1Late Mesozoic extensional tectonics of the Liaodong Peninsula massif:Response of crust to continental lithosphere destruction of the North China Craton显示文摘Unlike most Precambrian cratons that have thick sub-continental lithospheric roots,the Archean lithosphere beneath the North China Craton is thin (reduced from 200 km to about 80 km),and has been replaced by a geochemically juvenile lithospheric mantle.This is a unique regional geological event,which has attracted worldwide attention.In the North China Block,Late Mesozoic extensional tectonics is evident by low-angle detachment faults,syntectonic plutons bounded by ductile faults,metamorphic core complexes (MCC) and widespread Jurassic to Cretaceous half-grabens filled by continental terrigenous deposits and volcanic rocks.At a regional scale,these structures share the same NW-SE extensional direction,while maintaining their own individual kinematics.In other words,the MCC feature a top-to-the-NW sense of shear,and syntectonic plutons are typified by a top-to-the-SE shearing deformations.Geochronological results indicate that the extensional structures were formed between 130-120 Ma.These extensional events lead to magmatic rock emplacement,distributed at the footwall of the detachment faults.Two different exhumation stages can be identified based on regional structural and magmatic interpretation:a Jurassic slow or negligible exhumation and a Cretaceous fast one assisted by normal faulting.These two cooling stages correspond to distinct geodynamic processes that occurred during the Jurassic and Cretaceous.Extensional tectonics appear to have been insignificant before the Early Cretaceous,and the process may be demonstrated by partial melting of the crust.The second stage,dominated by an extensional regime,developed after ca 120 Ma,and is tentatively correlated with crustal extension caused by lithospheric removal of the North China Craton.LIN Wei WANG QingChen WANG Jun WANG Fei CHU Yang CHEN Ke 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,6:24
2Effect of particle size on the microstructure and thermal conductivity of Al/diamond composites prepared by spark plasma sintering显示文摘Spark plasma sintering (SPS) was used to fabricate Al/diamond composites. The influence of diamond particle size on the microstructure and thermal conductivity (TC) of composites was investigated by combining experimental results with model prediction. The results show that both composites with 40 μm particles and 70 μm particles exhibit high density and good TC, and the composite with 70 μm particles indicates an excellent TC of 325 W·m-1·K-1. Their TCs lay between the theoretical estimated bounds. In contrast, the composite with 100 μm particles demonstrates low density as well as poor TC due to its high porosity and weak interfacial bonding. Its TC is even considerably less than the lower bound of the predicted value. 3Effect of powder mixing process on the microstructure and thermal conductivity of Al/diamond composites fabricated by spark plasma sintering显示文摘Two powder mixing processes, mechanical mixing (MM) and mechanical alloying (MA), were used to prepare mixed Al/diamond powders, which were subsequently consolidated using spark plasma sintering (SPS) to produce bulk Al/diamond composites. The effects of the powder mixing process on the morphologies of the mixed powders, the microstructure and the thermal conductivity of the composites were investigated. The results show that the powder mixing process can significantly affect the microstructure and the thermal conductivity of the composites. Agglomerations of the particles occurred in mixed powders using MM for 30 min, which led to high pore content and weak interfacial bonding in the composites and resulted in low relative density and low thermal conductivity for the composites. Mixed powders of homogeneous distribution of diamond particles could be obtained using MA for 10 min and MM for 2 h. The composite prepared through MA indicated a high relative density but low thermal conductivity due to its defects, such as damaged particles, Fe impurity, and local interfacial debonding, which were mainly introduced in the MA process. 4Microstructure and thermal conductivity of copper matrix composites reinforced with mixtures of diamond and SiC particles显示文摘The thermal conductivity of diamond hybrid SiC/Cu,diamond/Cu and SiC/Cu composite were calculated by using the extended differential effective medium (DEM) theoretical model in this paper.The effects of the particle volume fraction,the particle size and the volume ratio of the diamond particles to the total particles on the thermal conductivity of the composite were studied.The DEM theoretical calculation results show that,for the diamond hybrid SiC/Cu composite,when the particle volume fraction is above 46% and the volume ratio of the diamond particles to the SiC particles is above 13:12,the thermal conductivity of the composite can reach 500 W·m-1·K-1.The thermal conduc-tivity of the composite has little change when the particle size is above 200μm.The experimental results show that Ti can improve the wettability of the SiC and Cu.The thermal conductivity of the diamond hybrid SiCTi/Cu is almost two times better than that of the diamond hybrid SiC/Cu.It is feasible to predict the thermal conductivity of the composite by DEM theoretical model.Han, Yuanyuan Guo, Hong Yin, Fazhang Zhang, Ximin Chu, Ke Fan, Yeming 2012Rare Metals2012,31,1:14
