3Seasonal variation of Microcystis in Lake Taihu and its relationships with environmental factors显示文摘In order to monitor the changes of Microcystis along with temporal and spatial variations, seasonal variation of Microcystis in Lake Taihu was investigated by 16S-23S rRNA internal transcribed spacer denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (16S-23S rRNA-ITS DGGE) and microscopic evaluation. Samples were collected quarterly at four sites (River Mouth, Meiliang Bay, Cross Area, and Lake Center) from August 2006 to April 2007. Results showed that Microcystis dominated total phytoplankton abundance at the four sites in all seasons except winter. The average annual abundance of Microcystis was relatively high at River Mouth and Meiliang Bay, reaching 81.22 × 106 and 61.32 × 106 cells/L, respectively. For temporal variations, Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H ) according to DGGE profile revealed the richness of Microcystis in summer (H = 1.375 ± 0.034) and winter (H = 1.650 ± 0.032) was lower than that in spring (H = 2.078 ± 0.031) and autumn (H = 2.365 ± 0.032) (P < 0.05). While for spatial variations, the richness of Microcystis at River Mouth (H = 2.015 ± 0.074) was higher than at other sites during four seasons (P < 0.01). Very few dierences of Microcystis diversity in the same season were observed among the other three sites (P > 0.05). Canonical correspondence analysis (CCA) was performed to elucidate the relationships between Microcystis operational taxonomic units (OTUs) composition and the environmental factors. Results of CCA revealed that temperature was strongly positively correlated with the first axis (r = 0.963), while TSS was negative correlated with the second axis (r = -0.716). 5Understanding Urban Spatial Structure of Shanghai Central City Based on Mobile Phone Data显示文摘Taking Shanghai Central City as its case study, this paper presents an approach to exploring the urban spatial structure through mobile phone positioning data. Firstly, based on base station location data and mobile phone signaling data, the paper analyses the number of users connecting to each base station, and further generates the maps of mobile phone user density through kernel density analysis. We move on to calculate the multi-day average user density based on a time frame of 10:00 and 23:00 at workdays and 15:00 and 23:00 at weekends for Shanghai Central City. Then, through spatial aggregation and density classifi cation on the density maps of 10:00 at workdays and 15:00 at weekends, we identify the ranks and functions of public centers within Shanghai Central City. 6The Formation of the Jiaodong Gold Province显示文摘Gold deposits in Jiaodong,termed Jiaodong-type,are tectonically located in the southeastern margin of the North China Craton.Their major features are reviewed in this paper to highlight the differences between Jiaodong deposits and other genetic types of gold deposits.The mineralization was synchronized with asthenosphere upwelling indicated by synore OIB-like mafic dike and large-scale crustal thinning suggested by decrease of Sr/Y from pre-ore to syn-ore granites.Asthenosphere upwelling induced by the roll-back of Paleo-Pacific Plate drove partial melting of lithospheric mantle and devolatilization,which induced the release of the ore-forming fluids.In concomitant with magmatic records,mineralization migrated from the western Jiaobei terrane(133–127 Ma)to the eastern Sulu orogenic belt(114–108 Ma),corresponding to the eastward roll-back of Paleo-Pacific Plate.Gold mineralization in Jiaodong formed in the transitions of ductile to brittle deformation,rapid to slow crustal uplift,and regional compression to extension.In the regional-scale,the gold deposits in the Jiaobei terrane are mostly situated at intersections between NE-trending faults and EW-trending basement faults,and gold orebodies dominantly controlled by the lithologic contacts between Precambrian metamorphic rocks and Mesozoic granites.The mineralization was dominated by the disseminated-veinlet ores related to quartz–sericite alteration in strong cataclasite-breccia zone,with subsidiary thick quartz-sulfide veins developed in secondary fault zones.The ore-forming fluids belong to a H_(2)O–CO_(2)–NaCl±CH_(4)system and show minor variations in salinity among different types of ore.Structure-fluid feedback involving fluid-rock reaction and hydrofracturing triggered the fluid phase separation and resultant gold deposition.The Jiaodong gold deposits are distinct from orogenic and intrusion-related gold deposits in terms of tectonic setting,origin of ore-forming fluids,and mechanism of gold deposition.DENG Jun WANG Qingfei LIU Xuefei ZHANG Liang YANG Liqiang YANG Lin QIU Kunfeng GUO Linnan LIANG Yayun MA Yao 2022Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2022,96,6:7

