2Development of a bifurcation analysis approach based on gPROMS platform显示文摘A bifurcation analysis approach is developed based on the process simulator gPROMS platform, which can automatically trace a solution path, detect and pass the bifurcation points and check the stability of solutions. The arclength continuation algorithm is incorporated as a process entity in gPROMS to overcome the limit of turning points and get multiple solutions with respect to a user-defined parameter. The bifurcation points are detected through a bifurcation test function τ which is written in C ++ routine as a foreign object connected with gPROMS through Foreign Process Interface. The stability analysis is realized by evaluating eigenvalues of the Jacobian matrix of each steady state solution. Two reference cases of an adiabatic CSTR and a homogenous azeotropic distillation from literature are studied, which successfully validate the reliability of the proposed approach. 4Population transcriptomics reveals a potentially positive role of expression diversity in adaptation显示文摘While it is widely accepted that genetic diversity determines the potential of adaptation,the role that gene expression variation plays in adaptation remains poorly known.Here we show that gene expression diversity could have played a positive role in the adaptation of Miscanthus lutarioriparius.RNA-seq was conducted for 80 individuals of the species,with half planted in the energy crop domestication site and the other half planted in the control site near native habitats.A leaf reference transcriptome consisting of 18,503 high-quality transcripts was obtained using a pipeline developed for de novo assembling with population RNA-seq data.The population structure and genetic diversity of M.lutarioriparius were estimated based on 30,609 genic single nucleotide polymorphisms.Population expression(Ep) and expression diversity(Ed)were defined to measure the average level and the magnitude of variation of a gene expression in the population,respectively.It was found that expression diversity increased while genetic Resediversity decreased after the species was transplanted from the native habitats to the harsh domestication site,especially for genes involved in abiotic stress resistance,histone methylation,and biomass synthesis under water limitation.The increased expression diversity could have enriched phenotypic variation directly subject to selections in the new environment.Qin Xu Shilai Xing Caiyun Zhu Wei Liu Yangyang Fan Qian Wang Zhihong Song Wenhui Yang Fan Luo Fei Shang Lifang Kang Wenli Chen Juan Yan Jianqiang Li Tao Sang 2015Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2015,57,3:1

6Scores of amino acid 0D-3D information as applied in cleavage site prediction and better specificity elucidation for human immunodeficiency virus type 1 protease显示文摘A new set of descriptors,namely score vectors of the zero dimension,one dimension,two dimensions and three dimensions(SZOTT),was derived from principle component analysis of a matrix of 1369 structural variables including 0D,1D,2D and 3D information for the 20 coded amino acids. SZOTT scales were then used in cleavage site prediction of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 protease. Linear discriminant analysis(LDA) and support vector machines(SVM) were applied to developing models to predict the cleavage sites. The results obtained by linear discriminant analysis(LDA) and support vector machines(SVM) are as follows. The Matthews correlation coefficients(MCC) by the resubstitution test,leave-one-out cross validation(LOOCV) and external validation are 0.879 and 0.911,0.849 and 0.901,0.822 and 0.846,respectively. The receiver operating characteristic(ROC) analysis showed that the SVM model possesses better simulative and predictive ability in comparison with the LDA model. 7Orange-red, green, and blue fiuorescence carbon dots for white light emitting diodes显示文摘Fluorescent carbon dots(CDs) are admirable nanomaterials due to their superior optical properties and low cost.However,regulation of the emission colors in CDs for lighting device still remains a challenge.In this work,we developed a green hydrothermal method to obtain three emission colors of CDs using L-tyrosine(for blue CDs),o-phenylendiamine(for green CDs) and L-tyrosine/o-phenylendiamine mixture(for orange-red CDs).These CDs possess good water dispersibility,strong emission with high quantum yields,and excellent photostability.Furthermore,the resulting CDs were dispersed in polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) matrix to yield solid state films,where the self-quenching effect in solid state was effectively avoided.A full-color light-emitting diode was fabricated by packing the CDs-PVA composites on the top of a UV-chip,which have superior potential applications in CDs-based solid-state lighting system.Ling Jin Li Zhang Lei Yang Xingrong Wu Cheng Zhang Kang Wei Lifang He Xinya Han Hongbin Qiao Abdullah MAsiri Khalid AAlamry Kui Zhang 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,15:1
8Quenched Galaxies are Important Host Candidates of Binary Black Hole and Binary Neutron Star Mergers显示文摘In this work,we present the probabilities of mergers of binary black holes(BBHs)and binary neutron stars(BNSs)as functions of stellar mass,metallicity,specific star formation rate(sSFR),and age for galaxies with redshift z≤0.1.Using the binary-star evolution(BSE)code and some fitting formulae,we construct a phenomenological model of cosmic gravitational wave(GW)merger events.By using the Bayesian analysis method and the observations from Advanced LIGO and Virgo,we obtain the relevant parameters of the phenomenological model(such as the maximum black hole mass is 93_(-22)^(+73)M_(⊙)).Combining the above model results with the galaxy catalog given by the EMERGE empirical galaxy model,we find the normalized probability of occurrence of a merger event varying with log10 sSFR yr(-1)for galaxies with z≤0.1 is different from that in previous studies,that is,two peaks exist in this work while there is only one peak(log_(10)(sSFR/yr^(−1))=−10)in the previous work.The sSFR value corresponding to the new peak is log_(10)(sSFR/yr^(−1))=−12 and in line with the value(log_(10)(sSFR yr^-1)=-12.65_(-0.66)^(+0.44)of NGC 4493,the host galaxy of BNS merger event GW170817.The new peak is caused by today’s quenched galaxies,which give a large contribution to the total SFR at high redshift in the EMERGE empirical galaxy model.Moreover,we find that the BNS mergers are most likely detected in galaxies with age∼11 Gyr,which is greater than previous results(6−8Gyr)and close to the age of NGC 4993,13.2_(-0.9)^(+0.5)Gyr.Xiaobo Gong Feng-Hui Zhang Xiaoyu Kang Lifang Li 2023Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2023,23,9:0
