1INCREASING RETURNS TO SCALE,DYNAMICS OF INDUSTRIAL STRUCTURE AND SIZE DISTRIBUTION OF FIRMS显示文摘A multi-agent model is presented to discuss the market dynamics and the size distribution of firms. The model emphasizes the effects of increasing returns to scale and gives the description of the born and death of adaptive producers. The evolution of market structure and its behavior under the technological shocks are investigated. Its dynamical results are in good agreement with some empirical “stylized facts” of industrial evolution. With the diversity of demand and adaptive growth strategies of firms, the firm size in the generalized model obeys the power-law distribution. Three factors mainly determine the competitive dynamics and the skewed size distributions of firms: 1. Self-reinforcing mechanism; 2. Adaptive firm growing strategies; 3. 13Bound states in the continuum in all-dielectric metasurfaces with scaled lattice constants显示文摘Bound states in the continuum(BICs)have emerged as an efficient tool for trapping light at the nanoscale,promising several exciting applications in photonics.Breaking the structural symmetry has been proposed as an effective way of exciting quasiBICs(QBICs)and generating high-Q resonances.Herein,we demonstrate that QBICs can be excited in an all-dielectric metasurface by scaling the lattice of the metasurface,causing translational symmetry breaking.The corresponding BICs arise from band folding from the band edge to the Γ point in the first Brillouin zone.Multipole analysis reveals that the toroidal dipole dominates these QBICs.Furthermore,scaling the lattice along different directions provides additional freedom for tailoring QBICs,enabling polarization-dependent or-independent QBICs.In addition,this allows the realization of two QBICs at different wavelengths using plane-wave illumination with different polarizations on the metasurface.We experimentally demonstrated the existence of these BICs by fabricating silicon metasurfaces with scaled lattices and measuring their transmission spectra.The vanished resonant linewidth identifies BICs in the transmission spectrum,and the QBICs are characterized by highQ Fano resonances with the Q-factor reaching 2000.Our results have potential applications in enhancing light-matter interaction,such as laser,nonlinear harmonic generation,and strong coupling.Mimi Zhou Shaojun You Lei Xu Menghui Fan Jing Huang Wenbin Ma Mingzhe Hu Shengyun Luo Mohsen Rahmani Ya Cheng Lin Li Chaobiao Zhou Lujun Huang Andrey E.Miroshnichenko 2023Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,12:0
14Simulation of Daily Diffuse Solar Radiation Based on Three Machine Learning Models显示文摘Solar radiation is an important parameter in the fields of computer modeling,engineering technology and energy development.This paper evaluated the ability of three machine learning models,i.e.,Extreme Gradient Boosting(XGBoost),Support Vector Machine(SVM)and Multivariate Adaptive Regression Splines(MARS),to estimate the daily diffuse solar radiation(Rd).The regular meteorological data of 1966-2015 at five stations in China were taken as the input parameters(including mean average temperature(Ta),theoretical sunshine duration(N),actual sunshine duration(n),daily average air relative humidity(RH),and extra-terrestrial solar radiation(Ra)).And their estimation accuracies were subjected to comparative analysis.The three models were first trained using meteorological data from 1966 to 2000.Then,the 2001-2015 data was used to test the trained machine learning model.The results show that the XGBoost had better accuracy than the other two models in coefficient of determination(R2),root mean square error(RMSE),mean bias error(MBE)and normalized root mean square error(NRMSE).The MARS performed better in the training phase than the testing phase,but became less accurate in the testing phase,with the R2 value falling by 2.7-16.9%on average.By contrast,the R2 values of SVM and XGBoost increased by 2.9-12.2%and 1.9-14.3%,respectively.Despite trailing slightly behind the SVM at the Beijing station,the XGBoost showed good performance at the rest of the stations in the two phases.In the training phase,the accuracy growth is small but observable.In addition,the XGBoost had a slightly lower RMSE than the SVM,a signal of its edge in stability.Therefore,the three machine learning models can estimate the daily Rd based on local inputs and the XGBoost stands out for its excellent performance and stability.Jianhua Dong Lifeng Wu Xiaogang Liu Cheng Fan Menghui Leng Qiliang Yang 2020Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2020,,4:0
15Intercalation-Assisted Co-Doped MoS_(2) Nanoflowers for an Efficient Hydrogen Evolution Reaction显示文摘2D transition metal disulfides have emerged as promising Pt-alternative electrocatalysts for hydrogen generation.However,the sluggish water dissociation kinetics and limited active sites hinder their performance in alkaline media.Herein,we propose a two-step hydrothermal method to synthesize K intercalation-assisted Codoped MoS_(2) nanoflowers.These nanoflowers exhibit an overpotential of only 67 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm^(-2),which exceeds that of pristine MoS_(2)(143 mV).We demonstrated that the intercalation of K enlarges the interlayer spacing of MoS_(2) nanosheets and facilitates the doping of Co.The incorporation of Co effectively improves the surface charge transfer efficiency of MoS_(2) and accelerates water splitting with an energy barrier of 0.12 eV.This work offers an approach to activate the inert MoS_(2) basal plane by chemical intercalation and atomic doping coengineering.It can be extended to develop other functional materials beyond water splitting.Minkai Qin Menghui Qi Ruxue Fan Jiadong Chen Xiaoyun Shi Binbin Lin Lingling Xi Yong Wang 2023Precision Chemistry2023,1,8:0