8Genome editing in Drosophila melanogaster: from basic genome engineering to the multipurpose CRISPR-Cas9 system显示文摘Nowadays, genome editing tools are indispensable for studying gene function in order to increase our knowledge of biochemical processes and disease mechanisms. The extensive availability of mutagenesis and transgenesis tools make Drosophila melanogaster an excellent model organism for geneticists. Early mutagenesis tools relied on chemical or physical methods,ethyl methane sulfonate(EMS) and X-rays respectively, to randomly alter DNA at a nucleotide or chromosomal level. Since the discovery of transposable elements and the availability of the complete fly genome, specific genome editing tools, such as P-elements, zinc-finger nucleases(ZFNs) and transcription activator-like effector nucleases(TALENs), have undergone rapid development. Currently, one of the leading and most effective contemporary tools is the CRISPR-cas9 system made popular because of its low cost, effectiveness, specificity and simplicity of use. 9^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar Dating of Xuebaoding Granite in the Songpan-Garze Orogenic Belt,Southwest China,and its Geological Significance显示文摘Thus far,our understanding of the emplacement of Xuebaoding granite and the occurrence and evolution of the Songpan-Garze Orogenic Belt has been complicated by differing age spectra results.Therefore,in this study,the ^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar and sensitive high resolution ion micro-probe(SHRIMP) U-Pb dating methods were both used and the results compared,particularly with respect to dating data for Pankou and Pukouling granites from Xuebaoding,to establish ages that are close to the real emplacements.The results of SHRIMP U-Pb dating for zircon showed a high amount of U,but a very low value for Th/U.The high U amount,coupled with characteristics of inclusions in zircons,indicates that Xuebaoding granites are not suitable for U-Pb dating.Therefore,muscovite in the same granite samples was selected for ^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar dating.The ^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar age spectrum obtained on bulk muscovite from Pukouling granite in the Xuebaoding,gave a plateau age of 200.1±1.2 Ma and an inverse isochron age of 200.6±1.2 Ma.The ^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar age spectrum obtained on bulk muscovite from Pankou granite in the Xuebaoding gave another plateau age of 193.4±1.1 Ma and an inverse isochron age of 193.7±1.1 Ma. The ^(40)Ar/^(36)Ar intercept of 277.0±23.4(2σ) was very close to the air ratio,indicating that no apparent excess argon contamination was present.These age dating spectra indicate that both granites were emplaced at 200.6±1.3 Ma and 193.7±1.1 Ma,respectively.Through comparison of both dating methods and their results,we can conclude that it is feasible that the muscovite in the granite bearing high U could be used for ^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar dating without extra Ar.Based on this evidence,as well as the geological characteristics of the Xuebaoding W-Sn-Be deposit and petrology of granites,it can be concluded that the material origin of the Xuebaoding W-Sn-Be deposit might partially originate from the Xuebaoding granite group emplacement at about 200 Ma.Moreover,compared with other granites and deposits distributed in various positions in the Songpan-Garze Orogenic Belt,the Xuebaoding emplacement ages further show that the main rare metal deposits and granites in peripheral regions occurred earlier than those in the inner Songpan-Garze.Therefore,^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar dating of Xuebaoding granite will lay a solid foundation for studying the occurrence and evolution of granite and rare earth element deposits in the Songpan-Garze Orogenic Belt.LIU Yan DENG Jun ZHANG Guibin SHI Guanghai YANG Liqiang WANG Qingfei 2010Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2010,84,2:5
