Pressure Sensor Based on the Fiber-Optic Extrinsic Fabry-Perot Interferometer显示文摘Pressure sensors based on fiber-optic extrinsic Fabry-Perot interferometer(EFPI)have been extensively applied in various industrial and biomedical fields. In this paper, some key improvements of EFPI-based pressure sensors such as the controlled thermal bonding technique,diaphragm-based EFPI sensors, and white light interference technology have been reviewed.Recent progress on signal demodulation method and applications of EFPI-based pressure sensors has been introduced.Signal demodulation algorithms based on the cross correlation and mean square error(MSE)estimation have been proposed for retrieving the cavity length of EFPI.Absolute measurement with a resolution of 0.08 nm over large dynamic range has been carried out.For downhole monitoring,an EFPI and a fiber Bragg grating(FBG)cascade multiplexing fiber-optic sensor system has been developed, which can operate in temperature 300℃with a good long-term stability and extremely low temperature cross-sensitivity.Diaphragm-based EFPI pressure sensors have been successfully used for low pressure and acoustic wave detection.Experimental results show that a sensitivity of 31 mV/Pa in the frequency range of 100 Hz to 12.7 kHz for aeroacoustic wave detection has been obtained. | Qingxu YU Xinlei ZHOU | 2011 | Photonic Sensors2011,1,1: | 17
Effects of different plantation types on soil properties after vegetation restoration in an alpine sandy land on the Tibetan Plateau, China显示文摘Large areas of Artemisia ordosica Krasch., Caragana korshinskii Kom., and Caragana intermedia Kuang and H. C. Fu plantations were established on moving sand dunes in the Gonghe Basin(northeastern Tibetan Plateau) for vegetation restoration. Elevating our understanding of the changes in soil characteristics after the establishment of different plantation types can be useful in the context of combating desertification. To assess the effects of these plantation types on the restoration of sandy land, we measured soil physical-chemical properties at four depths(0–5, 5–10, 10–20, and 20–50 cm) in each of the three plantation types and also in non-vegetated moving sand dunes(as control sites). Generally, the establishment of A. ordosica, C. korshinskii and C. intermedia plantations on sand dunes has greatly ameliorated soil quality in the Gonghe Basin. Specifically, relative to the moving sand dunes, shrub plantation has increased the silt and clay contents, total porosity and water holding capacity, soil organic matter, total nitrogen, total phosphorus and total potassium contents. The calculated soil quality index suggested that in the Gonghe Basin, C. intermedia is the best choice for soil amelioration. In all the three plantation types, soil amelioration mainly occurred in the shallow depths. | LI Qingxue JIA Zhiqing LIU Tao FENG Lili HE Lingxianzi | 2017 | Journal of Arid Land2017,9,2: | 16
Tamoxifen can reverse multidrug resistance of colorectal carcinoma in vivo显示文摘AIM: To investigate the effect of tamoxifen (TAM) on multidrug resistance (MDR) of colorectal carcinoma in vivo and its relationship with estrogen receptor (ER).METHODS: Multidrug resistance was determined by means of semi-quantitative retro-transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) to test mdr1 gene mRNA and ER expression was studied by immunohistochemistry. Tumor tissues from three cases of human colon carcinoma, which had mdr1( + )/ER(+ ), mdr1( + )/ER(-), mdr1(-) expressions, were planted subcutaneously in the neck of nude mice to establish three xenograft models. These models were subdivided into four subgroups randomly: Doxorubicin(DOX)-treated group, TAN-treated group, DOX and TAM group and control group. The dimensions of these xenografts were measured after each course of treatment and the xenografts were removed at the end of the experiments for measurements of weight and the variation of mdr1 mRNA level with RT-PCR. In each course, TAM[15 mg/(kg/d)] was administrated orally per day in the first seven days and DOX (3.6 mg/kg) was injected peritoneally on the first day. Data was evaluated by q and ttests.RESULTS: In the animal models with mdr1(-) tumor, the weights and volumes of the planted tumor in DOX group[(39.1±2.29) mg, (31.44±1.61) mm3] and TAM and DOX group [(38.72±2.56) mg, (31.31±1.74) mm3], which were lesser than that of control group [(45.48±3.92) mg,(36.42±2.77) mm3, P = 0.037, P = 0.016 respectively]significantly. In the animal models with mdr1(+)/ER(+)tumor, the weights and volumes of planted tumor were not affected by DOX or TAM treatment; however, in TAM and DOX group [(425.5±28.58) mg, (340.35±22.28) mm3],they were significantly less than that of control group[(634.23±119.41) mg, (507.45±93.34) mm3, P = 0.022,P = 0.045 respectively], which are similar to that in the models with mdr1(+)/ER(-) tumor. No significant changes were found in the expressive level of mdr1 mRNA following these treatments.CONCLUSION: The expression of mdr1 gene corresponds to the sensitivity of colon cancer to anti-tumor drugs in vivo.TAM can reverse the MDR of colorectal carcinoma in nude mice, which is independent of the expression of ER;however, no change was observed in the expressive level of mdr1 mRNA. | Li-ZongShen Yi-BingHua Xue-MingYu QingXu TaoChen Jian-HuaWang Wen-XiWu | 2005 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2005,11,7: | 13
