3Experimental research on influencing factors of wet removal of NO from coal-fired flue gas by UV/H_2O_2 advanced oxidation process显示文摘Wet removal of NO from coal-fired flue gas by UV/H2O2 Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) were investigated in a self-designed UV-bubble reactor. Several main influencing factors (UV intensity, H2O2 initial concentration, initial pH value, solution temperature, NO initial concentration, liquid-gas ratio and O2 percentage content) on the NO removal efficiency were studied. The results showed that UV intensity, H2O2 initial concentration, NO initial concentration and liquid-gas ratio are the main influencing factors. In the best conditions, the highest NO removal efficiency by UV/H2O2 advanced oxidation process could reach 82.9%. 5Study on mechanism of mercury oxidation by fly ash from coal combustion显示文摘To understand the interaction of fly ash and mercury, systematic experiments on mercury oxidation in single flue gas composition are conducted on a fixed bed reactor system, the desorption rate and speciation of mercury are valuated. The results indicate that fly ash itself can significantly promote elemental mercury oxidation. A classification of fly ash activated sites is developed according to the speciation of mercury during adsorption-desorption tests, the reaction mechanism of mercury oxidation by fly ash is proposed. Acid gas can promote mercury oxidation and improve the stability of oxidation product. 7Review of heterogeneous photochemical reactions of NOy on aerosol-A possible daytime source of nitrous acid (HONO) in the atmosphere显示文摘As an important precursor of hydroxyl radical, nitrous acid (HONO) plays a key role in the chemistry of the lower atmosphere. Recent atmospheric measurements and model calculations show strong enhancement for HONO formation during daytime, while they are inconsistent with the known sources in the atmosphere, suggesting that current models are lacking important sources for HONO. In this article, heterogeneous photochemical reactions of nitric acid/nitrate anion and nitrogen oxide on various aerosols were reviewed and their potential contribution to HONO formation was also discussed. It is demonstrated that HONO can be formed by photochemical reaction on surfaces with deposited HNO3 , by photocatalytic reaction of NO2 on TiO2 or TiO2 -containing materials, and by photochemical reaction of NO2 on soot, humic acids or other photosensitized organic surfaces. 8Fundamental and Technical Challenges for a Compatible Design Scheme of Oxyfuel Combustion Technology显示文摘Oxyfuel combustion with carbon capture and sequestration(CCS) is a carbon-reduction technology for use in large-scale coal-fired power plants. Significant progress has been achieved in the research and development of this technology during its scaling up from 0.4 MWth to 3 MWth and 35 MWth by the combined efforts of universities and industries in China. A prefeasibility study on a 200 MWe large-scale demonstration has progressed well, and is ready for implementation. The overall research development and demonstration(RD&D) roadmap for oxyfuel combustion in China has become a critical component of the global RD&D roadmap for oxyfuel combustion. An air combustion/oxyfuel combustion compatible design philosophy was developed during the RD&D process. In this paper, we briefly address fundamental research and technology innovation efforts regarding several technical challenges, including combustion stability, heat transfer, system operation, mineral impurities, and corrosion. 9Kinetics of early methane generation from Green River shale显示文摘During oil/gas exploration in an area, there is a question as to whether methane in the strata was generated \%in situ\% mainly by thermal degradation of local organic matter. The key to the question is whether the kerogen could produce methane of more than 80 mL/g TOC, when its \%R\%\-o increased from initial (0.36%) to current value of 0.70% during thermal evolution. The authors have made efforts to answer this question by the kinetics method. First, a series of pyrolysis experiments were carried out to obtain data of methane yield and \%R\%\-o evolution, from which kinetic parameters of methane and \%R\%\-o were derived; then these parameters were extrapolated to the geological condition and finally, a methane yield, 96 mL/g TOC, was predicted. 10A case study of Asian dust storm particles:Chemical composition,reactivity to SO_2 and hygroscopic properties显示文摘Mineral dust comprises a great fraction of the global aerosol loading,but remains the largest uncertainty in predictions of the future climate due to its complexity in composition and physico-chemical properties.In this work,a case study characterizing Asian dust storm particles was conducted by multiple analysis methods,including SEM-EDS,XPS,FT-IR,BET,TPD/mass and Knudsen cell/mass.The morphology,elemental fraction,source distribution,true uptake coefficient for SO 2,and hygroscopic behavior were studied.The major components of Asian dust storm particles are aluminosilicate,SiO 2 and CaCO 3,with organic compounds and inorganic nitrate coated on the surface.It has a low reactivity towards SO 2 with a true uptake coefficient,5.767×10-6,which limits the conversion of SO 2 to sulfate during dust storm periods.The low reactivity also means that the heterogeneous reactions of SO 2 in both dry and humid air conditions have little effect on the hygroscopic behavior of the dust particles.Qingxin Ma Yongchun Liu Chang Liu Jinzhu Ma Hong He 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,1:7

