| 1 | Mechanism of Japanese encephalitis virus genotypes replacement based on human,porcine and mosquito-originated cell lines model显示文摘Objective:To examine the multiplication efficiency Japanese encephalitis virus(JEV)genotype Ⅰ(G Ⅰ) and genotype Ⅲ(GⅢ) of different cell lines which originated from human,porcine,mosquitoes in order to prove mechanism of JEV G Ⅰ replacement JEV GⅢ since it emerging in nature recent decades.Methods:The mixture of Gi and GⅢ JEV isolates was inoculated on human rhabdomyosarcoma(RD).pig kidney epithelial(PS) and Aedes albopictus C6/36 clone(C6/36) which originated from human,porcine and mosquitoes,respectively.Plaque assays were performed to calculate virus titer and real-time RT-PCR with GⅠand GⅢspecific primer sets to quantify the number of GⅠ and GUI RNA copies.Results:The highest virus titer reached at the 3rd day of post infection when G Ⅰand GⅢ mixture was inoculated on RD and PS and that of C636 was at the 4^(th)day.JEVs were amplified and maintained by C6/36 cells after 10 passages whereas that by RD and PS only limited within 8 and 6 passages,respectively.GⅠ strain amplified and maintained more efficiently on C6/36 and PS but not RD.whereas GⅢ strain amplified and maintained more efficiently on RD.Conclusions:There is a correlation between the multiplication efficiency of GⅠ and GⅢ JEV strains when these two genotype strains co-infected on different cell lines with the predominance of GⅠstrains in C6/36 and PS and the limited detection of G 1 strains in RD cells proving a possible mechanism of shift JEV genotypes in nature recent decades since GⅠ emerging. | Loan Phuong Do Trang Minh Bui Nga Thi Phan | 2016 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2016,9,4: | 5 |
| 2 | Genetic diversity in two threatened species in Vietnam:Taxus chinensis and Taxus wallichiana显示文摘Taxus chinensis and T. wallichiana in have been threatened in their distribution areas in recent decades because of their over-exploitation and reduction and destruction of native habitats. Determining the genetic diversity in populations of the two species will provide guidelines for their protection and preservation. Two hundred and fifteen trees from six populations of T. chinensis and150 sampled trees of T. wallichiana were sampled. Six microsatellite primer pairs selected from 16 primer pairs were used to investigate genetic variation at the population and species levels. Five yielded polymorphic alleles, and among the 13 putative alleles amplified, 11 were polymorphic(accounting for 76.33 %).Shannon's information index(I) and percentage of polymorphic bands(PPB)(I = 0.202 and PPB = 67.22 % for T. chinensis; I = 0.217 and PPB = 65.03 % for T. wallichiana). Both species had low levels of genetic diversity(mean H_o= 0.107, H_e= 0.121 for T. chinensis; H_o= 0.095, H_e= 0.109 for T. wallichiana). Genetic differentiation among populations was higher(FST= 0.189) for T. chinensis and lower(0.156) for T.wallichiana, indicating limited gene flow(Nm) among populations for T. chinensis(0.68) and T. wallichiana(0.65).Variation among individuals of T. chinensis was 63.59 and73.12 % for T. wallichiana. Thus, the threatened status of the two conifers is related to a lack of genetic diversity. All populations are isolated in small forest remnants. | 3 | Ethanol extracts of Scutellaria baicalensis protect against lipopolysaccharide-induced acute liver injury in mice显示文摘Objective: To investigated the protective potential of ethanol extracts of Scutellaria baicalensis(S. baicalensis) against lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced liver injury. Methods: Dried roots of S. baicalensis were extracted with ethanol and concentrated to yield a dry residue. Mice were administered 200 mg/kg of the ethanol extracts orally once daily for one week. Animals were subsequently administered a single dose of LPS(5 mg/kg of body weight, intraperitoneal injection). Both protein and m RNA levels of cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor alpha, interleukin-1β, and interleukin-6 in liver tissues were evaluated by ELISA assay and quantitative PCR. C yclooxygenase-2, inducible nitric oxide synthase, and nuclear factor-κB protein levels in liver tissues were analyzed by western blotting. Results: Liver injury induced by LPS signifi cantly increased necrosis factor alpha, interleukin-1β, interleukin-6, cyclooxygenase-2, inducible nitric oxide synthase, and nuclear factor-κB in liver tissues. | 4 | A comparative study of three different learning algorithms applied to ANFIS for predicting daily suspended sediment concentration显示文摘The modeling and prediction of suspended sediment in a river are key elements in global water recourses and environment policy and management. In the present study, an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System model trained with the Levenberg-Marquardt learning algorithm is considered for time series modeling of suspended sediment concentration in a river. The model is trained and validated using daily river discharge and suspended sediment concentration data from the Schuylkill River in the United States. The results of the proposed method are evaluated and compared with similar networks trained with the common Hybrid and Back-Propagation algorithms, which are widely used in the literature for prediction of suspended sediment concentration. | 5 | Protective effect of Tetracera scandens L.leaf extract against CCl_4-induced acute liver injury in rats显示文摘Objective:To investigate the protective potential of ethanolic extracts of Tetracera scandens L.