1Effect of wheat bran insoluble dietary fiber with different particle size on the texture properties, protein secondary structure, and microstructure of noodles显示文摘This study was conducted to explore how the insoluble dietary fiber(IDF)of wheat bran with different particle size affects the texture properties,water distribution,protein secondary structure and microstructure of noodles.The results suggested that IDF addition increased the cooking loss and decreased the sensory evaluation because of the damage on dough structure,while as the IDF particle size decreased,the sensory score increased from 78.8 to 82.3 and cooking loss decreased from 8.65%to 7.65%,which could be attributed to that small particle-sized IDF limited the damage on protein network structure,decreased the T22 and t-structure,and increased the β1-structure.Moreover,IDF particle size had a significant correlation with protein secondary structures,texture properties and evaluation score of noodles.In conclusion,adding appropriate particle sizewould be an effectiveway of enhancing the nutritional and textural properties of noodles.Jian Zhang Mengqin Li Chaoran Li Yanqi Liu 2019Grain & Oil Science and Technology2019,2,4:20
2The role of a drug-loaded poly(lactic co-glycolic acid)(PLGA) copolymer stent in the treatment of ovarian cancer显示文摘Objectives:Cisplatin(CDDP)is a widely used and effective basic chemotherapeutic drug for the treatment of a variety of tumors,including ovarian cancer.However,adverse side effects and acquired drug resistance are observed in the clinical application of CDDP.Identifying a mode of administration that can alleviate side effects and reduce drug resistance has become a promising strategy to solve this problem.Methods:In this study,3 D printing technology was used to prepare a CDDP-poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)(CDDP-PLGA)polymer compound stent,and its physicochemical properties and cytotoxicity were evaluated both in vitro and in vivo.Results:The CDDP-PLGA stent had a significant effect on cell proliferation and apoptosis and clearly decreased the size of subcutaneous tumors in nude mice,whereas the systemic side effects were mild compared with those of intraperitoneal CDDP injection.Compared with the control group,CDDP-PLGA significantly increased the mRNA and protein levels of p-glycoprotein(P<0.01;P<0.01)and decreased vascular endothelial growth factor mRNA(P<0.05)and protein levels(P<0.01),however,CDDP-PLGA significantly decreased the mR NA and protein levels of p-glycoprotein(P<0.01;P<0.01)and vascular endothelial growth factor(P<0.01;P<0.01),which are associated with chemoresistance,in subcutaneous tumor tissue.Immunohistochemistry assay results revealed that,in the CDDP-PLGA group,the staining of the proliferation-related genes Ki67 and PCNA were lightly,and the apoptosis-related gene caspase-3 stained deeply.Conclusions:PLGA biomaterials loaded with CDDP,as compared with the same amount of free CDDP,showed good efficacy in terms of cytotoxicity,as evidenced by changes in apoptosis.Continuous local CDDP release can decrease the systemic side effects of this drug and the occurrence of drug resistance and angiogenesis,and improve the therapeutic effect.This new approach may be an effective strategy for the local treatment of epithelial ovarian cancer.Yanqing Wang Xiaoyin Qiao Xiao Yang Mengqin Yuan Shu Xian Li Zhang Dongyong Yang Shiyi Liu Fangfang Dai Zhikai Tan Yanxiang Cheng 2020Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,1:2

8Anti-solvent assisted treatment for improved morphology and efficiency of lead acetate derived perovskite solar cells显示文摘An efficient solution-processable route employing Pb(Ac)2 as lead source and anti-solvent treatment to achieve fully covered and homogenous perovskite films is reported. The effect of different solution methods and device architectures on the morphologies of perovskite films were systematically investigated. Our results show that the planar perovskite layer fabricated by one-step solution method achieved fully covered and pinhole-free films. Further anti-solvent treatment using chlorobenzene (CB) promoted a perovskite film with highly smooth surfaces and enlarged grain sizes. Device fabricated from CB treated perovskite film achieved a best PCE of 15.80%, in comparison with 14.02%for the untreated device. 