| 1 | Discovery and preliminary study of the high tungsten and lithium contents in the Dazhuyuan bauxite deposit, Guizhou, China显示文摘Bauxite in China remains an urgently needed resource largely dependent on imports. Based on the study of the newly-discovered Dazhuyuan bauxite deposit in northeastern Guizhou, we have found new enrichment of tungsten and lithium in bauxite, with the highest WO 3 content up to 0.33% and the highest Li 2 O content up to 0.58%. The present paper reports the initial result, and the spatial distribution feature of W and Li in the ore body (with Li enriched mostly in the north part of the west limb of the Liyuan syncline, whereas W enriched mostly in the central part of the east limb). | 2 | Au plasmon enhanced high performance β-Ga_2O_3 solar-blind photo-detector显示文摘Surface plasmon polariton(SPP) is electro-magnetic wave coupled to free electron oscillations near the surface of metal, and has been used to improve the photoelectric properties in many optoelectronic devices. In the present study, the Au nanoparticles(NPs)/β-Ga_2O_3 composite thin film was fabricated through depositing Au ultra-thin film on the β-Ga_2O_3 thin film followed by post-thermal treatment. Compared to bare β-Ga_2O_3 thin film, a significant absorption around 510 nm, which is attributed to SPP of Au NPs, was observed in the UV–vis spectrum of Au NPs/β-Ga_2O_3 composite thin film. | 3 | Detection of EBV and HHV6 in the Brain Tissue of Patients with Rasmussen's Encephalitis显示文摘Rasmussen's encephalitis (RE) is a rare pediatric neurological disorder, and the exact etiology is not clear. Viral infection may be involved in the pathogenesis of RE, but conflicting results have reported. In this study, we evaluated the expression of both Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and human herpes virus (HHV) 6 antigens in brain sections from 30 patients with RE and16 control individuals by immunohistochemistry. In the RE group, EBV and HHV6 antigens were detected in 56.7% (17/30) and 50% (15/30) of individuals, respectively. In contrast, no detectable EBV and HHV6 antigen expression was found in brain tissues of the control group. The co-expression of EBV and HHV6 was detected in 20.0% (6/30) of individuals. In particular, a 4-year-old boy had a typical clinical course, including a medical history of viral encephalitis,intractable epilepsy, and hemispheric atrophy. The co-expression of EBV and HHV6 was detected in neurons and astrocytes in the brain tissue, accompanied by a high frequency of CD8?T cells. | 4 | Elevated expression of EBV and TLRs in the brain is associated with Rasmussen's encephalitis显示文摘Rasmussen's encephalitis(RE) is a rare pediatric neurological disorder, the etiology of which remains unclear. It has been speculated that the immunopathogenesis of RE involves damage to neurons, which eventually leads to the occurrence of RE. Viral infection may be a critical factor in triggering RE immunopathogenesis. In this study, we analyzed the expression of Epstein-Barr virus(EBV) antigens as well as of Toll-like receptor 3(TLR3), TLR9, and downstream adapter TIRdomain-containing adapter-inducing interferon-β(TRIF) in the brain tissues of 26 patients with RE and 16 control individuals using immunohistochemistry(IHC). In the RE group, EBV antigens were detected in 53% of individuals at various expression levels. In contrast, there was no detectable EBV antigen expression in control brain tissues. Moreover, we found marked increases in the expression of TLR3, TLR9, and TRIF in the brain tissues of RE patients compared with levels in the control group. Furthermore, among RE cases, EBV expression and high TLR3 expression were associated with more severe brain atrophy. | 5 | Unsteady Numerical Simulation of Steam-Solid Two-Phase Flow in the Governing Stage of a Steam Turbine显示文摘Solid particle erosion (SPE) in an ultra-supercritical steam turbine control stage with block configuration is investigatednumerically, based on the finite volume method and the fluid-particle coupling solver. We apply the particlediscrete phase model to model the solid particles flow, and use the Euler conservation equations to solve thecontinuous phase. The investigation is focused on the influence of the solid particle parameters (such as particlediameter, particle velocity and particle trajectory) on the erosion rate of the stator and rotor blade surface in unsteadycondition. The distributions of the highly eroded zone on the stator and rotor blade surfaces are shown anddiscussed in detail according to the mechanism of solid particle/blade wall interaction. We obtain that the erosionrate of the vane blade is sensitive to the fluctuation of the potential flow field, and the smaller particle has agreater impact on the erosion distribution of rotor blade.
