| 1 | Synthesis and characteristics of a novel artificial hapten using the copper mercaptide of penicillenic acid from penicillin G for immunoassay of heavy metal ions显示文摘In this paper, we describe the synthesis of a novel copper ion hapten using the copper mercaptide of penicillenic acid (CMPA) derived from penicillin. Results from tests with immune rabbits indicate that: (i) A new antigen synthesized with CMPA has good stability and is safe for immunizing animals with no toxic phenomena being found in animal experiments; (ii) the immunogenic antigen (CMPA-BSA) can stimulate the immune system to produce specific antibodies with high titrations, up to 150000; and (iii) antibodies in antisera showed higher affinity to OVA-GSH-CuCl than OVA-GSH, which indicates that the antibodies have specific affinity towards copper ions. | 8 | Antimalarial effect of agmatine on Plasmodium berghei K173 strain显示文摘AIM: To study the antimalarial effect of agmatine (Agm) on chloroquine-susceptible Plasmodium berghei K173strain (S strain) and the P berghei K173 resistant strain (R strain). METHODS: The antimalarial effects of Agm onP berghei K173 S strain and R strain were evaluated by Peters 4-d suppression test in mice. RESULTS: Agm(12.5-200 mg/kg,ig,daily) decreased the parasitemia for both P berghei K173 S strain (IC50=139 mg/kg) and Rstrain (IC50=126mg/kg) in mice. Subcutaneous injection (sc) of Agm (5-40mg/kg,tid) showed relatively strongerantimalarial effect than intragastric gavage (IC50=30 mg/kg) in P berghei K 173 S strain. Spermidine antagonized theantimalarial effect of Agm for P berghei K173 S strain and R strain. Agm did not reverse the chloroquine resistanceof P berghei K173 S strain, dl-α-Difluoromethylornithine (DFMO, sc) decreased the parasitemia of P BergheiK173 S strain and this effect was antagonized by spermidine. | 17 | Biomarkers for early diagnosis of autism obtained through bioinformatics analysis of human blood sample显示文摘Objective:autism spectrum disorder(ASD),a serious disorder that begins early in life,con-tinues throughout the lifespan.Children with ASD who are diagnosed early are more responsive to therapeutic interventions and have less social and language impair-ment than children diagnosed later;however,current di-agnostic measures are mostly applied to children older than one year and lack the appropriate biological markers for early diagnosis of ASD.Using bioinformatic analy-sis,this study explores the molecular information mech-anism of ASD.Method:in this study,we used dataset GSE6575 from Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO)to an-alyze the mRNA expression profile of ASD,including 35 ASD samples and 12 normal control samples looking for different genes and we did enrichment analysis of those genes.We then used the STRING database to construct a protein-protein interaction(PPI)network of differential genes.Finally,Cytoscape plug-in cytoHubba was used to search for hub genes.The diagnostic value of the hub genes was verified by subject operating characteristic curves.Result:we looked for 50 different genes and did an enrichment analysis of those genes.The results of the enrichment analysis showed that these differential genes were mainly concentrated in the response to viruses,the immune regulation of inflammation and energy metabo-lism.Using Cytoscape plug-in cytoHubba,we found ten different genes.We drew ROC curves for all ten genes among which two genes,interleukin 2 receptor subunit beta(IL2Rβ)and perforin 1(PRF1),had good sensitivity and specificity for the early diagnosis of autism.The ar-eas under the ROC curves were 0.855,0.830 for IL2Rβ,PRF1.Conclusion:data analysis using the GEO data-base can provide new insights into the etiology of ASD as well as some possible biomarkers and therapeutic targets for early diagnosis and treatment of ASD. | Liuyin Jin Linman Wu Zhilan Yang Junyi Xiang Wenqian Xu Chang Shu Gaohua Wang | 2021 | Journal of Translational Neuroscience2021,6,4: | 0 |

In China, it also has become a main direct threat against national safety, society advancement, economic development and public health. Based on the national report in 2002, the number of addicts registered in due form is over 1 million, which are distributed in 2148 counties and cities in China. The real number of addicts, however, is much more than those as mentioned above. Money used for buying opioids each year in China might be over 10 billion except for other payment. Base on the statistics, 20 - 50% crimes are commited by addicts. On the other hand, drug abuse often induces contagion spread, such as tuberculosis, hepatitis and HIV disease. About 70% HIV positive subjects in China are related to drug abuse. We are very happy to see more andmore attention has been paid to the problem in our country.