Modeling the impacts of drying trend scenarios on land systems in northern China using an integrated SD and CA model显示文摘Climate-induced drought has exerted obvious impacts on land systems in northern China.Although recent reports by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change(IPCC) have suggested a high possibility of climate-induced drought in northern China, the potential impacts of such drying trends on land systems are still unclear.Land use models are powerful tools for assessing the impacts of future climate change. In this study,we first developed a land use scenario dynamic model(iLUSD) by integrating system dynamics and cellular automata. Then,we designed three drying trend scenarios(reversed drying trend, gradual drying trend, and acceleration of drying trend) for the next 25 years based on the IPCC emission scenarios and considering regional climatic predictions in northern China. Finally, the impacts of drying trend scenarios on the land system were simulated and compared. An accuracy assessment with historic data covering 2000 to 2005 indicated that the developed model is competent and reliable for understanding complex changes in the land use system. The results showed that water resources varied from 441.64 to 330.71 billion m3 among different drying trend scenarios, suggesting that future drying trends will have a significant influence on water resource and socioeconomic development.Under the pressures of climate change, water scarcity, and socioeconomic development, the ecotone(i.e.,transition zone between cropping area and nomadic area) in northern China will become increasingly vulnerable and hotspots for land-use change.Urban land and grassland would have the most prominent response to the drying trends.Urban land will expand around major metropolitan areas and the conflict between urban and cultivated land will become more severe. The results also show that previous ecological control measures adopted by the government in these areas will play an important role in rehabilitating the environment. In order to achieve a sustainable development in northern China, issues need to be addressed such as how to arrange land use structure and patterns rationally, and how to adapt to the pressures of climate change and socioeconomic development together. | HUANG QingXu HE ChunYang LIU ZhiFeng SHI PeiJun | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,4: | 10
Kinetics of the Esterification Reaction Catalyzed by Lipase in W/O Microemulsions of Alkyl Polyglucoside显示文摘A novel kinetic mechanism of esterification reaction of 1-hexanoic acid with 1-butanol,catalyzed by lipase, was studied in water-in-oil microemulsions. The microemulsions were formed by alkyl polyglucoside C10G1.54/1-butanol/cyclohexane/phosphate buffer solution. The restult shows that when the ratio of mol concentration of 1-butanol to 1-hexanoic acid is about 3.0,the initial rate V0 get the maximum values. | 8 | Inhibitory effects of docetaxel on expression of VEGF, bFGF and MMPs of LS174T cell显示文摘AIM: To study the effects of non-cytotoxJc concentrations of docetaxel on some important angiogenic factors of LS174T Cells.METHODS: The non-cytotoxic concentration of docetaxel and the activity of gelatinase were determined with MTT and gelatin zymography respectively, the expression of VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor), bFGF (basic fibroblast growth factor), MMP (matrix metalloproteinase) 2 and MMP 9 was investigated with RT-PCR and Western blot.RESULTS: The maximum non-cytotoxic concentration of docetaxel on LS174T Cells was 1.0 ng/ml. Compared with the solvent control group, 0.1, 0.5, 1.0 ng/ml of docetaxel could downregulate the expression of VEGF, bFGF, MMP 2and MMP 9 and suppress the activity of gelatinase.CONCLUSION: Our study suggests that the non-cytotoxic concentrations of docetaxel have strong antiangiogenic activity on LS174T Cells, which suggests docetaxel may be a promising antiangiogenic agent. | Xue-LiangGuo Geng-JinLin HongZhao YangGao U-PingQian San-RongXu Li-NaFu Qingxu Jie-JunWang | 2003 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2003,9,9: | 6
