Tianwen-1 MINPA observations in the solar wind显示文摘The Mars Ion and Neutral Particle Analyzer(MINPA)is one of the three scientific instruments onboard the Tianwen-1 orbiter to investigate the Martian space environment.During Tianwen-1’s transfer orbit to Mars, the MINPA was switched on to measure the solar wind ions. Here,we present the first results of the MINPA observations in the solar wind.During cruise, nearly half of the MINPA ion field-of-view(FOV)was blocked by the lander capsule;thus only the solar-wind ions with azimuthal speeds pointing towards the unblocked FOV sectors could be detected. We perform a detailed comparison of the MINPA’s solar wind observations with data from Earth-based missions when MINPA reached its count-rate peak, finding a general consistency of the ion moments between them. The blocking effect due to the lander is evaluated quantitatively under varying solar-wind velocity conditions.Despite the blocking effect, the MINPA’s solar wind measurements during the transfer orbit suggest a good performance. | AiBing Zhang LingGao Kong WenYa Li Lei Li BinBin Tang ZhaoJin Rong Yong Wei JiJie Ma YiTeng Zhang LiangHai Xie YuXian Wang JianSen He Bin Liu WenJing Wang Bin Su JiaWei Li Xu Tan Fang Wang TaiFeng Jin FuHao Qiao Peter Wurz Yan Zhu YunFei Bai YiRen Li XinBo Zhu YueQiang Sun YongLiao Zou Chi Wang | 2022 | Earth and Planetary Physics2022,6,1: | 5
Glycomolecules in Echinococcus granulosus cyst fluid inhibit TLR4-mediated inflammatory responses via c-Raf显示文摘Cystic echinococcosis, which is caused by larval infection of Echinococcus granulosus(E.granulosus)sensu lato,is a widespread chronic cyst-forming helminthic disease that affects up to 3 million people.1 E.granulosus can actively divert the host immune response towards anergy and anti-inflammatory pathways.2 Previous studies have shown that E.granulosus can escape host immunosurveillance by modulating the maturation of dendritic cells(DCs).3,4 Nevertheless, how E.granulosus,an extracellular pathogen, modulates the inflammatory response in DCs remains poorly understood. In this study,we investigated the effects of E.granulosus cyst fluid(EgCF)on bone marrow-derived DCs(BMDCs)exposed to LPS,an inflammatory stimulus, and the mechanisms involved in the EgCF–DCs immune modulation. | Jun Hou Linlin Li Dan Dong Lianghai Wang Xian Wang Kun Yang Xiaodan Xu Congzhe Chen Xiangwei Wu Xueling Chen | 2020 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,4: | 3
Overview of the Mars climate station for Tianwen-1 mission显示文摘The background and scientific objectives of the Mars Climate Station(MCS)for Tianwen-1 are introduced, accompanied by a comparative review of the status of related meteorological observation missions and of advanced sensing technologies. As one of the China Tianwen-1 Mission’s principal scientific payloads, the MCS contains four measurement sensors and one electronic processing unit that are specially designed to measure local temperature, pressure, wind, and sound on the Martian surface. The MCS’s measurement principles, technical schemes, ground calibration techniques, and adaptability evaluation to the Mars surface environment of MCS are introduced in details. The conclusion presents measurement performance specifications of the MCS,based on ground test results, that will provide guidance to future research based on data from the Tianwen-1 and later Mars missions. | YongQing Peng LeiBo Zhang ZhiGuo Cai ZhaoGang Wang HaiLong Jiao DongLi Wang XianTao Yang LianGuo Wang Xu Tan Feng Wang Jing Fang ZhouLu Sun HongLiang Feng XiaoRui Huang Yan Zhu Ming Chen LiangHai Li YanHua Li | 2020 | Earth and Planetary Physics2020,4,4: | 2

Determining wind field and electric field by a barium release experiment in the ionosphere显示文摘Barium release experiment is an effective way to study the near-earth environment, in which artificial plasma cloud is created via ionization of neutral gases released from a rocket or a satellite. The first barium release experiment in China was successfully carried out by a sounding rocket at a height of about 190 km on April 5, 2013. The observed barium cloud images show that the neutral cloud follows a damping motion, whose velocity decreases exponentially and finally tends towards the wind velocity of the background. But for the ion cloud, the motion is controlled mainly by the Lorentz force and a E×B drift happens. This work is devoted to calculating the wind and electric field of the background by analyzing the observed images from different stations. It turns out that the wind has a magnitude of 51.28 m/s, which is mainly in the northeast direction but also has an appreciable vertical component; the ion cloud has a drift velocity of 71.38 m/s, with a large vertical velocity component besides the horizontal components, then the electric field is obtained from the drift velocity as 2.49 m V/m. It is interesting that the wind field shows a better agreement with GITM model than the other empirical or theoretical models, and the GITM model can also give a good prediction for the ion velocity observed by us, which is consistent with the ISR observation at Jicamarca as well. | XIE LiangHai LI Lei WANG JingDong TAO Ran | 2015 | Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,7: | 0
