1Kinetics and mechanisms of the catalytic thermal cracking of asphaltenes adsorbed on supported nanoparticles显示文摘The production of heavy and extra-heavy oil is challenging because of the rheological properties that crude oil presents due to its high asphaltene content.The upgrading and recovery processes of these unconventional oils are typically water and energy intensive,which makes such processes costly and environmentally unfriendly.Nanoparticle catalysts could be used to enhance the upgrading and recovery of heavy oil under both in situ and ex situ conditions.In this study,the effect of the Ni-Pd nanocatalysts supported on fumed silica nanoparticles on post-adsorption catalytic thermal cracking of n-C_7 asphaltenes was investigated using a thermogravimetric analyzer coupled with FTIR.The performance of catalytic thermal cracking of n-C_7asphaltenes in the presence of NiO and PdO supported on fumed silica nanoparticles was better than on the fumed silica support alone.For a fixed amount of adsorbed n-C_7asphaltenes(0.2 mg/m^2),bimetallic nanoparticles showed better catalytic behavior than monometallic nanoparticles,confirming their synergistic effects.The corrected OzawaFlynn-Wall equation(OFW) was used to estimate the effective activation energies of the catalytic process.The mechanism function,kinetic parameters,and transition state thermodynamic functions for the thermal cracking process of n-C_7 asphaltenes in the presence and absence of nanoparticles are investigated.Tatiana Montoya Blanca L.Argel Nashaat N.Nassar Camilo A.Franco Farid B.Cortés 2016Petroleum Science2016,13,3:2

5Impact of biliary complications on quality of life in live-donor liver transplant recipients显示文摘BACKGROUND Despite significant advancements in liver transplantation(LT)surgical procedures and perioperative care,post-LT biliary complications(BCs)remain a significant source of morbidity,mortality,and graft failure.In addition,data are conflicting regarding the health-related quality of life(HRQoL)of LT recipients.Thus,the success of LT should be considered in terms of both the survival and recovery of HRQoL.AIM To assess the impact of BCs on the HRQoL of live-donor LT recipients(LDLT-Rs).METHODS We retrospectively analysed data for 25 LDLT-Rs who developed BCs post-LT between January 2011 and December 2016 at our institution.The Short Form 12 version 2(SF 12v2)health survey was used to assess their HRQoL.We also included 25 LDLT-Rs without any post-LT complications as a control group.RESULTS The scores for HRQoL of LDLT-Rs who developed BCs were significantly higher than the norm-based scores in the domains of physical functioning(P=0.003),role-physical(P<0.001),bodily pain(P=0.003),general health(P=0.004),social functioning(P=0.005),role-emotional(P<0.001),and mental health(P<0.001).No significant difference between the two groups regarding vitality was detected(P=1.000).The LDLT-Rs with BCs had significantly lower scores than LDLT-Rs without BCs in all HRQoL domains(P<0.001)and the mental(P<0.001)and physical(P=0.0002)component summary scores.CONCLUSION The development of BCs in LDLT-Rs causes a lower range of improvement in HRQoL.Reginia Nabil Guirguis Ehab Hasan Nashaat Azza Emam Yassin Wesam Ahmed Ibrahim Shereen A Saleh Mohamed Bahaa Mahmoud El-Meteini Mohamed Fathy Hany Mansour Dabbous Iman Fawzy Montasser Manar Salah Ghada Abdelrahman Mohamed 2021World Journal of Hepatology2021,13,10:1

12Biliary complications in recipients of living donor liver transplantation:A single-centre study显示文摘BACKGROUND Biliary complications(BCs)after liver transplantation(LT)remain a considerable cause of morbidity,mortality,increased cost,and graft loss.AIM To investigate the impact of BCs on chronic graft rejection,graft failure and mortality.METHODS From 2011 to 2016,215 adult recipients underwent right-lobe living-donor liver transplantation(RT-LDLT)at our centre.We excluded 46 recipients who met the exclusion criteria,and 169 recipients were included in the final analysis.Donors’and recipients’demographic data,clinical data,operative details and postoperative course information were collected.We also reviewed the management and outcomes of BCs.Recipients were followed for at least 12 mo post-LT until December 2017 or graft or patient loss.RESULTS The overall incidence rate of BCs including biliary leakage,biliary infection and biliary stricture was 57.4%.Twenty-seven(16%)patients experienced chronic graft rejection.Graft failure developed in 20(11.8%)patients.A total of 28(16.6%)deaths occurred during follow-up.BCs were a risk factor for the occurrence of chronic graft rejection and failure;however,mortality was determined by recurrent hepatitis C virus infection.CONCLUSION Biliary complications after RT-LDLT represent an independent risk factor for chronic graft rejection and graft failure;nonetheless,effective management of these complications can improve patient and graft survival.Reginia Nabil Guirguis Ehab Hasan Nashaat Azza Emam Yassin Wesam Ahmed Ibrahim Shereen A Saleh Mohamed Bahaa Mahmoud El-Meteini Mohamed Fathy Hany Mansour Dabbous Iman Fawzy Montasser Manar Salah Ghada Abdelrahman Mohamed 2021World Journal of Hepatology2021,13,12:1