BOUNDARY FEEDBACK STABILIZATION OF NONUNIFORM TIMOSHENKO BEAM WITH A TIPLOAD显示文摘The boundary stabilization problem of a Timoshenko beam attached with a mass at one end is studied. First, with linear boundary force feedback and moment control simultaneously at the end attached with the load, the energy corresponding to the closed loop system is proven to be exponentially convergent to zero as time t →∞. Then, some counterexamples are given to show that, in other casest the corresponding closed loop system is, in general, not stable asymtotically, let alone exponentially. | YAN QINGXU, FENG DEXING Institute of Systems Science, Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100080, China. | 10 | Seismic fragility of flexible pipeline connections in a base isolated medical building显示文摘Flexible pipelines are often used to connect hard pipes from a foundation to a superstructure to accommodate large deformation in the base isolation layer during an earthquake. Although Chinese seismic design guidelines suggest several confi gurations, they are diff erent from the designs that have been proven in practice, e.g., Japanese styles, and extensive experimental investigation into their seismic performance is required. Three types of seals, rubber-, metal- and asbestinebased, were tested quasi-statically with infi lled pressurized water at 2.5 MPa. The asbestine-based seal leaked at a smaller deformation than the other two types of seals. Based on the test results, three damage states were defi ned and the deformation capacity was estimated. To evaluate their performance, a three-dimensional model of a base-isolated medical building was developed using OpenSees, with the fl exible pipelines simulated by a mechanical model calibrated from the experimental data. A probabilistic seismic demand model and the fragility function of the fl exible pipelines were then developed to evaluate the seismic performance. | Shang Qingxue Wang Tao Li Jichao | 2019 | Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2019,18,4: | 4
Improving the performance of solid oxide electrolysis cell with gold nanoparticles-modified LSM-YSZ anode显示文摘Gold, as the common current collector in solid oxide electrolysis cell(SOEC), is traditionally considered to be inert for oxygen evolution reaction at the anode of SOEC. Herein, gold nanoparticles were loaded onto conventional strontium doped lanthanum manganite-yttria stabilized zirconia(LSM-YSZ) anode, which evidently improved the performance of oxygen evolution reaction at 800 °C. The current densities at 1.2 V and 1.4 V increased by 60.0% and 46.9%, respectively, after loading gold nanoparticles onto the LSM-YSZ anode. Physicochemical characterizations and electrochemical measurements suggested that the improved SOEC performance was attributed to the accelerated electron transfer of elementary process in anodic polarization reaction and the newly generated triple phase boundaries in gold nanoparticles-loaded LSMYSZ anode. | Yuefeng Song Xiaomin Zhang Yingjie Zhou Houfu Lv Qingxue Liu Weicheng Feng Guoxiong Wang Xinhe Bao | 2019 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,8: | 4
Prediction and Analysis of the Force and Shape Parameters in Variable Gauge Rolling显示文摘Variable gauge rolling is a new process to obtain a plate for which the thickness changes continuously by continuously and dynamically adjusting the roll gap upward and downward in the rolling process. This technology is an efective method for producing lightweight,low-cost,and economical plates. However, variable gauge rolling is an unsteady process, and the changes in the force and deformation parameters are complex. In this research, based on the minimum energy theory of the variational principle and considering the characteristics of the roll movement and workpiece deformation comprehensively, the internal plastic deformation, friction, shear and tension powers, and the minimum result of the total power functional in upward and downward rolling are obtained with the frst integral and then with a variation of adopting the specifc plastic power and strain rate vector inner product. The analytical results of the deformation and force parameters are also established using the variational method. Then the precision of this model is certifed using the measured values in a medium plate hot rolling plant and the experimental data for Tailor Rolled Blank rolling.Good agreement is found.Additionally, the variation rule of bite angle, neutral angle, and location neutral points are shown, and the change mechanism of the friction parameter on the stress state efect coefcient is given in variable gauge rolling. This research proposes a new mathematical model for rolling process control that provides a scientifc basis and technical support for obtaining an accurate section shape in variable gauge rolling production. | Yuanming Liu Zhenhua Wang Tao Wang Jie Sun Xianguang Zheng Dianhua Zhang Qingxue Huang | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2022,35,4: | 4