Comprehensive analysis of the N and C terminus of endogenous serum peptides reveals a highly conserved cleavage site pattern derived from proteolytic enzymes显示文摘The human serum proteome is closely associated with the state of the body.Endogenous peptides derived from proteolytic enzymes cleaving on serum proteins are widely studied due to their potential application in disease-specific marker discovery. However, the reproducibility of peptidome analysis of endogenous peptides is significantly influenced by the proteolytic enzymes within body fluids, thereby limiting the clinical use of the endogenous peptides. We comprehensively investigated the N and C terminus of endogenous peptides using peptidomics. The cleavage site patterns of the N and C terminus and adjacent sites from all the identified endogenous peptides were highly conserved under different sample preparation conditions, including long-term incubation at 37℃ and pretreatment with repeated freeze-thaw cycles.Furthermore,a distinguishable cleavage site pattern was obtained when a different disease serum was analyzed. The conserved cleavage site pattern derived from proteolytic enzymes holds potential in highly specific disease diagnosis. | Fangjun Wang Jun Zhu Lianghai Hu Hongqiang Qin Mingliang Ye Hanfa Zou | 2012 | Protein & Cell2012,3,9: | 0
Theoretical analysis of the electric potential and the electrostatic dust transport around the Shackleton crater in the Lunar south pole region显示文摘In recent years, the Lunar south pole region(SPR)has become the focus of future explorations due to its special illumination condition and the possible water ice in permanently shadowed craters around it.The Shackleton crater locates almost exactly at the Moon’s south pole and has become the hottest destination for several landing missions, including the Chang’E-7 mission. However, people still know little about the electric potential and the dust environment around this crater. In this paper,we develop an analytical model to study the surface potential and the electrostatic dust transport around the crater. It is found that the crater’s floor can be negatively charged due to the topographic shielding, and the surface potential is as low as-175 V on the leeward crater wall.Accordingly,a large number of charged dust grains can be emitted from the leeward crater wall, with a maximum height of about 10 km and a horizontal distance of about 40 km,which brings a local dust cloud around the crater. Both the topographic shielding and the local dust cloud are qualitatively verified by a numerical simulation,in which a typical dust density of 10^(4)-10^(5)m^(-3)is found near the crater. Our results are important to the environmental assessment for future explorations near the crater.Furthermore, the results are helpful to understand the surface charging and the electrostatic dust transport on the other airless bodies. | Chengxuan ZHAO Hong GAN Lianghai XIE Yi WANG Yongjun WANG Jingyan HONG | 2023 | Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,10: | 0
Proton pitch angle distributions in the Martian induced magnetosphere: A survey of Tianwen-1 Mars Ion and Neutral Particle Analyzer observations显示文摘The pitch angle distributions of ions and electrons can be affected by various processes;thus, they can serve as an important indicator of the physical mechanisms driving the dynamics of space plasmas. From observations from the Mars Ion and Neutral Particle Analyzer onboard the Tianwen-1 orbiter,we calculated the pitch angle distributions of protons in the Martian induced magnetosphere by using information from the magnetohydrodynamically simulated magnetic field, and we statistically analyzed the spatial occurrence pattern of different types of pitch angle distributions.Even though no symmetrical features were seen in the dataset,we found the dominance of the field-aligned distribution type over the energy range from 188 to 6232 eV.Maps of the occurrence rate showed the preferential presence of a trapped-like distribution at the lower altitudes of the surveyed nightside region.Although our results are more or less restricted by the adopted magnetic field, they indicate the complexity of the near-Mars proton pitch angle distributions and infer the possibility of wave–particle interactions in the Martian induced magnetosphere. | TaiFeng Jin BinBin Ni LingGao Kong AiBing Zhang Lei Li Song Fu Xing Cao WenYa Li BinBin Tang LiangHai Xie YiTeng Zhang ShuYue Pang XiaoTong Yun HengLe Du FuHao Qiao LiMin Wang JiJie Ma | 2023 | Earth and Planetary Physics2023,7,5: | 0