13新辅助三维适形放疗和常规二维放疗治疗可手术切除的直肠癌患者剂量学比较研究:来自开罗大学国家肿瘤研究所的报道(英文)显示文摘Objective:This study was to compare this multiple-field conformal technique to the AP-PA technique with respect to target volume coverage and dose to normal tissues.Methods:We conducted a single institutional prospective comparative dosimetric analysis of 22 patients who received neoadjuvant radiation therapy for rectal cancer presented to radiotherapy department in National Cancer Institute,Cairo in period between June 2010 to September 2011 using 3D conformal radiotherapy technique for each patient,a second radiotherapy treatment plan was done using an anteroposterior (AP-PA) fields,the two techniques were then compared using dose volume histogram (DVH) analysis.Results:Comparing different DVHs,it was found that the planning target volume (PTV) was adequately covered in both (3D & 2D) plans while it was demonstrates that this multiple field conformal technique produces superior distribution compared to 2D technique,with considerable sparing of bladder,ovaries and head of both femora.Conclusion:From the present study,it shows that it is recommended to use 3D planning for preoperative cases of cancer rectum so far it produces good coverage of the target as well as good sparing of the surrounding critical organs.Mohamed Mahmoud Hesham A.EL-Hossiny Nashaat A.Diab Marwa A.EL Razek 2012The Chinese-German Journal of Clinical Oncology2012,11,4:0
14全身皮肤电子治疗技术中二极管检测的剂量学评价(英文)显示文摘Objective: The purpose of this study was to present the dosimetric study and evaluation the dose delivered to the skin tumor by using diode detector with total skin electron therapy(TSET). Methods: The total skin electron irradiation(TSEI) technique was used to treat ten patients with histological confirmed mycosis fungoides according to the Stanford staging system at the Radiotherapy Department, National Cancer Institute, Cairo University, Egypt. High dose rate electron beams with low electron energy 5 MeV from a Siemens linear accelerator were used for treatment. Diodes were calibrated at TSET distance 300 cm and field size(35 x 35) cm2. Results: The result of diodes measurements showed the dose to flat surface of the body was within ±10 % from the prescribed dose. Special areas of the body such as the perineum & eyelid showed large deviation up to 30% variation from the prescription dose. Conclusion: The diode results of this study will be used as a quality assurance check for all new patients treated with TSET and to compare it to the prescribed dose delivered to the patients. 15A comprehensive review of tools for exploratory analysis of tabular industrial datasets显示文摘Exploratory data analysis plays a major role in obtaining insights from data.Over the last two decades,researchers have proposed several visual data exploration tools that can assist with each step of the analysis process.Nevertheless,in recent years,data analysis requirements have changed significantly.With constantly increasing size and types of data to be analyzed,scalability and analysis duration are now among the primary concerns of researchers.Moreover,in order to minimize the analysis cost,businesses are in need of data analysis tools that can be used with limited analytical knowledge.To address these challenges,traditional data exploration tools have evolved within the last few years.In this paper,with an in-depth analysis of an industrial tabular dataset,we identify a set of additional exploratory requirements for large datasets.Later,we present a comprehensive survey of the recent advancements in the emerging field of exploratory data analysis.We investigate 50 academic and non-academic visual data exploration tools with respect to their utility in the six fundamental steps of the exploratory data analysis process.We also examine the extent to which these modern data exploration tools fulfill the additional requirements for analyzing large datasets.Finally,we identify and present a set of research opportunities in the field of visual exploratory data analysis.Aindrila Ghosh Mona Nashaat James Miller Shaikh Quader Chad Marston 2018Visual Informatics2018,2,4:0

