2Circular RNA circ-LDLRAD3 as a biomarker in diagnosis of pancreatic cancer显示文摘AIM To analyze the diagnostic value of a circular RNA(circR NA), circ-LDLRAD3, in pancreatic cancer.METHODS Expression levels of circ-LDLRAD3 were tested in both cells and clinical samples; the latter included 30 paired pancreatic cancer tissues and adjacent non-tumorous tissues, 31 plasma samples from patients with pancreatic cancer, and 31 plasma samples from healthy volunteers. Real-time quantitative reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction(q RT-PCR) was performed to measure expression levels of circ-LDLRAD3 in cells and clinical samples; then, the relationship between clinicopathological factors of patient samples and expression of circ-LDLRAD3 in pancreatic cancer was analyzed. The diagnostic value of circ-LDLRAD3 was verified by receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve analysis.RESULTS Circ-LDLRAD3 was up-regulated in pancreatic cancer cell lines(P < 0.01), pancreatic cancer tissues(P < 0.01), and plasma samples from patients with pancreatic cancer(P < 0.01). High expression of circLDLRAD3 was significantly associated with venous invasion, lymphatic invasion, and metastasis. 4The Summer Snow Cover Anomaly over the Tibetan Plateau and Its Association with Simultaneous Precipitation over the Mei-yu–Baiu region显示文摘The summer snow anomalies over the Tibetan Plateau(TP) and their effects on climate variability are often overlooked, possibly due to the fact that some datasets cannot properly capture summer snow cover over high terrain. The satellite-derived Equal-Area Scalable Earth grid(EASE-grid) dataset shows that snow still exists in summer in the western part and along the southern flank of the TP. Analysis demonstrates that the summer snow cover area proportion(SCAP) over the TP has a significant positive correlation with simultaneous precipitation over the mei-yu–baiu(MB) region on the interannual time scale. The close relationship between the summer SCAP and summer precipitation over the MB region could not be simply considered as a simultaneous response to the Silk Road pattern and the SST anomalies in the tropical Indian Ocean and tropical central-eastern Pacific. The SCAP anomaly has an independent effect and may directly modulate the land surface heating and, consequently, vertical motion over the western TP, and concurrently induce anomalous vertical motion over the North Indian Ocean via a meridional vertical circulation. Through a zonal vertical circulation over the tropics and a Kelvin wave-type response, anomalous vertical motion over the North Indian Ocean may result in an anomalous high over the western North Pacific and modulate the convective activity in the western Pacific warm pool, which stimulates the East Asia–Pacific(EAP) pattern and eventually affects summer precipitation over the MB region.LIU Ge WU Renguang ZHANG Yuanzhi NAN Sulan 2014Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2014,31,4:12
5Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Luminescent Property of a Ag(Ⅰ) Coordination Polymer with a 3D Sandwich-like Framework显示文摘A new coordination polymer,{[Ag_2(bpp)_2(H_2O)_2]·bpdc·3H_2O}_n,derived from the ligand biphenyl-4,4'-dicarboxylic acid(H_2bpdc),has been obtained through a hydrothermal technique(bpp = l,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane).Its single-crystal structure has been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction,powder XRD,FT-IR,TGA and elemental analysis techniques.The single-crystal X-ray diffraction reveals that complex 1 consists of 1D infinite[Ag(bpp)(H_2O)]_n^(n+)cationic chains,2D anionic layer constructed by bpdc anions and free water which provide charge compensation in the crystal structure.The 1D infinite[Ag(bpp)(H_2O)]_n^(n+) cationic chains and 2D anionic layer are further stacked in-ABAB- fashion through intermolecular H-bonding to form a 3D sandwich-like framework.In addition,the luminescent property of complex 1 in the solid state at room temperature was investigated.LU Jiu-Fu SHI Juan ZHENG Nan GUO Xiao-Hua GE Hong-Guang 2016Chinese Journal of Structural Chemistry2016,35,2:10
