1Geothermal data analysis at the high-temperature hydrothermal area in Western Sichuan显示文摘The western Sichuan hydrothermal area is located at the northeastern margin of the eastern syntaxis of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, which is also the eastern end of the Mediterranean-Himalayan geothermal activity zone. There are 248 warm or hot springs in this area, and 11 have temperatures beyond the local boiling temperature. Most of these hot springs are distributed along the Jinshajiang, Dege-Xiangcheng, Ganzi-Litang, and Xianshuihe faults, forming a NW-SE hydrothermal belt. A geothermal analysis of this high-temperature hydrothermal area is an important basis for understanding the deep geodynamic process of the eastern syntaxis of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. In addition, this study offers an a priori view to utilize geothermal resources, which is important in both scientific research and application. We use gravity, magnetic, seismic, and helium isotope data to analyze the crust-mantle heat flow ratio and deep geothermal structure. The results show that the background terrestrial heat flow descends from southwest to northeast. The crustal heat ratio is not more than 60%. The high temperature hydrothermal active is related to crustal dynamics processes. Along the Batang-Litang-Kangding line, the Moho depth increases eastward, which is consistent with the changing Qc/Qm(crustal/mantle heat flow) ratio trend. The geoid in the hydrothermal zone is 4–6 km higher than the surroundings, forming a local 'platform'. The NW-SE striking local tensile stress zone and uplift structure in the upper and middle crust corresponds with the surface hydrothermal active zone. There is an average Curie Point Depth(CPD) of 19.5–22.5 km in Batang, Litang, and Kangding. The local shear-wave(S-wave) velocity is relatively low in the middle and lower crust. The S-wave shows a low velocity trap(Vs<3.2 km s.1) at 15–30 km, which is considered a high-temperature partial melting magma, the crustal source of the hydrothermal active zone. We conclude that the hydrothermal system in this area can be divided into Batang-type and Kangding-type, both of which rely on a crustal heating cycle of atmospheric precipitation and surface water along the fracture zone. 2The mechanism of nucleation of hydrogen blister in metals显示文摘The nucleating, growing and cracking of hydrogen blister have been investigated experimentally and theoretically. The results show that atomic hydrogen induces superabundant vacancies in metals. The superabundant vacancies and hydrogen aggregate into a hydrogen-vacancy cluster (microcavity). The hydrogen atoms in the microcavity become hydrogen molecules which can stabilize the cluster. And the hydrogen blister nucleates. With the entry of vacancies and hydrogen atoms, the blister nucleus grows and the pressure in the cavity increases. 4Benefits Analysis of Beam Hopping in Satellite Mobile System with Unevenly Distributed Traffic显示文摘Satellite mobile system and space-airground integrated network have a prominent superiority in global coverage which plays a critical role in remote and non-land regions, as well as emergency communications. However, due to the gradual angle attenuations of the satellite antennas, it is difficult to achieve full frequency multiplex among different beams as terrestrial 5G network. Multi-color frequency reuse is widely adopted in both academic and industry. Beam hopping scheme has attracted the attention of researchers recently due to the allocation flexibility. In this paper, we focus on analyzing the performance benefits of beam hopping compared with multi-color frequency reuse scheme in non-uniform user and traffic distributions in satellite system. Aerial networks are also introduced to form a space-airground integrated network for coverage enhancement,and the capacity improvement is analyzed. Besides,additional improved techniques are provided to make comprehensive analysis and comparisons. 6Three-dimensional molecular dynamics simulation of hydrogen-enhanced dislocation emission and crack propagation显示文摘A three-dimensional molecular dynamics simulation using the embedded atom method (EAM) potentials shows that for both pure Ni and Ni+H, dislocations are firstly emitted during loading and the crack propagates after enough disloca tions are emitted. In the case of hydrogen embrittlement, local plastic deformat ion is a precondition for crack propagation. For the crack along the (1 11) slip pla ne, one atom fraction in percent of hydrogen can decrease the critical stress in tensity for dislocation emission KIe from 0.42 to 0.36 MPam 1/2, and that for crack propagation KIp from 0.80 to 0.76 MPam1/2. 10Magnetization-Enhanced Dislocation Motion and Decreased Yield Strength of 60Fe40Ni Alloy显示文摘Using a special constant deflection device, the changes in dislocation configuration ahead of a loaded crack tip for 60Fe40Ni alloy. before and after magnetization in a magnetic field, have been studied in TEM. The results showed that the magnetization for 60Fe40Ni alloy could enhance dislocation emission, multiplication and motion. Also, the mechanical properties of 60Fe40Ni alloy, in air and in the magnetic field respectively have been investigated using the slow strain rate tension. 12Molecular Dynamics Simulation and Experimental Proof of Hydrogen-enhanced Dislocation Emission in Nickel显示文摘A quasi three dimensions molecular dynamic method was used to simulate the effect of hydrogen on dislocation emission and crack propagation in nickel. In situ observation in a transmission electron microscope (TEM) was used to confirm the simulation results. The simulation result indicated that hydrogen solubilized in nickel decreased the critical stress intensity for the dislocation emission, i.e., hydrogen enhanced dislocation emission. 