1Grain size effect on wear resistance of WC-Co cemented carbides under different tribological conditions显示文摘The grain-size dependence of wear resistance of WC-Co cemented carbides(with mean WC grain sizes of 2.2μm,1.6μm,0.8μm and 0.4μm,respectively)was investigated under different tribological conditions.The results showed that the grain size had opposite effects on wear resistance of the cemented carbides in dry sliding wear and microabrasion tests.In the former condition,with decrease of WC grain size hence the increase of hardness,plastic deformation,fracture,fragmentation and oxidation were all mitigated,leading to a drastic decrease in the wear rate.In the latter condition,pull-out of WC grains after Co removal dominated the wear,so that the hardness of cemented carbide was not a core factor.As a result,the wear resistance of the cemented carbide generally showed a decreasing trend with decrease of the grain size,except for a slight increase in the ultrafine-grained cemented carbide.Single-pass scratching of the cemented carbides under various loads indicated the same failure mechanism as that in the sliding wear tests.Furthermore,the reasons for severe surface oxidation of the coarse-grained cemented carbides were disclosed.Haibin Wang Mark Gee Qingfan Qiu Hannah Zhang Xuemei Liu Hongbo Nie Xiaoyan Song Zuoren Nie 2019Journal of Materials Science & Technology2019,35,11:6
2Investigation of the oil-seawater mixed flow under an electromagnetic field显示文摘The electromagnetic separation method is a new approach to treat ship-based marine oily wastewater,in which oil droplets are dispersed in seawater(oil-seawater mixed flow).In order to clarify the separation process and determine the separation characteristics,the flow field and volume fraction of the oil droplets of the oil-seawater mixed flow under an applied electromagnetic field with different operating conditions were investigated by 2D numerical simulations with the Eulerian model.The results show that:(1)the downward Lorentz force causes seawater to flow downwards and the oil droplets to move upwards due to the electromagnetic separation force in the effective section of the separation channel;(2)the volume fraction of the oil droplets at the top of the outlet section increases with the current density,magnetic field,and the diameter of the oil droplet and decreases with the inlet velocity of the oily seawater.The results provide useful guidance for the design of electromagnetic separation devices of the oil-seawater mixed flow.Aiwu Peng Lingzhi Zhao Xiaoqiang Chen Qingfan Zhang Ciwen Sha Jianping Zhao Ran Li Zhaolian Wang 2019Acta Oceanologica Sinica2019,38,7:2

8Progress and Challenges of Shale Gas Exploration and Development in China显示文摘China is abandant in shale gas resources. Encouraged by the successful development of shale gas resources in the U. S., China began its shale gas research and exploration activity about 10 years ago. This paper briefed the history, state quo and future of shale gas development in the country. 14Challenges and Strategies of Shale Oil Exploration and Development in China显示文摘Encouraged by the great success of shale oil development in the US, China began its shale oil exploration and development activities in 2010. During the past decade, progresses had been made in many shale-oil-bearing basins, including Ordos, Junggar and Bohai Bay. This article reviewed in detail the current situations of shale oil exploration and development in these basins. Issues such as shale oil play geological conditions that quite different from that of the U.S., lack of specific technologies, impact of a low oil price, absence of sufficient fiscal support from the central government and room for further institutional improvement, were sorted out to be the major challenges in the path of shale oil exploration and development in the basins. To deal with the problems, the authors proposed a nationallevel research for cost-reduction and efficiency-increasing strategy and painted a preliminary roadmap of technology research for shale oil extraction. 16Underground Hydrogen Storage Technology:a Method for Large-scale Hydrogen Storage显示文摘This paper discusses UHS characteristics,introduces the geological structures and industrial practices of UHS,and reviews UHS research current situation and main scientific problems.The main advantages of underground hydrogen storage are:1)large-scale storage,2)long-term storage,3)low-cost storage,and 4)higher safety.Salt caverns,depleted gas reservoirs and aquifers are three main types of geological structures suitable for UHS.There have been some operation cases of pure hydrogen storage in salt caverns,and only a few of mixed hydrogen storage has been stored in depleted gas reservoirs and aquifers.Underground hydrogen storage will be technically and economically feasible.Industrial-scale application of underground hydrogen storage technology involves geological,technical,economic,legal and social factors.The cost reduction of hydrogen production by electrolysis will be a decisive factor for implementation of the underground hydrogen storage on an industrial scale.Underground hydrogen storage began in the 1970s,but only in the 2010s did the EU and the US take it seriously,and many research and demonstration projects have been launched.In general,UHS technology is still in its infancy and not yet mature.Zhou Qingfan 2022China Oil & Gas2022,29,6:0

18The distribution patterns and temporal dynamics of carabid beetles(Coleoptera:Carabidae)in the forests of Jiaohe,Jilin Province,China显示文摘Carabid beetles,predatory insects,are abundant in forests and sensitive to environmental changes.The distribution patterns and diversity of carabid beetles in several natural forests were studied to provide a basis for evaluating the importance of a forest in the protection of carabid beetle diversity.Carabids were captured by pitfall traps during their seasonal activity from 2012 to 2013 in a poplar-birch forest,ash-walnut forest and broad-leaved Korean pine forest.A total of 5252 individuals,representing 21 species,were collected.Carabid abundance was highest in the broad-leaved Korean pine forest and lowest in the ash-walnut forest.Carabus billbergi Mannerheim and Pterostichus pertinax(Tschitscherine)were the dominant beetle species in each stand.Carabus canaliculatus Adams was dominant in the poplar-birch and ash-walnut forests,and Leistus niger Gebler was dominant in the ash-walnut forest.The carabids were affected differently by stand factors.C.billbergi and P.pertinax was positively correlated with mean DBH.C.canaliculatus and L.niger were not positively correlated with any stand factors.The broad-leaved Korean pine forest with greater age,large DBH and thick leaf litter fostered a high diversity of carabid species.The main yearly activity period for most carabids was during July.Different carabid species responded differently to seasonality,and the activity period of several species was relatively late(August)in the year.Shengdong Liu Shirui Dong Ruitong Liu Qingfan Meng Yan Li Hongrui Zhao Yinghua Jin 2022Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,1:0