(T.scandens) against CCl_4 induced oxidative stress in liver tissues.Methods:Dried leaf powder of T.scandens was extracted with ethanol and concentrated to yield a dry residue.Rats were administered with 100 mg/kg of ethanolic extracts orally once daily for one week.Animals were subsequently administered with a single dose of CCl_4(I mL/kg body weight,intraperitoneal injection).Various assays,such as serum levels of alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,lipid peroxidation,protein oxidation(carbonyl protein group),tumor necrosis factor alpha,catalase,superoxide dismutase,and glutathione peroxidase,were used to assess damage caused by CCl_4 and the protective effects of the ethanol extract on liver tissues.Results:Hepatotoxicity induced by CCl_4 was evidenced by a significant increase in serum aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase level,lipid peroxidation,protein carbonyl group,and tumor necrosis factor alpha,as well as decreased activity of the hepatic antioxidant enzymes(catalase.superoxide dismutase.and glutathione peroxidase).Treatment with ethanolic T.scandens extracts prevented all of these typically observed changes in CCl_4-treated rats.Conclusions:Our findings indicate that T.scandens has a significant protective effect against CCl_4 induced hepatotoxicity in rat.which may be due to its antioxidant properties. | Tung Bui Thanh Hai Nguyen Thanh Hue Pham Thi Minh Huong Le-Thi-Thu Huong Duong Thi Ly Loi Vu Duc | 2015 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2015,5,3: | 3 |

| 13 | LEUNIG_HOMOLOG and LEUNIG Regulate Seed Mucilage Extrusion in Arabidopsis显示文摘LEUNIG(LUG)and LEUNIG_HOMOLOG(LUH)encode two closely related Arabidopsis proteins,belonging to the Gro/TLE family of transcriptional co-repressors.These two genes were previously shown to exhibit partially overlapping functions in embryo and flower development.In this report,the role of both LUH and LUG on seed mucilage extrusion was examined.Seed mucilage extrusion occurs after the seeds are imbibed,serving as functional aid in seed hydration,germination,and dispersal.While luh-1 mutants exhibited strong defects in seed mucilage extrusion,lug-3 mutants exhibited a minor phenotype in mucilage extrusion.Further characterization indicates that luh-1 does not exhibit any obvious defect in seed epidermal cell differentiation,mucilage synthesis,or mucilage deposition,suggesting a specific role of LUH in mucilage extrusion.This seed mucilage phenotype of luh-1 is identical to that of mucilage modified 2(mum2)mutants.MUM2 encodes a β-galactosidase required for the modification of the mucilage.Quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction of RNA extracted from siliques detected a slight decrease of MUM2 mRNA in the luh-1 mutant compared to the wild type.Together,LUH and possibly LUG may specifically regulate mucilage extrusion by promoting the expression of genes required for mucilage maturation. | Minh Bui Nathan Lim Paja Sijacic | 2011 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2011,53,5: | 1 |

| 18 | Combining SnO_(2-x)and g-C_(3)N_(4)nanosheets toward S-scheme heterojunction for high selectivity into green products of NO degradation reaction under visible light显示文摘NOx emissions cause many negative impacts on the living environment.The photocatalysis of semiconductors is superior for nitric oxide(NO)degradation due to their low redox potential.In this report,we combine SnO_(2-x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)heterojunction photocatalyst toward the high selectivity into green products under visible light illumination.Results show that SnO_(2-x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)heterojunction degraded 40.8%of NO,which is 1.6 times higher than that of g-C_(3)N_(4).In addition,the selectivity coefficient of SnO_(2-x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)is higher 3 times than both pure SnO_(2-x)and g-C_(3)N_(4).Furthermore,SnO_(2-x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)expresses a superior stability for NO photocatalytic-degradation after five cycles.The scavenger trapping test results,and electron spin resonance(ESR)analysis also provide more understanding of the charge transfer mechanism of materials.SnO_(2-x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)heterojunction shows a high removal efficiency of NO gas,making it an up-and-coming environmental treatment candidate. | Pham Van Viet Thanh-Dat Nguyen Dai-Phat Bui Cao Minh Thi | 2022 | Journal of Materiomics2022,8,1: | 1 |
