1Application of Stable Isotope Tracing Technologies in Identification of Transformation among Waters in Sanjiang Plain,Northeast China显示文摘In order to investigate the transformation among the precipitation,groundwater,and surface water in the Sanjiang Plain,Northeast China,precipitation and groundwater samples which were collected at the meteorological station of the Sanjiang Mire Wetland Experimental Station,Chinese Academy of Sciences and the surface water which collected from the Wolulan River were used to identify the transformation of three types of water.The isotope composition of different kinds of water sources were analyzed via stable isotope(deuterium and oxygen-18) investigation of natural water.The results show a clear seasonal difference in the stable isotopes in precipitation.During the cold half-year,the mean stable isotope in precipitation in the Sanjiang Plain reaches its minimum with the minimum temperature.The δ18O and δD values are high in the rainy season.In the Wolulan River,the evaporation is the highest in August and September.The volume of evaporation and the replenishment to the river is mostly same.The groundwater is recharged more by the direct infiltration of precipitation than by the river flow.The results of this study indicate that the water bodies in the Sanjiang Plain have close hydrologic relationships,and that the transformation among each water system frequently occurs.XU Yingying YAN Baixing LUAN Zhaoqing ZHU Hui WANG Lixia 2013Chinese Geographical Science2013,23,4:6

4A survey on hearing acuity of centenarians in Hainan Province显示文摘Objective: This study aimed to investigate hearing acuity of centenarians in Hainan Province and provide basis for interventional considerations.Method: Door-to-door follow-up was conducted to investigate hearing acuity of centenarians(aged 100 years or above) in Hainan Province. Physical examination, pure tone audiometry and acoustic impedance test were performed, and the results were analyzed.Result: A total of 460 centenarians(920 ears) were tested by pure tone audiometry. The rate of normal hearing was 0.2%, the rate of mild hearing loss was 1.5%, 12% for moderate hearing loss, 33.9% for moderate to severe hearing loss, 37.4% for severe hearing loss is and 15% for profound hearing loss. Acoustic impedance test was performed in 340 centenarians(668 ears). Tympanogram was type A in 41.2% of the ears, type As in 34.1% ears,type Ad in 6.4%, type B in 11.8%, and type C in 4.9% of the ears, while no response was elicited in 1.5% of the ears.Conclusion: Age related sensorineural hearing loss is prevalent among centenarians in Hainan Province. 5A modified constitutive model for FRP confined concrete in circular sections and its implementation with OpenSees programming显示文摘OpenSees is a well-recognized open source platform with high compatibility,and it has a well-developed fiber element method to cope with nonlinear structural analysis.Fiber reinforced polymer(FRP)confined concrete can effectively improve the seismic performance of concrete structures.However,sophisticated constitutive models for FRP confined concrete are not available in the current version of OpenSees.In this paper,after reviewing several typical FRP confined concrete constitutive models,a modified constitutive model for FRP confined concrete in circular sections was proposed based on Lam and Teng(2003)’s model with four main modifications including the determination of FRP rupture strain,ultimate condition,envelope shape,and hysteretic rules.To embed the proposed constitutive model into OpenSees is a practical solution for engineering simulation.Hence,the secondary development of OpenSees New UserMat was briefly demonstrated and a set of critical steps were depicted in a flow chart.Finally,with the numerical implementations of a series of FRP confined concrete members covering a wide range of load cases,FRP confinement types and geometric properties,the utility and accuracy of the proposed model compared with Lam and Teng(2003)’s model and new material secondary development in OpenSees were well validated.Hui LIU Ming-hua HE Yu-qi LUAN Jia GUO Lu-lu LIU 2013Journal of Zhejiang University-Science A(Applied Physics & Engineering)2013,14,12:2
