Guaranteed transient performance based control with input saturation for near space vehicles显示文摘This paper describes the design of guaranteed transient performance based attitude control for the near space vehicle(NSV)with control input saturation using the backstepping method. To improve the robust controllability of the NSV,the parameter adaptive method is used to tackle the integrated effect of unknown time-varying disturbance and control input saturation.Based on the backstepping technique and parameter estimated outputs,a robust attitude control scheme is proposed for the NSV with input saturation.A novel robust attitude control scheme is then proposed based on a prescribed performance bound(PPB)which characterizes the convergence rate and maximum overshoot of the attitude tracking error. The closed-loop system stability under both the developed robust attitude control schemes is proved using Lyapunov’s method and uniformly asymptotical convergence of all closed-loop signals is guaranteed. Finally, simulation results are given to show the effectiveness of both the proposed robust constrained attitude control schemes. | CHEN Mou WU QinXian JIANG ChangSheng JIANG Bin | 2014 | Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,5: | 19

Radiomics for predicting perineural invasion status in rectal cancer显示文摘BACKGROUND Perineural invasion(PNI),as a key pathological feature of tumor spread, has emerged as an independent prognostic factor in patients with rectal cancer(RC).The preoperative stratification of RC patients according to PNI status is beneficial for individualized treatment and improved prognosis. However, the preoperative evaluation of PNI status is still challenging.AIM To establish a radiomics model for evaluating PNI status preoperatively in RC patients.METHODS This retrospective study enrolled 303 RC patients in a single institution from March 2018 to October 2019.These patients were classified as the training cohort(n=242)and validation cohort(n=61)at a ratio of 8:2.A large number of intraand peritumoral radiomics features were extracted from portal venous phase images of computed tomography(CT).After deleting redundant features,we tested different feature selection(n=6)and machine-learning(n=14)methods to form 84 classifiers. The best performing classifier was then selected to establish Rad-score.Finally,the clinicoradiological model(combined model)was developed by combining Rad-score with clinical factors. These models for predicting PNI were compared using receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC)analysis and area under the ROC curve(AUC).RESULTS One hundred and forty-four of the 303 patients were eventually found to be PNIpositive.Clinical factors including CT-reported T stage(cT),N stage(cN),and carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)level were independent risk factors for predicting PNI preoperatively. We established Rad-score by logistic regression analysis after selecting features with the L1-based method. The combined model was developed by combining Rad-score with cT,cN,and CEA.The combined model showed good performance to predict PNI status, with an AUC of 0.828[95%confidence interval(CI):0.774-0.873]in the training cohort and 0.801(95%CI:0.679-0.892)in the validation cohort. For comparison of the models, the combined model achieved a higher AUC than the clinical model(cT+cN+CEA)achieved(P<0.001 in the training cohort, and P=0.045 in the validation cohort).CONCLUSION The combined model incorporating Rad-score and clinical factors can provide an individualized evaluation of PNI status and help clinicians guide individualized treatment of RC patients. | Mou Li Yu-Mei Jin Yong-Chang Zhang Ya-Li Zhao Chen-Cui Huang Sheng-Mei Liu Bin Song | 2021 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2021,27,33: | 10
Multi-modal radiomics model to predict treatment response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy for locally advanced rectal cancer显示文摘BACKGROUND Neoadjuvant chemotherapy is currently recommended as preoperative treatment for locally advanced rectal cancer(LARC);however, evaluation of treatment response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy is still challenging.AIM To create a multi-modal radiomics model to assess therapeutic response after neoadjuvant chemotherapy for LARC.METHODS This retrospective study consecutively included 118 patients with LARC who underwent both computed tomography(CT)and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)before neoadjuvant chemotherapy between October 2016 and June 2019.Histopathological findings were used as the reference standard for pathological response.Patients were randomly divided into a