Numerical study of corner separation in a linear compressor cascade using various turbulence models显示文摘Three-dimensional corner separation is a common phenomenon that significantly affects compressor performance.Turbulence model is still a weakness for RANS method on predicting corner separation flow accurately. In the present study, numerical study of corner separation in a linear highly loaded prescribed velocity distribution(PVD) compressor cascade has been investigated using seven frequently used turbulence models. The seven turbulence models include Spalart–Allmaras model, standard k–e model, realizable k–e model, standard k–x model, shear stress transport k–x model,v^2–f model and Reynolds stress model. The results of these turbulence models have been compared and analyzed in detail with available experimental data.It is found the standard k–e model, realizable k–e model,v^2–f model and Reynolds stress model can provide reasonable results for predicting three dimensional corner separation in the compressor cascade. The Spalart–Allmaras model, standard k–x model and shear stress transport k–x model overestimate corner separation region at incidence of 0°.The turbulence characteristics are discussed and turbulence anisotropy is observed to be stronger in the corner separating region.Liu Yangwei Yan Hao Liu Yingjie Lu Lipeng Li Qiushi 2016Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2016,29,3:11
Application of Tandem Cascade to Design of Fan Stator with Supersonic Inflow显示文摘This article proposes a tandem cascade constructed to tackle the thorny problem of designing the high-loaded stator with a supersonic inflow and a large turning angle. The front cascade adopts a supersonic profile to reduce the shock wave intensity turning the flow into subsonic, while the rear cascade adopts a subsonic profile with a large camber offering the flow a large turning angle. It is disclosed that the losses would be minimized if the leading edge of the rear cascade lies close to the pressure side of the front cascade at a distance of 20% pitch in pitch-wise direction without either axial spacing or overlapping in axial direction. The 2D numerical test results show that, with the inflow Mach number of 1.25 and the turning angle of 52°,the total pressure loss coefficient of the tandem cascade reaches 0.106,and the diffusion factor 0.745.Finally,this article has designed and simulated a high-loaded fan stage with the proposed tandem stator, which has the pressure ratio of 3.15 and the efficiency of 86.32% at the rotor tip speed of 495.32m/s.Li Qiushi,Wu Hong,Zhou Sheng School of Jet Propulsion,Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics,Beijing 100191,China 2010Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2010,23,1:9
Large-eddy simulation of shock-wave/turbulent boundary layer interaction with and without Spark Jet control显示文摘The efficiency and mechanism of an active control device ‘‘Spark Jet' and its application in shock-induced separation control are studied using large-eddy simulation in this paper. The base flow is the interaction of an oblique shock-wave generated by 8° wedge and a spatially-developing Ma = 2.3 turbulent boundary layer. The Reynolds number based on the incoming flow property and the boundary layer displacement thickness at the impinging point without shock-wave is20000.The detailed numerical approaches were presented. The inflow turbulence was generated using the digital filter method to avoid artificial temporal or streamwise periodicity. The numerical results including velocity profile,Reynolds stress profile, skin friction, and wall pressure were systematically validated against the available wind tunnel particle image velocimetry(PIV) measurements of the same flow condition.Further study on the control of flow separation due to the strong shock-viscous interaction using an active control actuator ‘‘Spark Jet' was conducted. The single-pulsed characteristic of the device was obtained and compared with the experiment. Both instantaneous and time-averaged flow fields have shown that the jet flow issuing from the actuator cavity enhances the flow mixing inside the boundary layer, making the boundary layer more resistant to flow separation.Skin friction coefficient distribution shows that the separation bubble length is reduced by about 35% with control exerted.Yang Guang Yao Yufeng Fang Jian Gan Tian Li Qiushi Lu Lipeng 2016Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2016,29,3:8
