1Application of machine learning and artificial intelligence in oil and gas industry显示文摘Oil and gas industries are facing several challenges and issues in data processing and handling.Large amount of data bank is generated with various techniques and processes.The proper technical analysis of this database is to be carried out to improve performance of oil and gas industries.This paper provides a comprehensive state-of-art review in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence to solve oil and gas industry problems.It also narrates the various types of machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques which can be used for data processing and interpretation in different sectors of upstream oil and gas industries.The achievements and developments promise the benefits of machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques towards large data storage capabilities and high efficiency of numerical calculations.In this paper a summary of various researchers work on machine learning and artificial intelligence applications and limitations is showcased for upstream and sectors of oil and gas industry.The existence of this extensive intelligent system could really eliminate the risk factor and cost of maintenance.The development and progress using this emerging technologies have become smart and makes the judgement procedure easy and straightforward.The study is useful to access intelligence of different machine learning methods to declare its application for distinct task in oil and gas sector.Anirbid Sircar Kriti Yadav Kamakshi Rayavarapu Namrata Bist Hemangi Oza 2021Petroleum Research2021,6,4:3
2Prediction of mortality among patients with chronic kidney disease:A systematic review显示文摘BACKGROUND Chronic kidney disease(CKD)is a common medical condition that is increasing in prevalence.Existing published evidence has revealed through regression analyses that several clinical characteristics are associated with mortality in CKD patients.However,the predictive accuracies of these risk factors for mortality have not been clearly demonstrated.AIM To demonstrate the accuracy of mortality predictive factors in CKD patients by utilizing the area under the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve(AUC)analysis.METHODS We searched Ovid MEDLINE,EMBASE,and the Cochrane Library for eligible articles through January 2021.Studies were included based on the following criteria:(1)Study nature was observational or conference abstract;(2)Study populations involved patients with non-transplant CKD at any CKD stage severity;and(3)Predictive factors for mortality were presented with AUC analysis and its associated 95%confidence interval(CI).AUC of 0.70-0.79 is considered acceptable,0.80-0.89 is considered excellent,and more than 0.90 is considered outstanding.RESULTS Of 1759 citations,a total of 18 studies(n=14579)were included in this systematic review.Eight hundred thirty two patients had non-dialysis CKD,and 13747 patients had dialysis-dependent CKD(2160 patients on hemodialysis,370 patients on peritoneal dialysis,and 11217 patients on non-differentiated dialysis modality).Of 24 mortality predictive factors,none were deemed outstanding for mortality prediction.A total of seven predictive factors[N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP),BNP,soluble urokinase plasminogen activator receptor(suPAR),augmentation index,left atrial reservoir strain,C-reactive protein,and systolic pulmonary artery pressure]were identified as excellent.Seventeen predictive factors were in the acceptable range,which we classified into the following subgroups:predictors for the non-dialysis population,echocardiographic factors,comorbidities,and miscellaneous.CONCLUSION Several factors were found to predict mortality in CKD patients.Echocardiography is an important tool for mortality prognostication in CKD patients by evaluating left atrial reservoir strain,systolic pulmonary artery pressure,diastolic function,and left ventricular mass index.Panupong Hansrivijit Yi-Ju Chen Kriti Lnu Angkawipa Trongtorsak Max M Puthenpura Charat Thongprayoon Tarun Bathini Michael A Mao Wisit Cheungpasitporn 2021World Journal of Nephrology2021,10,4:2
3Lipid-polymer hybrid nanoparticles: Development & statistical optimization of norfloxacin for topical drug delivery system显示文摘Poly lactic acid is a biodegradable, biocompatible, and non-toxic polymer, widely used in many pharmaceuticalpreparations such as controlled release formulations, parenteral preparations, surgicaltreatment applications, and tissue engineering. In this study, we prepared lipid-polymer hybrid nanoparticlesfor topical and site targeting delivery of Norfloxacin by emulsification solvent evaporationmethod (ESE). The design of experiment (DOE) was done by using software to optimize the result, andthen a surface plot was generated to compare with the practical results. The surface morphology, particlesize, zeta potential and composition of the lipid-polymer hybrid nanoparticles were characterized bySEM, TEM, AFM, and FTIR. The thermal behavior of the lipid-polymer hybrid nanoparticles was characterizedby DSC and TGA. The prepared lipid-polymer hybrid nanoparticles of Norfloxacin exhibited anaverage particle size from 178.6 ± 3.7 nm to 220.8 ± 2.3 nm, and showed very narrow distribution withpolydispersity index ranging from 0.206 ± 0.36 to 0.383 ± 0.66. The surface charge on the lipid-polymerhybrid nanoparticles were confirmed by zeta potential, showed the value from t23.4 ± 1.5 mVto t41.5 ± 3.4 mV. An Antimicrobial study was done against Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonasaeruginosa, and the lipid-polymer hybrid nanoparticles showed potential activity against these two.Lipid-polymer hybrid nanoparticles of Norfloxacin showed the %cumulative drug release of 89.72% in24 h. A stability study of the optimized formulation showed the suitable condition for the storage oflipid-polymer hybrid nanoparticles was at 4 ± 2 C/60 ± 5% RH. 18Novel electrospun poly-hydroxybutyrate scaffolds as carriers for the wound healing agents alkannins and shikonins显示文摘The aim of this study was to investigate the potential of novel electrospun fiber mats loaded with alkannin and shikonin(A/S)derivatives,using as carrier a highly biocompatible,bio-derived,ecofriendly polymer such as poly[(R)-3-hydroxybutyric acid](PHB).PHB fibers containing a mixture of A/S derivatives at different ratios were successfully fabricated via electrospinning.As evidenced by scanning electron microscopy,the fibers formed a bead-free mesh with average diameters from 1.25 to 1.47 lm.Spectroscopic measurements suggest that electrospinning marginally increases the amorphous content of the predominantly crystalline PHB in the fibers,while a significant drug amount lies near the fiber surface for samples of high total A/S content.All scaffolds displayed satisfactory characteristics,with the lower concentrations of A/S mixture-loaded PHB fiber mats achieving higher porosity,water uptake ratios,and entrapment efficiencies.The in vitro dissolution studies revealed that all samples released more than 70%of the encapsulated drug after 72 h.All PHB scaffolds tested by cell viability assay were proven non-toxic for Hs27 fibroblasts,with the 0.15 wt.%sample favoring cell attachment,spreading onto the scaffold surface,as well as cell proliferation.Finally,the antimicrobial activity of PHB meshes loaded with A/S mixture was documented for Staphylococcus epidermidis and S.aureus.Athanasios S.Arampatzis Konstantina Giannakoula Konstantinos N.Kontogiannopoulos Konstantinos Theodoridis Eleni Aggelidou Angelique Rat Elli Kampasakali Anne Willems Dimitrios Christofilos Aristeidis Kritis Vassilios P.Papageorgiou Ioannis Tsivintzelis Andreana N.Assimopoulou 2021Regenerative Biomaterials2021,8,3:1
