1Gastrodin promotes the secretion of brain-derived neurotrophic factor in the injured spinal cord显示文摘Gastrodin, an active component of tall gastrodia tuber, is widely used in the treatment of dizziness, paralysis, epilepsy, stroke and dementia, and exhibits a neuroprotective effect. A rat model of spinal cord injury was established using Allen's method, and gastrodin was administered via the subarachnoid cavity and by intraperitoneal injection for 7 days. Results show that gastrodin promoted the secretion of brain-derived neurotrophic factor in rats with spinal cord injury. After gastrodin treatment, the maximum angle of the inclined plane test, and the Basso, Beattie and Bresnahan scores increased. Moreover, gastrodin improved neural tissue recovery in the injured spinal cord. These results demonstrate that gastrodin promotes the secretion of brain-derived neurotrophic factor, contributes to the recovery of neurological function, and protects neural cells against injury.Changwei Song Shiqiang Fang Gang Lv Xifan Mei 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,15:16
2Plastic deformation analysis and forming quality prediction of tube N C bending显示文摘Plane strain assumption and exponent hardening law are used to investigate the plastic deformation in tube bending. Some theoretical formulae including stress, curvature radius of neutral layer, angle of neutral layer deviation, bending moment, wall thickness variation and crosssection distortion, are developed to explain the phenomena in tube bending and their magnitudes are also determined. During unloading process, the springback angle is deduced using the virtual work principle, and springback radius is also given according to the length of the neutral layer which remains unchanged before and after springback. 3Start-up current adaptive control for sensorless high-speed brushless DC motors based on inverse system method and internal mode controller显示文摘The start-up current control of the high-speed brushless DC(HS-BLDC) motor is a challenging research topic. To effectively control the start-up current of the sensorless HS-BLDC motor, an adaptive control method is proposed based on the adaptive neural network(ANN)inverse system and the two degrees of freedom(2-DOF) internal model controller(IMC). The HS-BLDC motor is identified by the online least squares support vector machine(OLS-SVM) algorithm to regulate the ANN inverse controller parameters in real time. A pseudo linear system is developed by introducing the constructed real-time inverse system into the original HS-BLDC motor system. Based on the characteristics of the pseudo linear system, an extra closed-loop feedback control strategy based on the 2-DOF IMC is proposed to improve the transient response performance and enhance the stability of the control system. 4Effect of electroacupuncture on chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy in patients with malignant tumor:a single-blinded,randomized controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effect of electroacupuncture on chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy(CIPN), quality of life and immune status of patients with malignant tumors.METHODS:From Jan, 2013 to May, 2014, 37 patients with malignant tumors were included in this prospective single-blinded study, and randomized to receive either electroacupuncture or acupuncture treatment on basis of chemotherapy.The chemotherapy was continued for 2 courses as previous before the treatments, with 21 days as a course of treatment.Patients received acupuncture and electroacupuncture once per day starting at the day before chemotherapy for consecutive 7 days followed by 14 days off, with 21 days as a course of treatment, and continued for two courses of treatment.Then CIPN, traditional Chinese clinical symptoms,quality of life and immune status were all evaluated for each patient prior treatment and after two courses of treatment.RESULTS:The gender, age, cancer species as well as incidence(83.3% vs 84.2%) and grades of CIPN before treatments were all similar in patients receiving acupuncture or electroacupuncture(all P >0.05).After treatments, most patients with peripheral neuropathy were cured by two courses of electroacupuncture(84.2% vs 21.1%), whereas the other group of patients had similar incidences of peripheral neuropathy compared with prior-acupuncture(83.3% vs 72.2%).Besides, patients receiving electroacupuncture had lower incidence of peripheral neuropathy than those receiving acupuncture treatment(χ~2= 9.745, P = 0.002).The grades of peripheral neuropathy were significantly different in the two groups post-treatment(χ~2= 13.983, P =0.007).The total effective rates for traditional Chinese clinical symptoms were 16.7% and 84.2% in acupuncture and electroacupuncture groups, respectively(Z =-4.239, P < 0.001).The electroacupuncture treatment provided a more satisfactory life for patients compared with acupuncture(Z =-4.76, P < 0.001).Both electroacupuncture and acupuncture had no effects on immune function.CONCLUSION:Electroacupuncture could alleviate CIPN, and improve traditional Chinese clinical symptoms and quality of life, but did not affect immune function.Zhang Shiqiang Wu Tingting Zhang Haisheng Yang Yun Jiang Haiyan Cao Shengcheng Xie Fang Xia Xiaoting Lü Junqiang Zhong Yi 2017Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2017,37,2:7