6Physicians’Perception of Palliative Care Consultation Service in a Major General Hospital in China显示文摘Objectives The in-hosptial palliative care consultation(PCC)is emerging as a routine service in some medical center in China.The current study evaluated how physicians in primary care team and consultation team perceive the PCC service for the purpose of investigating the effectiveness of this consultation model in a general hospital.Methods In-hosptial palliative care consultations have been carried out at Peking Union Medical College Hosptial by a dedicated consultation team,and37consultations were completed in2016.A questionnaire was designed for physicians in terms of its benefits to patients,their family as well as the primary care team.Physicians who applied for consultation in2016formally(requested from the department other than the Geriatrics)and informally(by rotating residents and unemployed visiting doctors in geriatric department)were invited to participate in the survey by scanning a two dimentional code on social networking platform.Results There were103physicians participated in the survey,including primary care physicians from the department of Internal Medicine(n=8),Gynaecology(n=16)and Surgery(n=13),rotating residents(n=30),visiting doctors(n=16)in Geriatric department,and PCC team members(n=20).94.0%of the non-PCC physicians agreed that PCC relieved the suffering of patients;89.2%thought PCC improved the quality of patients'life;there were91.6%,95.2%,90.4%physicians who felt it relieved the anxiety of patients,of family members and of care providers,respectively.There were96.4%physicians who felt it could ease the tension in physician-patient relationship;97.6%felt it lower the risk for medical negligence,and96.4%of doctors who applied for PPC felt satisfied with PCC service in terms of process and achieving objectives of consultation.More primary-team physician agree'PCC service helps the physicians better understand palliative care'than PCC members(97.6%vs.80%,P<0.05),while both were interested in learning more on palliative medicine(100%vs.96.4%,P>0.05).Xuan Qu Nan Jiang Nan Ge Xiaohong Ning 2018Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2018,33,4:9

8Effects of premedication with Pronase for endoscopic ultrasound of the stomach: A randomized controlled trial显示文摘AIM To analyze the effects of premedication with Pronase for endoscopic ultrasound(EUS) examination of the stomach.METHODS This was a prospective, randomized and controlled clinical study. All patients were randomly assigned to either the Pronase group or placebo group. The pretreatment solution was a mixed solution of 20000 U of Pronase and 60 m L sodium bicarbonate solution in the Pronase group, while an equal amount of sodium bicarbonate solution was administered to the placebo group. All operators, image evaluators and experimental recorders in EUS did not participate in the preparation and allocation of pretreatment solution. Two blinded investigators assessed the obscurity scores for the EUS images according to the size of artifacts(including ultrasound images of the gastric cavity and the gastric wall). Differences in imaging quality, the duration of examination and the usage of physiological saline during the examination process between the Pronase group and the control group were compared.RESULTS No differences existed in patient demographics between the two groups. For the gastric cavity, the Pronase group had significantly lower mean obscurity scores than the placebo group(1.0476 ± 0.77 vs 1.6129 ± 0.96, respectively, P = 0.000). The mean obscurity scores for the gastric mucosal surface were significantly lower in the Pronase group than the placebo group(1.2063 ± 0.90 vs 1.7581 ± 0.84, respectively, P = 0.001). The average EUS procedure duration for the Pronase group was 11.60 ± 3.32 min, which was significantly shorter than that of the placebo group(13.13 ± 3.81 min, P = 0.007). Less saline was used in the Pronase group than the placebo group, and the difference was significant(417.94 ± 121.38 m L vs 467.42 ± 104.52 mL, respectively, P = 0.016).CONCLUSION The group that had Pronase premedication prior to the EUS examination had clearer images than the placebo group. 