| 1 | Effect of Ce doping into V_(2)O_(5)-WO_(3)/TiO_(2) catalysts on the selective catalytic reduction of NO_(x) by NH_(3)显示文摘In this work, the effectiveness of V_2O_5-WO_3/TiO_2 catalysts modified with different CeO_2 contents by impregnation and co-precipitation methods on the selective catalytic reduction of NOxby NH3 have been studied comparatively by various experimental techniques. The results showed that the NO conversion of V_2O_5-WO_3/CeO_2-TiO_2 catalysts modified by co-precipitation method obviously increased with the Ce doping contents in the studied range below 20%(All Ce contents are in mass fractions), but the NO conversion of V_2O_5-WO_3/CeO_2/TiO_2 catalysts modified by impregnation methods was lower than V_2O_5-WO_3/CeO_2-TiO_2 catalysts especially beyond 2.5% Ce doping contents. The V_2O_5-WO_3/CeO_2-TiO_2 catalysts showed better SCR activity, wider reaction window, and higher sulfur and water resistance. The characterization results elucidated that the modified catalysts by co-precipitation method exhibited higher specific surface area, much better dispersity of Ce component, more Ce^(3+)species and more Br?nsted acid sites than that by impregnation. The vacancies caused by more Ce^(3+)species were favorable for more NO oxidation to NO_2, and the interaction between Ce species and WOxspecies generated more Br?nsted acid sites. It could be supposed that dispersed Ce Oxspecies and WOxspecies offered more second active centers respectively to adsorb oxygen and activate ammonia as co-catalysis to the primary active center of V ions, thus facilitated the better SCR activity of modified V_2O_5-WO_3/CeO_2-TiO_2 catalysts by coprecipitation methods. | 3 | Role of pre-vertical compression in deformation behavior of Mg alloy AZ31B during super-high reduction hot rolling process显示文摘Mg alloy AZ31 B plates were processed by hot rolling with different thickness reductions per pass and prevertical compression followed by super-high reduction hot rolling(PVCR), respectively. Microstructure evolution, rolling formability variation and mechanical responses were investigated. As reduction per pass increased, the number of shear bands deflecting toward rolling direction increased, resulting in easy crack initiation in and around the bands. With increasing reduction per pass up to 80%, twinning and twinning-induced dynamic recrystallization(DRX) dominated the deformation of the edge material at350?C, resulting in local recrystallization with coarse grains and further largest edge-crack degree. Preinduced {10ī12} tensile twins by pre-vertical compression(PVC) increased number density of nucleation sites for dynamic recrystallization during the subsequent severe rolling, which enhanced the dominant role of continuous dynamic recrystallization. Designed PVCR-b was proved to be a relatively effective method to improve rolling formability of rolled Mg alloy AZ31 B plates. With this method, mean grain size of AZ31 B plate was significantly refined from ~600 mm to ~14.1 mm and more homogeneous grain size distribution along transverse direction(TD) was achieved. In addition, basal texture intensity was greatly weakened. | 4 | Enhancement of fine particle filtration with efficient humidification显示文摘Filtration is one of the most effective methods to remove suspended fine particles from air. In filtration processes,pressure drop of compact dust cake causes problems in efficiency and economy, which has received increasing attention and still remains challenging. In this study, we developed a novel technique to intensify the filtration of fine particles with efficient humidification. Two strategies for humidification, including ultrasonic atomization and steam humidification(controlling of ambient humidity), were employed and proved to be both effective. The regeneration frequency of the filter could be reduced by 55% with ultrasonic atomization, while steam humidification could lead to a 78% reduction in regeneration frequency. The effect of operating conditions on pressure drop and the mass loading during filtration were investigated. The dust cake showed a loose and porous structure with an optimized droplet-to-particle ratio. With the ratio of 1.53 and 0.0282, the maximum mass loading was 552 g·m-2upon the ultrasonic atomization and 720 g·m-2upon the steam humidification. | 5 | miR-140-3p enhanced the osteo/odontogenic differentiation of DPSCs via inhibiting KMT5B under hypoxia condition显示文摘Human dental pulp stem cells(DPSCs)have emerged as an important source of stem cells in the tissue engineering,and hypoxia will change various innate characteristics of DPSCs and then affect dental tissue regeneration.Nevertheless,little is known about the complicated molecular mechanisms.In this study,we aimed to investigate the influence and mechanism of miR-140-3p on DPSCs under hypoxia condition.Hypoxia was