| 1 | Hd1,Ghd7,and DTH8 synergistically determine the rice heading date and yield-related agronomic traits显示文摘Heading date determines the seasonal and regional adaptation of rice(Oryza sativa L.)varieties and is mainly controlled by photoperiod sensitivity(PS).The core heading date genes Hd1,Ghd7,DTH8,and PRR37 act synergistically in regulating the PS.In this study,we systematically analyze the heading date,PS,and agronomic traits of eight homozygous lines with various combinations of Hd1,Ghd7,and DTH8 alleles in the prr37 background under long-day(LD)and short-day(SD)conditions,respectively.We find that Hd1 alone promotes heading,regardless of the day length.However,under LDs,Hd1 suppresses flowering,in coordination with functional Ghd7 or with Ghd7 and DTH8.These loci cooperate to negatively regulate the Ehd1-Hd3 a/RFT1 pathway and delay heading.Under SDs,Hd1 competes with various heading suppressors to promote heading.Therefore,the dual function of Hd1 is vital for PS.The lines carrying Hd1 alone show reduced plant height with fewer primary and secondary branches in panicles.Lines carrying Ghd7 and DTH8(with hd1)show delayed heading and improve agronomic traits.Overall,our results reveal the regulation of rice PS flowering by the core heading date genes and their effects on agronomic traits,providing valuable information for the selection of rice varieties for adaptation to different light and temperature conditions. | Kangli Sun Minghui Huang Wubei Zong Dongdong Xiao Chen Lei Yanqiu Luo Yingang Song Shengting Li Yu Hao Wanni Luo Bingqun Xu Xiaotong Guo Guangliang Wei Letian Chen Yao-Guang Liu Jingxin Guo | 2022 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,5: | 4 |
| 2 | Experimental Investigation on the Temperature Distribution Characteristics of the Evaporation Section in a Pulsating Heat Pipe显示文摘With the increasing demand for heat dissipation in the electronics industry, pulsating heat pipe(PHP) has attracted wide attention due to its simple structure and excellent heat transfer ability. However, due to the unique operational mechanism of PHP, the temperature distribution in the evaporation section is obviously not even during the operational process of PHP. When the PHP is used as a heat dissipater, the evaporation section of the PHP directly contacts with the chips and has great influence on the performance of the chips, so it is very important to investigate the temperature distribution characteristics in the evaporation section. In this paper, both the effects of the filling ratio and heat flux on these characteristics were investigated. The experimental results indicated that the temperatures of the middle 'U' turn were the highest. When the heat flux and the filling ratio were 364 W/cm^2 and 36.3%, respectively, the maximum temperature difference between the middle 'U' turn and the other 'U' turns could be as high as 18.92 K. | 3 | Vesicle-shaped ZIF-8 shell shielded in 3D carbon cloth for uniform nucleation and growth towards long-life lithium metal anode显示文摘Lithium metal has aroused extensive research interests as the anode for next-generation rechargeable batteries.However,the well-known dendritic Li growth and consequent safety issues still impair the long-term cycling performance.Herein,a hybrid structure composed of 3 D carbon cloth and vesicleshaped hollow ZIF-8 modification shell(HZS@CC)was prepared as a smart host for guiding uniform Li deposition.The long-range interconnected 3 D carbon fiber network enables the reduced local current density with homogeneous electrons distribution.Synergistically,abundant surface polar groups and the ultrastructure on ZIF-8 particles effectively guide a well-distributed Li-ions flow to promote the uniform Li nucleation and growth.As a result,stable Li plating/stripping for 2000 h with a low overpotential(≈15 mV)at 1 mA cm^(-2) were achieved in symmetric cells.Coupling with LiFePO_(4) cathode,the full cell delivered long life over 1200 cycles at 6 C.This research demonstrated that a homogenization guiding of Li-ions is of great importance to better make use of the structural advantage of 3 D hosts and achieve improved electrochemical performance. | Yuting Fang Wenlong Cai Shanshan Zhu Kangli Xu Maogen Zhu Guannan Xiao Yongchun Zhu | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,3: | 2 |

| 6 | Downy feather-like para-aramid fibers and nonwovens with enhanced absorbency,air filtration and thermal insulation performances显示文摘Fiber morphology with off-standing branches,as found in nature,e.g.,in goose downy feather,provides exquisite functions that can be barely achieved by man-made fiber systems.In this work,we develop a simple and scalable method for generating downy feather-like para-aramid fibers and assemblies.Through treating commercial para-aramid microfibers with mild alkaline solution(low concentration of NaOH),a synergistic effect of chemical hydrolysis and physical shearing is successfully triggered to generate abundant nanofiber branches on the surface of para-aramid fibers.When compared with conventional monotonous structures,nonwovens composed of downy feather-like fibers exhibit a typical multiscale fiber morphology,larger specific surface area and smaller pore size,thus showing enhanced particles adsorption capacity(over twice of the pristine nonwoven),excellent oil absorption capacity(increased by~50%),improved air filtration performances(doubled the filtration efficiency)and effective thermal insulation(thermal conductivity=26.1 mW·m^(−1)·K^(−1)).More attractively,the intrinsic flame-retardant nature of para-aramid is well inherited by the downy feather-like fibers,and the fabrication process requires neither sophisticated equipment,nor tedious procedures,making us believe the strong competitiveness of these fibers and assemblies. | Kangli Xu Jixia Deng Guangliang Tian Lei Zhan Jiajia Ma Lijun Wang Qinfei Ke Chen Huang | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,6: | 1 |