5Study about thermal runaway behavior of high specific energy density Li-ion batteries in a low state of charge显示文摘Lithium-ion batteries are widely used in electric vehicles and electronics, and their thermal safety receives widespread attention from consumers. In our study, thermal runaway testing was conducted on the thermal stability of commercial lithium-ion batteries, and the internal structure of the battery was analyzed with an in-depth focus on the key factors of the thermal runaway. 6Cardiac fibroblast heat shock protein 47 aggravates cardiac fibrosis post myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury by encouraging ubiquitin specific peptidase 10 dependent Smad4 deubiquitination显示文摘Despite complications were significantly reduced due to the popularity of percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) in clinical trials, reperfusion injury and chronic cardiac remodeling significantly contribute to poor prognosis and rehabilitation in AMI patients. We revealed the effects of HSP47 on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury(IRI) and shed light on the underlying molecular mechanism.We generated adult mice with lentivirus-mediated or miRNA(mi1/133TS)-aided cardiac fibroblastselective HSP47 overexpression. Myocardial IRI was induced by 45-min occlusion of the left anterior descending(LAD) artery followed by 24 h reperfusion in mice, while ischemia-mediated cardiac remodeling was induced by four weeks of reperfusion. Also, the role of HSP47 in fibrogenesis was evaluated in cardiac fibroblasts following hypoxia-reoxygenation(HR). Extensive HSP47 was observed in murine infarcted hearts, human ischemic hearts, and cardiac fibroblasts and accelerated oxidative stress and apoptosis after myocardial IRI. Cardiac fibroblast-selective HSP47 overexpression exacerbated cardiac dysfunction caused by chronic myocardial IRI and presented deteriorative fibrosis and cell proliferation.HSP47 upregulation in cardiac fibroblasts promoted TGFβ1-Smad4 pathway activation and Smad4 deubiquitination by recruiting ubiquitin-specific peptidase 10(USP10) in fibroblasts. However, cardiac fibroblast specific USP10 deficiency abolished HSP47-mediated fibrogenesis in hearts. Moreover, blockage of HSP47 with Col003 disturbed fibrogenesis in fibroblasts following HR. 7Green tea polyphenols protect spinal cord neurons against hydrogen peroxide-induced oxidative stress显示文摘Green tea polyphenols are strong antioxidants and can reduce free radical damage. To investigate their neuroprotective potential, we induced oxidative damage in spinal cord neurons using hydrogen peroxide, and applied different concentrations(50–200 μg/mL) of green tea polyphenol to the cell medium for 24 hours. Measurements of superoxide dismutase activity, malondialdehyde content, and expression of apoptosis-related genes and proteins revealed that green tea polyphenol effectively alleviated oxidative stress. 8Absence of hexavalent chromium in marine carbonates:implications for chromium isotopes as paleoenvironment proxy显示文摘The oxygenation of Earth’s atmosphere is widely regarded to have played an important role in early-life evolution.Chromium(Cr)isotopes recorded in sedimentary rocks have been used to constrain the atmospheric oxygen level(AOL)over geological times based on the fact that a positive Cr isotopic signature is linked to the presence of Cr(Ⅵ)as a result of oxidative continental weathering.However,there is no direct evidence of the presence of Cr(Ⅵ)in sedimentary rocks yet.Carbonates are most widely distributed over geological times and were thought to have incorporated Cr(Ⅵ)directly from seawater.Here,we present results of Cr valence states in carbonates which show Cr(Ⅲ)is the dominant species in all samples spanning a wide range of geological times.These findings indicate that Cr(Ⅵ)in seawater was reduced either before or after carbonate precipitation,which might have caused Cr isotopic fractionation between seawater and carbonates,or marine carbonates preferentially uptake Cr(Ⅲ)from seawater.As Cr(Ⅲ)can come from non-redox Cr cycling,which also can cause isotopic fractionation,we suggest that positively fractionated Cr isotopic values do not necessarily correspond to the rise in AOL.Ziyao Fang Liping Qin Wei Liu Tao Yao Xiaoyan Chen Shiqiang Wei 2021National Science Review2021,8,3:2
9Protein hairy enhancer of split-1 expression during differentiation of muscle-derived stem cells into neuron-like cells显示文摘Muscle-derived stem cells were isolated from the skeletal muscle of Sprague-Dawley neonatal rats aged 3 days old. Cells at passage 5 were incubated in Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium supplemented with 10% (v/v) fetal bovine serum, 20 μg/L nerve growth factor, 20 μg/L basic fibroblast growth factor and 1% (v/v) penicillin for 6 days. Cells presented with long processes, similar to nerve cells. Connections were formed between cell processes. Immunocytochemical staining with neuron specific enolase verified that cells differentiated into neuron-like cells. Immunofluorescence cytochemistry and western blot results revealed that the expression of protein hairy enhancer of split-1 was significantly reduced. 20A Variational Model for Staircase Reduction in Image Denoising显示文摘We propose a new variational model to reduce the staircase that often appears in Total variation(TV) based models in image denoising.The model uses BV-seminorm and Besov-seminorm to measure the piecewise constant component and piecewise smooth component of the image,respectively.We discuss the nontrivial property of the proposed model and introduce an alternating iteration algorithm that combines the dual pro jection algorithm with Wavelet soft thresholding(WST) algorithm to solve the model numerically.The experimental results show that the proposed model is effective for noise removal and staircase reduction,while the contour can be preserved in the denoised images.Furthermore,compared with two classical staircase reduction models,CEP2 and TGV,the proposed model is much faster than these two models.TANG Liming FANG Zhuang XIANG Changcheng CHEN Shiqiang HUANG Darong 2017Chinese Journal of Electronics2017,26,2:1
