1Influence of Conductivity of Slag on Decarburization Reaction显示文摘By altering the electrochemical properties of slag, the decarburization reaction of Fe3+-based slag withFe-C droplet was studied. The results showed that a lot of free electrons and holes exist in the slag containing transition metal oxides (such as TiO2 and Fe2O3). So electronic conduction in the slag increases. 2HID-1 is a peripheral membrane protein primarily associated with the medial-and transGolgi apparatus显示文摘Caenorhabditis elegans hid-1 gene was first identified in a screen for mutants with a high-temperature-induced dauer formation(Hid)phenotype.Despite the fact that the hid-1 gene encodes a novel protein(HID-1)which is highly conserved from Caenorhabditis elegans to mammals,the domain structure,subcellular localization,and exact function of HID-1 remain unknown.Previous studies and various bioinformatic softwares predicted that HID-1 contained many transmembrane domains but no known functional domain.In this study,we revealed that mammalian HID-1 localized to the medial-and transGolgi apparatus as well as the cytosol,and the localization was sensitive to brefeldin A treatment.Next,we demonstrated that HID-1 was a peripheral membrane protein and dynamically shuttled between the Golgi apparatus and the cytosol.Finally,we verified that a conserved N-terminal myristoylation site was required for HID-1 binding to the Golgi apparatus.We propose that HID-1 is probably involved in the intracellular trafficking within the Golgi region.Lifen Wang Yi Zhan Eli Song Yong Yu Yaming Jiu Wen Du Jingze Lu Pingsheng Liu Pingyong Xu Tao Xu 2011Protein & Cell2011,2,1:1
3Electrochemical Characteristic of Decarburization Reaction显示文摘The electrochemical mechanism of the reaction between Fe-C melts and CaO-SiO2-Al2O3-FeOx slag systems has been carried out. The experimental results suggest that the final content of carbon in melt increases as the partial oxygen pressure of gas decreases no matter whether there is electronic conductor or not. However, the final content of carbon in the system with electronic conductor is much lower than that without electronic conductor. It can be deduced that the transfer ability of oxygen in slag is dominated by electrons. 6Country-level land carbon sink and its causing components by the middle of the twenty-first century显示文摘Background:Countries have long been making efforts by reducing greenhouse-gas emissions to mitigate climate change.In the agreements of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change,involved countries have committed to reduction targets.However,carbon(C)sink and its involving processes by natural ecosystems remain difficult to quantify.Methods:Using a transient traceability framework,we estimated country-level land C sink and its causing components by 2050 simulated by 12 Earth System Models involved in the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5(CMIP5)under RCP8.5.Results:The top 20 countries with highest C sink have the potential to sequester 62 Pg C in total,among which,Russia,Canada,USA,China,and Brazil sequester the most.This C sink consists of four components:productiondriven change,turnover-driven change,change in instantaneous C storage potential,and interaction between production-driven change and turnover-driven change.The four components account for 49.5%,28.1%,14.5%,and 7.9%of the land C sink,respectively.Conclusion:The model-based estimates highlight that land C sink potentially offsets a substantial proportion of greenhouse-gas emissions,especially for countries where net primary production(NPP)likely increases substantially and inherent residence time elongates.Lifen Jiang Junyi Liang Xingjie Lu Enqing Hou Forrest MHoffman Yiqi Luo 2021Ecological Processes2021,10,1:0

8Percolation-induced resistivity drop in lutetium dihydride with controllable electrical conductivity over six orders of magnitude显示文摘The recent report of near-ambient superconductivity in the nitrogen-doped lutetium hydride has attracted considerable attention.Subsequent follow-up studies confirmed the pressure-induced color changes in both N-free and N-doped LuH_(2) but failed to reproduce superconductivity. It remains a puzzle why the samples in the original report exhibited pronounced resistance anomaly reminiscent of the superconducting transition. Here, we show that percolation of metallic grains with high conductivity through the insulating surfaces in cold-pressed LuH_(2) samples can occasionally produce sharp resistance drops, which even display magnetic field and/or current dependences but stay far from zero resistance. The insulating surface of LuH2grain should be attributed to the modification of hydrogen stoichiometry or the contamination by oxygen/nitrogen, resulting in an increase of resistance by over six orders of magnitude. Such an effect is more significant than that discovered recently in LaH_(3±x), which may indicate that LuH_(2) can be a potential superionic conductor.