Dynamically controlling terahertz wavefronts with cascaded metasurfaces显示文摘Dynamically controlling terahertz(THz)wavefronts in a designable fashion is highly desired in practice. However, available methods working at microwave frequencies do not work well in the THz regime due to lacking suitable tunable elements with submicrometer sizes. Here, instead of locally controlling individual meta-atoms in a THz metasurface,we show that rotating different layers(each exhibiting a particular phase profile)in a cascaded metadevice at different speeds can dynamically change the effective Jonesmatrix property of the whole device, thus enabling extraordinary manipulations on the wavefront and polarization characteristics of a THz beam impinging on the device. After illustrating our strategy based on model calculations,we experimentally demonstrate two proof-of-concept metadevices, each consisting of two carefully designed all-silicon transmissive metasurfaces exhibiting different phase profiles.Rotating two metasurfaces inside the fabricated devices at different speeds,we experimentally demonstrate that the first metadevice can efficiently redirect a normally incident THz beam to scan over a wide solid-angle range, while the second one can dynamically manipulate both the wavefront and polarization of a THz beam. Our results pave the way to achieving dynamic control of THz beams, which is useful in many applications, such as THz radar, and bio-and chemical sensing and imaging.Xiaodong Cai Rong Tang Haoyang Zhou Qiushi Li Shaojie Ma Dongyi Wang Tong Liu Xiaohui Ling Wei Tan Qiong He Shiyi Xiao Lei Zhou 2021Advanced Photonics2021,3,3:8
Modified k-ω model using kinematic vorticity for corner separation in compressor cascades显示文摘A new method of modifying the conventional k-ω turbulence model for corner separation is proposed in this paper. The production term in the ω equation is modified using kinematic vorticity considering fluid rotation and deformation in complex geometric boundary conditions. The corner separation flow in linear compressor cascades is calculated using the original k-ω model, the modified k-ω model and the Reynolds stress model(RSM). The numerical results of the modified model are compared with the available experimental data, as well as the corresponding results of the original k-ω model and RSM. In terms of accuracy, the modified model, which significantly improves the performance of the original k-ω model for predicting corner separation, is quite competitive with the RSM. However, the modified model, which has considerably lower computational cost, is more robust than the RSM.LIU YangWei YAN Hao FANG Le LULiPeng LI QiuShi SHAO Liang 2016Science China(Technological Sciences)2016,59,5:7
Streamwise-body-force-model for rapid simulation combining internal and external flow fields显示文摘A streamwise-body-force-model(SBFM) is developed and applied in the overall flow simulation for the distributed propulsion system, combining internal and external flow fields. In view of axial stage effects, fan or compressor effects could be simplified as body forces along the streamline. These body forces which are functions of local parameters could be added as source terms in Navier-Stokes equations to replace solid boundary conditions of blades and hubs. The validation of SBFM with uniform inlet and distortion inlet of compressors shows that pressure performance characteristics agree well with experimental data. A three-dimensional simulation of the integration configuration, via a blended wing body aircraft with a distributed propulsion system using the SBFM, has been completed. Lift coefficient and drag coefficient agree well with wind tunnel test results. Results show that to reach the goal of rapid integrated simulation combining internal and external flow fields, the computational fluid dynamics method based on SBFM is reasonable.Cui Rong Li Qiushi Pan Tianyu Zhang Jian 2016Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2016,29,5:6
Research of contour error compensation control for X-C non-circular grinding in polar coordinates显示文摘In the X-C linkage grinding of non-circular parts, the computation and control method of contour error in polar coordinates platform is different with that in the XY coordinates platform. To solve this problem, the analysis of the definition and computation methods for contour error and track error in polar coordinates platform will be made.Through the relative lead-lag relation of the linkage axes in the grinding process, the range of the estimation contour error is narrowed and a contour error calculation model is constructed. Then the contour compensation controllers along contour error direction and trajectory tracking error direction are designed respectively, and the error compensation decoupling matrix of the X-C linkage axes is given as well.In the end of this paper,we take the machining of the cylinder contour in Wankel rotary piston engine as an example.A simulation experiment of contour error compensation control based on relative lead-lag quantity is made. The result shows that the designed contour compensation controller can increase the contour machining accuracy effectively.LI Qiguang HAN Qiushi PENG Baoying WANG Hongjun 2014Instrumentation2014,1,1:6