13Geological Controls on High Production of Tight Sandstone Gas in Linxing Block, Eastern Ordos Basin, China显示文摘Tight sandstone gas in the Linxing Block, eastern Ordos Basin, has been successfully exploited. The high performance is mainly a result of the special geological conditions. The key geological controls for high production have been discussed on the basis of seismic data, field observation, sample features, mercury porosimetry, mechanical properties, and basin modeling. Firstly, the coal measures have good gas generation potential, not only because of the existence of coalbeds and organic-rich shales, but also because coal laminae and microbial mats in the shales significantly increase their total organic carbon(TOC) contents. Secondly, except for the uplifted zone of the Zijinshan complex and the eastern fault zone, rare large faults develop in the Carboniferous–Permian sequence, ensuing the sealing capacity of cap rock. Small fractures generally concentrated in the sandstones rather than the mudstones. Thirdly, gas accumulation in the Linxing Block was controlled by the tectonic, burial and thermal histories. Gas accumulation in the Linxing Block started in the Late Triassic, followed by three short pauses of thermal maturation caused by relatively small uplifts;the maximum hydrocarbon generation period is the Early Cetaceous as a combined result of regional and magmatic thermal metamorphisms. Field profiles show abundant fractures in sandstone beds but rare fractures in mudstone beds. Mechanical properties, determined by lithostratigraphy, confine the fractures in the sandstones, increasing the permeability of sandstone reservoirs and retaining the sealing capacity of the mudstone cap rocks. The modern ground stress conditions favor the opening of predominant natural fractures in the NNW-SSE and N-S directions. 15How does Cellular Heparan Sulfate Function in Viral Pathogenicity?显示文摘Heparan sulfate (HS) is ubiquitously expressed on the surfaces and in the extracellular matrix of virtually all cell types, making it an ideal receptor for viral infection. Compared with wild‐type viruses, cell culture‐adapted laboratory strains exhibit more efficient binding to cellular HS receptors. HS‐binding viruses are typically cleared faster from the circulation and cause lower viremia than their non‐HS‐binding counterparts, suggesting that the HS‐binding phenotype is a tissue culture adaptation that lowers virus fitness in vivo. However, when inoculated intracranially, efficient cell attachment through HS binding can contribute to viral neurovirulence. The primary aim of this review is to discuss the roles of HS binding in viral pathogenicity, including peripheral virulence and neurovirulence. 16Hydrogen-Induced Cracking of Two-Phase Alloy of Ni3Al+NiAl显示文摘Hydrogen-induced cracking (HIC) of two-phase alloy of Ni3Al+NiAl was in situ investigated using a WOL (wedgeopening-loading) constant deflection specimen in an optical microscopy and using a notched tensile specimen in scan-ning electron microscopy (SEM). Results showed that the threshold stress intensity of HIC was KIH=15.7 MPa.m1/2,and (da/dt)Ⅱ=0.019 mm/h. 17Deep Domain Decomposition Methods:Helmholtz Equation显示文摘This paper proposes a deep-learning-based Robin-Robin domain decomposition method(DeepDDM)for Helmholtz equations.We first present the plane wave activation-based neural network(PWNN),which is more efficient for solving Helmholtz equations with constant coefficients and wavenumber k than finite difference methods(FDM).On this basis,we use PWNN to discretize the subproblems divided by domain decomposition methods(DDM),which is the main idea of DeepDDM.This paper will investigate the number of iterations of using DeepDDM for continuous and discontinuous Helmholtz equations.The results demonstrate that:DeepDDM exhibits behaviors consistent with conventional robust FDM-based domain decomposition method(FDM-DDM)under the same Robin parameters,i.e.,the number of iterations by DeepDDM is almost the same as that of FDM-DDM.By choosing suitable Robin parameters on different subdomains,the convergence rate is almost constant with the rise of wavenumber in both continuous and discontinuous cases.The performance of DeepDDM on Helmholtz equations may provide new insights for improving the PDE solver by deep learning.Wuyang Li Ziming Wang Tao Cui Yingxiang Xu Xueshuang Xiang 2023Advances in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics2023,15,1:0
18A New Method for Fractal Dimension Determination by STM at Nanometer Scale显示文摘A new method for determining the fractal dimension by STM at nanomeler scale has been proposed.Widerstrass- Mandelbrot fractal curves were used to verify the accuracy and reliability. The Computer simulation showed that fractal dimen- sion obtained with this method generally outran the traditional yard method. The new method has been applied to the fractal dimension determination of the fractures of Ti3Al and Ti-24Al-11Nb alloys. 19Asset Smoothing and Consumption Smoothing:Disaster-coping Strategies in Noncontiguous and Contiguous DestituteAreas显示文摘Do households sell assets in order to smooth consumption?The empirical evidence is mixed.Using household-and village-level data in the context of China's poverty alleviation policy,we analyze the relationship between climate shocks and household coping behaviors from the perspective of whether coping strategies to deal with weather shocks are sensitive to the contiguity of destitute areas.Our results indicate that,unlike households living in noncontiguous destitute areas,households struck by weather shocks in contiguous destitute areas tended not to reduce or liquidate assets.To overcome weather shocks,households in contiguous destitute areas instead reduced household consumption,such as food consumption and increased nonfarm working hours.Our findings point to the possibility that the implicit assumption of consumption smoothing coupled with a failure to incorporate explicitly the factor of contiguous regions has led to seemingly divergent findings in the literature regarding consumption smoothing.Li Zhou Jie Sun Wuyang Hu Yu Zhang 2023China & World Economy2023,31,2:0
20TEM Study of Microcrack Nucleation and Propagation for 310 Stainless Steel显示文摘TEM in situ tensile tests of 310 stainless steel show that a dislocation free zone (DFZ) forms if the displacement keeps constant after dislocations are emitted from a crack tip. The elastic DFZ is gradually thinned and the stress in the DFZ will reach the cohesive strength, resulting in nucleation of nanocracks in it and their bluntness into voids. If continuously tensioning, the inhomogeneously thinning ahead of the crack tip, initiating and connecting of microcracks or microvoids will be observed rather than a DFZ, nanocracks’ initiation and bluntness into voids.