10Early experiences on living donor liver transplantation in China: multicenter report显示文摘Background Because of the lack of brain death laws in China, the proportion of cadaveric organ donation is low. Many patients with end-stage liver disease die waiting for a suitable donor. Living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) would reduce the current discrepancy between the number of patients on the transplant waiting list and the number of available organ donors. We describe the early experience of LDLT in the mainland of China based on data from five liver transplant centers. Methods Between January 2001 and October 2003, 45 patients with end-stage liver disease received LDLT at five centers in China. The indication and timing, surgical techniques and complications, nonsurgical issues including rejection, infection, and advantages of LDLT in the series were reviewed. Actuarial patient and graft survival rates were calculated by using the Kaplan-Meier product-limit estimate. Statistical analysis was completed by using SPSS 10.0. Results All LDLT recipients were cirrhotic patients, except for one man with fulminant hepatic failure. Among the 45 cases of LDLT, 35 (77.8%) were performed in one center (the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University). The overall 1 and 3 year survival rate of the recipients was 93.1% and 92.0%, respectively. Of the 45 LDLT donors, there were 3 cases of biliary leakage, 2 subphrenic collections, 1 fat liquefaction around the incision and 1 biliary peritonitis after T tube removal. All donors recovered completely. Conclusions LDLT provides an excellent approach to addressing the problem of donor shortage in China even though the operation is complicated, uncompromising and difficult with respect to the safety of the donors and receptors. Despite early technical hurdles having been overcome, perfection of technique is still necessarily. 11Manipulation of Band Degeneracy and Lattice Strain for Extraordinary PbTe Thermoelectrics显示文摘Maximizing band degeneracy and minimizing phonon relaxation time are proven to be successful for advancing thermoelectrics.Alloying with monotellurides has been known to be an effective approach for converging the valence bands of PbTe for electronic improvements,while the lattice thermal conductivity of the materials remains available room for being further reduced.It is recently revealed that the broadening of phonon dispersion measures the strength of phonon scattering,and lattice dislocations are particularly effective sources for such broadening through lattice strain fluctuations.In this work,a fine control of MnTe and EuTe alloying enables a significant increase in density of electron states near the valence band edge of PbTe due to involvement of multiple transporting bands,while the creation of dense in-grain dislocations leads to an effective broadening in phonon dispersion for reduced phonon lifetime due to the large strain fluctuations of dislocations as confirmed by synchrotron X-ray diffraction.The synergy of both electronic and thermal improvements successfully leads the average thermoelectric figure of merit to be higher than that ever reported for p-type PbTe at working temperatures.Yixuan Wu Pengfei Nan Zhiwei Chen Zezhu Zeng Siqi Lin Xinyue Zhang Hongliang Dong Zhiqiang Chen Hongkai Gu Wen Li Yue Chen Binghui Ge Yanzhong Pei 2020Research2020,,1:6
12LBE-DEM coupled simulation of gas-solid two-phase cross jets显示文摘This paper establishes a lattice Boltzmann equation-discrete element method (LBE-DEM) coupled simulation method under the Eulerian-Lagrangian framework at first, and applies it to simulating a two-dimensional gas-solid two-phase cross jet. The gas phase is simulated by the lattice-Boltzmann method via the TD2G9 model; the solid phase is traced by the Lagrangian method and the inter-particle collision is calculated by the DEM method. Three values of the Stokes number St=10, 25, and 50 are simulated under the same mass loading. This paper focuses on the characteristics of vortex structure, particle distribution, and the reverse-flow/rebounding rate in cross jets. We analyze the characteristics of fluid vortex motion, particle cluster distribution, rebounding rate of particles and the influencing factors for them. The results show the existence of joint distribution of discrete clusters and discrete particles in cross jets. Meanwhile, it shows that a larger concentration of particles in the early stage of jet evolution or a smaller Stokes number under the same mass loading can produce a larger rebounding rate. 13Hyperamylasemia is associated with increased intestinal permeability in patients undergoing diagnostic oral double-balloon enteroscopy显示文摘AIM:To investigate the correlations between serum amylase levels,intestinal permeability(IP),and pancreatic injury and to explore the mechanisms responsible for hyperamylasemia in double-balloon enteroscopy(DBE).METHODS:A prospective study was conducted in 20patients who underwent DBE from August 1,2008 to February 28,2009.Serum amylase was