1Tuning Superhydrophobic Materials with Negative Surface Energy Domains显示文摘Hydrophobic/superhydrophobic materials with intrinsic water repellence are highly desirable in engineering fields including antiicing in aerocrafts,antidrag and anticorrosion in ships,and antifog and self-cleaning in optical lenses,screen,mirrors,and windows.However,superhydrophobic material should have small surface energy(SE)and a micro/nanosurface structure which can reduce solid-liquid contact significantly.The low SE is generally found in organic materials with inferior mechanical properties that is undesirable in engineering.Intriguingly,previous theoretical calculations have predicted a negative SE forθ-alumina(θ-Al_(2)O_(3)),which inspires us to use it as a superhydrophobic material.Here,we report the experimental evidence of the small/negative SE ofθ-Al_(2)O_(3) and aθ-Al_(2)O_(3)-based superhydrophobic coating prepared by one-step scalable plasma arcing oxidation.The superhydrophobic coating has complete ceramic and desired micro/nanostructure and therefore exhibits excellent aging resistance,wear resistance,corrosion resistance,high-temperature tolerance,and burning resistance.Owing to the rarity of the small/negative SE in inorganic materials,the concept to reduce SE byθ-Al_(2)O_(3) may foster a blowout to develop robust superhydrophobicity by complete inorganic materials.Zhongzhen Wu Liangliang Liu Shunning Li Shunping Ji Pinghu Chen Suihan Cui Zhengyong Ma Yuchang Weng Qian Huang Zhongcan Wu Hao Wu Yuan Lin Ricky KYFu Hai Lin Xiubo Tian Paul KChu Feng Pan 2019Research2019,,1:6
2Characterization and potential diagnostic application of monoclonal antibodies specific to rabies virus显示文摘Objective:Rabies is invariably a fatal encephalomyelitis that is considered to be a serious public health problem.It is necessary to develop standard rabies virus diagnostic tools,especially for diagnosing the strains prevalent in China.Methods:Monoclonal antibodies(MAbs)specific to rabies virus were produced and characterized by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),isotyping,affinity assay,immunofluorescence assay(IFA),and immunocytochemistry.The MAb,whose affinity was higher for antigen,was used to establish an antigen captureELISA(AC-ELISA)detection system and test the efficiency by using clinical samples.Results:The heavy chain subclasses of two MAbs were all determined to be IgG2a.The 3C7 MAb showed stronger reactivity with rabies virus protein than the 2C5 MAb in an ELISA analysis,whereas the 3C7 MAb showed the highest affinity for antigen.IFA and immunocytochemistry results also indicated that the two MAbs could recognize rabies virus protein in its native form in cell samples.Data obtained using clinical samples showed that rabies virus could be detected by AC-ELISA detection system using the 3C7 MAb.Conclusion:It was potentially useful for the further development of highly sensitive,easily handled,and relatively rapid detection kits/tools for rabies surveillance in those areas where rabies is endemic,especially in China.Xinjian Liu Xiaomin Feng Qi Tang Zhongcan Wang Zhenning Qiu Yuhua Li Changjun Wang Zhenqing Feng Jin Zhu Xiaohong Guan 2010The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,5:5
3Ab initio investigation of the cyclodehydrogenation process for polyanthrylene transformation to graphene nanoribbons显示文摘Graphene nanoribbons(GNRs)can be synthesized from molecular precursors with atomic precision.A prominent case is the 7-atom-wide armchair GNR made from 10,10′-dibromo-9,9′-bianthryl(DBBA)precursors on metal substrates through dehalogenation/polymerization followed by cyclodehydrogenation.We investigate the key aspects of the cyclodehydrogenation process by evaluating the energy profiles of various reaction pathways using density functional theory and the nudged elastic band method.The metal substrate plays a critical catalytic role by providing stronger adsorption for products and facilitating H desorption.For polyanthrylene on an extra layer of GNR on Au,the underlying GNR insulates it from the Au substrate and increases the reaction barriers,rendering the polyanthrylene“quasi-freestanding”.However,positive charge injection can induce localized cyclodehydrogenation.We find that this is due to the stabilization of an intermediate state through an arenium ion mechanism and favorable orbital symmetries.These results provide mechanistic insight into the effects of the metal substrate and charge injection on cyclodehydrogenation during GNR synthesis and offer guidance for the design and growth of new graphitic structures.Zhongcan Xiao Chuanxu Ma Wenchang Lu Jingsong Huang Liangbo Liang Kunlun Hong An-Ping Li Bobby G.Sumpter Jerzy Bernholc 2019npj Computational Materials2019,,1:0
4Theoretical analysis of RNA polymerase fidelity: a steady-state copolymerization approach显示文摘The fidelity of DNA transcription catalyzed by RNA polymerase(RNAP)has long been an important issue in biology.Experiments have revealed that RNAP can incorporate matched nucleotides selectively and proofread the incorporated mismatched nucleotides.However,systematic theoretical researches on RNAP fidelity are still lacking.In the last decade,several theories on RNA transcription have been proposed,but they only handled highly simplified models without considering the high-order neighbor effects and the oligonucleotides cleavage both of which are critical for the overall fidelity.In this paper,we regard RNA transcription as a binary copolymerization process and calculate the transcription fidelity by the steady-state copolymerization theory recently proposed by us for DNA replication.With this theory,the more realistic models considering higher-order neighbor effects,oligonucleotides cleavage,multi-step incorporation and multi-step cleavage can be rigorously handled.Wenbo Fu Qiushi Li Yongshun Song Yaogen Shu Zhongcan Ouyang Ming Li 2022Communications in Theoretical Physics2022,74,1:0
56-2 Recent Progress of the SSC-Linac显示文摘SSC-Linac[1] as the injector for the Separated Sector Cyclotron (SSC), is being constructed at national labo-ratory Heavy Ion Research Facility at Lanzhou (HIRFL). The injection and extraction energy are 3.7 keV/u and1.025 MeV/u, respectively. Fig. 1 shows the front end section of the SSC-Linac. The high charges state continuswave (CW) 4-rod RFQ has been designed and fabricated for some years. From the end of 2013, the commissioningof the RFQ was performed and the beam test was carried out in April 2014. 6Prediction of high-speed train delay propagation based on causal text information显示文摘The delay-causing text data contain valuable information such as the specific reasons for the delay,location and time of the disturbance,which can provide an efficient support for the prediction of train delays and improve the guidance of train control efficiency.Based on the train operation data and delay-causing data of the Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway,the relevant algorithms in the natural language processing field are used to process the delay-causing text data.It also integrates the train operatingenvironment information and delay-causing text information so as to develop a cause-based train delay propagation prediction model.The Word2vec model is first used to vectorize the delay-causing text description after word segmentation.The mean model or the term frequency-inverse document frequency-weighted model is then used to generate the delay-causing sentence vector based on the original word vector.Afterward,the train operating-environment features and delay-causing sentence vector are input into the extreme gradient boosting(XGBoost)regression algorithm to develop a delay propagation prediction model.In this work,4 text feature processing methods and 8 regression algorithms are considered.The results demonstrate that the XGBoost regression algorithm has the highest prediction accuracy using the test features processed by the continuous bag of words and the mean models.Compared with the prediction model that only considers the train-operating-environment features,the results show that the prediction accuracy of the model is significantly improved with multi-ple regression algorithms after integrating the delay-causing feature.Qianyi Liu Shengjie Wang Zhongcan Li Li Li Jun Zhang Chao Wen 2023Railway Engineering Science2023,31,1:0
