1Hygroscopicity of particles generated from photooxidation of α-pinene under diferent oxidation conditions in the presence of sulfate seed aerosols显示文摘Smog chamber experiments were conducted to investigate the hygroscopicity of particles generated from photooxidation of α-pinene/NOx with diferent sulfate seed aerosols or oxidation conditions. Hygroscopicity of particles was measured by a tandem diferential mobility analyzer(TDMA) in terms of hygroscopic growth factor(Gf), with a relative humidity of 85%. With sulfate seed aerosols present, Gf of the aerosols decreased very fast before notable secondary organic aerosols(SOA) formation was observed, indicating a heterogeneous process between inorganic seeds and organic products might take place as soon as oxidation begins, rather than only happening after gas-aerosol partition of organic products starts. The final SOA-coated sulfate particles had similar or lower Gf than seed-free SOA. The hygroscopicity of the final particles was not dependent on the thickness but on the hygroscopicity properties of the SOA, which were influenced by the initial sulfate seed particles. In the two designed aging processes, Gf of the particles increased more significantly with introduction of OH radical than with ozone. However, the hygroscopicity of SOA was very low even after a long time of aging, implying that either SOA aging in the chamber was very slow or the Gf of SOA did not change significantly in aging. Using an aerosol composition speciation monitor(ACSM) and matrix factorization(PMF) method, two factors for the components of SOA were identified, but the correlation between SOA hygroscopicity and the proportion of the more highly oxidized factor could be either positive or negative depending on the speciation of seed aerosols present.Biwu Chu Kun Wang Hideto Takekawa Junhua Li Wei Zhou Jingkun Jiang Qinxing Ma Hong He Jiming Hao 2014Journal of Environmental Sciences2014,26,1:6

17Sn content gradient GeSn with strain controlled for high performance GeSn mid-infrared photodetectors显示文摘GeSn detectors have attracted a lot of attention for mid-infrared Si photonics,due to their compatibility with Si complementary metal oxide semiconductor technology.The GeSn bandgap can be affected by Sn composition and strain,which determines the working wavelength range of detectors.Applying the Sn content gradient GeSn layer structure,the strain of GeSn can be controlled from fully strained to completely relaxed.In this work,the strain evolution of GeSn alloys was investigated,and the effectiveness of gradually increasing Sn composition for the growth of high-Sn-content GeSn alloys was revealed.Relaxed GeSn thick films with Sn composition up to 16.3%were grown,and GeSn photodetectors were fabricated.At 77 K,the photodetectors showed a cutoff wavelength up to 4.2μm and a peak responsivity of 0.35 A/W under 1 V at 2.53μm.These results indicate that GeSn alloys grown on a Sn content gradient GeSn structure have promising application in mid-infrared detection.XIANGQUAN LIU JUN ZHENG CHAOQUN NIU TAORAN LIU QINXING HUANG MINGMING LI DIANDIAN ZHANG YAQING PANG ZHI LIU YUHUA ZUO BUWEN CHENG 2022Photonics Research2022,10,7:0

19Density Functional Theory Study of Marine Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers in Anaerobic Degradation显示文摘Polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs)are a kind of serious pollutants in the ocean.Biodegradation is considered as an economical and safe way for PBDEs removal and reductive debromination dominates the initial pathway of anaerobic degradation.On the basis of experimental study,Octa-BDE 197,Hepta-BDE 183,Hexa-BDE 153,Penta-BDE 99 and Tetra-BDE 47 were selected as the initial degradation objects,and their debromination degradation were studied using density functional theory.The structures were optimized by Gaussian 09 program.Furthermore,the molecular orbitals and charge distribution were analyzed.All C-Br bond dissociation energies at different positions including ortho,meta and para bromine atoms were calculated and the sequence of debromination was obtained.There is a close relationship between molecular structure,charge,molecular orbital and C-Br bond.All PBDEs exhibited similar debromination pathways with preferential removal of meta and para bromines.XU Xiang MAN Miaomiao SUN Qinxing LIU Qingzhi WU Kechen YANG Dengfeng 2023Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,5:0