5How we can improve patients’comfort after Milligan- Morgan open haemorrhoidectomy显示文摘AIM:To demonstrate the value of Diosmin(flavonidic fraction)in the management of post-haemorhoidectomic symptoms.METHODS:Eighty-six consecutive patients with grades ⅢandⅣacute mixed hemorrhoids admitted to the Anorectal Surgical Department of First Affiliated Hospital,Xinjiang Medical University from April 2009 to April 2010,were enrolled in this study.An observerblinded,randomized trial was conducted to compare post-haemorhoidectomic symptoms with use of Diosmin flavonidic fraction vs placebo.Eighty-six patients were randomly allocated to receive Diosmin flavonidic fraction 500 mg for 1 wk(n=43)or placebo(n=43).The Milligan-Morgan open haemorrhoidectomy was performed by a standardized diathermy excision method.Pain,bleeding,heaviness,pruritus,wound edema and mucosal discharge were observed after surgery.The postoperative symptoms and hospitalization time were recorded.RESULTS:The mean age of the Diosmin group and controls was 53.2 and 51.3 years,respectively.In Diosmin group,haemorrhoid piles were of the third degree in 33 patients and the fourth degree in 10;and in the control group,29 were of the third degree and 14 were of the fourth degree.There was no statistically significance in age,gender distribution,degree and number of excised haemorrhoid piles,and the mean duration of haemorrhoidal disease between the two groups.There was a statistically significant improvement in pain,heaviness,bleeding,pruritus from baseline to the 8th week after operation(P<0.05).Patients taking Diosmin had a shorter hospitalization stay after surgery(P< 0.05).There was also a significant improvement on the proctoscopic appearance(P<0.001).However,there was no statistical difference between the two groups in terms of wound mucosal discharge.Two patients experienced minor bleeding at the 8th week in Diosmin group,and underwent surgery.CONCLUSION:Diosmin is effective in alleviating postoperational symptoms of haemorrhoids.Therefore,it should be considered for the initial treatment after haemorrhoid surgery.However,further prospective randomized trials are needed to confirm the findings of this study.Ma-Mu-Ti-Jiang A ba-bai-ke-re Hong-Guo Huang Wen-Ni Re Kai Fan Hui Chu Er-Ha-Ti Ai Mai-Mai-Ti-Tu-Er-Xun KE Li-Mu Yi-Rui Wang Hao Wen 2011World Journal of Gastroenterology2011,17,11:13

10Time-domain solution for transient dynamic response of a large-diameter thin-walled pipe pile显示文摘The propagation of stress waves in a large-diameter pipe pile for low strain dynamic testing cannot be explained properly by traditional 1D wave theories. A new computational model is established to obtain a wave equation that can describe the dynamic response of a large-diameter thin-walled pipe pile to a transient point load during a low strain integrity test. An analytical solution in the time domain is deduced using the separation of variables and variation of constant methods. The validity of this new solution is verifi ed by an existing analytical solution under free boundary conditions. The results of this time domain solution are also compared with the results of a frequency domain solution and fi eld test data. The comparisons indicate that the new solution agrees well with the results of previous solutions. Parametric studies using the new solution with reference to a case study are also carried out. The results show that the mode number affects the accuracy of the dynamic response. A mode number greater than 10 is required to enable the calculated dynamic responses to be independent of the mode number. The dynamic response is also greatly affected by soil properties. The larger the side resistance, the smaller the displacement response and the smaller the refl ected velocity wave crest. The displacement increases as the stress waves propagate along the pile when the pile shaft is free. The incident waves of displacement and velocity responses of the pile are not the same among different points in the circumferential direction on the pile top. 11Predicted interfacial