1MiR-30a Positively Regulates the Inflammatory Response of Microglia in Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis显示文摘Multiple sclerosis(MS) is a classical inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system(CNS). Microglia are the main resident immune cells in the CNS and are closely associated with the pathogenesis of MS.In the present study, we found that mi R-30 a was highly expressed in jellyfish-like microglia in chronic active lesions of MS patients, as well as in the microglia of mice with experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE) at the chronic phase. In vitro, the conditioned supernatant of mouse microglia overexpressing miR-30 a promoted the apoptosis of oligodendrocyte precursor cells(OPCs), and inhibited OPC differentiation. In vivo, overexpressing miR-30 a in transplanted microglia exacerbated the progression of EAE.Overexpression and knock-down experiments in primary cultured mouse microglia showed that mi R-30 a increased the expression of IL-1 b and i NOS, which are pro-inflammatory, while inhibiting the expression of Ym-1 and CD206.Mechanistically, mi R-30 a inhibited the expression of Ppargc1 b, which is the co-activator of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma, resulting in pro-inflammatory effects. 5Pyrolyzing soft template-containing poly(ionic liquid)into hierarchical N-doped porous carbon for electroreduction of carbon dioxide显示文摘Heteroatom-doped carbon materials have demonstrated great potential in the electrochemical reduction reaction of CO_(2)(CO_(2)RR)due to their versatile structure and function.However,rational structure control remains one challenge.In this work,we reported a unique carbon precursor of soft template-containing porous poly(ionic liquid)(PIL)that was directly synthesized via free-radical self-polymerization of ionic liquid monomer in a soft template route.Variation of the carbonization temperature in a direct pyrolysis process without any additive yielded a series of carbon materials with facile adjustable textural properties and N species.Significantly,the integration of soft-template in the PIL precursor led to the formation of hierarchical porous carbon material with a higher surface area and larger pore size than that from the template-free precursor.In CO_(2)RR to CO,the champion catalyst gave a Faraday efficiency of 83.0%and a current density of 1.79 mA·cm^(-2)at-0.9 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(vs.RHE).The abundant graphite N species and hierarchical pore structure,especially the unique hierarchical small-/ultramicropores were revealed to enable better CO_(2)RR performance.Mingdong Sun Zhengyun Bian Weiwei Cui Xiaolong Zhao Shu Dong Xuebin Ke Yu Zhou Jun Wang 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,3:1

7Pinocembrin Promotes OPC Differentiation and Remyelination via the mTOR Signaling Pathway显示文摘The exacerbation of progressive multiple sclerosis(MS)is closely associated with obstruction of the differentiation of oligodendrocyte progenitor cells(OPCs).To discover novel therapeutic compounds for enhancing remyelination by endogenous OPCs,we screened for myelin basic protein expression using cultured rat OPCs and a library of small-molecule compounds.One of the most effective drugs was pinocembrin,which remarkably promoted OPC differentiation and maturation without affecting cell proliferation and survival.Based on these in vitro effects,we further assessed the therapeutic effects of pinocembrin in animal models of demyelinating diseases.We demonstrated that pinocembrin significantly ameliorated the progression of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE)and enhanced the repair of demyelination in lysolectin-induced lesions.Further studies indicated that pinocembrin increased the phosphorylation level of mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR).Taken together,our results demonstrated that pinocembrin promotes OPC differentiation and remyelination through the phosphorylated mTOR pathway,and suggest a novel therapeutic prospect for this natural flavonoid product in treating demyelinating diseases.Qi Shao Ming Zhao Wenwen Pei Yingyan Pu Mingdong Liu Weili Liu Zhongwang Yu Kefu Chen Hong Liu Benqiang Deng Li Cao 2021Neuroscience Bulletin2021,37,9:1
8Ionic porous polyamide derived N-doped carbon towards highly selective electroreduction of CO_(2)显示文摘Electrochemical CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2) RR) has attracted growing attention in energy storage and sustainable production of fuels and chemicals. N-doped carbon materials are preferred metal-free electrocatalysts, but it remains one challenge to finely engineer the active sites and porosity. Herein, we demonstrated that ionic porous polyamides were a kind of versatile precursors to prepare functional carbon materials in a one-step pyrolysis process. The polyamide precursors allowed the maintenance of abundant N species at high temperatures. The existence of ionic moieties and large specific surface area of the precursors promoted the formation of larger porosity carbon with a large specific surface area and sufficient active graphitic-N species by controlling the pyrolysis temperature. The catalyst was highly selective in the CO_(2) RR to produce CO with a maximum Faraday efficiency above 99%, attributable to the improved mass transfer in a large porosity system. 9Short-term variations and influencing factors of suspended sediment concentrations at the Heisha Beach,Guangdong,China显示文摘Knowledge of sediment variation processes is essential to understand the evolution mechanism of beach morphology changes.Thus,a field measurement was conducted at the Heisha Beach,located on the west coast of the Zhujiang River(Pearl River)Estuary,to investigate the short-term variation in suspended sediment concentrations(SSCs)and the relationship between the SSC and turbulent kinetic energy,bottom shear stress(BSS),and relative wave height.Based on extreme event analysis results,extreme events have a greater influence on turbulent kinetic energy than SSC.Although a portion of the turbulent kinetic energy dissipates directly into the water column,it plays an important role in suspended sediment motion.Most of the time,the wave-current interaction is strong enough to drive sediment incipience and resuspension.When combined,the wave-current interaction and wave-induced BSSs have a greater influence on suspended sediment transport and SSC variation than current-induced BSS alone.The relative wave height also has a strong correlation with SSC,indicating that the combined effect of water depth and wave height significantly impacts SSC variation.Water depth is mainly controlled by the tide on the beaches;thus,the effects of tides and waves should be conjunctively considered when analyzing the factors influencing SSC.Jintang Ou Haoyan Dong Liangwen Jia Xiangxin Luo Zixiao He Kanglin Chen Jing Liu Yitong Lin Mingdong Yu Mingen Liang 2022Acta Oceanologica Sinica2022,41,5:0
