1A Modified Co-precipitation Method to Prepare Cu/ZnO/Al2O3 Catalyst and Its Application in Low Temperature Water-gas Shift(LT-WGS)Reaction显示文摘A modified co-precipitation method for the production of Cu/ZnO/Al_2O_3 complex was studied. The modification was that part of Al was introduced by adding Al^(3+) into Cu^(2+)/Zn^(2+) solution, and the rest of Al was added after co-precipitation step in the form of pseudo-boehmite. The prepared samples were characterized by different techniques such as X-ray diffraction, N_2 adsorption, H_2-N_2O titration, temperature programmed reduction and scanning electron microscopy. X-ray diffraction characterizations revealed that Al^(3+) can be doped in aurichalcite lattice, and the maximum doping amount of Al^(3+) was 5.0% of total Cu and Zn atoms. The Cu/ZnO/Al_2O_3 sample produced by the modified method, in which co-precipitated Al^(3+) was 2.5% of total Cu and Zn atoms showed much better activity and stability in water-gas shift reaction than commercial sample. The high Cu surface area(26.1 m^2/g) obtained by decompositon of doped aurichalcite is believed to be responsible for the activity enhancement. 2Influence of V/P Ratio on the Catalytic Performance of VPO/SiO_2 Catalysts for Ammoxidation of Chloro-Substituted Toluenes显示文摘A series of vanadium phosphate oxide(VPO) catalysts supported on silica(VPO/Si O2) with various mole ratios of V/P(nV:nP=1:0.8-1:3) were prepared through impregnation method. The catalytic activity was evaluated by ammoxidation reactions of several kinds of chloro-substituted toluenes(CT) in a fixed-bed reactor. The catalyst presented the best performance when nV:nP is 1:1.6. The prepared catalysts were characterized by N2 adsorption, hydrogen temperature programmed reduction(TPR) and ammonia temperature programmed desorption(TPD) and etc. The results reveal that P can decrease the bonding energy of V=O and increase the mobility of lattice oxygen which was beneficial for the improvement of the catalysts, while too much P can greatly decrease the average oxidation number of V which leads to deactivation of the catalysts. The surface acidity of the VPO/Si O2 catalysts is affected by nV:nP and the catalyst had the highest surface acidity when nV:nP is 1:1.6. 3Efficient water disinfection with ball milled Mg-biochar: The key role of trace Cu显示文摘In this study, magnesium and coconut shell carbon (CSC) were prepared by a ball milled process and used for water disinfection with adsorbing tiny amounts of copper(II). Dissolved oxygen (DO) was reduced to hydrogen peroxide (H_(2)O_(2)) via a two-electron pathway by Mg corrosion. Cu(II) in the wastewater will be enriched on the CSC surface and efficiently catalyzes H2O2 for inactivating E. coli. The results show that E. coli with an initial concentration of approximately 106 CFU/mL was under the detection limit (<4 CFU/mL) within 15 min. All of the Cu(II) could be adsorbed by the composite and catalyzed H2O2 to different active species. The quenching experiments, electron spin resonance (ESR) capture measurements and the UV-vis spectroscopy detection confirmed the present of the hydroxyl radicals (·OH), superoxide radicals (·O_(2)^(-)) and Cu(III). Different with tradition Fenton like process, Cu(III), rather than radicals, played the major role during the Mg-CSC/Cu(II) process. In addition to the cellular membrane damage, most of the bacterial genomic DNA was also be degraded and the bacterial reactivation was avoided. The Mg-CSC/Cu(II) process also showed a satisfied disinfection performance in real wastewater treatment.