10Crucial control on magmatic-hydrothermal Sn deposit in the Tengchong block,SW China:Evidence from magma differentiation and zircon geochemistry显示文摘Magmatic-hydrothermal Sn deposits are commonly associated with high silica magmas,but why most global high silica granites do not bear economic Sn ore grades remains unclear.Two crucial factors controlling magmatic-hydrothermal Sn mineralization,including advanced fractionation and depressurization-induced rapid cooling,were revealed in the case study of the Guyong granitic pluton linked with the Xiaolonghe Sn deposit,in the Tengchong block,SW China.The Guyong granitic pluton comprises three petrological facies:less evolved biotite syenogranite,evolved alkali granite and leucogranite,and highly evolved facies(the protolith of greisenized granite).Similar crystallization ages(~77 Ma)and gradual contact between different petrological facies indicate the Guyong granitic pluton records a continuous fractionation process.Monte Carlo-revised Rayleigh fractionation model suggests the fractionation degree of the Guyong pluton is markedly high(>87 wt.%)that can only be achieved by a high initial water(≥4 wt.%)content in the parent granitic magma revealed by rhyolite-MELTS calculation.Advanced degree fractionation causes the first Sn enrichment but it also significantly increases the viscosity of evolved magmas,suppressing the exsolution and transport of hydrothermal fluids.Hence,it must be compensated by the second critical factor:depressurization-induced rapid cooling,reflected by the occurrence of highly metamict zircons in the greisenized granite.The highly metamict feature,indicated by the large full width at half maximum(FWHM)values of zirconν3(SiO_(4)) peak(>19.5 cm^(-1)),suggests these zircons do not experience thermal annealing but rapidly ascend into a shallow cooling environment.Depressurization-induced rapid cooling facilitates exsolution and transport of hydrothermal fluids,interacting with wall rocks and resulting in Sn mineralization.Qiwei Zhang Qingfei Wang Gongjian Li Xiang Sun Qihai Shu Jun Deng 2022Geoscience Frontiers2022,13,4:4
11Recognition of two contrasting structural-and mineralogical-gold mineral systems in the Youjiang basin,China-Vietnam:Orogenic gold in the south and Carlin-type in the north显示文摘The gold deposits in the Youjiang basin,totaling>25 Moz gold,have traditionally been thought to be of Carlin-type,particularly those with extensional structural geometries in the northern basin dominated by platform sedimentary sequences.However,the structural geometries,mineralization styles and alteration types for the Jinya,Gaolong and Nakuang gold deposits in the south-central part of the basin are remarkably similar to those of unequivocal orogenic gold deposits.Structural studies show that gold mineralization in the three gold deposits was controlled by tight“locked-up”anticlines with NW−SE-to E−W-trending and/or concomitant thrusts and/or shear zones,which resulted from NE−SW-to N–S-trending compression or transpression following the Early Triassic closure of the Paleo-Tethyan Ocean.Alteration zones in these deposits are dominated by silicification(quartz),sericitization,sulfidation and carbonation.Zoned pyrites in these deposits comprise Au-poor cores and invisible Au-bearing rims with minor external free gold.Euhedral to subhedral auriferous arsenopyrites also contribute to the gold budget.These features indicate that the three gold deposits are sediment-hosted orogenic gold deposits that contrast markedly with the Carlin-type gold deposits in the northern part of the Youjiang basin in terms of structural geometry and timing,mineralization style and nature of associated alteration.Although additional reliable ages using robust methodologies are still required,the older isotopic ages of the gold deposits in the south-central Youjiang basin are also consistent with earlier formation during transpression that predated extension during orogenic collapse,the period of formation of the Carlin-type gold deposits in the northern Youjiang basin.Lin Yang Jun Deng David IGroves Qingfei Wang Liang Zhang Wei Wu Kai Qin Qizuan Zhang 2020Geoscience Frontiers2020,11,5:3

