Adaptive optimization methodology based on Kriging modeling and a trust region method显示文摘Surrogate-Based Optimization(SBO) is becoming increasingly popular since it can remarkably reduce the computational cost for design optimizations based on high-fidelity and expensive numerical analyses. However, for complicated optimization problems with a large design space, many design variables, and strong nonlinearity, SBO converges slowly and shows imperfection in local exploitation. This paper proposes a trust region method within the framework of an SBO process based on the Kriging model. In each refinement cycle, new samples are selected by a certain design of experiment method within a variable design space, which is sequentially updated by the trust region method. A multi-dimensional trust-region radius is proposed to improve the adaptability of the developed methodology. Further, the scale factor and the limit factor of the trust region are studied to evaluate their effects on the optimization process. Thereafter, different SBO methods using error-based exploration, prediction-based exploitation, refinement based on the expected improvement function, a hybrid refinement strategy, and the developed trust-regionbased refinement are utilized in four analytical tests. Further, the developed optimization methodology is employed in the drag minimization of an RAE2822 airfoil. Results indicate that it has better robustness and local exploitation capability in comparison with those of other SBO | Chunna LI Qifeng PAN | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2019,32,2: | 13
Experimental Study of Rock Drill-ability Anisotropy by Acoustic Velocity显示文摘Rock drill-ability anisotropy has significant effects on directional drilling and deviation control. Its evaluation is an important but difficult research subject. Definitions of drill-ability anisotropy and acoustic anisotropy of rock are given in this paper. The acoustic velocities and the drill-ability parameters of several rock samples from the Engineering Center for Chinese Continental Scientific Drilling (CCSD) are respectively measured with the device for testing the rock drill-ability and the ultrasonic testing system in laboratory, so that their drill-ability anisotropy and acoustic anisotropy are respectively calculated and discussed in detail by using the experimental data. On the basis of these experimental results and calculations, correlations between drill-ability anisotropy and acoustic anisotropy of the rock samples are illustrated through regression analyses. Thus, a mathematical model developed may be used to evaluate the rock drill-ability anisotropy with the acoustic logging or seismic data to a certain extent. | Gao Deli Pan Qifeng | 2006 | Petroleum Science2006,3,1: | 2
Failure mechanism of full-size concrete filled steel circle and square tubes under uniaxial compression显示文摘In this paper, the failure mechanisms of full-size concrete filled steel tubes(CFST) under uniaxial compression were investigated with nonlinear finite element method. Existing experimental results were employed to verify the validity of the finite element models of CFST specimens. Then, the numerical analysis was further conducted to study the mechanical behaviors of full-size CFST columns with circular and square cross sections under uniaxial compression. The simulation results indicate that the distribution of the contact pressure between circular steel tube and core concrete is much more uniform than that between square steel tube and concrete, resulting in much higher confinement and more efficient interaction between steel tube and core concrete in circular CFST columns, as well as ultimate load capacity and ultimate displacement. Extensive parametric analysis was also conducted to examine the effect of various parameters on the uniaxial compression behaviors of circular and square CFST columns. | CAI JingMing PAN JinLong SHAN QiFeng | 2015 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2015,58,10: | 2

Engineering a Floxuridine-integrated RNA Prism as Precise Nanomedicine for Drug Delivery显示文摘Herein,we report a geometrically well-defined prism assembled by two floxuridine(F)integrated RNA strands as a precise nanomedicine for chemodrug delivery.Owing to the similarity between chemotherapeutic F and uridine(U),all uridines in the component RNA strands are replaced by F during their in vitro transcription syntheses.By specifically designing their sequences,F-containing S-shape tiles with the single-stranded loops are constructed and then further assemble into the RNA prism through T-junction interactions and sticky-end cohesions. The present study demonstrates that the F-integrated RNA prism can serve as an efficient platform for chemodrug delivery and anticancer treatment. We believe that the study would help the future development of RNA-based nanomedicine in various applications. | PAN Gaifang MA Yuan ZHANG Jiao GUO Yuanyuan DING Fei GE Huan LI Qifeng ZHU Xinyuan ZHANG Chian | 2020 | Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2020,36,2: | 1
Sulfate diffusion in coal pillar:experimental data and prediction model显示文摘The stability of coal pillar dams is crucial for the long-term service of underground reservoirs storing water or heat.Chemi-cal damage of coal dams induced by ions-atttacking in coal is one of the main reasons for the premature failure of coal dams. However, the diffusion process of harmful ions in coal is far from clear, limiting the reliability and durability of coal dam designs. This paper investigates sulfate diffusion in coal pillar through experimental and analytical methods.Coal specimens are prepared and exposed to sulfate solutions with different concentrations. The sulfate concentrations at different locations and time are measured.Based on experimental data and Fick's law,the time-dependent surface concentration of sulfate and diffusion coefficient are determined and formulated.Further,an analytical model for predicting sulfate diffusion in coal pillar is developed by considering dual time-dependent characteristics and Laplace transformations.Through comparisons with experimental data, the accuracy of the analytical model for predicting sulfate diffusion is verified.Further, sulfate diffusions in coal dams for different concentrations of sulfate in mine water are investigated. It has been found that the sulfate concen-tration of exposure surface and diffusion coefficient in coal are both time-dependent and increase with time.Conventional Fick's law is not able to predict the sulfate diffusion in coal pillar due to the dual time-dependent characteristics. The sulfate attacking makes the coal dam a typical heterogeneous gradient structure. For sulfate concentrations 0.01-0.20 mol/L in mine water,it takes almost 1.5 and 4 years for sulfate ions to diffuse 9.46 and 18.92 m,respectively. The experimental data and developed model provide a practical method for predicting sulfate diffusion in coal pillar, which helps the service life design of coal dams. | Min Wang Xun Xi Qifeng Guo Jiliang Pan Meifeng Cai Shangtong Yang | 2023 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2023,10,2: | 0