9The Novel PRRSV Strain HBap4-2018 with a Unique Recombinant Pattern Is Highly Pathogenic to Piglets显示文摘Currently, various porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus(PRRSV) variants emerged worldwide with different genetic characteristics and pathogenicity, increasing the difficulty of PRRS control. In this study, a PRRSV strain named HBap4-2018 was isolated from swine herds suffering severe respiratory disease with high morbidity in Hebei Province of China in 2018. The genome of HBap4-2018 is 15,003 nucleotides in length, and compared with NADC30-like PRRSV, nsp2 of HBap4-2018 has an additional continuous deletion of five amino acids. Phylogenetic analysis based on complete genome and ORF5 showed that HBap4-2018 belonged to lineage 8 of PRRSV-2, which was characterized by highly variable genome. However, HBap4-2018 was classified into lineage 1 based on phylogenetic analysis of nsp2,sharing higher amino acid homology(85.3%–85.5%) with NADC30-like PRRSV. Further analysis suggested that HBap4-2018 was a novel natural recombinant PRRSV with three recombinant fragments in the genome, of which highly pathogenic PRRSV(HP-PRRSV) served as the major parental strains, while NADC30-like PRRSV served as the minor parental strains. Five recombination break points were identified in nsp2, nsp3, nsp5, nsp9 and ORF6, respectively,presenting a novel recombinant pattern in the genome. Piglets inoculated with HBap4-2018 presented typical clinical signs with a mortality rate of 60%. 10Effect of Additives on Properties of MgO-ZrO_2-C Material显示文摘The paper describes the effect of additives Al, Si,SiC and B4 C on the expansion of MgO-ZrO2-C material after being coked . The results indicate that Al and Si can not increase its hot and cold strength. Al and Si were oxidized to form Al2 O3 and SiO2 respectively, and then reacted with CaZrO3 or stabilizer in c-ZrO2 to form calcium aluminate , spinel ( MA ), dicalcium silicate ( C2 S ) and forsterite (M2S). Meanwhile, α-C2S was transformed to γ-C2S and c-ZrO2 to m-ZrO2 when temperature changed.All the above reactions resulted in the decrease of the amount of Al4 C3 and SiC and the increase in bulk volume ,which caused the structure of MgO-ZrO2-C material destroyed. 11IGF2-NR4A2 Signaling Regulates Macrophage Subtypes to Attenuate Liver Cirrhosis显示文摘Background and Aims:Liver cirrhosis can lead to liver failure and eventually death.Macrophages are the main contributors to cirrhosis and have a bidirectional role in regulating matrix deposition and degradation.Macrophage-based cell therapy has been developed as an alternative to liver transplantation.However,there is insufficient evidence regarding its safety and efficacy.In this study,we aimed to explore the effect of combining insulin-like growth factor 2(IGF2)with bone marrow-derived macrophages(BMDMs)to treat mice with liver cirrhosis.Methods:We assessed liver inflammation,fibrosis regression,liver function,and liver regeneration in mice with CCl4-induced cirrhosis and treated with BMDM only or IGF2+BMDM.We performed in vitro experiments in which activated hepatic stellate cells(HSCs)were co-cultured with macrophages in the presence or absence of IGF2.The polarity of macrophages and the degree of inhibition of HSCs were examined.The effect of IGF2 on macrophages was also verified by the overexpression of IGF2.Results:Combining IGF2 with BMDM reduced liver inflammation and fibrosis and increased hepatocyte proliferation.Combining IGF2 with BMDM was more effective than using BMDM alone.In vitro experiments demonstrated that IGF2 inhibited HSCs activation by upregulating NR4A2 to promote the anti-inflammatory macrophages phenotype.IGF2 also increased the synthesis of matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs)by macrophages,which may explain why administering IGF2 combined with BMDM was more effective than administering BMDM only.Conclusions:Our study provides a theoretical basis for the future use of BMDM-based cell therapy to treat liver cirrhosis.Lichao Yao Xue Hu Mengqin Yuan Qiuling Zhang Pingji Liu Lian Yang Kai Dai Yingan Jiang 2023Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2023,11,4:0

13Numerical Simulations of the Flow Field around a Cylindrical Lightning Rod显示文摘As an important lightning protection device in substations,lightning rods are susceptible to vibration and potential structural damage under wind loads.In order to understand their vibration mechanism,it is necessary to conduct flow analysis.In this study,numerical simulations of the flow field around a 330 kV cylindrical lightning rod with different diameters were performed using the SST k-ωmodel.The flow patterns in different segments of the lightning rod at the same reference wind speed(wind speed at a height of 10 m)and the flow patterns in the same segment at different reference wind speeds were investigated.The variations of lift coefficient,drag coefficient,and vorticity distribution were obtained.The results showed that vortex shedding phenomena occurred in all segments of the lightning rod,and the strength of vortex shedding increased with decreasing diameter.The vorticity magnitude and the root mean square magnitudes of the lift coefficient and drag coefficient also increased accordingly.The time history curves of the lift coefficient and drag coefficient on the surface of the lightning rod exhibited sinusoidal patterns with a single dominant frequency.For the same segment,as the wind speed increased in a certain range,the root mean square values of the lift coefficient and drag coefficient decreased,while their dominant frequencies increased.Moreover,there was a proportional relationship between the dominant frequencies of the lift coefficient and drag coefficient.The findings of this study can provide valuable insights for the refined design of lightning rods with similar structures.Wei Guo Yanliang Liu Xuqiang Wang Jiazheng Meng Mengqin Hu Bo He 2024Structural Durability & Health Monitoring2024,18,1:0
