1Corrected empirical likelihood for a class of generalized linear measurement error models显示文摘Generalized linear measurement error models, such as Gaussian regression, Poisson regression and logistic regression, are considered. To eliminate the effects of measurement error on parameter estimation, a corrected empirical likelihood method is proposed to make statistical inference for a class of generalized linear measurement error models based on the moment identities of the corrected score function. The asymptotic distribution of the empirical log-likelihood ratio for the regression parameter is proved to be a Chi-squared distribution under some regularity conditions. The corresponding maximum empirical likelihood estimator of the regression parameter π is derived, and the asymptotic normality is shown. Furthermore, we consider the construction of the confidence intervals for one component of the regression parameter by using the partial profile empirical likelihood. Simulation studies are conducted to assess the finite sample performance. 2Mesoporous silica decorated with platinum nanoparticles for drug delivery and synergistic electrodynamic-chemotherapy显示文摘Electrodynamic therapy(EDT)is a conceptually new cancer treatment approach recently proposed by our group.During EDT,the electro-driven catalytic reaction would occur on the surface of platinum nanoparticles(PtNPs)to produce reactive oxygen species(ROS)under the direct current(DC)or square-wave alternating current(AC)electric field.To further extend the potential of EDT,we hereby designed mesoporous silica-based nanocomposites decorated with PtNPs and loaded with anticancer drug doxorubicin(DOX)for synergistic electrodynamic-chemotherapy.Such silica-based nanocomposites could enable homogenous killing of large-sized tumors(over 500 mm^3)and realize remarkable tumor destruction efficacy at a relatively low quantity of electricity.To our best knowledge,this is the first study to combine EDT and chemotherapy to develop a synergetic nanoplatform,openning a new dimension for the design of other EDT-based anticancer strategies.Tongxu Gu Tong Chen Liang Cheng Xiang Li Gaorong Han Zhuang Liu 2020Nano Research2020,13,8:4

8Platinum-copper alloy nanoparticles armored with chloride ion transporter to promote electro-driven tumor inhibition显示文摘The induction of oxidative species,driven by oscillating electric field(E),has recently emerged as an effective approach for tumor inhibition,so-called electrodynamic therapy(EDT).While it offers a series of advantages attracting considerable attention,the fundamental mechanism and improvement strategies for EDT approach are being endeavored extensively with the aid of new material explorations.An interesting phenomenon observed in early studies is that the on-site concentration of chloride ion is highly favored for the induction of oxidative species and the efficacy of tumor inhibition.Following this discovery ignored previously,here for the first time,fine Pt/Cu alloy nanoparticles(PtCu_(3) NPs)are integrated with chloride ion transporter(CIT)for EDT-based combinational therapy.In this system,while PtCu_(3) NPs induce oxidative species under an electric field,it also effectively transforms endogenous H_(2)O_(2) into·OH and consumes intracellular glutathione(GSH).More importantly,with the aid of CIT,PtCu_(3)-PEG@CIT NPs promote the intracellular concentration of chloride ion(Cl^(-))by transporting extracellular Cl^(-),facilitating the generation of oxidative species considerably.Meanwhile,CIT delivered intracellularly increases lysosomal pH,leading to the disruption of cellular autophagy and weakening the treatment resistance.In consequence,significant tumor inhibition is enabled both in vitro and in vivo,due to the combination of unique characteristics offered by PtCu_(3)-PEG@CIT.Tong Chen Gaorong Han Xiang Li 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,6:1

15Sequential profile Lasso for ultra-high-dimensional partially linear models显示文摘In this paper, we study ultra-high-dimensional partially linear models when the dimension of thelinear predictors grows exponentially with the sample size. For the variable screening, we proposea sequential profile Lasso method (SPLasso) and show that it possesses the screening property.SPLasso can also detect all relevant predictors with probability tending to one, no matter whetherthe ultra-high models involve both parametric and nonparametric parts. To select the best subset among the models generated by SPLasso, we propose an extended Bayesian information criterion (EBIC) for choosing the final model. 