| 2 | Research on KOH/La-Ba-Al_2O_3 catalysts for biodiesel production via transesterification from microalgae oil显示文摘Alumina supports modified by lanthanum(La)and barium(Ba)were prepared by peptization.Catalysts with different KOH contents supported on modified alumina were prepared by impregnation method.Various techniques,including N2 adsorption-desorption(Brunauer-Emmet-Teller method,BET),X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and fourier transform infrared absorption spectroscopy(FT-IR). | 3 | 3D finite element simulation of explosive welding of three-layer plates显示文摘A 3D finite element model of the explosive welding process of three-layer plates with materials of steel-copper-copper is established. Based on the presented model, the bonding mechanism is simulated and analyzed, different detonation modes are also comparatively studied to indicate the driving force spread in few microseconds. The results show that the three layer plates bond together after many times of impact between the flyers and the base driven by detonation wave, which is damping rapidly at each impact with wavelength decreasing. The pressure at the detonation point is minimal, which induces non-bonding of the plates here. | 9 | Fat deposition deficiency is critical for the high mortality of pre-weanling newborn piglets显示文摘Background: The high mortality of pre-weanling piglets is a dominant challenge which severely restricts the development of pig industry. A number of factors including nutrients imbalance and temperature variation during postnatal period of piglets have been reported to closely associated with the high mortality of postnatal piglets.This study aims to find out the relationship between fat deposition and survival of newborn piglets.Results: There were no differences in organ coefficient and bone density between the surviving and dead piglets(P > 0.05). The body weight and the fat deposition in the dead piglets were lower than the live individuals(P < 0.05).Consistently, the average sizes of white adipocytes in back and abdominal adipose tissues of dead piglets were smaller than the survivals(P < 0.05). The protein expression levels of adipocyte differentiation markers PPARγ and C/EBPα in the back and abdominal adipose tissues were lower in dead piglets compared to live piglets. The mRNA expressions of thermogenic markers PGC1α and PRDM16 in adipose tissues were decreased in the dead piglets(P < 0.05). The microarray of back fat samples from the surviving and dead piglets were conducted; two down-regulated genes namely AAMDC and CASTOR1 were identified from the dead piglets. According to quantitative real-time PCR(RT-PCR) analysis, the mRNA expression of AAMDC decreased, whereas CASTOR1 expression elevated in the dead piglets compared to the surviving piglets(P < 0.05).Conclusions: The fat deposition and adipocyte differentiation in the dead piglets are insufficient compared to the surviving piglets, which may attenuate the thermogenic ability of white adipose tissue(WAT). | 16 | Mercury release flux and its influencing factors at the air-water interface in paddy field in Chongqing,China显示文摘The exchange of mercury(Hg) across the air-water interface is an important part of Hg biogeochemical cycle.Mercury fluxes across the air-water interface in paddy fields were measured by a Dynamic Flux Chamber(DFC) coupled with a Lumex multifunctional mercury analyzer RA-915+ at two sites(Chengjiang(CJ) and Caoshang(CS)) in Beibei,Chongqing,China in 2008.The results showed that mercury emission followed a power-law relationship with solar radiation and air temperature,and it increased exponentially with water temperature at both sites.Mercury emission was mainly influenced by the solubility of gaseous elemental Hg,photo-thermal effect,electron activity(Eh) and air Hg concentrations.Solar radiation made the greatest direct contribution to mercury emission during the daytime(0.80),with an 83.60% contribution,whereas at nighttime the water temperature(0.72) contributed to 71.65% of emissions.The temperature gradient between water and air might also influenced mercury emission across the air/water interface at nighttime.These findings suggest that paddy fields could act as a significant source of atmospheric mercury,and it can contribute significantly to the atmospheric mercury in a local region. | ZHU JinShan WANG DingYong MA Ming | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,2: | 1 |

| 19 | The natural course of bacillus Calmette-Guerin induced bladder lesions:A long-term follow-up study and systematic review显示文摘Objective:Bacillus Calmette-Gue´rin(BCG)instillation is the standard adjuvant treatment for intermediate-and high-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer after transurethral resection.Nevertheless,its toxicity often causes bladder complications.On follow-up cystoscopy,post-BCG bladder lesions can be pathologically benign,urothelial carcinoma recurrence,or other types of bladder malignancy.Only a small number of case reports have been published on post-BCG bladder lesions.Their clinical features,natural course,and management remain unknown.Methods:We retrospectively studied cystoscopic videos and medical records of BCG-treated bladder cancer patients at our center.During a long-term follow-up,we took biopsies on tumor-like lesions and described their changes.In addition,we summarized previous studies on post-BCG bladder lesions by systematic literature searching and review.Results:We described a series of three cases with post-BCG bladder lesions mimicking tumor recurrence from a total of 38 cases with follow-up data for more than 5 years.Those lesions could last,grow,or disappear spontaneously,and remain pathological benign for years.In systematic review,we identified and analyzed a total of 15 cases with post-BCG bladder lesions with detailed clinical information.Eleven of the 15 were benign and have a good prognosis with nephrogenic adenoma being the most common pathological type.Conclusion:Based on previous studies and our experience,benign lesions after BCG instillation cannot distinguish with cancer recurrence by cystoscopy alone,even under narrow band imaging mode.Nonetheless,given most of them have a good prognosis,random biopsy or transurethral resection might be spared in the patients with long-term negative biopsy and urine cytology. | Chong Ma Shuxiong Zeng Lihe Dai Huan Han Ruixiang Song Jinshan Xu Xing Ai Chuanliang Xu | 2023 | Asian Journal of Urology2023,10,3: | 0 |