12The generation and accumulation of natural gas from Yinan 2 gas pool in Kuqa Depression显示文摘By using the methods of hydrocarbon generation kinetics and carbon isotope kinetics, combined with geological background of natural gas pool formation, the generation and accumulation of natural gas from Yinan 2 gas pool was studied in Kuqa Depression of the Tarim Basin. Natural gas of Yinan 2 gas pool is mainly derived from Middle and Lower Jurassic coal-bearing source rocks, and generally belongs to long time-accumulated gas. It is suggested that Yinan 2 gas is chiefly accumulated in the last 5 Ma, its Ro ranges from 1.25% to 1.95%, and the loss rate of natural gas is about 25%-30%. 13Assessment of Human Impacts on Vegetation in Built-up Areas in China Based on AVHRR,MODIS and DMSP_OLS Nighttime Light Data,1992–2010显示文摘Since the reform and opening-up program started in 1978,the level of urbanization has increased rapidly in China.Rapid urban expansion and restructuring have had significant impacts on the ecological environment especially within built-up areas.In this study,ArcGIS 10,ENVI 4.5,and Visual FoxPro 6.0 were used to analyze the human impacts on vegetation in the built-up areas of 656Chinese cities from 1992 to 2010.Firstly,an existing algorithm was refined to extract the boundaries of the built-up areas based on the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program Operational Linescan System(DMSP_OLS)nighttime light data.This improved algorithm has the advantages of high accuracy and speed.Secondly,a mathematical model(Human impacts(HI))was constructed to measure the impacts of human factors on vegetation during rapid urbanization based on Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer(AVHRR)Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI)and Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS)NDVI.HI values greater than zero indicate relatively beneficial effects while values less than zero indicate proportionally adverse effects.The results were analyzed from four aspects:the size of cities(metropolises,large cities,medium-sized cities,and small cities),large regions(the eastern,central,western,and northeastern China),administrative divisions of China(provinces,autonomous regions,and municipalities)and vegetation zones(humid and semi-humid forest zone,semi-arid steppe zone,and arid desert zone).Finally,we discussed how human factors impacted on vegetation changes in the built-up areas.We found that urban planning policies and developmental stages impacted on vegetation changes in the built-up areas.The negative human impacts followed an inverted′U′shape,first rising and then falling with increase of urban scales.China′s national policies,social and economic development affected vegetation changes in the built-up areas.The findings can provide a scientific basis for municipal planning departments,a decision-making reference for government,and scientific guidance for sustainable development in China.LIU Qinping YANG Yongchun TIAN Hongzhen ZHANG Bo GU Lei 2014Chinese Geographical Science2014,24,2:5
14Distinct potential aerosol masses under different scenarios of transport at a suburban site of Beijing显示文摘In order to evaluate the secondary aerosol formation potential at a suburban site of Beijing,in situ perturbation experiments in a potential aerosol mass(PAM) reactor were carried out in the winter of 2014.The variations of secondary aerosol formation as a function of time,OH exposure,and the concentrations of gas phase pollutants and particles were reported in this study.Two periods with distinct secondary aerosol formation potentials,marked as Period Ⅰ and Period Ⅱ,were identified during the observation.In Period Ⅰ,the secondary aerosol formation potential was high,and correlated well to the air pollutants,i.e.,SO_2,NO_2,and CO.The maximal secondary aerosol formation was observed with an aging time equivalent to about 3 days of atmospheric oxidation.In period Ⅱ,the secondary aerosol formation potential was low,with no obvious correlation with the air pollutants.Meanwhile,the aerosol mass decreased,instead of showing a peak,with increasing aging time.Backward trajectory analysis during the two periods confirmed that the air mass in Period Ⅰwas mainly from local sources,while it was attributed mostly to long distance transport in Period Ⅱ.The air lost its reactivity during the long transport and the particles became highly aged,resulting in a low secondary aerosol formation potential.Our experimental results indicated that the in situ measurement of the secondary aerosol formation potential could provide important information for evaluating the contributions of local emission and long distance transport to the aerosol pollution.Biwu Chu Yongchun Liu Qingxin Ma Jinzhu Ma Hong He Gang Wang Shuiyuan Cheng Xinming Wang 2016Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,1:5