| 7 | Air pollutant emissions from the asphalt industry in Beijing,China显示文摘Improving our understanding of air pollutant emissions fromthe asphalt industry is critical for the development and implementation of pollution control policies.In this study,the spatial distribution of potential maximum emissions of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)in the complete life cycle of asphaltmixtures,as well as the particulate matter(PM),asphalt fume,nonmethane hydrocarbons(NMHCs),VOCs,and benzoapyrene(BaP)emissions from typical processes(e.g.,asphalt and concrete mixing stations,asphalt heating boilers,and asphalt storage tanks)in asphalt mixing plants,were determined in Beijing in 2017.The results indicated that the potential maximum emissions of VOCs in the complete life cycle of asphalt mixtures were 18,001 ton,with a large contribution from the districts of Daxing,Changping,and Tongzhou.The total emissions of PM,asphalt fume,NMHC,VOCs,and BaP from asphalt mixing plants were 3.1,12.6,3.1,23.5,and 1.9×10^(−3)ton,respectively.The emissions of PMfromasphalt and concretemixing stations contributed themost to the total emissions.The asphalt storage tankwas the dominant emission source of VOCs,accounting for 96.1%of the total VOCs emissions in asphalt mixing plants,followed by asphalt heating boilers.The districts of Daxing,Changping,and Shunyi were the dominant regions for the emissions of PM,asphalt fume,NMHC,and BaP,while the districts of Shunyi,Tongzhou,and Changping contributed the most emissions of VOCs. | Song Qu Shoubin Fan Gang Wang Wanqing He Kangli Xu Lei Nie Yuncheng Zhao Qingchun Zhu Tingting Li Guohao Li | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,11: | 1 |
| 8 | NIR-Ⅱ responsive Janus nanoparticles amplify immunogenic cell death for enhanced cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Immunotherapy brings new hope for tumor treatment by inducing immunogenic cell death(ICD)of tumor cells.However,insufficient immunogenicity and low immune response rate greatly limit antitumor immunity.Herein,by optimizing the composition and morphology,the rational design of Janus nanoparticles composed of Fe_(3)O_(4) nanospheres and SiO_(2)nanorods was realized for enhanced cancer immunotherapy through amplified ICD.After glucose oxidase(GOx)was loaded by the Janus nanoparticles,the resultant M-FS-GOx consumes glucose at tumor sites to generate gluconic acid and hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))for starvation therapy while the H_(2)O_(2)supply promotes the production of highly toxic·OH to achieve effective chemodynamic therapy(CDT).Under a 1064 nm light irradiation,the photothermal effect of M-FS-GOx enhances the enzyme activity of GOx for improved starvation therapy.Furthermore,both tumor-associated antigens released during the process of ICD and the intrinsic immunoadjuvant property of M-FS-GOx stimulate dendritic cell maturation to activate antitumor immune responses.This work provides a promising strategy for the construction of Janus nanoparticles to achieve enhanced cancer immunotherapy through combination therapy-amplified ICD. | CHEN BeiBei GUO KangLi WANG HaoRan XU Fu-Jian WANG JuLin ZHAO NaNa | 2024 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2024,67,1: | 0 |
| 9 | Kunming mouse strain is less susceptible to elastase-induced abdominal aortic aneurysms显示文摘Background:Porcine pancreatic elastase(PPE)is successfully used to induce abdominal aortic aneurysm(AAA)in mice.However,differences between mouse strains in susceptibility to PPE induction have been reported.Kunming mouse is one of the most frequently used strains in China but whether it is suitable for induction of AAA by PPE application remains unclear.Methods:PPE infusion(1.5 units/ml)in temporary controlled aorta was performed to induce AAAs in both C57BL/6J and Kunming mice.Phosphatebuffered saline(PBS)application was used as vehicle control.The aorta diameters of all mice were measured at days 0 and 14 after surgery to evaluate the AAA formation.Results:After 14 days of PPE or PBS infusion,all mice were sacrificed and aorta tissues were collected for histological staining analysis.At the 14th day after infusion,PPE successfully induced aortic dilation in Kunming mice and typical AAA in C57BL/6J mice.The aorta diameter increased by 0.23 mm in Kunming mice after PPE infusion,while it was 0.72 mm in the C57BL/6J strain.PPE induced mild elastin degradation,smooth muscle cell(SMC)depletion and mural leucocyte infiltration in Kunming mice,but in PPE-sensitive C57BL/6J mice,it induced total loss of SMCs,elastin disappearance and diffused infiltrated leucocytes in aortic aneurysmal segments.The effects of PPE in inducing angiogenesis and upregulating matrix metalloproteinase 2 and 9 expression in Kunming mice were also weaker than that in C57BL/6J mice.Conclusion:At the reported dose of PPE,Kunming mouse is not as susceptible to AAA formation as C57BL/6J mice.The failure of PPE to induce AAA formation in Kunming mice may be associated to its inability to boost a strong inflammatory response. | Haole Liu Kangli Tian Congcong Xia Panpan Wei Boyu Xu Weilai Fu Yankui Li Yafeng Li Liang Bai Rong Wang Weirong Wang Baohui Xu Enqi Liu Sihai Zhao | 2022 | Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2022,5,1: | 0 |

Key breakthrough technology for manufacturing the high-performance multilayer composite is utilized to realize the requirements for folding and compressing during launching, and unfolding on the lunar surface, taking into account the current opposing requirements for launching and the space transportation mission of large equipment.