training set(n=70)and a validation set(n=48).The performance of different models based on CT and MRI,including apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC),dynamic contrast enhanced T1 images(DCE-T1),high resolution T2-weighted imaging(HR-T2WI),and imaging features, was assessed by using the receiver operating characteristic curve analysis. This was demonstrated as area under the curve(AUC)and accuracy(ACC).Calibration plots with Hosmer-Lemeshow tests were used to investigate the agreement and performance characteristics of the nomogram.RESULTS Eighty out of 118 patients(68%)achieved a pathological response. For an individual radiomics model,HR-T2WI performed better(AUC=0.859,ACC=0.896)than CT(AUC=0.766,ACC=0.792),DCE-T1(AUC=0.812,ACC=0.854),and ADC(AUC=0.828,ACC=0.833)in the validation set.The imaging performance for extramural venous invasion detection was relatively low in both the training(AUC=0.73,ACC=0.714)and validation(AUC=0.578,ACC=0.583)sets.The multi-modal radiomics model reached an AUC of 0.925 and ACC of 0.886 in the training set,and an AUC of 0.93 and ACC of 0.875 in the validation set.For the clinical radiomics nomogram, good agreement was found between the nomogram prediction and actual observation.CONCLUSION A multi-modal nomogram using traditional imaging features and radiomics of preoperative CT and MRI adds accuracy to the prediction of treatment outcome, and thus contributes to the personalized selection of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for LARC. | Zheng-Yan Li Xiao-Dong Wang Mou Li Xi-Jiao Liu Zheng Ye Bin Song Fang Yuan Yuan Yuan Chun-Chao Xia Xin Zhang Qian Li | 2020 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,19: | 7
Overexpressing dominant-negative FGFR2-IIIb impedes lung branching morphogenesis in pigs显示文摘Genetic studies with mouse models have shown that fibroblast growth factor receptor 2-IIIb(FGFR2-IIIb)plays crucial roles in lung development and differentiation. To evaluate the effect of FGFR2-IIIb in pig lung development, we employed somatic cell nuclear transfer(SCNT) technology to generate transgenic pig fetuses overexpressing the transmembrane(dn FGFR2-IIIb-Tm) and soluble(dn FGFR2-IIIb-HFc) forms of the dominant-negative human FGFR2-IIIb driven by the human surfactant protein C(SP-C) promoter, which was specifically expressed in lung epithelia. Eight dn FGFR2-IIIb-Tm transgenic and twelve dn FGFR2-IIIb-HFc transgenic pig fetuses were collected from three and two recipient sows, respectively.Repression of FGFR2-IIIb in lung epithelia resulted in smaller lobes and retardation of alveolarization in both forms of dn FGFR2-IIIb transgenic fetuses. Moreover, the dn FGFR2-IIIb-HFc transgenic ones showed more deterioration in lung development. Our results demonstrate that disruption of FGFR2-IIIb signaling in the epithelium impedes normal branching and alveolarization in pig lungs, which is less severe than the results observed in transgenic mice. The dn FGFR2-IIIb transgenic pig is a good model for the studies of blastocyst complementation as well as the mechanisms of lung development and organogenesis. | Qin Chen Bin Fang Ying Wang Chu Li Xiaoxue Li Ronggen Wang Qiang Xiong Lining Zhang Yong Jin Manling Zhang Xiaorui Liu Lin Li Lisha Mou Rongfeng Li Haiyuan Yang Yifan Dai | 2018 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2018,45,3: | 2

Radiomics for differentiating tumor deposits from lymph node metastasis in rectal cancer显示文摘BACKGROUND Tumor deposits(TDs)are not equivalent to lymph node(LN)metastasis(LNM)but have become independent adverse prognostic factors in patients with rectal cancer(RC).Although preoperatively differentiating TDs and LNMs is helpful in designing individualized treatment strategies and achieving improved prognoses,it is a challenging task.AIM To establish a computed tomography(CT)-based radiomics model for preoperatively differentiating TDs from LNM in patients with RC.METHODS This study retrospectively enrolled 219 patients with RC[TDs+LNM-(n=89);LNM+TDs-(n=115);TDs+LNM+(n=15)]from a single center between September 2016 and September 2021.Single-positive patients(i.e.,TDs+LNM-and LNM+TDs-)were classified into the training(n=163)and validation(n=41)sets.We extracted numerous features from the enhanced CT(region 1:The main tumor;region 2:The largest peritumoral nodule). After deleting redundant features, three feature selection methods and three machine learning methods were used to select the best-performing classifier as the radiomics model(Rad-score).After validating Rad-score,its performance was further evaluated in the field of diagnosing double-positive patients(i.e.,TDs+LNM+)by outlining all peritumoral nodules with