1Removal of copper ions from aqueous solution by calcium alginate immobilized kaolin显示文摘Kaolin has been widely used as an adsorbent to remove heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions.However,the lower heavy metal adsorption capacity of kaolin limits its practical application.A novel environmental friendly material,calcium alginate immobilized kaolin (kaolin/CA),was prepared using a sol-gel method.The effects of contact time,pH,adsorbent dose,and temperature on Cu 2+ adsorption by kaolin/CA were investigated.The Langmuir isotherm was used to describe the experimental adsorption,the maximum Cu 2+ adsorption capacity of the kaolin/CA reached up to 53.63 mg/g.The thermodynamic studies showed that the adsorption reaction was a spontaneous and endothermic process.Yanhui Li Bing Xia Quansheng Zhao Fuqiang Liu Pan Zhang Qiuju Du DechangWang Da Li ZonghuaWang Yanzhi Xia 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,3:14

8Understanding auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder: a system- atic review in transgenic mouse models显示文摘Auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder is a unique group of hearing dysfunctions characterized by preserved outer hair cell function and abnormal neural conduction of the auditory pathway. However, the pathogenic mechanism underlying this disorder is not clear. We therefore performed a systematic review of genetic mouse models with different gene mutations to provide a valuable tool for better understanding of the process and the possible molecular mechanisms. Of the 18 articles retrieved, nine met the required criteria. All biochemical, histological, and electrophysiological results were recorded for each of the mouse models, as was the transgenic technology. 9HDAC inhibitors induce proline dehydrogenase (POX) transcription and anti-apoptotic autophagy in triple negative breast cancer显示文摘Triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)is the most aggressive subtype of breast cancer w ith poor clinical outcom es and w itho ut effective targeted therapies.Numerous studies have suggested that HDAC inhibitors(TSA/SAHA)may be effective in TNBCs.Proline oxidase,also known as proline dehydrogenase(POX/PRODH),is a key enzyme in the proline m etabolism pathway and plays a vital role in tum origenesis.In this study,we found that HDAC inhibitors(TSA/SAHA)significantly increased POX expression and autophagy through activating AMPK.Depletion of POX decreased autophagy and increased apoptosis induced by HDAC inhibitors in TNBC cells.These results suggest that POX contributes to cell survival under chemotherapeutic stresses and might serve as a potential target for treatm ent of TNBC.Huan Fang Guangshi Du Qiuju Wu Rong Liu Ceshi Chen Jing Feng 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,10:0