induced in DPSCs by Cobalt chloride(CoCl_(2))treatment.The osteo/dentinogenic differentiation capacity of DPSCs was assessed by alkaline phosphatase(ALP)activity,Alizarin Red S staining and main osteo/dentinogenic markers.A luciferase reporter gene assay was performed to verify the downstream target gene of miR-140-3p.This research exhibited that miR-140-3p promoted osteo/dentinogenic differentiation of DPSCs under normoxia environment.Furthermore,miR-140-3p rescued the CoCl_(2)-induced decreased osteo/odontogenic differentiation potentials in DPSCs.Besides,we investigated that miR-140-3p directly targeted lysine methyltransferase 5B(KMT5B).Surprisingly,we found inhibition of KMT5B obviously enhanced osteo/dentinogenic differentiation of DPSCs both under normoxia and hypoxia conditions.In conclusion,our study revealed the role and mechanism of miR-140-3p for regulating osteo/dentinogenic differentiation of DPSCs under hypoxia,and discovered that miR-140-3p and KMT5B might be important targets for DPSC-mediated tooth or bone tissue regeneration. | Han Zheng Ning Wang Le Li Lihua Ge Haichao Jia Zhipeng Fan | 2021 | International Journal of Oral Science2021,13,4: | 2 |
| 6 | Optimum rolling speed and relevant temperature-and reduction-dependent interfacial friction behavior during the break-down rolling of AZ31B alloy显示文摘The present study aimed to determine the optimum rolling speed for break-down rolling of as-cast AZ31 B alloy and investigated the friction behavior associated with temperature-and reduction-sensitivity at the roll/plate contact interface. Tensile testing, formability evaluation and microstructural studies relevant to different rolling speeds were performed and finally the optimum operating rolling speed(50.0 ± 0.8 m/min) was obtained. Further, the effects of rolling reduction and initial temperature were assessed on the temperature variation, lateral spread and interfacial friction behavior at optimum rolling speed. The results showed that lower rolling speed(18.0 ± 0.8 m/min) resulted in an incompletely recrystallized structure where twins occupied relatively high volume fraction. Twinning dominated the deformation at rolling speed exceeding the optimum, resulting in the local recrystallization with shear bands and coarse grains. Rolling at 50.0 ± 0.8 m/min could get the best overall tensile properties and rolling formability due to the relatively high recrystallization degree and microstructure uniformity. An inverse method has been developed to determine the interfacial friction coefficient during interaction of AZ31 B alloy with roll surfaces. When rolling at the optimum speed, the interfacial friction coefficient ranged from 0.16 to 0.58, which was strongly positively correlated with the reduction but slightly positively correlated with the initial temperature. | 7 | Persistence and intergenerational transmission of differentially expressed genes in the testes of intracytoplasmic sperm injection conceived mice显示文摘Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is commonly used to solve male infertility problems. Previous studies showed that early environmental exposure of an embryo may influence postnatal development. To detect whether ICSI operations affect the reproductive health of a male or his offspring, we established assisted reproductive technologies (ART) conceived mouse models, and analyzed gene expression profiles in the testes of both ICSI and naturally conceived (NC) newborn F1 mice using micro-array analysis. Among the differentially expressed genes, we focused on the expression of eight male reproduction-related genes. Quantitative real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was used to analyze the expression of these genes in the testes of both adult and old F1 generation mice and adult F2 generation mice. Our results showed that down-regulated and somatic cell-expressed genes in newborn mice retained their differential expression patterns in adult and old F1 generation individuals, implying the persistence and fetal origin of the alteration in the expression of these genes. The intergenerational transmission of differential gene expression was observed, but most changes tended to be reduced in adult F2 generations. Controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH) and in vitro fertilization (IVF) mice models were added to explore the precise factors contributing to the differences in ICSI offspring. | 9 | Community structure of picoplankton abundance and biomass in the southern Huanghai Sea during the spring and autumn of 2006显示文摘During spring and autumn of 2006,the investigations on abundance,carbon biomass and distribution of picoplankton were carried out in the southern Huanghai Sea(Yellow Sea,sHS) . Three groups of picoplankton-Synechococcus(Syn) ,Picoeukaryotes(PEuk) and heterotrophic bacteria(BAC) were identified,but