diameter(short-axis)>3 mm.RESULTS Rad-score 1(radiomics signature of the main tumor)had an area under the curve(AUC)of 0.768 on the training dataset and 0.700 on the validation dataset.Rad-score 2(radiomics signature of the largest peritumoral nodule)had a higher AUC(training set:0.940;validation set:0.918)than Radscore 1.Clinical factors, including age, gender, location of RC,tumor markers, and radiological features of the largest peritumoral nodule, were excluded by logistic regression. Thus, the combined model was comprised of Rad-scores of 1 and 2.Considering that the combined model had similar AUCs with Rad-score 2(P=0.134 in the training set and 0.594 in the validation set),Rad-score 2 was used as the final model. For the diagnosis of double-positive patients in the mixed group[TDs+LNM+(n=15);single-positive(n=15)],Rad-score 2 demonstrated moderate performance(sensitivity,73.3%;specificity,66.6%;and accuracy,70.0%).CONCLUSION Radiomics analysis based on the largest peritumoral nodule can be helpful in preoperatively differentiating between TDs and LNM. | Yong-Chang Zhang Mou Li Yu-Mei Jin Jing-Xu Xu Chen-Cui Huang Bin Song | 2022 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2022,28,29: | 1
Robust bounded control for uncertain flight dynamics using disturbance observer显示文摘The robust bounded flight control scheme is developed for the uncertain longitudinal flight dynamics of the fighter with control input saturation invoking the backstepping technique. To enhance the disturbance rejection ability of the robust flight control for fighters, the sliding mode disturbance observer is designed to estimate the compounded disturbance including the unknown external disturbance and the effect of the control input saturation. Based on the backstepping technique and the compounded disturbance estimated output, the robust bounded flight control scheme is proposed for the fighter with the unknown external disturbance and the control input saturation. The closed-loop system stability under the developed robust bounded flight control scheme is rigorously proved using the Lyapunov method and the uniformly asymptotical convergences of all closed-loop signals are guaranteed. Finally, simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed robust bounded flight control scheme for the uncertain longitudinal flight dynamics of the fighter. | Mou Chen Bin Jiang | 2014 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2014,25,4: | 1
Successful interventional radiological management of postoperative complications of laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy显示文摘During the past decade, laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy(LDP)has gained increasing acceptance in the surgical community as a viable treatment option for distal pancreatic lesions. However, the possible complication of post-LDP pancreatic leakage remains a challenge, because it may lead to a series of events resulting in intraperitoneal abscess formation, sepsis, pseudoaneurysm formation, and occasional fatal hemorrhage.Dealing with these complications is extremely difficult and not much experience has been reported to date.We report a case involving the aforementioned post-LDP complications successfully managed by interventional radiological techniques while avoiding reoperation. We conclude that these management options are attractive, safe and minimally invasive alternatives to standard protocols. | Yi-Ping Zhu Jun-Jun Ni Ren-Biao Chen Erik Matro Xiao-Wu Xu Bin Li Hong-Jie Hu Yi-Ping Mou | 2013 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,45: | 1

Radiomics of rectal cancer for predicting distant metastasis and overall survival显示文摘BACKGROUND Rectal cancer(RC)patient stratification by different factors may yield variable results. Therefore, more efficient prognostic biomarkers are needed for improved risk stratification, personalized treatment, and prognostication of RC patients.AIM To build a novel model for predicting the presence of distant metastases and 3-year overall survival(OS)in RC patients.METHODS This was a retrospective analysis of 148 patients(76 males and 72 females)with RC treated with curative resection, without neoadjuvant or postoperative chemoradiotherapy, between October 2012 and December 2015.These patients were allocated to a training or validation set, with a ratio of 7:3.Radiomic features were extracted from portal venous phase computed tomography(CT)images of RC.The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression analysis was used for feature selection.