16Surface energy-driven solution epitaxial growth of anatase TiO2 homostructures for overall water splitting显示文摘Titanium dioxide(TiO2)has been extensively investigated as a photocatalyst for water splitting to produce H2.However,an overall water splitting by using anatase TiO2 is extremely difficult due to the short lifetime of holes.In this work,we propose that a surface energy decrease from{001}to{101}of anatase TiO2 is able to drive an epitaxial growth.A novel anatase TiO2 homostructure has been successfully synthesized via a facile hydrothermal route,where{101}semi-pyramid nanoparticles epitaxially grew on the both sides of the{001}nanosheets.The epitaxial relationship between the nanoparticles and the nanosheets has been characterized to be{001}//{001}of anatase TiO2.For the first time,it is interesting to find that the homostructure with 12 wt%of{101}semi-pyramid can significantly improve the H2 evolution rate by nearly 5 times compared to the pure nanosheets under the ultraviolet irradiation.More importantly,such homostructure enables 10.78μmol g-1h-1 of O2 production whereas the pure nanosheets cannot evolve detectable O2 gas.Meanwhile,the time-resolved photoluminescence analysis indicates that the mean lifetime of the holes is increased from 2.20 ns of the nanosheets to 3.59 ns of the homostructure,accounting for the observed overall water splitting.The findings suggest that constructing a homostructure by a surface energy strategy could be promising towards overall water splitting,which may be applicable to other photocatalytic materials.Shi Li Luoyuan Ruan Shanpeng Wang Zhiyu Wang Zhaohui Ren Gaorong Han 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,42,11:0
17CaCO_(3)-MnSiO_(x)hybrid particles to enable CO_(2)-mediated combinational tumor therapy显示文摘Nanocatalysts mediated reactive oxygen species(ROS)based therapy has been exploited as an alternative therapeutic modality of tumor with high specificity and minimal side effects.However,the treatment outcome is limited by the efficiency of local catalytic reaction.Herein,we report a novel type of core–shell hybrid nanoparticles(CaCO_(3)@MS),consisting of CaCO_(3)and MnSiO_(x),for synergistic tumor inhibition combining enhanced catalytic effect and calcium overload.In this system,MnSiO_(x)serves as catalysts with glutathione(GSH)responsive Mn^(2+)ions release functionality.CaCO_(3)nanoparticles play three important roles,including carbon dioxide(CO_(2))donor,pH modulator,and Ca^(2+)overload agent.It is found that the CaCO_(3)nanoparticles can induce CO_(2)production and pH increase in acidic tumor environment,both of which promote Mn^(2+)mediated ROS generation.And simultaneous release of Ca^(2+)ions from CaCO_(3)triggers calcium overload in tumor,which functions collaboratively with excessive ROS to induce cancer cell apoptosis.The results demonstrate that after treatment with CaCO_(3)@MS,a remarkable tumor inhibition was achieved both in vitro and in vivo,while no clear toxic effect was observed.This study has therefore provided a feasible effective approach to improve catalytic therapeutic efficacy by an“exogenous CO_(2)delivery”strategy for combinational tumor therapy.Congkun Xie Tian Zhang Yike Fu Gaorong Han Xiang Li 2022Nano Research2022,15,9:0
18ATP-responsive hollow nanocapsules for DOX/GOx delivery to enable tumor inhibition with suppressed P-glycoprotein显示文摘Multidrug resistance(MDR)restricts chemotherapy efficacy due to P-glycoprotein(P-gp)mediated drug efflux,whereas current approaches to suppressing P-gp expression suffer from intrinsic challenges,such as low transfection,high toxicity and poor specificity.Here,hollow ferric-tannic acid complex nanocapsules(HFe-TA),which can be effectively degraded by the reaction with adenosine triphosphate(ATP),are synthesized for the delivery of glucose oxidase(GOx)and doxorubicin(DOX)for tumor treatment.The findings indicate that the intracellular ATP is significantly decreased due to the combined effect of HFe-TA degradation and GOx-mediated glucose consumption.Along with this ATP down-regulation,P-gp expression of tumor cells is suppressed remarkably,which in turn promotes the intracellular accumulation and anticancer efficacy of DOX.In addition,the production of•OH by Fe ions released from HFe-TA is promoted by the by-products of the oxidation of glucose process by GOx.In consequence,HFe-TA nanocapsules loaded with DOX and GOx enable significant inhibition effect to tumors both in vitro and in vivo due to the synergistic effect of cascade reactions.This study has therefore provided an alternative therapeutic platform for effective tumor inhibition with the potential in overcoming intrinsic MDR.Huimin Zhu Guodong Cao Yike Fu Chao Fang Qiang Chu Xiang Li Yulian Wu Gaorong Han 2021Nano Research2021,14,1:0