14Mapping the intersection of nanotechnology and SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19:A bibliometric analysis显示文摘Background:Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),caused by infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),has imposed great medical and economic burdens on human society,and nanotech-nology is a promising technique for managing the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.To drive further studies on anti-COVID-19 nanotechnology,this paper provides an analysis,from a bibliometric perspective,of the intersec-tion of nanotechnology and SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19.Methods:We analyzed the 2585 publications on nanotechnology and SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 included in the Web of Science Core Collection from January 2019 to March 2022 to determine the bibliometric landscape.The basic bibliometric characteristics are summarized in this article.Results:Our bibliometric analysis revealed that the intersection between nanotechnology and SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 is a cutting-edge field in the science community and that the related studies were multidisciplinary in nature.Studies on the structural basis of SARS-CoV-2,SARS-CoV-2 detection assays,and mRNA vaccines against COVID-19 provided the development foundation for this field.Conclusions:The current research focuses are the development of nanomaterial-based vaccines and SARS-CoV-2 detection methods,and the design of nanomedicines carrying SARS-CoV-2 inhibitors is a relatively burgeoning frontier.In summary,this bibliometric analysis of the intersection of nanotechnology and SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 highlights the current research focuses of this field to inspire future studies on anti-COVID-19 nanotechnologies.Xuejuan Zhang Mengqin Guo Zhengwei Huang Ying Huang Chuanbin Wu Xin Pan 2022Infectious Medicine2022,1,2:0
15Construction of Angularly Fused Tricyclic Compounds via Photo-induced Radical Cascade Cyclization显示文摘Photo-induced electron transfer (PET) of silyl enol ethers has been employed to synthesize several fused ring systems. However, the method has limited applicability due to its narrow substrate scope, low product yields, unsatisfactory stereo- and regioselectivity. Herein, we report a PET-triggered cascade reaction of silyl enolates that leads to the formation of angularly fused tricyclic scaffolds. The reaction exhibits broad substrate scope and excellent stereoselectivity. 17Characterization of prognosis and immune infiltration by a novel glutamine metabolism-related model in cutaneous melanoma显示文摘Glutamine metabolism(GM)plays an important role in tumor growth and proliferation.Skin cutaneous melanoma(SKCM)is a glutamine-dependent cancer.However,the molecular characteristics and action mechanism of GM on SKCM remain unclear.Therefore,we aimed to explore the effects of GM-related genes on survival,clinicopathological characteristics,and the tumor microenvironment in SKCM.In this study,682 SKCM samples were obtained from the Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)and Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO)databases.Consensus clustering was used to classify SKCM samples into distinct subtypes based on 41 GM-related genes.Differences in survival,immune infiltration,clinical characteristics,and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathways as well as differentially expressed genes(DEGs)between subgroups were evaluated.A prognostic model was constructed according to prognostic DEGs.Differential analyses in survival,immune infiltration,tumor microenvironment(TME),tumor mutation burden(TMB),stemness,and drug sensitivity between risk groups were conducted.We identified two distinct GM-related subtypes on SKCM and found that GM-related gene alterations were associated with survival probability,clinical features,biological function,and immune infiltration.Then a risk model based on six DEGs(IL18,SEMA6A,PAEP,TNFRSF17,AIM2,and CXCL10)was constructed and validated for predicting overall survival in SKCM patients.The results showed that the risk score was negatively correlated with CD8+T cells,activated CD4+memory T cells,M1 macrophages,andγδT cells.The group with a low-risk score was accompanied by a better survival rate with higher TME scores and lower stemness index.Moreover,the group with high-and low-risk score had a significant difference with the sensitivity of 75 drugs(p<0.001).Overall,distinct subtypes in SKCM patients based on GM-related genes were identified and the risk model was constructed,which might contribute to prognosis prediction,guide clinical therapy,and develop novel therapeutic strategies.MENGQIN ZHU TIANYI XU HAN ZHANG XIN FAN YULAN WANG JIAJIA ZHANG FEI YU 2023BIOCELL2023,47,9:0
