1WEAR FAILURE MECHANISM AND MULTI-IMPACT PROPERTY OF AUTOMOTIVE ENGINE CHAIN显示文摘The multi-impact characteristics and failure mechanism of two kinds of automotive enginechain made in China are studied through engine assembly and road-drive tests. The worn surfacemorphologies of rubbing area between pin, bush and roller are also analyzed based on scanning elec-tron microscope. The results show that the main wear mechanism of automotive engine chain is fa-tigue wear, and its failure mechanism is the forming, extending and flaking of cracks on top layer ofpin and bush. In addition, the material, hot-treatment method and shaping technique for roller have agreat influence upon the resistance to multi-impact. 2Successive inverse and normal magnetocaloric effects in the Mn-vacancy compound Mn0.95Co0.75Cu0.25Ge显示文摘Ferromagnetic-structural transformation has been studied widely in MnCoGe-based materials. However, the magnetostructural transition(MST) from antiferromagnetic(AFM) orthorhombic phase to ferromagnetic(FM) hexagonal phase, which may lead to a large inverse magnetocaloric effect(MCE), has rarely been reported. Here, the introduction of Mn vacancy lowers the structural transition temperature while retains the AFM state in the orthorhombic phase, thus successfully realizing the AFM-FM MST in Mn0.95Co0.75Cu0.25Ge. Moreover, successive inverse and normal MCEs are observed around the first-order AFM-FM MST and the second-order FM-paramagnetic(PM) transition, respectively. A thermostat is proposed based on this special feature, which could release heat above the critical temperature while absorb heat below the critical temperature by simply applying the same magnetization/demagnetization cycles. 3Vertical‐organic‐nanocrystal‐arrays for crossbar memristors with tuning switching dynamics toward neuromorphic computing显示文摘Memristors proposed by Leon Chua provide a new type of memory device for novel neuromorphic computing applications.However,the approaching of distinct multi‐intermediate states for tunable switching dynamics,the con-trolling of conducting filaments(CFs)toward high device repeatability and reproducibility,and the ability for large‐scale preparation devices,remain full of challenges.Here,we show that vertical‐organic‐nanocrystal‐arrays(VONAs)could make a way toward the challenges.The perfect one‐dimensional structure of the VONAs could confine the CFs accurately with fine‐tune resistance states in a broad range of 103 ratios.The availability of large‐area VONAs makes the fabrication of large‐area crossbar memristor arrays facilely,and the analog switching characteristic of the memristors is to effectively imitate different kinds of synaptic plasticity,indicating their great potential in future applications.Fangxu Yang Lingjie Sun Qingxi Duan Huanli Dong Zhaokun Jing Yuchao Yang Rongjin Li Xiaotao Zhang Wenping Hu Leon Chua 2021SmartMat2021,2,1:5

7Nanosilver resonance scattering spectral method for determination of hydroxyl radical and its application显示文摘Silver nanoparticles were prepared under a microwave high-pressure condition using citric acid sodium as a reducer while the excess citrate was removed under high speed centrifugation. There is a resonance scattering (RS) peak at 470 nm for silver nanoparticles. In a pH 4.0 HAc-NaAc buffer solution, hydroxyl radicals from the Fenton reaction can oxidize silver nanoparticles to Ag+, resulting in the RS intensity decreasing. The decreased RS intensity at 470 nm (△I 470 nm) is linear with respect to the concentration of H2O2 (C) in the range of 0.27-7.56 μmol/L with a detection limit of 0.23 μmol/L. Its regression equation is △I 470 nm = 24.3 C + 13.8 with a correlation coefficient of 0.9959. 8Adjustable thermal expansion in La(Fe,Si)13-based conductive composites by high-pressure synthesis显示文摘Providing a suitable contact interface, where a high conductivity material with a desirable coefficient of thermal expansion(CTE) adjoins the target micro-electric devices, is very crucial to optimize the properties and service life of the relevant instruments. Regrettably, a high conductivity, low thermal expansion and relatively inexpensive material is very rare. Composites, fortunately, can offer a method to design materials with adjustable properties by mixing two or more diverse constituents. In this paper, high conductivity composites with adjustable thermal expansion were successfully prepared by a high-pressure synthesis. The composites are based on combining La(Fe,Si)13-based compounds, the materials showing a giant, isotropic negative thermal expansion(NTE) properties, within Cu matrix. The La(Fe,Si)13-based compounds were used to adjust the CTE of the composites, while the Cu phase is in charge of tuning the thermal conductivity properties. Thus, by changing the relative amount of the two components, the composites with high conductivities and adjustable CTE were achieved. Furthermore, the thermal expansion and magnetic properties of the composites were investigated by a physical property measurement system. 9Utilization of Bayer Red Mud Derived from Bauxite for Belite-Ferroaluminate Cement Production显示文摘Bayer red mud(BRM)is a kind of industrial solid waste characterized by huge volume and high alkalinity.Its disposal generates serious environmental pollution and occupies a large number of farmland.The utilization and recycling of BRM is currently a crucial issue and needs to be addressed as soon as possible.The chemical composition of BRM is similar to cement clinker.In this study,the feasibility of preparing Belite-ferroaluminate clinker(BFAC)with different BRM was explored.The physical properties,mechanics performance,radioactivity levels and trace harmful metals leaching were measured.XRD,BEI and EDS were used to characterize the mineral formation,and SEM is used to reveal the solidified mechanism of trace harmful metal.The results show that the preparation of BFAC using a certain amount of BRM was feasible.The formed phases in clinkers mainly included C_(4)A_(3)Š,C_(2)S and C_(4)AF.The flexural strength and compressive strength of BFAC at 3 days increased whereas 28 and 90 days decreased with the increase of BRM due to the formation of higher C_(4)AF and lower C_(2)S.The formation of large amounts of Al_(2)O_(3)·3H_(2)O gel and Fe_(2)O_(3)·3H_(2)O gel in hydration products enhanced the adsorption capability to heavy metals and other ions.The trace harmful metal concentration in the leaching solution was much less than the upper limits.The radioactivity level of leaching solution was close to natural radioactive background.BRM is safe as raw material of BFAC.Yanrong Zhao Ping Chen Shifeng Wang Yaxiong Ji Yuanhao Wang Bolin Wu Rongjin Liu 2020Journal of Renewable Materials2020,8,11:2
10Broad negative thermal expansion operation-temperature window in antiperovskite manganese nitride with small crystallites显示文摘Using spark plasma sintering (SPS), Mn3Cu0.6Ge0.4N crystallites have been fabricated with different crystallite sizes, and their magnetic properties and thermal behaviors were systemically investigated. With decreasing crystallite size, the magnetic transition becomes increasingly slow, accompanied by broadening of the negative thermal expansion (NTE) operation-temperature window. The NTE operation-temperature window for the 12-nm crystallite sample reaches at 140 K, which is about 75% larger than that of the 74-nm crystallite sample. The magnetic properties and NTE operation-temperature window can be tuned by varying the crystallite size.