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to develop the radiomics signature(Rad-score)and the clinicoradiologic risk model(the combined model).Receiver operating characteristic curves were constructed to evaluate the diagnostic performance of the models for predicting distant metastasis of RC.The association of the combined model with 3-year OS was investigated by Kaplan-Meier survival analysis.RESULTS A total of 51(34.5%)patients had distant metastases, while 26(17.6%)patients died, and 122(82.4%)patients lived at least 3 years post-surgery.The values of both the Rad-score(consisted of three selected features)and the combined model were significantly different between the distant metastasis group and the nonmetastasis group(0.46±0.21 vs 0.32±0.24 for the Rad-score,and 0.60±0.23 vs 0.28±0.26 for the combined model;P<0.001 for both models).Predictors contained in the combined model included the Rad-score,pathological N-stage,and T-stage.The addition of histologic grade to the model failed to show incremental prognostic value. The combined model showed good discrimination, with areas under the curve of 0.842 and 0.802 for the training set and validation set, respectively. For the survival analysis, the combined model was associated with an improved OS in the whole cohort and the respective subgroups.CONCLUSION This study presents a clinicoradiologic risk model, visualized in a nomogram, that can be used to facilitate individualized prediction of distant metastasis and 3-year OS in patients with RC. | Mou Li Yu-Zhou Zhu Yong-Chang Zhang Yu-Feng Yue Hao-Peng Yu Bin Song | 2020 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,33: | 1

Effect of small peptide(P-15) on HJMSCs adhesion to hydroxyap-atite显示文摘P-15, a synthetic peptide of 15-amino acids, has been tested in clinical trials to enhance cell adhesion and promote osseointe-gration. This feature of P-15 has also inspired the development of designing new bone substitute materials. Despite the increasing applications of P-15 in bone graft alternatives, few studies focus on the mechanism of cell adhesion promoted by P-15 and the mechanical property changes of the cells interacting with P-15. In this article, we used atomic force microscope(AFM) based single cell indentation force spectroscopy to study the impact of P-15 on the stiffness and the adhesion ability of human jaw bone mesenchymal stem cells(HJMSCs) to hydroxyapatite(HA). We found that the stiffness of HJMSCs increases as the concentration of P-15 grows in short culture intervals and that the adhesion forces between HJMSCs and HA particles in both the presence and absence of P-15 are all around 30 p N. Moreover, by calculating the binding energy of HJMSCs to HA particles mixed with and without P-15, we proved that P-15 could increase the adhesion energy by nearly four times. Scanning electron microscope(SEM) was also exploited to study the morphology of HJMSCs cultured in the presence and absence of P-15 on HA disc surface for a short term. Apparent morphological differences were observed between the cells cultured with and without P-15. These results explain the probable underlying adhesion mechanism of HJMSC promoted by P-15 and can serve as the bases for the design of bone graft substitute materials. | Wei Cheng Xin Tong Qin Gang Hu Yong Bin Mou Hai Yan Qin | 2016 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2016,59,2: | 0

Microglial Depletion does not Afect the Laterality of Mechanical Allodynia in Mice显示文摘Mechanical allodynia(MA),including punctate and dynamic forms,is a common and debilitating symptom suffered by millions of chronic pain patients. Some peripheral injuries result in the development of bilateral MA,while most injuries usually led to unilateral MA.To date, the control of such laterality remains poorly understood. Here,to study the role of microglia in the control of MA laterality,we used genetic strategies to deplete microglia and tested both dynamic and punctate forms of MA in mice.Surprisingly, the depletion of central microglia did not prevent the induction of bilateral dynamic and punctate MA.Moreover,in dorsal root ganglion-dorsal root-sagittal spinal cord slice preparations we recorded the low-threshold Aβ-fiber stimulation-evoked inputs and outputs of superficial dorsal horn neurons.Consistent with behavioral results, microglial depletion did not prevent the opening of bilateral gates for Aβpathways in the superficial dorsal horn. This study challenges the role of microglia in the control of MA laterality in mice.Future studies are needed to further understand whether the role of microglia in the control of MA laterality is etiology-or species-specific. | Quan Ma Dongmei Su Jiantao Huo Guangjuan Yin Dong Dong Kaifang Duan Hong Cheng Huiling Xu Jiao Ma Dong Liu Bin Mou Jiyun Peng Longzhen Cheng | 2023 | Neuroscience Bulletin2023,39,8: | 0