thermal conductance and thermal conductivity of diamond/Al composites with various interfacial coatings显示文摘The interfacial thermal conductance (ITC) and thermal conductivity (TC) of diamond/Al composites with various coatings were theoretically studied and discussed. A series of predictions and numerical analyses were performed to investigate the effect of thickness, sound velocity, and other parameters of coating layers on the ITC and TC. It is found that both the ITC and TC decline with increasing coating thickness, especially for the coatings with relatively low thermal conductivity. Nevertheless, if the coating thickness is close to zero, or quite a small value, the ITC and TC are mainly determined by the constants of the coating material. Under this condition, coatings such as Ni, TiC, Mo 2 C, SiC, and Si can significantly improve the ITC and TC of diamond/Al composites. By contrast, coatings like Ag will exert the negative effect. 12Effect of processing parameters on the microstructure and thermal conductivity of diamond/Ag composites fabricated by spark plasma sintering显示文摘Diamond/metal composites with 50 vol.% diamond have been produced by spark plasma sintering(SPS) using pure Ag as a matrix and diamond particles as reinforcement.Three kinds of powder mixing processes were used to prepare the mixture of diamond/Ag powders:dry mixing without milling medium,wet mixing and magnetic blending.Subsequently,they were all consolidated by SPS at various processing parameters to produce bulk diamond/Ag composites.Then samples were heat treated in order to obtain a higher thermal conductivity.The effect of processing parameters on the morphologies of the mixed powders,the microstructure and the thermal conductivity of the composites were investigated by comparing the experimental data.It reveals that particles were easy to agglomerate and the distribution of mixed powders was inhomogeneous by dry mixing method,and wet mixing method is too complex.The most favorable mixing process is magnetic blending by which the powders can be homogenously mixed and the composites prepared by optimized SPS processing parameters can obtain the highest relative density and the best thermal conductivity among the composites prepared by different processes.The magnetic blending diamond/Ag composites even have a 23% increase in thermal conductivity compared with pure silver sintered by SPS.GAO Wenjia,JIA Chengchang,JIA Xian,LIANG Xuebing,CHU Ke,ZHANG Luman,HUANG Hai,and LIU Meng School of Materials Science and Engineering,University of Science and Technology Beijing,Beijing 100083,China 2010Rare Metals2010,29,6:6
13Effects of boron on the microstructure and thermal properties of Cu/diamond composites prepared by pressure infiltration显示文摘Diamond reinforced copper(Cu/diamond) composites were prepared by pressure infiltration for their application in thermal management where both high thermal conductivity and low coefficient of thermal expansion(CTE) are important.They were characterized by the microstructure and thermal properties as a function of boron content,which is used for matrix-alloying to increase the interfacial bonding between the diamond and copper.The obtained composites show high thermal conductivity(>660 W/(m·K)) and low CET(<7.4×10-6 K-1) due to the formation of the B13C2 layer at the diamond-copper interface,which greatly strengthens the interfacial bonding.Thermal property measurements indicate that in the Cu-B/diamond composites,the thermal conductivity and the CTE show a different variation trend as a function of boron content,which is attributed to the thickness and distribution of the interfacial carbide layer.The CTE behavior of the present composites can be well described by Kerner's model,especially for the composites with 0.5wt% B.Ye-ming Fan Hong Guo Jun Xu Ke Chu Xue-xin Zhu Cheng-chang Jia 2011International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2011,18,4:6
14Thermal conductivity behavior of SPS consolidated AlN/Al composites for thermal management applications显示文摘AlN/Al composites are a potentially new kind of thermal management material for electronic packaging and heat sink applications.The spark plasma sintering (SPS) technique was used for the first time to prepare the AlN/Al composites,and attention was focused on the effects of sintering parameters on the relative density,microstructure and,in particular,thermal conductivity behavior of the composites.The results showed that the relative density and thermal conductivity of the composites increased with increasing sintering temperature and pressure.The composites sintered at 1550 ℃ for 5 min under 70 MPa showed the maximum relative density and thermal conductivity,corresponding to 99% and 97.5 W m-1 K-1,respectively.However,the thermal conductivity of present AlN/Al composites is still far below the theoretical value.Possible reasons for this deviation were discussed.DUN Bo JIA Xian JIA Chengchang CHU Ke 2011Rare Metals2011,30,2:5
