| 1 | Multifunctional bioactive core-shell electrospun membrane capable to terminate inflammatory cycle and promote angiogenesis in diabetic wound显示文摘Diabetic wound(DW)healing is a major clinical challenge due to multifactorial complications leading to prolonged inflammation.Electrospun nanofibrous(NF)membranes,due to special structural features,are promising biomaterials capable to promote DW healing through the delivery of active agents in a controlled manner.Herein,we report a multifunctional composite NF membrane loaded with ZnO nanoparticles(NP)and oregano essential oil(OEO),employing a new loading strategy,capable to sustainedly co-deliver bioactive agents.Physicochemical characterization revealed the successful fabrication of loaded nanofibers with strong in vitro anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant activities.Furthermore,in vivo wound healing confirmed the potential of bioactive NF membranes in epithelialization and granulation tissue formation.The angiogenesis was greatly prompted by the bioactive NF membranes through expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF).Moreover,the proposed NF membrane successfully terminated the inflammatory cycle by downregulating the pro-inflammatory cytokines interleukin��6(IL-6)and matrix metalloproteinases-9(MMP-9).In vitro and in vivo studies revealed the proposed NF membrane is a promising dressing material for the healing of DW. | Atta ur Rehman Khan Kai Huang Mina Shahriari Khalaji Fan Yu Xianrui Xie Tonghe Zhu Yosry Morsi Zhao Jinzhong Xiumei Mo | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,9: | 3 |
| 2 | Highly transmitted silver nanowires-SWCNTs conductive flexible film by nested density structure and aluminum-doped zinc oxide capping layer for flexible amorphous silicon solar cells显示文摘Indium tin oxide(ITO)is widely used in transparent conductive films(TCFs);however,several disadvan-tages,such as high cost and toxicity of indium,limit its applications.Therefore,it is necessary to develop other materials that can replace ITO.Silver nanowires or single walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)have attracted considerable interest owing to their unique electrical,optical,and thermal stabilities,and thus,they are ideal for transparent electrodes for flexible or stretchable devices.In this study,we develop a novel architecture of composite TCFs on a polyethylene naphthalate(PEN)flexible substrate.Herein,the silver nanowires-SWCNTs films with nested density structure were fabricated through ultrasonic spraying technology by varying the spraying width.For achieving enhanced transmittance,we combined the larger irregular grids and holes with fewer nanowires stacked in the longitudinal direction,more optical chan-nels,and good carrier transport.Thereafter,aluminum-doped zinc oxide(AZO)was used as capping to the structure for enhancing the optical properties of the TCFs.The silver nanowires-SWCNTs/AZO(ASA)bilayer was obtained in the optimized architecture,which showed superior optoelectronic performance to that shown by commercial ITO with a high optical transmittance of 92%at the wavelength of 550 nm and low sheet resistance of 17/sq.In the specially structured conductive film,the significant improvement in the transmittance and uniformity of the sheet resistance was attributed to the effective nanowire junc-tion contact compared to that in ordinary structure of silver nanowires,which reduced the mean density of small clusters of nanowires.Compared with the silver nanowires-SWCNTs films,the ASA bilayer film exhibited excellent resistance to boiling,mechanical bending(10,000 cycles),and CO_(2)plasma.Moreover,the sheet resistance of ASA changed slightly after the tape tests,thereby illustrating a strong adhesion to the PEN substrate after the enclosure of AZO.Meanwhile,the AZO capping layer can enhance the op-tical transmittance between 600 and 1500 nm.In addition,the amorphous silicon photovoltaic devices with flexible ASA TCFs exhibited a power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 8.67%.After bending for 3000 times,the PCE was decreased to 8.20%,thereby demonstrating the potential of developed films to replace traditional ITO. | Shunliang Gao Xiaohui Zhao Qi Fu Tianchi Zhang Jun Zhu Fuhua Hou Jian Ni Chengjun Zhu Tiantian Li Yanlai Wang Vignesh Murugadoss Gaber A.M.Mersal Mohamed M.Ibrahim Zeinhom M.El-Bahy Mina Huang Zhanhu Guo | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,31: | 2 |
| 3 | Protein hairy enhancer of split-1 expression during differentiation of muscle-derived stem cells into neuron-like cells显示文摘Muscle-derived stem cells were isolated from the skeletal muscle of Sprague-Dawley neonatal rats aged 3 days old. Cells at passage 5 were incubated in Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium supplemented with 10% (v/v) fetal bovine serum, 20 μg/L nerve growth factor, 20 μg/L basic fibroblast growth factor and 1% (v/v) penicillin for 6 days. Cells presented with long processes, similar to nerve cells. Connections were formed between cell processes. Immunocytochemical staining with neuron specific enolase verified that cells differentiated into neuron-like cells. Immunofluorescence cytochemistry and western blot results revealed that the expression of protein hairy enhancer of split-1 was significantly reduced. | 7 | Influence of mass ratio and calcination temperature on physical and photoelectrochemical properties of ZnFe-layered double oxide/cobalt oxide heterojunction semiconductor for dye degradation applications显示文摘A visible light-active photoelectrocatalyst,ZnFe-layered double oxide(LDO)/cobalt(II,III)oxide(Co_(3)O_(4))composites were obtained by calcining the Co loaded ZnFe-layered double hydroxide(LDH)prepared by a hydrothermal and microwave hydrothermal method.The morphological studies revealed that the ZnFe-LDO/Co_(3)O_(4) composites exhibited a flower-like structure comprising Co_(3)O_(4) nanowires and ZnFe-LDO nanosheets.Further,when the mass ratio of Co(NO_(3))_(2)·6H_(2)O/LDH was 1:1.8 and the calcination temperature was 550℃,the ZnFe-LDO/Co_(3)O_(4) composite exhibited 93.3%degradation efficiency for methylene blue(MB)at the applied voltage of 1.0 V under visible light after 3 h.Furthermore,the Mott-Schottky model experiments showed that the formation of a p-n heterojunction between ZnFe-LDO and Co_(3)O_(4) could effectively inhibit the recombination of electrons and holes in the photoelectrocatalytic process.Meanwhile,free radical scavenging experiments showed that the active radicals of⋅OH played an important role in the degradation of MB.Therefore,the photoelectrocatalytic effect of ZnFe-LDO/Co_(3)O_(4) provides a simple and effective strategy for the removal of organic pollutants. | Yufei Zhang Junjie Zheng Jiejie Nan Chengjie Gai Qian Shao Vignesh Murugadoss Srihari Maganti Nithesh Naik Hassan Algadi Mina Huang Ben Bin Xu Zhanhu Guo | 2023 | Particuology2023,,3: | 0 |