Cost Minimization of Wireless Sensor Networks with Unlimited-lifetime Energy for Monitoring Oil Pipelines显示文摘Cyber-physical-system(CPS) has been widely used in both civil and military applications.Wireless sensor network(WSN) as the part and parcel of CPS faces energy problem because sensors are battery powered, which results in limited lifetime of the network. To address this energy problem,we take advantage of energy harvesting device(EHD) and study how to indefinitely prolong oil pipeline monitoring network lifetime by reasonable selecting EHD.Firstly,we propose a general strategy worst case-energy balance strategy(WC-EBS),which defines worst case energy consumption(WCEC) as the maximum energy sensor node could expend for oil pipeline monitoring WSN.When the energy collected by EHD is equal or greater than WCEC,network can have an unlimited lifetime. However, energy harvesting rate is proportional to the price of EHD,WC-EBS will cause high network cost.To reduce network cost,we present two optimization strategies, optimization workloadenergy balance strategy(OW-EBS) and optimization first nodeenergy balance strategy(OF-EBS).The main idea of OW-EBS is to cut down WCEC by reducing critical node transmission workload;OF-EBS confirms critical node by optimizing each sensor node transmission range, then we get the optimal energy harvesting rate in OF-EBS.The experimental results demonstrate that OF-EBS can indefinitely extend network lifetime with lower cost than WC-EBS and OW-EBS,and energy harvesting rate P in each strategy satisfies Pof-EBS≤P(OW-EBS)≤PWC-EBS. | Changqing Xia Wei Liu Qingxu Deng | 2015 | IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2015,2,3: | 3
Infiltration of Ce0.8Gd0.2O1.9 nanoparticles on Sr2Fe1.5Mo0.5O6-δ cathode for CO2 electroreduction in solid oxide electrolysis cell显示文摘Solid oxide electrolysis cell(SOEC) can electrochemically convert CO2 to CO at the gas-solid interface with a high current density and Faradaic efficiency, which has attracted increasing attentions in recent years.Exploring efficient catalyst for electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction(CO2 RR) at the cathode is a grand challenge for the research and development of SOEC. Sr2Fe1.5Mo0.5O6-δ(SFM) is one kind of promising cathode materials for SOEC, but suffers from insufficient activity for CO2 RR. Herein, Gd0.2Ce0.8O1.9(GDC)nanoparticles were infiltrated onto the SFM surface to construct a composite GDC-SFM cathode and improve the CO2 RR performance in SOEC. The current density over the GDC infiltrated SFM cathode with a GDC loading of 12.8 wt% reaches 0.446 A cm-2 at 1.6 V and 800 °C, which is much higher than that over the SFM cathode(0.283 A cm-2). Temperature-programmed desorption of CO2 measurements suggest that the infiltration of GDC nanoparticles significantly increases the density of surface active sites and three phase boundaries(TPBs), which are beneficial for CO2 adsorption and subsequent conversion. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy results indicate that the polarization resistance of 12.8 wt% GDCSFM cathode was obviously decreased from 0.46 to 0.30 cm^2 after the infiltration of GDC nanoparticles. | Houfu Lv Yingjie Zhou Xiaomin Zhang Yuefeng Song Qingxue Liu Guoxiong Wang Xinhe Bao | 2019 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,8: | 3
Rapid Urban Land Expansion in Earthquake-Prone Areas of China显示文摘A timely understanding of urban expansion in earthquake-prone areas is crucial for earthquake risk assessment and urban planning for earthquake mitigation. However, a comprehensive evaluation of urban expansion in earthquake-prone areas is lacking in China, especially in the context of rapid urbanization. Based on time series urban land data and seismic ground-motion parameter zonation maps, this study analyzed urban expansion in the most seismically hazardous areas(MSHAs) of China from1992 to 2015 on the national, regional, and city scales. The results show that urban land area in the MSHAs expanded by 6767 km^2 from 1992 to 2015, with a gain of 350%.Specifically, the increase in urban land area of small cities in the MSHAs of western China during this period was the fastest, 6.24 times greater than that at the national level. In terms of spatial patterns, the urban land patches in the MSHAs in 2015 were more fragmented than those in 1992 on all scales. The percentage of change in the number of patches and the landscape shape index of the urban land patches of small cities in the MSHAs of western China were the highest across all cities. Therefore, we believe that special attention should be paid to the cities in the MSHAs that exhibit the most rapid increases in both urban land area and fragmentation, especially the small cities in western China. It is imperative to integrate earthquake mitigation into the urban planning of these cities. | Qingxu Huang Shiting Meng Chunyang He Yinyin Dou Qiang Zhang | 2019 | International Journal of Disaster Risk Science2019,10,1: | 3

Stepwise Fabrication of Co-Embedded Porous Multichannel Carbon Nanofibers for High-Efficiency Oxygen Reduction显示文摘A novel nonprecious metal material consisting of Coembedded porous interconnected multichannel carbon nanofibers(Co/IMCCNFs) was rationally designed for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)electrocatalysis. In the synthesis,ZnCo2O4 was employed to form interconnected mesoporous channels and provide highly active Co3O4/Co core–shell nanoparticle-based sites for the ORR.The IMC structure with a large synergistic effect of the N and Co active sites provided fast ORR electrocatalysis kinetics. The Co/IMCCNFs exhibited a high half-wave potential of 0.82 V(vs.reversible hydrogen electrode) and excellent stability with a current retention up to 88% after 12,000 cycles in a current–time test, which is only 55% for 30 wt% Pt/C. | Zeming Tang Yingxuan Zhao Qingxue Lai Jia Zhong Yanyu Liang | 2019 | Nano-Micro Letters2019,11,2: | 3
