1Prevalence of and risk factors for tuberculosis among healthcare workers in Chinese tuberculosis facilities显示文摘Background:China is one of 22 countries with a high tuberculosis(TB)burden in the world.Healthcare workers(HCWs)have a high risk of contracting Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection due to insufficient infection control practices.We conducted a cross-sectional study to explore the prevalence of TB and its associated risk factors among HCWs in Chinese TB facilities.Methods:Two hundred and forty-one TB facilities employing a total of 9663 HCWs were selected from 12 provinces in China to represent healthcare settings at the provincial,prefectural,and county levels.Structured questionnaires were used to collect information on TB infection control practices and HCWs in those facilities.Data was double entered into EpiData 3.1;TB prevalence and associated risk factors were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 with bivariate and multivariate regression models.Results:The results showed that 71 HCWs had been diagnosed with TB,accounting for a prevalence of 760/100000.The multivariate analysis showed that associated risk factors included belonging to the age group of 51 years and above(aOR:6.17,95%CI:1.35-28.28),being a nurse(aOR=3.09,95%CI:1.15-8.32),implementation of 0-9 items of management measures(aOR=2.57,95%CI:1.37-4.80),and implementation of 0-1 items of ventilation measures(aOR=2.42,95%CI:1.31-4.47).Conclusion:This was the first national large sampling survey on TB prevalence among HCWs in China.It was found that the implementation of TB infection control practices in some facilities was poor.The TB prevalence in HCWs was higher than that in the general population.Therefore,TB infection control practices in Chinese medical facilities should be strengthened.Xiao-Ning Wang Tian-Lun He Meng-Jie Geng Yu-Dan Song Ji-Chun Wang Min Liu Sarah Jayne Hoosdally Ana Luíza Gibertoni Cruz Fei Zhao Yu Pang Yan-Lin Zhao Guang-Xue He 2018Infectious Diseases of Poverty2018,7,1:2

3Neutrophile-to-lymphocyte,lymphocyte-to-monocyte,and platelet-tolymphocyte ratios as prognostic and response biomarkers for resectable locally advanced gastric cancer显示文摘BACKGROUND Perioperative fluorouracil plus leucovorin,oxaliplatin,and docetaxel(FLOT)improves prognosis in locally advanced gastric cancer(LAGC).Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte(NLR),lymphocyte-tomonocyte(LMR),and platelet-to-lymphocyte(PLR)ratios are prognostic biomarkers but not predictive factors.AIM To assess blood ratios’(NLR,LMR and PLR)potential predictive response to FLOT and survival outcomes in resectable LAGC patients.METHODS This was a multicentric retrospective study investigating the clinical potential of NLR,LMR,and PLR in resectable LAGC patients,treated with at least one preoperative FLOT cycle,from 12 Portuguese hospitals.Means were compared through non-parametric Mann-Whitney tests.Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis defined the cut-off values as:High PLR>141 for progression and>144 for mortality;high LMR>3.56 for T stage regression(TSR).Poisson and Cox regression models the calculated relative risks/hazard ratios,using NLR,pathologic complete response,TSR,and tumor regression grade(TRG)as independent variables,and overall survival(OS)as the dependent variable.RESULTS This study included 295 patients(mean age,63.7 years;59.7% males).NLR was correlated with survival time(r=0.143,P=0.014).PLR was associated with systemic progression during FLOT(P=0.022)and mortality(P=0.013),with high PLR patients having a 2.2-times higher risk of progression[95% confidence interval(CI):0.89-5.26]and 1.5-times higher risk of mortality(95%CI:0.92-2.55).LMR was associated with TSR,and high LMR patients had a 1.4-times higher risk of achieving TSR(95%CI:1.01-1.99).OS benefit was found with TSR(P=0.015)and partial/complete TRG(P<0.001).Patients without TSR and with no evidence of pathological response had 2.1-times(95%CI:1.14-3.96)and 2.8-times(95%CI:1.6-5)higher risk of death.CONCLUSION Higher NLR is correlated with longer survival time.High LMR patients have a higher risk of decreasing T stage,whereas high PLR patients have higher odds of progressing under FLOT and dying.Patients with TSR and a pathological response have better OS and lower risk of dying.Tiago Cruz Tomás Ines Eiriz Marina Vitorino Rodrigo Vicente Joao Gramaca Alicia Guadalupe Oliveira Paulo Luz Mafalda Baleiras Ana Sofia Spencer Luísa Leal Costa Patrícia Liu Joana Mendonca Magno Dinis Teresa Padrao Marisol Correia Goncalo Atalaia Michelle Silva Teresa Fiúza 2022World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology2022,14,7:2

19Observatory science with eXTP显示文摘In this White Paper we present the potential of the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry(eXTP) mission for studies related to Observatory Science targets. These include flaring stars, supernova remnants, accreting white dwarfs, low and high mass X-ray binaries, radio quiet and radio loud active galactic nuclei, tidal disruption events, and gamma-ray bursts. eXTP will be excellently suited to study one common aspect of these objects: their often transient nature. 20Using Support Vector Machines and neural networks to classify Merlot wines from South America显示文摘Wines with a clear geographical origin are an issue of interest for consumers and food industries.This paper presents a data mining study of Merlot wines from South America to identify the fingerprint of their geographical origin.A group of samples from Argentina(n=17),Brazil(n=12),Chile(n=48),and Uruguay(n=6)was analyzed.Twenty chemical compounds were determined by high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).These compounds include antioxidant activity,total polyphenols,total anthocyanins,individual anthocyanins and color.Four binary classification problems were performed(Brazil versus non-Brazil,Argentina versus non-Argentina,Chile versus non-Chile,and Uruguay versus non-Uruguay)to investigate the geographic characteristics of each country.Through the evaluation of binary classifications in our dataset it was possible to identify the main variables(chemical compounds)that discriminate between the countries.We used the following algorithms:Synthetic Minority over-sample Technique and under-sampling to balance the dataset of each classification approach,the Relief algorithm to obtain a variable importance ranking and the classifiers Support Vector Machines,Multilayer Perceptron and Radial Basis Function Network with dynamic decay adjustment.SVM model obtained the highest performance measures among the classifiers for each dataset(93.73%of accuracy for the Brazil versus non-Brazil,91.18%for the Argentina versus non-Argentina,79.16%for the Chile versus non-Chile,and 91.67%for the Uruguay versus non-Uruguay classification).These accuracies were achieved by the search of the possible variable subsets according to Relief for each classification approach.We found that some variables,such as DPPH,wine color and individual anthocyanins,are among the most important variables in the characterization of Merlot wines.Nattane Luı´za Costa Laura Andrea Garcı´a Llobodanin Inar Alves Castro Rommel Barbosa 2019Information Processing in Agriculture2019,6,2:0