13Type III interferon-induced CBFβinhibits HBV replication by hijacking HBx显示文摘Hepatitis B virus(HBV)and its associated chronic infection remain serious health threats worldwide.However,there is still no impactful approach for clinical treatment of hepatitis B patients.Therefore,developing a better understanding of the interactions between HBV and its host is particularly important.HBV infection has been reported to induce type-III but not type-I or type-II interferon(IFN).In this study,we identified CBFβ,an HIV enhancer,as an HBV restriction factor that is specifically induced by type-III IFN in the early stages of HBV infection.Type-III IFN-induced IL-10 played an important role in the production of CBFβ.Interestingly,the interaction between CBFβ-and HBV-encoded regulatory protein X(HBx)enhanced the stability of CBFβ,but notably blocked HBx-mediated promotion of HBV replication.CBFβexpression was lower in HBV patients than in healthy persons,and the addition of serum from HBV patients inhibited CBFβexpression in HepG2 cells.On the contrary,HBV via HBsAg inhibited type-III IFN-induced CBFβexpression and decreased the anti-HBV activity of type-III IFN,suggesting that HBV inhibits antiviral interferon-stimulated gene(ISG)expression and induces IFN resistance.Collectively,our results demonstrate that type-III IFN-triggered and IL-10-induced CBFβare crucial factors for inhibiting HBV replication,and the HBx–CBFβ–HBsAg axis reveals a new molecular mechanism of interaction between HBV and its hosts.Fengchao Xu Hongxiao Song Qingfei Xiao Na Li Hong Zhang Genhong Cheng Guangyun Tan 2019Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,4:3
143D uniform nitrogen-doped carbon skeleton for ultra-stable sodium metal anode显示文摘Sodium metal batteries are arousing extensive interest owing to their high energy density,low cost and wide resource.However,the practical development of sodium metal batteries is inherently plagued by the severe volume expansion and the dendrite growth of sodium metal anode during long cycles under high current density.Herein,a simple electrospinning method is applied to construct the uniformly nitrogen-doped porous carbon fiber skeleton and used as three-dimensional(3D)current collector for sodium metal anode,which has high specific surface area(1,098 m^2/g)and strong binding to sodium metal.As a result,nitrogen-doped carbon fiber current collector shows a low sodium deposition overpotential and a highly stable cyclability for 3,500 h with a high coulombic effciency of 99.9%at 2 mA/cm^2 and 2 mAh/cm^2.Moreover,the full cells using carbon coated sodium vanadium phosphate as cathode and sodium pre-plated nitrogen-doped carbon fiber skeleton as hybrid anode can stably cycle for 300 times.These results illustrate an effective strategy to construct a 3D uniformly nitrogen-doped carbon skeleton based sodium metal hybrid anode without the formation of dendrites,which provide a prospect for further development and research of high performance sodium metal batteries.Ben Liu Danni Lei Jin Wang Qingfei Zhang Yinggan Zhang Wei He Hongfei Zheng Baisheng Sa Qingshui Xie Dong-Liang Peng Baihua Qu 2020Nano Research2020,13,8:3

16Lithosphere architecture characterized by crust±mantle decoupling controls the formation of orogenic gold deposits显示文摘This study,via combined analysis of geophysical and geochemical data,reveals a lithospheric architecture characterized by crust-mantle decoupling and vertical heat-flow conduits that control orogenic gold mineralization in the Ailaoshan gold belt on the southeastern margin of Tibet.The mantle seismic tomography indicates that the crust-mantle decoupled deformation,defined from previous seismic anisotropy analysis,was formed by upwelling and lateral flow of the asthenosphere,driven by deep sub duction of the Indian continent,Our magnetotelluric and seismic images show both a vertical conductor across the Moho and high Vp/Vs anomalies both in the uppermost mantle and lowest crust,suggesting that crust-mantle decoupling promotes ponding of mantle-derived basic melts at the base of the crust via a heat-flow conduit.Noble gas isotope and halogen ratios of gold-related ore minerals indicate a mantle source of ore fluid.A rapid decrease in Cl/F ratios of lamprophyres under conditions of 1.2 GPa and1050℃suggests that the ore fluid was derived from degassing of the basic melts.Similar lithospheric architecture is recognized in other orogenic gold provinces,implying analogous formational controls.Zengqian Hou Qingfei Wang Haijiang Zhang Bo Xu Nian Yu Rui Wang David IGroves Yuanchuan Zheng Shoucheng Han Lei Gao Lin Yang 2023National Science Review2023,10,3:2