6Epidemiological Characteristics of Japanese Encephalitis in Guizhou Province,China,1971-2009显示文摘Objective The aim of the study was to establish the contemporary epidemiological characteristics of Japanese encephalitis (JE) in Guizhou Province.Methods A retrospective study of National Notifiable Disease Reporting System (NNDRS) data from 1971 through 2009,was conducted to ascertain the geographical,seasonal,and age distributions of JE incidence in Guizhou Province,China.Results A total of 68 425 JE cases were reported in Guizhou from 1971-2009.The JE cases occurred sporadically in all 9 prefectures of Guizhou,mostly among residents of rural areas.Seasonal distribution of JE remained consistent over the period from 1971-2009 with the main transmission season starting from June to September and peaking in August.JE occurred mainly in children under the age of 15 years with peak incidence in the 0-6-year age group.Pearson's correlation analysis showed that JE vaccine distribution had a negative correlation with JE incidence rates during 1971-2009 (coefficient of correlation=-0.475,P<0.01).Conclusion Over the period of 1971-2009,the JE incidence rate had declined dramatically in terms of geographical and age distributions due to JE vaccination to children at risk.ZHANG Li LUAN Rong Sheng JIANG Feng RUI Li Ping LIU Min LI Yi Xing YIN Zun Dong LUO Hui Min 2012Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2012,25,3:2

10Fine Mapping of QTLs for Stigma Exsertion Rate from Oryza glaberrima by Chromosome Segment Substitution显示文摘Stigma exsertion is an important trait for outcrossing ability in rice.Stigma exsertion rate(SER)of male sterile lines(MSLs)is a key factor affecting F1-seed production in hybrid rice.In this study,seven QTLs for SER were detected on five chromosomes using a set of single-segment substitution lines(SSSLs)derived from O.glaberrima.Three of the QTLs were mapped in the estimated intervals of 92.5–333.0 kb.qSER-5 was located in a substitution segment of 92.5 kb.qS ER-1 b and qS ER-8 b were respectively limited to 333.0 kb and 107.5 kb by secondary substitution mapping.qSER-1 b and qSER-3 had bigger additive effects of 11.5%and 11.9%,respectively,while the other five QTLs had smaller additive effects from 5.7%to 8.6%.Open reading frames were identified in the regions of qS ER-5 and qSER-8 b in O.sativa and O.glaberrima genomes.Fine mapping of the QTLs laid a foundation for the cloning of genes,and QTLs for SER will be used to develop MSLs with strong ability of outcrossing.TAN Quanya ZHU Haitao LIU Hui NI Yuerong WU Shengze LUAN Xin LIU Junwei YANG Weifeng YANG Zifeng ZENG Ruizhen LIU Guifu WANG Shaokui ZHANG Guiquan 2022Rice science2022,29,1:1
11A new microfiltration membrane with three-dimensional reticular architecture for Nano-pollutants removal from wastewater显示文摘This research provides a new insight into designing next-generation filtration materials for Nano-pollutants removal from wastewater,and potentially for gas/solid or liquid/solid separation in corrosive environment.Considering the high corrosion and oxidation resistance,Ti-40Al-10Nb-10Cr porous alloy was prepared by powder metallurgy and used as a mechanical support with a pore size of around 10 pm.Subsequently,metallic Zn nanoparticles was coated on the Ti-40Al-10Nb-10Cr porous framework by means of chemical vapor deposition,obtaining a novel microfiltration membrane with three-dimensional reticular architecture.Furthermore,the influence of Zn coating on surface morphology,pore feature,and filtration capability of Ti-40AI-10Nb-10Cr porous alloy was investigated.It is of note that the as-prepared microfiltration membrane exhibits an excellent Nanopollutants filtration efficiency of greater than 99.989%from wastewater.Most importantly,such a three-dimensional reticular architecture provides excellent structural stability,allowing the reutilization of the microfiltration membrane for at least 200 filtration cycles of wastewater treatment.Wanyuan Gui Jingru Liu Xiping Song Hui Zhang Junpin Lin Benli Luan 2021Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2021,31,3:1
12Functional diversity dominates positive species mixture effects on ecosystem multifunctionality in subtropical plantations显示文摘Mixed-species plantations generally exhibit higher ecosystem multifunctionality than monospecific plantations.However,it is unclear how tree species functional composition influences species mixture effects on ecosystem multifunctionality.We selected 171 monospecific and mixed-species plantations from nine regions across subtropical China,and quantified 13 key ecosystem functional properties to investigate how species mixture effects on ecosystem multifunctionality are modulated by functional diversity and identity.We found that ecosystem multifunctionality was significantly higher(p<0.05)in mixed tree plantations than in monospecific plantations except the mixed-conifer species plantations.Across all regions,ecosystem multifunctionality was significantly higher(p<0.05)in mixed conifer-broadleaf plantations than in monospecific plantations of the corresponding species,but not different between mixed and monospecific coniferous plantations.The magnitude of species mixture effects on ecosystem multifunctionality varied greatly with tree species compositions.Taking Cunninghamia lanceolata Lamb.as an example,the effects varied from a range of 2.0%–9.6%when mixed with a conifer species to 36%–87%when mixed with a broadleaf species.The functional diversity was the dominate driver shaping ecosystem multifunctionality,while functional