15A Fiber Tractography Study of Social-Emotional Related Fiber Tracts in Children and Adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder显示文摘The symptoms of autism spectrum disorder(ASD) have been hypothesized to be caused by changes in brain connectivity. From the clinical perspective, the‘‘disconnectivity'' hypothesis has been used to explain characteristic impairments in ‘‘socio-emotional'' function.Therefore, in this study we compared the facial emotional recognition(FER) feature and the integrity of socialemotional-related white-matter tracts between children and adolescents with high-functioning ASD(HFA) and their typically developing(TD) counterparts. The correlation between the two factors was explored to find out if impairment of the white-matter tracts is the neural basis of social-emotional disorders. Compared with the TD group,FER was significantly impaired and the fractional anisotropy value of the right cingulate fasciculus was increased in the HFA group(P \ 0.01). 17Influence of MoSi_(2) on oxidation protective ability of TaB_(2)-SiC coating in oxygen-containing environments within a broad temperature range显示文摘TaB_(2)-SiC coating modified by different content of MoSi_(2) was fabricated on graphite substrate with SiC inner coating by liquid phase sintering to elevate the anti-oxidation capability of the TaB_(2)-SiC coatings.As compared to the sample with the TaB_(2)-40wt% SiC coating,the coating sample modified with MoSi_(2) exhibited a weight gain trend at lower temperatures,the fastest weight loss rate went down by 76%,and the relative oxygen permeability value reduced from about 1% to near 0.More importantly,the large amount of SiO_(2) glass phase produced over the coating during oxidation was in contact with the modification of MoSi_(2),which was proved to be beneficial to the dispersion of Ta-oxides.A concomitantly formed continuous Ta-Si-O-B compound glass layer showed excellent capacity to prevent oxygen penetration.However,when the TaB_(2) content was sacrificed to increase the MoSi_(2) content,the relative oxygen permeability of the coating increased instead of decreased.Thus,on the basis of ample TaB_(2) content,increasing the MoSi_(2) content of the coating is conducive to reducing the relative oxygen permeability of the coatings in a broad temperature region.Xuanru REN Junshuai LV Wei LI Yuwen HU Ke SUN Can MA Hong’ao CHU Weiguang WANG Leihua XU Ziyu LI Peizhong FENG 2020Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,6:4
18Toxoplasma gondii GRA15II effector-induced M1 cells ameliorate liver fibrosis in mice infected with Schistosomiasis japonica显示文摘Recent studies indicated that type II Toxoplasma gondii(Tg)GRA15II favored the generation of classically activated macrophages(M1),whereas type I/III TgROP16I/III promoted the polarization of alternatively activated macrophages(M2).A number of studies have demonstrated that M2 cells are involved in the pathogenesis of the liver fibrogenesis caused by Schistosoma japonicum.The purpose of the present study was to explore the inhibitory effect of Toxoplasma-derived TgGRA15II on mouse hepatic fibrosis with schistosomiasis.The gra15II and rop16I/III genes were amplified from strains T.gondii PRU and Chinese 1 Wh3,respectively.Lentiviral vectors containing the gra15II or rop16I/III plasmid were constructed and used to infect the RAW264.7 cell line.The polarization of the transfected cells was evaluated,followed by co-culture of the biased macrophages with mouse hepatic stellate JS1 cells.Then,mice were injected with GRA15II-driven macrophages via the tail vein and infected with S.japonicum cercariae.TgGRA15II induced a M1-biased response,whereas TgROP16I/III drove the macrophages to a M2-like phenotype.The in vitro experiments indicated that JS1 cell proliferation and collagen synthesis were decreased following co-culture with TgGRA15II-activated macrophages.Furthermore,mice inoculated with TgGRA15II-biased macrophages displayed a notable alleviation of collagen deposition and granuloma formation in their liver tissues.Our results suggest that TgGRA15II-induced M1 cells may dampen the M2 dominant pathogenesis of hepatic fibrosis and granulomatosis.These results provide insights into the use of parasite-derived immunomodulators as potential anti-fibrosis agents and to re-balance the schistosomiasis-induced immune response.Yuanyuan Xie Huiqin Wen Ke Yan Shushu Wang Xuesong Wang Jian Chen Yuanling Li Yuanhong Xu Zhengrong Zhong Jilong Shen Deyong Chu 2018Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,2:4