examined 0,2,6 and 24 h post-DBE,C-reactive protein and lipase were examined at 24 h,and urine lactulose,mannitol,and trypsinogen-Ⅱ(TRY-Ⅱ)levels were measured at6 h.Lactulose/mannitol ratio indicated IP,and TRY-Ⅱindicated pancreatic injuries.Procedure duration and enteroscope insertion length were recorded.RESULTS:Twelve patients underwent oral DBE(M:F,5:7;mean age 50.42±11.11 years)and 8 underwent anal DBE(M:F,5:3;mean age 44.75±12.66 years).They all showed significantly increased post-DBE serum amylase.Amylase and lipase levels were higher in the oral DBE group(P<0.05).Hyperamylasemia was diagnosed in 9(75.0%)patients undergoing oral DBE.Only patients receiving oral DBE showed increased postprocedure IP,which correlated with increased serum amylase(r=0.611,P=0.035)and procedure duration(r=0.668,P=0.018).Adverse events included one oral case with pancreatic injury(elevated TRY-Ⅱ)and two cases of abdominal discomfort in each group.Pancreatitis was not reported.CONCLUSION:Hyperamylasemia correlates with increased IP and clinically undetectable pancreatic injuries.DBE could cause intestinal mucosa damage,which may result in IP elevation and increased amylase absorption,necessitating improvements and standardization of DBE methods.Nan Feng Jun Dai Hong Lu Xiao-Bo Li Yun-Jie Gao Zhi-Zheng Ge 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,2:6
14Microwave ablation of primary breast cancer inhibits metastatic progression in model mice via activation of natural killer cells显示文摘Surgery is essential for controlling the symptoms and complications of stage IV breast cancer.However,locoregional treatment of primary tumors often results in distant progression,including lung metastasis,the most common type of visceral metastasis.As a minimally invasive thermal therapy,microwave ablation(MWA)has been attempted in the treatment of breast cancer,but the innate immune response after MWA has not yet been reported.Using two murine models of stage IV breast cancer,we found that MWA of primary breast cancer inhibited the progression of lung metastasis and improved survival.NK cells were activated after MWA of the primary tumor and exhibited enhanced cytotoxic functions,and the cytotoxic pathways of NK cells were activated.Depletion experiments showed that NK cells but not CD4+or CD8+T cells played a pivotal role in prolonging survival.Then,we found that compared with surgery or control treatment,MWA of the primary tumor induced completely different NK-cell-related cytokine profiles.Macrophages were activated after MWA of the primary tumor and produced IL-15 that activated NK cells to inhibit the progression of metastasis.In addition,MWA of human breast cancer stimulated an autologous NK-cell response.These results demonstrate that MWA of the primary tumor in metastatic breast cancer inhibits metastatic progression via the macrophage/IL-15/NK-cell axis.MWA of the primary tumor may be a promising treatment strategy for de novo stage IV breast cancer,although further substantiation is essential for clinical testing.Muxin Yu Hong Pan Nan Che Li Li Cong Wang Yue Wang Ge Ma Mengjia Qian Jiawei Liu Mingjie Zheng Hui Xie Lijun Ling Yi Zhao Xiaoxiang Guan Qiang Ding Wenbin Zhou Shui Wang 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,9:5
15Treatment results and prognostic factors of patients undergoing postoperative radiotherapy for laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘Postoperative radiotherapy (PRT) is widely advocated for patients with squamous cell carcinomas of the head and neck that are considered to be at high risk of recurrence after surgical resection. The aims of this study were to evaluate the treatment outcomes of PRT for patients with laryngeal carcinoma and to identify the value of several prognostic factors. We reviewed the records of 256 patients treated for laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma between January 1993 and December 2005. Disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) were estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method. Log-rank test was employed to identify significant prognostic factors for DFS and OS. The Cox proportional hazards model was applied to identify covariates significantly associated with the aforementioned endpoints. Our results showed the 3-, 5-, and 10-year DFS for all patients were 69.9%, 59.5%, and 34.9%, respectively. The 3-, 5-, and 10-year OS rates were 80.8%, 68.6%, and 38.8%, respectively. Significant prognostic factors for both DFS and OS on univariate analysis were grade, primary site, T stage, N stage, overall stage, lymph node metastasis, overall treatment times of radiation, the interval between surgery and radiotherapy, and radiotherapy equipment. Favorable prognostic factors for both DFS and OS on multivariate analysis were lower overall stage, no cervical lymph node metastasis, and using 60Co as radiotherapy equipment. 