Genetic analysis and molecular mapping of a novel gene for zebra mutation in rice (Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘A novel zebra mutant,zebra-15,derived from the restorer line Jinhui10(Oryza sativa L. ssp. indica) treated by EMS,displayed a distinctive zebra leaf from seedling stage to jointing stage. Its chlorophyll content decreased(55.4%) and the ratio of Chla/Chlb increased(90.2%) significantly in the yellow part of the zebra-15,compared with the wild type. Net photosynthetic rate and fluorescence kinetic parameters showed that the decrease of chlorophyll content significantly influenced the photosynthetic efficiency of the mutant. Genetic analysis of F2 segregation populations derived from the cross of Xinong1A and zebra-15 indicated that the zebra leaf trait is controlled by a single recessive nuclear gene. Ninety-eight out of four hundred and eighty pairs of SSR markers showed the diversity between the Xinong1A and the zebra-15,their F2 population was then used for gene mapping. Zebra-15(Z-15) gene was primarily restricted on the short arm of chromosome 5 by 150 F2 recessive individuals,19.6 cM from marker RM3322 and 6.0 cM from marker RM6082. Thirty-six SSR markers were newly designed in the restricted location, and the Z-15 was finally located between markers nSSR516 and nSSR502 with the physical region 258 kb by using 1,054 F2 recessive individuals.Qiushi Wang,Xianchun Sang,Yinghua Ling,Fangming Zhao,Zhenglin Yang,Yunfeng Li,Guanghua He Key Laboratory of Biotechnology and Crop Quality Improvement,Ministry of Agriculture Rice Research Institute,Southwest University,Chongqing 400716,China 2009Journal of Genetics and Genomics2009,36,11:5
Development of a coupled supersonic inlet-fan Navier–Stokes simulation method显示文摘A coupled supersonic inlet-fan Navier–Stokes simulation method was developed by using COMSOL-CFD code. The flow turning, pressure rise and loss effects across blade rows of the fan and the inlet-fan interactions were taken into account as source terms of the governing equations without a blade geometry by a body force model. In this model, viscous effects in blade passages can also be calculated directly, which include the exchange of momentum between fluids and detailed viscous flow close to walls. NASA Rotor 37 compressor test rig was used to validate the ability of the body force model to estimate the real performance of blade rows. Calculated pressure ratio characteristics and the distribution of the total pressure, total temperature, and swirl angle in the span direction agreed well with experimental and numerical data. It is shown that the body force model is a promising approach for predicting the flow field of the turbomachinery. Then, coupled axisymmetric mixed compression supersonic inlet-fan simulations were conducted at Mach number 2.8 operating conditions. The analysis includes coupled steady-state performance, and effects of the fan on the inlet. The results indicate that the coupled simulation method is capable of simulating behavior of the supersonic inlet-fan system.Qiushi LI Yongzhao LYU Tianyu PAN Da LI Ha'nan LU Yifang GONG 2018Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2018,31,2:5
Preparation and electrical-magnetic properties of Co_(0.6)Cu_(0.16)Ni_(0.24)Fe_2O_4/MWCNTs composites显示文摘Co0.6Cu0.16Ni0.24Fe2O4/multi-walled carbon nanotube nanocomposites (CCNF/MWCNTs) were synthesized by solution filling method. The phase structure, thermal stability, morphology and electrical-magnetic properties of the samples were characterized by means of modern testing technology. The effect of iron concentration, filling time, sintering temperature on their electrical and magnetic performance was discussed. The results indicated that conductivity was related to the content of MWCNTs,while the magnetism correlated with the volume fraction of the filled CCNF in the composites. When the optimal condition satisfied the filling time of 18 h,ferric concentration of 0.25 mol L-1 and sintering temperature of 350°C,the prepared composite had the best magnetic loss performance, and its minimum reflection loss reached-22.47 dB on 9.76 GHz,the available bandwidth was beyond 2.0 GHz.Hence, the obtained composite can be used as advancing absorption and shielding material due to its favorable microwave absorbing property.XIAO QiuShi HAO Bin LI LiangChao WANG WeiXiang JIN Ye CHEN HaiFeng MA Ge 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,4:5