9Exploring the Mechanism of CircRNA-vgll3 in Osteogenically Differentiated Human Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells显示文摘Objective:To explore the mechanism of circRNA-vgll3 in osteogenic differentiation of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells.Methods:BMSCs cells were transfected with circRNA-vgll3,and divided into circRNA-vgll3 high-level group,circRNA-vgll3 low-level group,and negative control group(circRNA-vgll3 not transfected)according to the amount of transfection.The proliferation and apoptosis of BMSCs osteoblasts in each group were analyzed,and the alkaline phosphatase(ALP)activity,type I collagen gray value,bone morphogenetic protein 2(BMP-2),Runx2 protein,and mRNA expression levels were detected.Results:The circRNA-vgll3 low-level group had a significant inhibitory effect on the proliferation of BMSCs osteoblasts,and the apoptosis rate of the circRNA-vgll3 low-level group was significantly higher than that of the circRNA-vgll3 high-level group(P<0.05);ALP activity,type I collagen gray value,BMP-2,Runx2 protein,and mRNA expression levels in the high-level circRNA-vgll3 group were significantly higher than those in the low-level circRNA-vgll3 group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Overexpression of circRNA-vgll3 can promote the osteogenic differentiation ability of BMSCs,while low expression of circRNA-vgll3 can inhibit the osteogenic differentiation ability of BMSCs.The main mechanism of action is that circRNA-vgll3 can affect osteogenic differentiation by regulating the Runx2 protein.Yajie Huo Yu Mao Fang Luo Fengjiao Zhang Lifang Xie Xiaoke Zhang Kai Liu Ling Sun Hongmei Liu Lige Song Huanhuan Wang Zhiqiang Kang 2023Journal of Clinical and Nursing Research2023,7,4:0
10Lithology Classification Based on Set-Valued Identification Method显示文摘Lithology classification using well logs plays a key role in reservoir exploration.This paper studies the problem of lithology identification based on the set-valued method(SV),which uses the SV model to establish the relation between logging data and lithologic types at a certain depth point.In particular,the system model is built on the assumption that the noise between logging data and lithologic types is normally distributed,and then the system parameters are estimated by SV method based on the existing identification criteria.The logging data of Shengli Oilfield in Jiyang Depression are used to verify the effectiveness of SV method.The results indicate that the SV model classifies lithology more accurately than the Logistic Regression model(LR)and more stably than uninterpretable models on imbalanced dataset.Specifically,the Macro-F1 of the SV models(i.e.,SV(3),SV(5),and SV(7))are higher than 85%,where the sandstone samples account for only 22%.In addition,the SV(7)lithology identification system achieves the best stability,which is of great practical significance to reservoir exploration.LI Jing WU Lifang LU Wenjun WANG Ting KANG Yu FENG Deyong ZHOU Hansheng 2022Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2022,35,5:0
11Physiological mechanisms underlying reduced photosynthesis in wheat leaves grown in the field under conditions of nitrogen and water deficiency显示文摘Reduced photosynthesis results directly from nitrogen or water deficiency in wheat plants,and leads to a decrease in grain yield.In this study,by measuring the effects of water and N deficiencies,both individually and combined,we characterized the responses of wheat(Triticum aestivum L.Yumai 49-198)plants to these two deficiencies using physiological measurements and comparative proteomics.Significant decreases in grain yield and leaf photosynthetic performance were observed in all deficiency conditions,and 106 photosynthetic proteins that showed responses were identified.Nitrogen deficiency induced the least change in photosynthetic proteins,and similar changes in most of these proteins were also observed for the combined nitrogen and water deficiencies.Water deficiency induced the largest change in photosynthetic proteins and resulted in the lowest 1000-kernel weight.Severe decreases in photosynthesis in both the water-deficiency and combined N and water deficiency groups were reflected mainly in an imbalanced ATP/NADPH ratio associated with the light reaction,which influences carbon metabolism in the Calvin cycle.Photorespiration was respectively stimulated or inhibited by N or water deficiency,while suppression of photorespiratory flux and activation of nitrogen recycling were observed in the combined N and water deficiency treatments.Comparison of photosynthetic proteins between experimental sites suggested that precipitation affected linear electron flow in the photoreaction,and thus photosynthetic efficiency.Our results provide a baseline for future studies of the roles of these photosynthetic proteins in the response to N or water deficiency and their effect on 1000-kernel weight.Juan Kang Yingying Chu Geng Ma Yanfei Zhang Xiaoyan Zhang Mao Wang Hongfang Lu Lifang Wang Guozhang Kang Dongyun Ma Yingxin Xie Chenyang Wang 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,2:0