18Metallogenetic model of Jiaodong-type gold deposits,eastern China显示文摘The genesis of giant gold provinces is an international scientific frontier,in which the source of a huge amount of gold and the drive for mineralization are key challenges.The mineralization intensity of the Jiaodong gold province in eastern China is a rare occasion in the world,because it owns gold reserves of~5500 tons within an area of less than 10,000 km^(2).The Jiaodong gold province formed in the superimposed domain of diverse tectonic regimes in an intracontinental setting.Paleoproterozoic regional peak metamorphism and Triassic continental collision are followed by the tectonic transition and gold mineralization at ca.120 Ma with time intervals of 1.9 billion years and about 100 million years,respectively.The Jiaodong gold deposits are different from orogenic and intrusion-related gold deposits in terms of the tectonic background,types of host rocks,and oreforming mechanism.These gold deposits show close spatial-temporal and genetic relationships to mafic igneous rocks,implying the derivation of ore-forming fluids from the metasomatic mantle domains.Mafic dykes in Jiaodong have negativeε_(Hf)(t)values of-29.9 to-9.1,Os content of 0.002-0.16 ppb,heavyδ^(18)O up to 8.23‰,and high initial^(187)Os/^(188)Os ratios of 0.1352-0.8858.These indicate that the lithospheric mantle was metasomatized by ancient crust-derived components.The lithospheric mantle in the western Jiaodong shows generally more enriched isotope features than that in the eastern part,which is explained to be an important reason for its huge gold resources.The mafic dykes show lighter Mg isotope characteristics(averageδ^(26)Mg of-0.33‰,n=50)and high Ca O content(overall greater than 6.5 wt%),indicating that the lithospheric mantle would also record the metasomatism by the carbonate rocks from the subducting oceanic slab.Under the background of the rollback of the subducting paleo-Pacific slab and the destruction of the North China Craton,partial melting of the lower crust would produce granitic magmas that led to the enrichment of gold in the residual crust.The syn-mineralization asthenosphere upwelling would promote the recycling of the lower crust and the partial melting of the metasomatic mantle domains.Basic magmas,produced by the partial melting,and the mantle itself would degas to form ore fluids.The ore fluids would further leach gold in the lower crust to increase its fertility.The auriferous fluids were transported to the middle to upper crust along the detachment and strike-slip faults.Water-rock interaction and fluid immiscibility,which occurred in and above the ductile-brittle transition zone to induce gold precipitation,formed the Jiaodong gold deposits.Given the unique geological features and genetic model of the Jiaodong gold deposits,they can be defined as“Jiaodong-type”gold deposits.Jun DENG Qingfei WANG Liang ZHANG Shengchao XUE Xuefei LIU Lin YANG Liqiang YANG Kunfeng QIU Yayun LIANG 2023Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,10:2

20Speed and Trend of China's Urbanization: A Comparative Study Based on Cross-Country Panel Data Model显示文摘This article investigates the speed and trend of urbanization in China and other countries by applying a non-linear model with panel data from 41 big countries with a population of over ten millions. It fi nds that the relationship between China's urbanization and economic development presents a less fl uctuating S-shaped curve which refl ects the variation in urbanization between China and other large countries. Calculated in line with the PPP(purchasing power parity) of 2009, China's rapid urbanization started when the GDP per capita reached 1,339 US dollars and the urbanization level was 22.92%, though lower than the world average by 5.16 percentage points. China's rapid urbanization ends when the GDP per capita reaches 12,088 US dollars and the urbanization level amounts to 50.69%, with the percentage lower than the world average by 16.32 percentage points. And China's urbanization will be completed when the GDP per capita climbs to 28,306 US dollars and the urbanization level reaches 61.55%, 12.32 percentage points lower than the world average then. Nevertheless, the unique background of China, including its socio-economic development, land institutional arrangements, and authoritarian political system, will have a great impact on the urbanization trend.