16Novel insights into host-pathogen interactions of large yellow croakers(Larimichthys crocea)and pathogenic bacterium Pseudomonas plecoglossicida using time-resolved dual RNA-seq of infected spleens显示文摘Host-pathogen interactions are highly complex,involving large dynamic changes in gene expression during infection. These interactions are fundamental to understanding anti-infection immunity of hosts, as well as the pathogenesis of pathogens. For bacterial pathogens interacting with animal hosts, timeresolved dual RNA-seq of infected tissue is difficult to perform due to low pathogen load in infected tissue. In this study, an acute infection model of Larimichthys crocea infected by Pseudomonas plecoglossicida was established. The spleens of infected fish exhibited typical symptoms, with a maximum bacterial load at two days post-injection(dpi). Time-resolved dual RNA-seq of infected spleens was successfully applied to study hostpathogen interactions between L. crocea and P.plecoglossicida. The spleens of infected L. crocea were subjected to dual RNA-seq, and transcriptome data were compared with those of noninfected spleens or in vitro cultured bacteria. Results showed that pathogen-host interactions were highly dynamically regulated, with corresponding fluctuations in host and pathogen transcriptomes during infection. The expression levels of many immunogenes involved in cytokine-cytokine receptor,Toll-like receptor signaling, and other immunerelated pathways were significantly up-regulated during the infection period. Furthermore, metabolic processes and the use of oxygen in L. crocea were strongly affected by P. plecoglossicida infection. The WGCNA results showed that the metabolic process was strongly related to the entire immune process.For P. plecoglossicida, the expression levels of motility-related genes and flagellum assemblyrelated genes were significantly up-regulated. 17Characteristics of the Large Area Surface Dielectric Barrier Discharge with a Multi-electrode Configuration显示文摘Surface gas discharge(SGD)plasmas have potential applications in the fields of active flow control,gas purification,heat transfer enhancement,etc.In order to obtain a uniform,stable and large-area SGD at atmosphere,a multi-electrode SGD plasma generator is designed in this paper.The major features of this newly-designed SGD plasma generator is as follows:the air-exposed upper grounded electrodes are made of nine tungsten wires and flush mounted on the dielectric PTFE barrier layer,while the lower powered electrode is made of a copper foil and encapsulated inside the PTFE material to avoid the ignition of the gas discharges below the dielectric barrier layer.The measurements on the electrical characteristics,fast imaging of discharges and the preliminary numerical analysis on the electric field distributions suggest that the multi-electrode configuration of the plasma generator plays a crucial role in enhancing the local electrical field,and subsequently,leads to the stable,quasi-uniform and large-area surface discharges.LI Heping CHEN Guoxu WANG Zhibin GE Nan BAO Chengyu 2013高电压技术2013,39,9:4
18Analysis and correlation of fluid acceleration with vorticity and Liutex(Rortex)in swirling jets显示文摘The characteristics of the acceleration a and its correlation with the vortex core in the swirling flow are analyzed in this paper.The swirling flows of four swirl numbers(Sn=n S 0,0.10,0.20 and 0.36)are simulated by the direct numerical simulation,and the fluid mass particles from the inlet of the swirling flow are traced as a database for the current study.The correlations of the acceleration a with the vortex identification parameters of R andωare quantified,where R is the parameter of the“Liutex”-method proposed by Prof.Liu,and its early version is“Rortex”.The probability density functions of the included angles of a-R and a-ωare computed,which are used to clarify the geometrical configuration between a and R.The covariance coefficients between a and the parameters of various vortex core criteria(Q,λ2,ΩL,ΩR,ωand R)are computed and their relative levels of correlation are compared.Compared to the velocity,the expectation and the rms of the acceleration magnitudes and its projections on R and the plane perpendicular to R are computed for better explaining the correlation features between a and R.It is found that a and R are always either perpendicular or parallel to each other with the quantized included angles of∠(a,R)=kπ/2,(k=0,1,2).This confirms the role of R which works as the axis of the vortex exclusively.Nan Gui Hou-bo Qi Liang Ge Peng-Xin Cheng Hao Wu Xing-tuan Yang Ji-yuan Tu Sheng-yao Jiang 2019Journal of Hydrodynamics2019,31,5:4