15Gold nanoparticles doped metal-organic frameworks as near-infrared light-enhanced cascade nanozyme against hypoxic tumors显示文摘We report gold nanoparticles(AuNPs)doped iron-based metal-organic frameworks(GIM)which displays near-infrared light(NIR)-enhanced cascade nanozyme against hypoxic tumors.Due to the strong protein adsorption-induced surface passivation,AuNPs suffer from the loss of glucose oxidase(GOx)activity.However,GIM could protect the GOx-like activity of AuNPs with the satisfactory shield capability.In addition,GIM exhibited excellent photothermal conversion ability and unique NIR light-enhanced GOx-like activity,which could efficiently increase the endogenous H2O2 production.Meanwhile,as the produced H2O2 is converted by GIM into O2 and highly toxic OH.Thus,GIM-catalyzed cascade reactions with NIR light irradiation not only offer the O2 but also promote the reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation at tumor sites.The produced O2 could be further applied to AuNPs catalytic oxidation of glucose and relieve hypoxic condition of tumor microenvironment(TME).As a proof-of-concept study,GIM demonstrates the admirable tumor ablation under NIR irradiation in vivo.Xinli Liu Yongchun Pan Jingjing Yang Yanfeng Gao Ting Huang Xiaowei Luan Yuzhen Wang Yujun Song 2020Nano Research2020,13,3:5
16In situ DRIFTS study of hygroscopic behavior of mineral aerosol显示文摘In situ difflusion reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy was used to study the water adsorption on mineral oxides(SiO2,α-Al2O3,MgO,Fe2O3,TiO2).The results showed that all the water adsorption isotherms were well fitted with the Brunauer-EmmettTeller(BET)-Ⅲ type equation,with the calculated monolayers occurring at 24%-30% relative humidity.It showed that about 1-5 layers of water adsorbed on oxides surfaces in ambient relative humidity(20%-90%).The measured deliquescence relative humidity of NaCl was(74 ± 1)%,which demonstrated that DRIFTS is a useful method for the study the hygroscopic behavior of mineral dust.In addition,the limits of DRIFTS were also discussed.Qingxin Ma,Hong He,Yongchun Liu State Key Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry and Ecotoxicology,Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 100085,China. 2010Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,4:5
17Spectrofluorimetric determination of trace amounts of cadmium with 2,4-dihydroxyacetophenone benzoylhydrazone显示文摘A new fluorescent reagent 2,4-dihydroxyacetophenone benzoylhydrazone (DHAPBH) was synthesized and its ionization constants were established spectrophotometrically. The fluorescent reaction of this reagent with cadmium was studied. The cadmium ion can form a stable binary chelate with DHAPBH, having a mole ratio of 1:2 in the pH range of 3.6-4.4. Based on this chelation reaction, a highly sensitive spectrofluorimetric method was developed for determination of trace amounts of cadmium in a water-ethanol (7:3 in volume ratio) medium at pH = 4.0. Under these conditions, the Cd-DHAPBH complex has excitation and emission maxima at 306 and 437 nm, respectively. The linear range of the method is from 0.36 to 140 μg?L?1 and the detection limit is 0.27 μg?L?1 of cadmium. Interferences of other ions were stud- ied. 18Influence of Nano-Al Concentrates on the Corrosion Resistance of Epoxy Coatings显示文摘A two-stage process was used to produce nano-composite epoxy coatings.The first step involved preparing nano-AI concentrates with high concentration and low viscosity,and the second step produced nanocomposite epoxy coatings by mixing the nano-AI concentrates and epoxy resin.Later,the coating was examined with immersion and salt spray tests.The coatings were characterized by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS),scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).The results showed that the 5%nano-AI significantly improves the corrosion resistance of the coatings.There are two effects of nano-AI on the coating.Nano-AI is corroded initially to protect the substrate from corrosion, and then the aluminum oxide and aluminum hydroxide were produced after corrosion of nano-AI,which hindered the transmission of corrosion fluid into the coatings.Yongchun Liang Fu-Chun Liu Ming Nie Shuyan Zhao Jiedong Lin En-Hou Han 2013Journal of Materials Science & Technology2013,29,4:4
19Differences of the oxidation process and secondary organic aerosol formation at low and high precursor concentrations显示文摘Current atmospheric quality models usually underestimate the level of ambient secondary organic aerosol(SOA), one of the possible reasons is that the precursors at different concentrations may undergo different oxidation processes and further affect SOA formation. Therefore, there is a need to perform more chamber studies to disclose the influence. In this work, SOA formation over a wide range of initial precursor concentrations(tens of ppb to hundreds of ppb levels) was investigated in a 30 m3 indoor smog chamber,and mainly through the analysis of multiple generations of VOCs detected from HR-To FPTRMS to expound the difference in the oxidation process between low and high precursor concentrations. Compared to high initial concentrations, gas-phase intermediates formed at low concentrations had a higher intensity by about one order of magnitude, and the lowvolatility compounds also had a higher formation potential due to the competition between semi-volatile intermediates and precursors with oxidants. In addition, the formed SOA was more oxidized with higher f44 value(0.14 ± 0.02) and more relevant to real atmosphere than that formed at high concentrations.
