1Scattering of SH waves by a scalene triangular hill显示文摘The influence of local landforms on ground motion is an important problem.The antiplane response of a scalene triangular hill to incident SH waves is studied in this paper by using a complex function,moving coordinates and auxiliary functions.First,the model is divided into two domains:a scalene triangular hill with a semi-circular bottom;and a half space with a semi-circular canyon.Wave functions that satisfy the zero-stress condition at the triangular wedges and at the horizontal surface are constructed in both domains.Then,considering the displacement continuity and stress equilibrium, algebraic equations are established.Finally,numerical examples are provided to illustrate the influence of the geometry of the hill and the characteristics of the incident waves on the ground motions.Lin Shuzhi Qiu Faqiang Liu Diankui 2010Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2010,9,1:4

4Identification of flexible buildings with bending deformation and the unmeasured earthquake ground motion显示文摘It is important to explore efficient algorithms for the identification of both structural parameters and unmeasured earthquake ground motion.Recently,the authors proposed an algorithm for the identification of shear-type buildings and unknown earthquake excitation.In this paper,it is extended to the investigation of the identification of flexible buildings with bending deformation and the unmeasured earthquake ground motion.In the absolute co-ordinate system,the unmeasured ground motion can be treated as an unknown translational force and a bending moment at the 1st floor level of a flexible building.Structural unknown parameters above the 1st story of the building can be identified by the extended Kalman estimator and the 1st story stiffness and the unmeasured ground motion are subsequently estimated based on the least-squares estimation.The proposed algorithm is further extended to the identification of tall bending-type buildings based on substructure approach.Inter-connection effect between sub-buildings is treated as‘additional unknown inputs’to sub-buildings,which are estimated by the extended Kalman estimator without the measurements of rotational responses.Numerical examples demonstrate the identification of a multi-story,tall bending-type building and its unmeasured earthquake ground motions using only partial measurements of structural absolute responses.LEI Ying HE MingYu LAI ZhiLu LIN ShuZhi 2015Science China(Technological Sciences)2015,58,3:0

6Boosting wheat functional genomics via an indexed EMS mutant library of KN9204显示文摘A better understanding of wheat functional genomics can improve targeted breeding for better agronomic traits and environmental adaptation.However,the lack of gene-indexed mutants and the low transformation efficiency of wheat limit in-depth gene functional studies and genetic manipulation for breeding.In this study,we created a library for KN9204,a popular wheat variety in northern China,with a reference genome,transcriptome,and epigenome of different tissues,using ethyl methyl sulfonate(EMS)mutagenesis.This library contains a vast developmental diversity of critical tissues and transition stages.Exome capture sequencing of 2090 mutant lines using KN9204 genome-designed probes revealed that 98.79%of coding genes had mutations,and each line had an average of 1383 EMS-type SNPs.We identified new allelic variations for crucial agronomic trait-related genes such as Rht-D1,Q,TaTB1,and WFZP.We tested 100 lines with severemutations in 80 NAC transcription factors(TFs)under drought and salinity stress and identified 13 lines with altered sensitivity.Further analysis of three lines using transcriptome and chromatin accessibility data revealed hundreds of direct NAC targets with altered transcription patterns under salt or drought stress,including SNAC1,DREB2B,CML16,and ZFP182,factors known to respond to abiotic stress.Thus,we have generated and indexed a KN9204 EMS mutant library that can facilitate functional genomics research and offer resources for genetic manipulation of wheat.Dongzhi Wang Yongpeng Li Haojie Wang Yongxin Xu Yiman Yang Yuxin Zhou Zhongxu Chen Yuqing Zhou Lixuan Gui Yi Guo Chunjiang Zhou Wenqiang Tang Shuzhi Zheng Lei Wang Xiulin Guo Yingjun Zhang Fa Cui Xuelei Lin Yuling Jiao Yuehui He Junming Li Fei He Xigang Liu Jun Xiao 2023Plant Communications2023,4,4:0