identity,as expressed by community-weighted mean of specific leaf area,also had a positive effect on ecosystem multifunctionality through the increased below-ground nitrogen and phosphorus stocks regulated by specific leaf area of the mixing tree species.Our study highlights the important role of functional diversity in shaping ecosystem multifunctionality across region-wide environmental conditions.Mixed conifer-broadleaf tree plantations with distinct functional traits benefit the enhancement of ecosystem multifunctionality,and the magnitude of species mixture effects is modulated by the functional identity of tree species composition;those relationships deserve a special consideration in multifunctional management context of subtropical plantations.Xi Li Hui Wang Junwei Luan Scott X.Chang Bing Gao Yi Wang Shirong Liu 2022Forest Ecosystems2022,9,3:1
13Study on business models of distributed generation in China显示文摘Along with the implementation of electricity sales-side reform and incremental power distribution investment liberalization under China’s new round of electricity market reform, the main subjects of distributed generation investment, construction, and operations have become more various, and the approaches as well as the ways that distributed generation takes part in the market have been more flexible. How to operate distributed generation economically and efficiently in this market environment has become an urgent issue to be addressed. Based on the domestic development situation of China’s distributed generation, this paper introduces typical existing business models of distributed generation, and elaborates the correlation between electricity market reform and business models of distributed generation in depth in combination with the contents of electricity market reform. At last, several business models of distributed generation which are feasible to be implemented in China have been proposed under the new electricity market reform based on successful international distributed generation operation experiences in the terms of stimulating stakeholders’ participation in the investment and operations of distributed generation. 14Improving multiprocessor performance with fine-grain coherence bypass显示文摘Efficient and scalable cache coherence protocol is crucial to high-performance servers with sharedmemory. The directory-based cache coherence protocol is more desirable than the snooping-based protocol with respect to the scalability. However, even for the former protocol, scaling to a large number of cores is also challenging due to the additional area requirements of the directories. We observed that a significant percentage of the referenced memory blocks were only accessed by a single core(even in parallel applications) which could be considered as private memory blocks. An intuitive motivation from this observation is that memory blocks accessed by a single core do not require coherence maintenance. The issue is to identify the private block and track the change of its access pattern. We propose a novel hardware approach to(1) dynamically identify the shared memory blocks at the cache block level, and(2) bypass the coherence procedure for the private memory blocks. This approach increases the effectiveness of the directory-based approach and therefore improves the system performance. 19Reconstructing the food structure of ancient coastal inhabitants from Beiqian village:Stable isotopic analysis of fossil human bone显示文摘The Beiqian site located in Jimo city,Qingdao,a few kilometers from the modern coastline was excavated in 2007,2009 and 2011.A large number of human bones from the early Dawenkou period were unearthed.Through C and N stable isotopic analysis,the food structure of the 'Beiqian' ancestors was reconstructed and the influence of terrestrial and marine resources on their lifestyle was discussed.Based on the δ13C and δ15N stable isotopic values of human bone collagen,the analytical results obtained through a ternary mixed model reveal that the food sources of the Beiqian ancestors included about 44.1% marine species(probably shellfish and fish),34.1% C4 plants(possibly millet),and 21.8% land animals.These results indicate that they lived mainly from fishing and farming,supplemented by hunting or poultry raising.Compared with other sites in the same period,the stable isotope results show that 5000-6000 years ago,the lifestyles of ancestors in the Yangtze River basin,Yellow River basin,Northern coastal area and inland area were very different.The ancestors from the Yangtze River basin focused on rice farming and fishing,whereas the ancestors in the Yellow River basin farmed millet and raised animals.Those in coastal areas relied mostly on farming and marine fishing.WANG Fen FAN Rong KANG HaiTao JIN GuiYun LUAN FengShi FANG Hui LIN YuHai YUAN ShiLing 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,17:1