Results: Comparing different DVHs, it was found that the planning target volume (PTV) was adequately covered in both (3D & 2D) plans while it was demonstrated that this multiple field conformal technique produced superior distribution compared to 2D technique, with considerable sparing of rectum and to lesser extent for the head of both femora. 18Assessment of fibroblast growth factor 19 as a non-invasive serum marker for hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘BACKGROUND Fibroblast growth factor 19(FGF-19)is one of the founding members of the endocrine FGF subfamily.Recently,it has been the subject of much interest owing to its role in various physiological processes affecting glucose and lipid metabolism and the regulation of bile acid secretion as well as cell proliferation,differentiation,and motility.Additionally,FGF-19 secretion in an autocrine style has reportedly contributed to cancer progression in various types of malignancies including hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).AIM To estimate the serum FGF-19 concentrations in HCC cases and assess its diagnostic performance for the detection of HCC.METHODS We recruited 90 adult participants and divided them into three equal groups:Healthy controls,cirrhosis patients,and HCC patients.Serum FGF-19 concentrations were measured using the Human FGF-19 ELISA kit.RESULTS We detected a high statistically significant difference in serum FGF-19 levels among the three groups.The highest level was observed in the HCC group,followed by the cirrhosis and control groups(236.44±40.94 vs 125.63±31.54 vs 69.60±20.90 pg/mL,respectively,P≤0.001).FGF-19 was positively correlated with alpha fetoprotein(AFP;r=0.383,P=0.003)and international normalised ratio(r=0.357,P=0.005),while it was negatively correlated with albumin(r=-0.500,P≤0.001).For the detection of HCC,receiver operating characteristic curve analysis showed that the best cut-off point of AFP was>8.2 ng/mL with an area under the curve(AUC)of 0.78,sensitivity of 63.33%,specificity of 83.33%,positive predictive value(PPV)of 79.2%,negative predictive value(NPV)of 69.4%,and total accuracy of 78%.However,FGF-19 at a cut-off point>180 pg/mL had an AUC of 0.98,sensitivity of 100%,specificity of 90.0%,PPV of 90.0%,NPV of 100%,and total accuracy of 98%.CONCLUSION FGF-19 represents a possible novel non-invasive marker for HCC.It may improve the prognosis of HCC patients due to its utility in several aspects of HCC detection and management.Ghada Abdelrahman Mohamed Ehab Hasan Nashaat Hadeer Mohamed Fawzy Ahmed Mohamed ElGhandour 2022World Journal of Hepatology2022,14,3:0
19局部晚期宫颈癌调强和适形放疗的剂量学对比研究(英文)显示文摘Objective:This study was to compare 5 field conformal technique to the intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) 8 fields technique in boosting locally advanced cancer cervix cases after external beam radiotherapy with respect to target volume coverage and dose to normal tissues. Methods:We conducted a single institutional comparative dosimetric analysis of 10 patients with cancer cervix who was presented to radiotherapy department in National Cancer Institute, Cairo in period between June 2012 to September 2012 and received a CRT boost in the place of planned brachytherapy after large field pelvic radiotherapy (PRT) with concurrent chemotherapy were retrospectively identified. All tumors were situated in the low central pelvis. Two plans were done for every patient; one using the 8 fields IMRT and the second one using 5 fields' 3DCRT the two techniques were then compared using dose volume histogram (DVH) analysis for the PTV, bladder, rectum and both femoral heads. Results:Comparing different DVHs, it was found that the planning target volume (PTV) was adequately covered in both plans while it was demonstrates that the 8 fields IMRT technique carried less doses reaching OARs (rectum, bladder, both femoral heads). Conclusion:From the present study, it is concluded that IMRT technique spared more efficiently OARs than CRT technique but both techniques covered the PTV adequately so whenever possible IMRT technique should be used.Mohamed Mahmoud Hesham A. 20Smart Prediction for Seamless Mobility in F-HMIPv6 Based on Location Based Services显示文摘This paper proposed a new scheme for smooth handoff over F-HMIPv6 networks based on Location Based Services(LBS). It uses the available information about mobile node(MN) such as user mobility patterns and MN's velocity to reduce handoff latency. In the proposed scheme, the movement pattern of users plays an important role in the performance analysis. The proposed scheme develops LBS that records a number of mobility patterns based on user daily behavior, and exploits these information to reduce the handoff latency. The proposed scheme is analyzed and compared with F-HMIPv6 protocol. The results show that it improves the performance in terms of handoff latency, packet delivery cost, and location update cost. Specifically, the proposed scheme achieves the tradeoff between realizing a smooth handoff and minimizing the cost that is the demand for all customers of mobile services.rawya rizk heba nashaat 2018China Communications2018,15,4:0