19Analysis of Spectral Characteristics Based on Optical Remote Sensing and SAR Image Fusion显示文摘Because of cloudy and rainy weather in south China, optical remote sensing images often can't be obtained easily. With the regional trial results in Baoying,Jiangsu province, this paper explored the fusion model and effect of ENVISAT/SAR and HJ-1A satellite multispectral remote sensing images. Based on the ARSIS strategy, using the wavelet transform and the Interaction between the Band Structure Model(IBSM), the research progressed the ENVISAT satellite SAR and the HJ-1A satellite CCD images wavelet decomposition, and low/high frequency coefficient reconstruction, and obtained the fusion images through the inverse wavelet transform.In the light of low and high-frequency images have different characteristics in different areas, different fusion rules which can enhance the integration process of selfadaptive were taken, with comparisons with the PCA transformation, IHS transformation and other traditional methods by subjective and the corresponding quantitative evaluation. Furthermore, the research extracted the bands and NDVI values around the fusion with GPS samples, analyzed and explained the fusion effect. 20Scoparone inhibits pancreatic cancer through PI3K/Akt signaling pathway显示文摘BACKGROUND Pancreatic cancer is a highly malignant tumor of the gastrointestinal system whose emerging resistance to chemotherapy has necessitated the development of novel antitumor treatments.Scoparone,a traditional Chinese medicine monomer with a wide range of pharmacological properties,has attracted considerable attention for its antitumor activity.AIM To explore the potential antitumor effect of scoparone on pancreatic cancer and the possible molecular mechanism of action.METHODS The target genes of scoparone were determined using both the bioinformatics and multiplatform analyses.The effect of scoparone on pancreatic cancer cell proliferation,migration,invasion,cell cycle,and apoptosis was detected in vitro.The expression of hub genes was tested using quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR),and the molecular mechanism was analyzed using Western blot.The in vivo effect of scoparone on pancreatic cancer cell proliferation was detected using a xenograft tumor model in nude mice as well as immunohistochemistry.RESULTS The hub genes involved in the suppression of pancreatic cancer by scoparone were obtained by network bioinformatics analyses using publicly available databases and platforms,including SwissTargetPrediction,STITCH,GeneCards,CTD,STRING,WebGestalt,Cytoscape,and Gepia;AKT1 was confirmed using qRT-PCR to be the hub gene.Cell Counting Kit-8 assay revealed that the viability of Capan-2 and SW1990 cells was significantly reduced by scoparone treatment exhibiting IC50 values of 225.2μmol/L and 209.1μmol/L,respectively.Wound healing and transwell assays showed that scoparone inhibited the migration and invasion of pancreatic cancer cells.Additionally,flow cytometry confirmed that scoparone caused cell cycle arrest and induced apoptosis.Scoparone also increased the expression levels of Bax and cleaved caspase-3,decreased the levels of MMP9 and Bcl-2,and suppressed the phosphorylation of Akt without affecting total PI3K and Akt.Moreover,compared with the control group,xenograft tumors,in the 200μmol/L scoparone treatment group,were smaller in volume and lighter in weight,and the percentages of Ki65-and PCNA-positive cells were decreased.CONCLUSION Our findings indicate that scoparone inhibits pancreatic cancer cell proliferation in vitro and in vivo,inhibits migration and invasion,and induces cycle arrest and apoptosis in vitro through the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway.Na Li Fan Yang Dong-Yan Liu Jin-Tao Guo Nan Ge Si-Yu Sun 2021World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology2021,13,9:4
