel mass rate mainly affects the distribution in the downstream.The fuel accumulates in the annular area below the nozzle,and the distribution of it changes little with the development along the axial direction. | WANG Kaixing FAN Xiongjie LIU Fuqiang LIU Cunxi LU Haitao XU Gang | 2021 | Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,2: | 1 |

Melrose) were treated with 0, 50, 100, or 150 mmol L-1Na Cl for 5 days. A series of physiological parameters were determined in both shoots and roots, including content of chlorophyll(Chl) and malondialdehyde(MDA); electrolyte leakage(EL); hydrogen peroxide(H2O2) concentration; superoxide oxygen radical(O2-)production rate; activities of several enzymes including superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT), and peroxidase(POD); and selective ion(Na+and K+) accumulation. Our results showed that the relative salt tolerance of ACC547 was associated with lower loss of Chl content; lower MDA content, EL, H2O2 concentration, and O2-production rate in both shoots and roots; higher POD activity caused by new isoforms in roots; and higher K+concentration and K+/Na+ratio in shoots. | 19 | Protective Effect of Paeonol on Diabetic Cardiomyopathy in Rats显示文摘[Objectives] The protective effect of paeonol on DCM was further confirmed by observing the changes of myocardial structure and function in rats. [Methods] Rats were fed high-sugar and high-fat diet and injected intraperitoneally with streptozotocin(STZ) for two consecutive days to prepare animal model of type II diabetes. The model rats were randomly divided into model group, low-dose paeonol group(30 mg/kg), middle-dose paeonol group(60 mg/kg), high-dose paeonol group(120 mg/kg) and metformin group(157 mg/kg). The detected indicators included heart weight index(HWI), blood glucose(FBG), body mass, triglyceride(TG), and total cholesterol(TC). Myocardial pathological changes were observed by HE staining. The extent of myocardial fibrosis was observed by Masson staining. [Results] In the model group, the body weight of the rats declined significantly, and the phenomena of overdrinking, overeating and polyuria occurred. Compared with the model group, the body weight of rats in the paeonol treatment groups increased to different extents. Compared with the normal group, the HWI, FBG, LDH, AST, and TG increased in the model group, and decreased in different degrees in the paeonol treatment groups(P<0.05), suggesting that paeonol has certain protective effect on diabetic cardiomyopathy in rats. After HE staining and fixation, the myocardial tissue of rats was observed by optical microscope. The morphology of myocardial cells and myocardial fibers in the normal group were normal;Compared with the normal group, the model group has hypertrophy of myocardial cells, disordered arrangement of myocardial fibers, fiber breakage and dissolution, uneven staining between myocardial cells, and nucleus breakage or even disappearance;Compared with the model group, the pathological changes of myocardium in the paeonol treatment groups and DMBG group have been improved to different degrees. The arrangement of myocardial fibers is regular and the coloration is uniform. The results of Masson staining showed that in the normal group, and there was no significant increase of myocardial collagen fibers in the myocardial interstitium. Compared with the normal group, myocardial cells and interstitial collagen fibers(blue) in the model group were significantly increased. Compared with model group, myocardial collagen fiber hyperplasia in the paeonol treatment groups and DMBG group showed different degrees of improvement, among which the Pae-H group had the least blue bands and the most obvious improvement of collagen fiber. | 20 | Experimental and Numerical Investigations on Ignition and LBO Performances for Staged Combustor under Sub-Atmospheric Conditions显示文摘In order to effectively widen the high-altitude operating limits of the multi-swirl staged combustor,the ignition and lean blow-out(LBO)performances of the model combustor were experimentally acquired under the conditions of room temperature and sub-atmospheric pressure with the altitude ranging from 0 km to 12 km.Moreover,the isothermal flow fields inside a staged model combustor with different sub-atmospheric conditions were simulated.Experimental results show that the minimum ignition and LBO fuel-air ratio(FAR)increase rapidly with the increase of simulated altitude.In addition,as the relative pressure drop of injector increases from1%to 3%,the ignition and LBO performances are gradually improved.Side visualization of the flame by high-speed camera shows that the time-averaged flames under stable combustion have a similar distribution pattern under different pressure drops.The luminous intensity is stratified into dim-bright-dim layers along axial direction.The flame near LBO shrinks to the outlet of pilot stage with a great reduction in luminous intensity.The numerical results reveal that with the decrease of air pressure,the air mass flow rate involved in atomization and combustion is significantly reduced,and the aerodynamic shear force of swirling air is weakened,which are adverse to atomization and fuel-air mixing for airblast atomizer and further lead to the deterioration of ignition and LBO performances. | ZHAO Qianpeng XU Gang MU Yong YANG Jinhu WANG Kaixing | 2023 | Journal of Thermal Science2023,32,3: | 0 |
