1Experimental studies on gas and water permeability of fault rocks from the rupture of the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, China显示文摘The permeabilities of fault rocks from the rupture of Wenchuan earthquake were measured by using nitrogen gas and distilled water as pore fluids under the confining pressure ranging from 20 to 180 MPa at room temperature. Experimental results indicate that both gas and water permeabilities decrease with increasing confining pressure, described by power law relationship, i.e., b = 0.2×10–3kl–0.557. The water permeability is about one order less than gas permeability and also half order smaller than the permeability corrected by the Klinkenberg effect, so-called intrinsic permeability. The differences in the permeabilies imply that the reduction of effective pore size caused by the adhesion of water molecules to clay particle surface and water-swelling of expandable clay minerals contributes to lessening the water permeability besides the Klinkenberg effect. Hence, the liquid permeability of fault rocks cannot be deduced by gas permeability by the Klinkenberg correction reliably and accurately, and it is necessary to use liquid as pore media to measure their transport property directly.DUAN QingBao YANG XiaoSong 2014Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,11:5
2A potential stratotype for the regional lowermost stage of the continental Paleocene in China显示文摘Phanerozoic chronostratigraphic units can only be defined through their lower boundary stratotypes.The lowermost stage of the Paleocene of China,which mainly consists of terrestrial deposits,can only be defined through its lower boundary stratotype,i.e.the continental Cretaceous/Paleogene boundary stratotype.There is no section yet found which contains continuous terrestrial deposits and biostratigraphic records of the Cretaceous-Paleogene transition in Nanxiong,Guangdong and Jiayin,Heilongjiang,there is no evidence for establishing the continental stratotype of the Cretaceous/Paleogene boundary in either area.Therefore,both the'Shanghuan stage'and'Furaoan stage'are not good candidates for the lowermost stage of the Paleocene of China.From the viewpoint of charophytes,the outcrop section of the Dangyang,Hubei Province(Central China)contains the most continuous,abundant and diverse terrestrial biostratigraphic records of the Cretaceous-Paleogene transition,in particular the early Paleocene,known so far in the world.The biostratigraphic records of ostracods in the transition are also continuous,rich,and diverse.The Dangyang outcrop section is the only section known so far in China that is a possible candidate for a continental stratotype of the Cretaceous/Paleogene boundary in China and the section is the only potential section identified to date for establishing the regional lowermost stage of the Paleocene,Paleogene and Cenozoic in China or stratotype section for the stage.LI WeiTong LIU GengWu Dennis R.BRAMAN LI YiBin CAO WeiSheng Don BRINKMAN SHEN Jiao CHEN QingBao 2014Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,5:3
3Redevelopment of urban brownfield sites in China:Motivation,history,policies and improved management显示文摘Rapid urbanisation in China has resulted in an increased demand for land in towns and cities.To upgrade and modernise,China has also moved many major industries from urban centres to less populated areas.With the high economic value of urban land,the transformation and utilisation of brownfield areas have become important economically and socially.The Chinese government has recognised the need for strong frameworks to safeguard soil and groundwater quality,with brownfield sites a key category for management.Strong scientific,regulatory and decision-making frameworks are needed and being adopted to ensure practical,careful and wise use of central and localised government resources,to manage the reuse and regeneration of these brownfield sites.This paper reviews the context,policies and management procedures of developing brownfield sites in countries with a history of brownfield management and discusses China’s current situation and priorities for brownfield governance and redevelopment.These include(1)clarification of brownfield site soil contamination risk control standards and risk assessment procedures,(2)the responsibilities of different national and local agencies,(3)the establishment of a national expert committee to advise on best practices,policy and process,(4)the use of registered brownfield databases at national,provincial,municipal and county levels,and(5)the set up of soil pollution prevention fund at the provincial level.Yiming Sun Hong Li Shuo Lei Kirk TSemple Frederic Coulon Qing Hu Jingyang Gao Guanlin Guo Qingbao Gu Kevin C.Jones 2022Eco-Environment & Health2022,1,2:2
43D printing preview for stereo-lithography based on photopolymerization kinetic models显示文摘The diversity of biomedical applications makes stereolithographic(SL)three-dimensional(3D)printing process complex.A strategy was developed to simulate the layer-by-layer fabrication of 3D printed products combining polymerization kinetic with reaction conditions to realize print preview.As a representative example,the typical UV-curable dental materials based on epoxy acrylate and photoinitiator with different molar ratios was exposed under varying intensity of UV light to verify the simulation results.A theoretical kinetics model containing oxygen inhibition was established.In-situ FTIR was employed to measure propagation and termination constants while coupled UV/vis was performed to examine the law of light attenuation during cure reaction,even with various colours and additives.Simulation results showed that the correlation coefficient square between the experiments and simulations of epoxy acrylate with 1%,2%and 3%initiator upon 20 mW/cm2 UV light are 0.8959,0.9324 and 0.9337,respectively.Consequently,our simulation of photopolymerization for SL 3D printing successfully realized visualization of printing quality before practically printing the targeted biomedical objects with complex topology structures.Yi Gao Lei Xu Yang Zhao Zhengwei You Qingbao Guan 2020Bioactive Materials2020,5,4:2
5SNR periodical variation of Chang'E-3 spacecraft orbiting the Moon显示文摘Chang'E-3 spacecraft was orbiting the Moon from December 6–14, 2013, and very long baseline interferometry(VLBI) observations were performed to improve the accuracy of its orbit determination. In the process of recording VLBI raw data, 2 bits quantization was implemented.Interesting phenomenon was that signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) of each VLBI station experienced periodical change and had large variation on amplitude while in the Moon's orbit, whereas SNR kept in a stable level after Chang'E-3 landed on the Moon. Influence of varying elevation angle on SNR was analyzed and compensation of 2 bits quantization harmonics to SNR calculation was investigated. 8Highly Transparent,Stretchable,and Self‑Healable Ionogel for Multifunctional Sensors,Triboelectric Nanogenerator,and Wearable Fibrous Electronics显示文摘Ionogels with high transparency,stretchability and self-healing capability show great potential for wearable electronics.Here,a kind of highly transparent,stretchable and self-healable ionogels are designed using double physical cross-linking including hydrogen bonding and dipole–dipole interaction.Owing to the dynamic and reversible nature of the ion–dipole interaction and hydrogen bonds of polymeric chains,the ionogel possesses good self-healing capability.The multifunctional sensors for strain and temperature are fabricated based on ionogel.The ionogel can serve as strain sensor that exhibited high sensitivity[gauge factor(GF)=3.06]and durability(1000 cycles)to a wide range of strains(0–300%).Meanwhile,the ionogel shows rapid response to temperature,due to the temperature dependence of its ionic conductivity.Furthermore,the ionogel fbers with excellent antifreezing(−20°C)capability are fabricated,and the fbers show the good sensing performance to human motions and temperature.Importantly,the antifreezing ionogel-based triboelectric nanogenerator(ITENG)is assembled for efcient energy harvesting.The ITENG shows a short circuit current(ISC)of 6.1μA,open circuit voltage(VOC)of 115 V,and instantaneous peak power density of 334 mW m−2.This work provides a new strategy to design ionogels for the advancement of wearable electronics.Lijie Sun Hongfei Huang Qiyu Ding Yifan Guo Wei Sun Zhuangchun Wu Minglin Qin Qingbao Guan Zhengwei You 2022Advanced Fiber Materials2022,4,1:1
