1Studies on hybridization effects of different geographic populations of Chlamys farreri Ⅱ.The medium-term growth and development of Chlamys farreri populations from China and Russia and their reciprocal crosses显示文摘Based on the research of juvenile (2,3,4months)growth and survival of three populations of two different geographic areas in Chlamys farreri from Russian and China and their F1 hybrids dervied from Chinese cultural population(CC)♀×Russian population(RW)♂,Chinese wild population(CW)♀×Russian population(RW)♂,Russian population(RW)♀×Chinese wild pupulation(CW)♂× Russian population(RW)♂,Russian population(RW)♀×Chinese wild population(CW)♂,the study of the medium-term(6,8,10,12months)growth and development of Chlamys farreri was carried out,The fout determined results indicated that there existed different extent heterosis (3%-52%) for the growth in three types of F1 hybrids,and the offspring derived from CC♀×R♂had a stronger heterosis among the crosses at the medium-term;the uptrend among traits are wet weight>shell width>shell length.shell height.Chinese cultural population could be recognized as excellent parent,and seasonal variations influence very much on the daily increment and growth rate of each trait of Chlamys farreri and it is only able to survive and could barely grow in winter(6-8 months),but grows fast in temperate season(10-12 months).LiuXiaolin ChangYaqing XiangJianhai LiFuhua LiuXianjie BrovkinaElenaPavlovna 2003Acta Oceanologica Sinica2003,22,2:12
2Quantitative traits correlative analysis and growth comparison among different populations of bay scallop,Argopecten irradians显示文摘The shell traits and weight traits are measured in cultured populations of bay scallop, Argopecten irradians. The results of regression analysis show that the regression relationships for all the traits are significant (P<0.01). The correlative coefficients between body weight, as well as tissue weight with shell length, shell height and shell width are significant (P < 0.05). But the correlative coefficients between the anterior and posterior auricle length with body weight as well as tissue weight are not significant (P>0.05). The multiple regression equation is obtained to estimate live body weight and tissue weight. The above traits except anterior and posterior auricle length are used for the growth and production comparison among three cultured populations, Duncan's new multiple range procedure analysis shows that all the traits in the Lingshuiqiao (LSQ) population are much more significant than those of the other two populations (P<0.01), and there is no significant diffei'ence between the Qipanmo (QPM) and Dalijia (DLJ) populations in all traits (P>0.05). 3Fermentation of xylose to produce ethanol by recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain containing XYLA and XKS1显示文摘Fermentation of the pentose sugar xylose to produce ethanol using lignocellulosic biomass would make bioethanol production economically more competitive. Sac- charomyce cerevisise, an efficient ethanol producer, cannot utilize xylose because it lacks the ability to convert xylose to its isomer xylulose. In this study, XYLA gene encoding xylose isomerase (XI) from Thermoanaerobacter tengcongensis MB4T and XKS1 gene encoding xylulokinase (XK) from Pichia stipitis were cloned and functionally coexpressed in Saccharomyces cerevisiae EF-326 to construct a recombinant xylose-utilizing strain. The resulting strain S. cerevisiae EF 1014 not only grew on xylose as sole carbon source, but also produced ethanol under anaerobic conditions. Fermentations performed with different xylose concentrations at different temperatures demonstrated that the highest ethanol produc- tivity was 0.11 g/g xylose when xylose concentration was pro- vided at 50 g/L. Under this condition, 28.4% of xylose was consumed and 1.54 g/L xylitol was formed. 6Preparation and Characterization of Gd203:Eu^3+ Sol-Gel Thin Films for X-Ray Imaging显示文摘With the pretreatment of pyrolysis, the uni-form, smooth, dense and crack free Gd203:Eu^3+ films were obtained by sol-gel process without shielding at mosphere. Atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Ellipsometry, transmission, photoluminescence and X-ray excited emission were applied to study to the surface morphology, structure,thickness and optical properties of the films. The resuits show that the films are made up of grains with cubic structure in average size about 22 nm. With 21 times reproducible spin coating and pyrolysis treatment, the thickness of the film could reach to 792 nm and the transmittance of the film in visible region is above 90%. Two peaks at 223 and 250 nm are found in excitation spectra, which correspond to host lattice(HL) excitation and charge transfer (CT) excitation,respectively. Meanwhile, the main peak relates to HLexcitation which is contrary to that of Gd203:Eu^3+ powder. This phenomenon will be beneficial to radioluminescence. The emission spectra show that the main peak located at 611 nm could be excited either by UV or X-ray, which correspond to ^7F2→5D0 transition in Eu3 + ions. The luminescence intensity at 10 ms is only 10^-4 time of that at 10 tLs, which means that the afterglow in Gd203:Eu^3+ films is insignificant for X-ray imaging.QiuLongqing LiuXiaolin GuMu ZhangRuit XuXin 2004Journal of Rare Earths2004,22,5:0