Seismic force demands on acceleration-sensitive nonstructural components:a state-of-the-art review显示文摘Nonstructural components(NSCs)are parts, elements, and subsystems that are not part of the primary loadbearing system of building structures but are subject to seismic loading.Damage to NSCs may disrupt the functionality of buildings and result in significant economic losses, injuries, and casualties. In past decades, extensive studies have been conducted on the seismic performance and seismic design methods of NSCs.As the input for the seismic design of NSCs,floor response spectra(FRS)have attracted the attention of researchers worldwide. This paper presents a state-of-the-art review of FRS.Different methods for generating FRS are summarized and compared with those in current seismic design codes.A detailed review of the parameters influencing the FRS is presented. These parameters include the characteristics of ground motion excitation, supporting building and NSCs.The floor acceleration response and the FRS obtained from experimental studies and field observations during earthquakes are also discussed.Three RC frames are used in a case study to compare the peak floor acceleration(PFA)and FRS calculated from time history analyses(THA)with that generated using current seismic design codes and different methods in the literature.Major knowledge gaps are identified, including uncertainties associated with developing FRS,FRS generation methods for different types of buildings, the need for comprehensive studies on absolute acceleration, relative velocity, and relative displacement FRS,and the calibration of FRS by field observations during earthquakes. | Wang Tao Shang Qingxue Li Jichao | 2021 | Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2021,20,1: | 3
Organic mulching promotes soil organic carbon accumulation to deep soil layer in an urban plantation forest显示文摘Background:Soil organic carbon(SOC)is important for soil quality and fertility in forest ecosystems.Labile SOC fractions are sensitive to environmental changes, which reflect the impact of short-term internal and external management measures on the soil carbon pool.Organic mulching(OM)alters the soil environment and promotes plant growth. However, little is known about the responses of SOC fractions in rhizosphere or bulk soil to OM in urban forests and its correlation with carbon composition in plants. Methods:A one-year field experiment with four treatments(OM at 0,5,10,and 20 cm thicknesses)was conducted in a 15-year-old Ligustrum lucidum plantation.Changes in the SOC fractions in the rhizosphere and bulk soil;the carbon content in the plant fine roots, leaves, and organic mulch;and several soil physicochemical properties were measured. The relationships between SOC fractions and the measured variables were analysed. Results:The OM treatments had no significant effect on the SOC fractions, except for the dissolved organic carbon(DOC).OM promoted the movement of SOC to deeper soil because of the increased carbon content in fine roots of subsoil. There were significant correlations between DOC and microbial biomass carbon and SOC and easily oxidised organic carbon. The OM had a greater effect on organic carbon fractions in the bulk soil than in the rhizosphere. The thinnest(5 cm)mulching layers showed the most rapid carbon decomposition over time. The time after OM had the greatest effect on the SOC fractions, followed by soil layer. Conclusions:The frequent addition of small amounts of organic mulch increased SOC accumulation in the present study.OM is a potential management model to enhance soil organic matter storage for maintaining urban forest productivity. | Xiaodan Sun Gang Wang Qingxu Ma Jiahui Liao Dong Wang Qingwei Guan Davey L.Jones | 2021 | Forest Ecosystems2021,8,1: | 2
Recent advances for the production of hydrocarbon biofuel via deoxygenation progress显示文摘The current world energy crisis and increasing environmental concerns over global climate change from combusting fossil fuel are driving researchers into a new route to produce fuels via sustainable resource to meet the demands of human. In recent years, deoxygenation as an alternative method has been applied in the production of hydrocarbon fuels, particularly via the deoxygenation of fatty acids and triglycerides from seed oils and fats, producing hydrocarbon fuels entirely fungible with fossil fuels. The deoxygenation of biobased feedstock to fuel-like hydrocarbons is critically reviewed in this article. The review mainly discusses the use of feedstock, innovation of catalysts, and the reaction mechanism involved in the production of hydrocarbon fuels via deoxygenation progress. | Dan Li Hui Xin Xiangzhe Du Xiaolei Hao Qingxue Liu Changwei Hu | 2015 | Science Bulletin2015,60,24: | 2