Prochlorococcus(Pro) was undetected. The average abundance of Syn and PEuk was lower in spring(5.0 and 1.3 × 10 3 cells/cm 3,respectively) than in autumn(92.4 and 2.7 × 10 3 cells/cm 3,respectively) ,but it was opposite for BAC(1.3 and 0.7 × 10 6 cells/cm 3 in spring and autumn,respectively) . And the total carbon biomass of picoplankton was higher in spring(37.23 ± 11.67) mg/m 3 than in autumn(21.29 ± 13.75) mg/m 3 . The ratios of the three cell abundance were 5:1:1 341 and 30:1:124 in spring and autumn,respectively. And the ratios of carbon biomass of them were 5:7:362 and 9:4:4 in spring and autumn,respectively. Seasonal distribution characteristics of Syn,PEuk,BAC were quite different from each other. In spring,Syn abundance decreased in turn in the central waters(where phytoplankton bloom in spring occurred) ,the southern waters and inshore waters of the Shandong Peninsula(where even Syn was undetected) ;the high values of PEuk abundance appeared in the central and southern waters and the inshore of the Shandong Peninsula;the abundance of BAC was nearly three order of magnitude higher than that of photosynthetic picoplankton,and high values appeared in the central waters. In autumn,Syn abundance in central waters was higher than that in surrounding waters,while for PEuk abundance,it decreased in turn in the inshore waters of the Shandong Peninsula,the southern waters and the central waters;BAC presented a complicated blocky type distribution. Sub-surface maximum of each group of picopalnkton appeared in both spring and autumn. Compared with the available literatures concerning the studied area,the range of Syn abundance was larger,and the abundance of BAC was higher. In addition,the conversion factors for calculating picoplanktonic carbon biomass were discussed,with the conversion factors which are different from previous studies in the same surveyed waters. | 19 | Effect of Different Factors on the Quality of Life and Sequelae of COVID-19 Patients After Discharge显示文摘Background The continued spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)remains an international public health emergency,resulting in a significant global disease burden.The long-term effects of SARS-CoV-2 infection in humans and the long-term prognosis of patients with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)after discharge remain unclear.We aimed to assess the quality of life(QoL)and sequelae in patients with COVID-19 after discharge from the hospital by conducting multiple follow-up visits to understand the long-term effects of SARS-CoV-2 on patients'health and its possible influencing factors.Methods COVID-19 patients discharged from Huoshenshan Hospital(Wuhan,China)between February 15 and April 5,2020,were followed up at 6,9,and 12 months after discharge.They completed questionnaires on postdischarge QoL and sequelae under the guidance of medical staff with professional training.The demographic and clinical characteristics of the COVID-19 patients were analyzed using descriptive statistics.A generalized estimating equation model was used to analyze the QoL-related factors.Theχ2 test(or Fisher exact test)and multivariate logistic regression analysis were used to analyze the sequelae and influencing factors.Results A total of 175 patients participated in at least 1 follow-up visit,and 120 completed all 3 follow-up visits.Patients diagnosed with severe and critically ill COVID-19 had worse mental conditions(χ2=7.653,P=0.022)than those with the nonsevere type(not severe or critical)and were more likely to feel fatigued(χ2=4.836,P=0.028).Female patients had a higher risk of sleep disturbance(χ2=10.026,P=0.002)and dyspnea(χ2=5.672,P=0.017)and had more difficulty returning to their original work and life(χ2=8.922,P=0.003)than male patients.Patients with diabetes had a worse appetite(χ2=4.669,P=0.031)and were more prone to sleep disturbance(χ2=4.417,P=0.036)after discharge.The proportion of patients with at least 1 sequela increased from 29.76%(50/168)at 6 months to 51.11%(69/135)at 9 months(χ2=14.305,P<0.001).Compared with the nonsevere type,patients diagnosed with severe and critically ill COVID-19 had an odds ratio(OR)of 4.325(95%confidence interval[CI],1.215–15.401)for memory decline.Female patients had an OR of 4.632(95%CI,1.716–12.501)for joint or muscle pain.Patients with hypertension had an OR of 3.014(95%CI,1.193–7.615)for joint or muscle pain.Conclusion One year after discharge,there were still some patients with varying degrees of decline in QoL and sequelae,which occurred in all follow-up visits.Moreover,QoL and sequelae after discharge were related to sex,clinical classification of COVID-19,and underlying diseases. | Nan Guo Ya-Ping Yao Le Song Guan-Zhen Wang Jun-Li He Ning Zheng Qiong Mo Wen-Xu Ni Bo Zhang Fu-Sheng Wang Lei Huang | 2023 | Infectious Diseases & Immunity2023,3,2: | 1 |
