| 1 | Clinical outcomes of 25-gauge vitrectomy surgery for vitreoretinal diseases: comparison of vitrectomy alone and phaco-vitrectomy显示文摘AIM: To compare the clinical outcomes of combined25-gauge pars plana vitrectomy(PPV) and phacoemulsification/posterior chamber intraocular lens(PC-IOL) implantation with vitrectomy alone surgery in patients with various vitreoretinal diseases.METHODS: A total of 306 eyes(145 with PPV alone and 161 with phaco-vitrectomy) were enrolled in this retrospective analysis. The surgical approach was 25-gauge PPV combined with phacoemulsification and PC-IOL implantation at the same time in eyes in phaco-vitrectomy group and only PPV in eyes in vitrectomy alone surgery group. The main outcome measures were postoperative clinical outcomes included anterior chamber inflammation, changes in intraocular pressure(IOP) and best corrected visual acuity(BCVA).RESULTS: The most common postoperative complication was anterior chamber reaction which has higher incidence in phaco-vitrectomy group(P <0.001).The mean postoperative 1^(st) day IOP of vitrectomy alone group was significantly lower than that of phaco-vitrectomy group(16.3 ±5.8 mm Hg vs 17.8 ±8.1 mm Hg,respectively, P =0.02). Hypotony(IOP(8 mm Hg) was not different between groups in the postoperative 1^(st) day(P >0.05). The mean preoperative visual acuity was not different between groups(1.6±0.9 log MAR vs 1.8±0.9 log MAR,respectively, P >0.05). However, the mean visual acuity was decreased in vitrectomy alone group at the final visit compared to phaco-vitrectomy group(1.2 ±0.8 log MAR,0.9±0.7 log MAR, respectively P <0.05).CONCLUSION: Twenty-five gauge PPV combined with phacoemulsification surgery is a safe and efficient procedure, which can be preferred in phacic patients with a variety of vitreoretinal diseases compared to vitrectomy alone. | 2 | Measurement of choroidal thickness and macular thickness during and after pregnancy显示文摘AIM: To investigate the effect of pregnancy on subfoveal choroidal thickness(SFCT) and macular thickness in both pregnant and not pregnant healthy women.METHODS: Twenty-nine healthy pregnant women in their third trimester and 36 age-matched healthy women were enrolled in a prospective, cross-sectional study.Foveal and parafoveal thickness in the four quadrants and SFCT were measured by optical coherence tomography(OCT) in the healthy pregnant women(i.e.study group) and healthy women(i.e. control group).OCT measurements were again measured 3mo after delivery in the study group.RESULTS: Mean SFCT measurements in the control group, pregnant women of the study group, and after delivery of the study group were 320.86 ±59.18 μm,387.97 ±59.91 μm, and 332.40 ±26.03 μm, respectively.There was a statistically significant difference in the mean SFCT values between pregnant women of the study group and the control group(P =0.000). Foveal and parafoveal thickness values were not statistically significant in either the study or control group.CONCLUSION: SFCT increases during pregnancy and returns to normal range in the three months after delivery. | 3 | A Sensorless State Estimation for A Safety-Oriented Cyber-Physical System in Urban Driving:Deep Learning Approach显示文摘In today's modern electric vehicles,enhancing the safety-critical cyber-physical system(CPS)'s performance is necessary for the safe maneuverability of the vehicle.As a typical CPS,the braking system is crucial for the vehicle design and safe control.However,precise state estimation of the brake pressure is desired to perform safe driving with a high degree of autonomy.In this paper,a sensorless state estimation technique of the vehicle's brake pressure is developed using a deep-learning approach.A deep neural network(DNN)is structured and trained using deep-learning training techniques,such as,dropout and rectified units.These techniques are utilized to obtain more accurate model for brake pressure state estimation applications.The proposed model is trained using real experimental training data which were collected via conducting real vehicle testing.The vehicle was attached to a chassis dynamometer while the brake pressure data were collected under random driving cycles.Based on these experimental data,the DNN is trained and the performance of the proposed state estimation approach is validated accordingly.The results demonstrate high-accuracy brake pressure state estimation with RMSE of 0.048 MPa. | Mohammad Al-Sharman David Murdoch Dongpu Cao Chen Lv Yahya Zweiri Derek Rayside William Melek | 2021 | IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2021，8，1： | 3 |

| 19 | Geochemistry and Zircon U-Pb Dates of Felsic-Intermediate Members of the Late Cretaceous Yüksekova Arc Basin: Constraints on the Evolution of the Bitlis–Zagros Branch of Neotethys(Elazig, E Turkey)显示文摘During the Late Cretaceous in the Eastern Mediterranean, the northern branch of the southern Neotethys was closed by multiple northward subductions. Of these, the most northerly located subduction created the Baskil continental arc at around 82–84 Ma. The more southerly and intra-oceanic subduction, on the other hand, produced an arc-basin system,the Yüksekova Complex, as early as the late Cenomanian–early Turonian. The abundant and relatively well-studied basaltic rocks of this complex were intruded by dykes, sills and small stocks of felsic–intermediate rocks, not previously studied in detail. The intrusives collected from five different localities in the Elazig region of eastern Turkey are all subalkaline, with low Nb/Y values. Most of them have been chemically classified as rhyodacites/dacites, whereas a small number appear to be andesites. In normal mid-ocean-ridge basalt(N-MORB)-normalised plots, the intrusives are characterised by relative enrichments in Th and La over Nb, Zr, Hf, Ti and high field strength elements(HREEs), indicating their derivation from a subduction-modified source. While their relatively high, positive εN d(i) values(+6.4 and +7.2) might suggest a depleted mantle source for their ultimate origin, somewhat radiogenic Pb values indicate a sedimentary contribution to the source of the rocks. The overall geochemical characteristics indicate their generation in an oceanic arc setting. The zircon U-Pb Laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry(LA-ICP-MS) data obtained from five felsic-intermediate rock samples yielded intrusion dates of 80–88 Ma. This suggests that the Elazig oceanic arc-related intrusives are slightly younger than those of the Yüksekova arc-basin system, but coeval with the Baskil continental arc. However, the felsic–intermediate intrusives show different geochemical characteristics(oceanic arc-type, with a lack of crustal contamination)to those of the Baskil continental arc. This indicates that these two igneous systems are unrelated and likely developed in different tectonic settings.