A novel microwave absorber——BaAl_2Fe_(10)O_(19)/poly(m-toluidine) composite:Preparation and electromagnetic properties显示文摘BaFe10Al2O19 /poly(m-toluidine)(BFA/PMT) composites were synthesized by in-situ polymerization of m-toluidine in the presence of BaFe10Al2O19 particles. The structure, composition and morphology of the obtained samples were characterized by using XRD,FT-IR,UV-visible spectroscopy,SEM and TEM techniques.Their electrical conductivity, magnetic property and microwave absorbing property were measured by the four-probe meter, the vibrating sample magnetometer and the vector network analyzer, respectively. The results indicated that BFA particles were coated effectively by PMT polymer and some interactions between PMT and BFA particles existing in the composites. The conductivity of BFA/PMT composite is smaller than that of pure polymers and its saturation magnetization is a little smaller than that of pure BFA.The influence of the constitution and film thickness of absorbent on its microwave absorbing property is evident. The microwave absorbing properties of the BFA/PMT composites are better than those of pure BFA and PMT.When optimizing the mass rate of BFA/PMT to 0.3,the absorbent with 2 mm film thickness has the minimum reflection loss of 28.26 dB at approximate 14.24 GHz,and the maximum available bandwidth of 8.8 GHz,respectively. The results show that these composites can be used as advancing absorption and shielding materials due to their favorable microwave absorbing property.CHEN KeYu XU QingQing LI LiangChao GONG PeiJun CHEN HaiFeng XIAO QiuShi Xu Feng 2012Science China Chemistry2012,55,7:4
Controlled fabrication and electrical-magnetic properties of Poly(OT-co-AN)/Ba_(0.8)La_(0.2)Al_2Fe_(10)O_(19) composites显示文摘Poly(OT-co-AN)/Ba0.8La0.2Al2Fe10O19(Poly(OT-co-AN)/BLAF) composites were fabricated by in situ polymerization method. It was investigated that of mass rate of momomer(mOT/mAN),polymeration temperature and time, and feeding ratio of BLAF effect on the structures, morphology, conductivity, magnetic property of composites by the orthogonal optimum design. The results indicated that poly(OT-co-AN) copolymer had a better coating on BLAF particles, and there were some interactions between components in the composites. The magnetic properties of the composites were related to content of the magnetic BLAF particles in it.The feeding ratio of BLAF had a significant influence on constitute and conductivity of the composites, followed by the temperature. The reflection loss and the effective bandwidth of composites for electromagnetic wave were at-tributed to the synergistic effect between poly(OT-co-AN) and BLAF.The poly(OT-co-AN)/BLAF composites with mass ratio of BLAF to mix monomer(mOT/mAN =1:1) equal to 5/1 at 10 h in 25°C had a maximum synergistic effect between its compo-nents,showed a maximum reflection loss of ?26.94 dB at 14.10 GHz and an available bandwidth of 8.54 GHz.It was sug-gested that the composites can be used as a advancing absorption and shielding materials for electromagnetic wave due to their favorable microwave absorption properties.CHEN KeYu XU QingQing LI LiangChao TONG GuoXiu QIAN HaiSheng XIAO QiuShi XU Feng 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,1:4

A preference-based multi-objective building performance optimization method for early design stage显示文摘A large number of cases show that the multi-objective optimization method can significantly improve building performance. The method for multi-objective building performance optimization(BPO)design has achieved rapid development in recent years. However, the BPO method still needs to be improved.Specifically, weak interaction between the optimization process and the decision-making process results in low optimization efficiency, which limits the widespread application of the optimization method in early design stage. In this paper,a new interactive BPO mode is explored to strengthen the interaction between the optimization process and decisionmaking process, and a preference-based multi-objective BPO method is proposed to account for designers'decision preferences during the optimization process, making the objective more controllable, improving the optimization efficiency and ensuring the diversity of solutions.Firstly, this paper illustrates the proposed method in detail, defines the concept of performance preference, expounds the flow of the preference-based multi-objective optimization algorithm, and proposes three indicators to evaluate the algorithm, which includes convergence speed, preference satisfaction rate, and diversity measurement.Secondly, through testing and comparison,it is found that the proposed preference-based algorithm has advantages over the non-preference optimization algorithm(represented by the NSGA-II algorithm). The proposed method leads to faster convergence and higher preference satisfaction,so it is more suitable for the BPO process in the early design stage.Specially, the proposed method can achieve 100%preference satisfaction rate with only 2400 simulations, while the non-preference method can only achieve 20%preference satisfaction rate after 5800 simulations. In this paper,a preference-based multi-objective BPO method is proposed to make the optimization process closely interact with the decision-making process and make the design preferences be accounted during the BPO process, thereby improving the optimization efficiency. In addition, this study first proposes two indicators to measure the quality of optimization results:preference satisfaction rate and diversity measurement. This study aims to guide the development of BPO methods towards providing high satisfaction rate and high quality optimization results.Borong Lin Hongzhong Chen Yanchen Liu Qiushi He Ziwei Li 2021Building Simulation2021,14,3:3
The calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II inhibitor KN-93 protects rat cerebral cortical neurons from N-methyl-D-aspartic acid-induced injury显示文摘In this study, primary cultured cerebral cortical neurons of Sprague-Dawley neonatal rats were treated with 0.25, 0.5, and 1.0 μM calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II inhibitor KN-93 after 50 μM N-methyl-D-aspartic acid-induced injury. Results showed that, compared with N-methyl-D-aspartic acid-induced injury neurons, the activity of cells markedly increased, apoptosis was significantly reduced, leakage of lactate dehydrogenase decreased, and intracellular Ca(2+) concentrations in neurons reduced after KN-93 treatment. The expression of caspase-3, phosphorylated calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II and total calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II protein decreased after KN-93 treatment. And the effect was apparent at a dose of 1.0 μM KN-93. Experimental findings suggest that KN-93 can induce a dose-dependent neuroprotective effect, and that the underlying mechanism may be related to the down-regulation of caspase-3 and calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II expression.Xuewen Liu Cui Ma Ruixian Xing Weiwei Zhang Buxian Tian Xidong Li Qiushi Li Yanhui Zhang 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,2:3
Hysteresis behaviors of compressor rotating stall with cusp catastrophic model显示文摘Rotating stall is a complex nonlinear dynamic phenomenon which is always characterized by catastrophe and hysteresis in high aerodynamic-loading compressor. Exploring the key contributing factors and characteristic rules of hysteresis is very important for compressor design and flow instability control. In this paper, a novel model method is proposed to analyze the hysteresis behaviors to extend the understanding of compressor rotating stall. The equilibrium states of compressor system under different conditions are first described based on Moore-Greitzer model. Then, through assessing the stability of the equilibrium points by Liapunov's theorem, the ratio of shutoff head to compressor characteristic semi-height is found to affect the stall hysteresis: the size of hysteresis loop will gradually decrease, even disappear with the increase of the ratio. Combing the effects of both the ratio and throttle coefficient, the hysteresis behaviors of compressor stall under multi-parameters can be found to be consistent with the topological properties of cusp catastrophic model by Thom's catastrophe theory. Finally, according to topological invariant rules, from the perspective of potential function, the equilibrium surface equation of compressor system is developed by standard cusp catastrophic model to describe the various hysteresis behaviors of compressor rotating stall along different control routes.Zhiping LI Peng ZHANG Tianyu PAN Qiushi LI Jian ZHANG 2018Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2018,31,5:3
Effect of system response on partial surge initiated instability in a transonic axial flow compressor显示文摘Partial surge is a type of instability inception in transonic compressors and occurs in the form of axisymmetric low-frequency disturbances localized in the hub region.Previous studies illustrate that the frequency of partial surge is set by the Helmholtz frequency of the entire system, which motivates to propose a hypothesis that the system response performs an important role in the formation of partial surge. For further verification,a series of experiments are conducted to explore the link between the propagating of the partial surge and the system feedback in this study. In the first case,an additional test point is set on the wall of the plenum to detect the system response.Combining the flow behaviors inside the plenum with the disturbances in the rotor tip and stator hub/tip regions, the effects of the system feedback on the occurrence of the continuous disturbances and the rotating stall cells are illustrated. In the second case,a screen is mounted at the compressor outlet to prevent positive feedback from the plenum. The experimental results demonstrate that in the absence of system feedback,it is the occurrence of spike-type stall inception that leads to the flow instability instead of that of partial surge. In addition, three flow phenomena in the second case are discussed, including the occurrence of the single pulse, the unstable process during the stall evolution and the switch of instability inception.Tianyu PAN Zhaoqi YAN Dakun SUN Simin LI Mengzong ZHENG Qiushi LI 2022Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,2:2
